Ancient Katzrin Park

Interesting location to gain some cultural insights into the people who lived in this area. There are some traditional Jewish housing with restored tools and furniture. There are also farming equipment, olive oil pressing equipment, and many historical displays. It is a nice facility but small. If you are in the area, it may be worth the detour. But there are many better sites to explore in this region.

If you already are close to that park, it's a good visit. But in any case, don't go there just for that park. Honestly speaking, besides the ancient synagogue, not very interesting. The site seems "on construction". Perhaps not the best time of the year.

It's off season right now so some work is being done on some of the exhibits, but I still found the park to be incredibly informative. We're learning Bava Batra right now and there's lots of discussion about courtyards, and it is fascinating to be able to walk inside of an actual courtyard from the days of Chazal.

Very beautiful very historic, dated back to before counting Gave 4 stars cz it's too expensive for such a small garden. Not fair

This was a great place to help imagine everyday life at a lot of the surrounding historical sites. If you go on your own, call ahead to schedule your visit so you can see the live demonstrations. A great place to bring kids and a great place to help imagine life in the first centuries.

This is my first time to visit ISRAEL and it is absolutely breath taking.. To see artifacts that are over 2,000 years old and to realize that this is a place that JESUS was just blows my mind. It just doesn't get any better than this. ❤

If you are touring the Golan you may want to check out this site. Remains of an ancient synagogue and a village that was populated by a Jewish community have been uncovered. You can gain an understanding how people lived in the Golan many years ago. The only little problem with this site is that they charge an entrance fee and it isn't national park site... But they do have restrooms open to visitors and the site is right next to the capital city of the Golan - Katzrin.
