There’s no way to write a second review for the same place, unless you edit your previous one, so I’m adding this bit to my 2023 review, which you can scroll down to…
We went to &Caws on Friday night and had a great meal of small plates, delicious fondu and excellent wine and local stout.
Particular highlights were the Ciaco e Pepe Chickpeas and Focaccia with Taleggio and N’Juda. The fondue, which you can have with broccoli and potatoes, as well as bread and cornichons is excellent. The Basque Cheesecake with Apple Compote was more than enough for 2 people and delicious. We had a lovely supper of a few things done very well. It was good value too - about £50 for the food for 2 of us, and we walked away full!!
Lovely service and great music and ambience too. Thanks Ed and Mollie 🧡
My Review from 2023
We are regular customers, and for good reason. The shop has great range of delicious cheeses, charcuterie, other deli items, pasta, wine and local beers. Ed is so knowledgable and he and Tim offer friendly advice. They also makes delicious filled rolls, which change daily. (See Instagram for the weekly menu.)
We’ve also been to their usual Friday night openings as well as specific events, such as a beer and cheese tasting evening last night, which was excellent. The Head Brewer from Llandudno’s Wild Horse Brewing Co showcased some of their beers, which Ed had expertly paired with some of &Caws’ cheeses. Beer and cheese is going to become a new thing in our house😀
