Ancient Greek Sandals

This is called Naxos Apotecary Ancient Greek Sandals are on the 1st floor. Beautiful building with multi brands of Greek products. We came to buy sandals and the staff were delightful. We even got a cocktail! Comfortable quiet place to come to shop. Great, friendly service!

Extremely disappointing experience. I ordered shoes that appeared available on their website, only to be told later they were not in stock -without any prior notification. I had to call four times to get basic updates. Each time I received a different story: “system issues,” “the order will ship tomorrow,” and finally, “the product doesn’t exist.” Emails they claimed were sent never reached me. Their own system flagged bounces, yet nobody thought to call me. Even when I agreed to pay the price difference for another pair, they delayed sending me payment details. I was assured that if I paid before noon, the order would ship the same day - it never did. The customer support here is far below international standards: inconsistent, unprofessional, and unaccountable. Instead of resolving issues, they created unnecessary stress and wasted my time. In the end, I had to request a full refund.

Staff are rude and unwilling to help. I was ready to drop ~€400 on two pairs of sandals, I asked if I could get a fresh pair as the suede was slightly scratched. He proceeded to say no, it’s because I tried it on- mind you they only let you try on one side at a time. He proceeded to snatch the sandal away and said “all leather is the same”- which it is not as the grain differs on every pair. Go support a local business/yia yia that’s willing to help you instead.

The most beautiful handmade sandals in Greece! The sandals are made so beautiful with style and care and they last! Both beautiful and useful they are my go to brand when it comes to sandals! I feel like I am wearing a piece of history. This flagship store is stunning and one of a kind. It's a must see when you are traveling in Athens, Greece!

Amazing shoes and service in-store! If you're in Athens, I absolutely recommend coming here. The shoes are super high quality. I went back and forth for months about ordering a pair of sandals online, only to find myself actually in Athens a few months later. I'm so glad I waited, because I had the opportunity to try on a ton of different pairs and choose some that fit what I was looking for. Natalie provided amazing service and support! Highly recommend.

The shoes are nice if a bit overpriced. Also, they did not carry stock. If I walk into a so-called flagship store, I expect to find (almost) the full collection in all sizes. “Try the online shop” doesn’t cut it, guys. I came to the physical store for a reason. I also overheard them tell another customer sales are only for online purchases. Go figure…

I love the ancient greek sandals shop…If you’re in Athen go and grab one, two or three of these beautiful made shoes. I had a beautiful experience with the SA and a long talk with the Store Manager inside of the shop, who knows everything about the shoes. I had a wonderful chat with him. So lovely people and they’re all super helpful. I will come back soon…and I love my Ikaria Sandals🪽

This is the only place I get my sandals from because they are not only exquisite, they are comfortable, classic, well-made, elegant, and fit my size 12 feet. I have four pairs of different styles and will continue to buy my sandals from here for years to come! I get mine shipped to the US, but plan on visiting the store when I go to Athens :)
