Wow!! We finished our 3 night stay at Ancient Hue garden houses this morning and are already missing it. ||||This place is simply perfect. We stayed in 2 connecting rooms in the Gustave Eiffel villa and it was everything we hoped for. ||The rooms were beautifully decorated with charming French Indochine style and spotlessly clean. Definitely the most clean and well kept rooms we have stayed in out of all our Vietnam trip. ||||The staff were so friendly and helpful from everyone we crossed paths with and the breakfast choice was fantastic. So much nicer than a buffet style breakfast at most hotels. ||||It is such a charming boutique style property but with 5 star service and amenities. ||||We will definitely be back again in the future. ||||Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable, especially Son.

Our three-night stay at Ancient Hue Garden House was simply delightful. Although we were initially disappointed to find that the traditional Chinese-style rooms (one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel) were under renovation—and this was not mentioned in advance—the French villa room we were given was beautiful and full of charm. The fresh flowers in the room added a thoughtful touch, and we appreciated the complimentary welcome drinks and afternoon tea.||||Breakfast was served à la carte, freshly prepared, and consistently delicious. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant twice and found it to be easily the best meals we had in Hue. The quality of the food was high, prices were fair, and the setting was lovely.||||The heart of this hotel is undoubtedly its staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and engaging. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with them and even took photos with the restaurant and front desk teams. Special thanks to the manager, who made it a point to greet guests during breakfast—such a nice gesture. This was easily our favorite hotel during our travels in Vietnam.||||One caveat: the massage experience was underwhelming. It felt rushed and was interrupted by construction noise from the ongoing renovations that continued past 5:00 PM. Despite filling out a form indicating where the therapist should focus, they did not follow it. Additionally, it was uncomfortable and inappropriate when the massage therapist asked me to change my rating after the session. The spa did not meet the high standards set by the rest of our stay.

If you appreciate history, beautiful antique furniture and architecture, impeccable fine dining flavours and excellent hospitality service within the grounds of a jasmine and rose scented garden, Ancient Hue Garden House would be the perfect place to stay at. My family and I enjoyed this beautiful peaceful hotel very much. The French restaurant is a culinary destination in itself for one of the most exquisite French style food I’ve ever had, and the gorgeous interior is lovely. Vietnamese cuisine at Kim Long fine dining are delightfully plated with vegetable carvings and showcase a repertoire of uniquely Hue dishes. I recommend the enjoyable cooking class with Kim Long’s chef as I learnt useful techniques to create restaurant-quality dishes and these techniques are an intangible souvenir of Hue’s cooking style. The elegant accommodation (we stayed at Kim Phung house) and delightful spa services also left a deep impression.||Thank you so much once again to all the staff at Ancient Hue Garden House for creating thoughtful and beautiful experiences for your guests!||For improvement, it would be nice to have a pillow selection. Everything else was excellent!

We stayed for 2 nights in June. we had one room in the old-style part of the hotel for us and one room in the French-style part of the hotel for our adult children (as they can't do twin beds in the old-style rooms). Both rooms were spacious, clean, had lovely bathrooms.||The hotel had two lovely swimming pools - one in each part of the hotel and neither were busy.||Breakfast was all ordered (i.e. not a buffet) but you could order over and over if you wanted more of anything, and it was all very tasty. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but they had complimentary afternoon tea - which was a lovely break in the day.||The location is excellent - located centrally in the area of the main sites. Grabs were easy to get.||We did the local sites ourselves and then hired a car+driver (arranged ourselves although the hotel offered) for an afternoon to go around the sites that were further afield (the three main tombs and the abandoned water park).||The hotel team were very friendly and helpful.||This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and we would definitely stay there again.

real luxury in a good way. we had been upgraded due to renovation and what a room, it was really nice with an outdoor shower as an extra little detail. the facilities and service were top notch, two lovely swimming pools, nice restaurant and an ala carte menu for breakfast, with everything you could want. the staff were always attentive to help and service, fantastic. our warmest recommendations

We had the pleasure so stay 3 nights on this fantastic Hue resort-like hotel where rooms are located in separate houses. Its location is great, close to the Citadel and very quiet. The grounds are fabulous, gives you an intimate feeling, it's like walking in paradise. They have relatively few rooms and we had the top King suite, a very spacious room with a high ceiling and ultra quiet, with a very comfortable king-size bed and great pillows. But the most outstanding feature is the incomparable good service from all their personnel, who treat you as if you are the only guest and make you feel at home. They also provide a suite of tours and transport services so one never has to go through the trouble of arranging it somehow with outside companies.||I don't know if I ever will be back in Hue, but if I do I will not even bother to look for another place to stay than Ancient Hue Garden Houses. It belongs to a rare pinnacle of outstanding hotels.

The grounds at Ancient Hue Garden House are absolutely stunning — lush, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. It truly feels like a tranquil retreat. The rooms are nicely decorated, blending traditional charm with comfort, and the beds were excellent, making for a restful stay.||However, there were a few downsides that impacted the overall experience. Each evening, large tour groups arrived for dinner, which disrupted the otherwise calm atmosphere. We stayed for two nights, and both evenings were affected. Additionally, our room was located next to the French restaurant, and we could clearly hear guests leaving late at night — these were not hotel guests, which made it feel less private.||While the restaurants offer a beautiful setting, the food wasn't particularly memorable. It wasn’t bad, but compared to the many fantastic meals we had during our two-week trip across Vietnam, we expected more.||Also worth noting: you can hear activities from the surrounding village, including early morning traffic and construction, which may be disturbing if you're hoping for a completely quiet environment.||With some improvements in soundproofing, food quality, and guest flow, this could be a truly exceptional place. That said, the setting and ambiance still make it a special stay for those visiting Hue.

Stunning hotel and amazing service. We had two rooms: one in the old houses and one in the more modern bit. Both were charming in their own way but for a real taste of the old city, take a room in the ubique old house. Breakfast was great and complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely, surprise bonus. Great pool and lovely staff. Highly recommend
