Fire exit door locked - I kindly asked a staff member to open it and they refused saying it was for their safety to keep it locked. Explained that it’s a fire exit and needs to be open incase of an emergency, store manager refused to open it, I refused to leave until it was opened! She said that she keeps it locked for her staff safety! Seems like customer safety isn’t important. Finally she opened it after another customer stating it needs to be opened.

A staff with black fluffy curly hair asked me to hang the clothes that I tried and returned, while she was hanging other clothes. After I said I never did this before(in this changing room here). She said I didn’t know how to hang the clothes. I liked going here and it was in the past. She should quit her job if she asks the customers to hang the clothes.

Lovely store, had a good selection. I was a bit turned off by the Asian store assistant at the fitting room.( Hey I'm asian too!) I took about 5 items from the floor to try and had thoughtfully put back all the items back on the hangers while I was in the changing room. While I came out, I was asked by her to put back all the items on the rack... the items were heavy so I had to put them down on the table first before putting them back on the rack. ( In most stores I visited, don't customers just hand back the items to the store assistants? Isn't it already a plus that customers do that in the first place?) So I thought to myself, whatever, it's just a few steps. And I put half the items back to the rack and was walking back to the table to get back the other half.. She barked at me condescendingly asking me to put the rest on the rack hurriedly as if it was MY job as a customer and I'm the rude one... Really was an unpleasant end to my shopping day, just shop online next time! - visited 12 august 7pm

Just walked out of this store disappointed. The closing time is 8PM but they closed the fitting room 25 mins before closing time. I am standing there with 3 items to try and buy and the store security tells me "you should come early. We don't work per the customer". Just having good collection of clothes is not enough, good customer service is what keeps you relevant for long. Disappointed

There were two shop assistants in the changing rooms that weren’t very helpful at all, they were so involved in their conversation that I don’t think they even noticed when I walked in, so I looked to see if any of the changing rooms were available and when I turned round they were both giving me a nasty look and one of them told me it was full. It just felt like a few lessons in customer service wouldn’t have gone a miss. That being said some of the other staff were very kind and the woman behind the till was very patient and nice with my mum who left something in the store and had to go back for it.

Fantastic clothes, always able to find something here for my partner. However staff could be more customer friendly. They closed dressing room 19 minutes before closing the stores and refused to let customers use it, clearly both sacrificing sales and customer satisfaction. I was in the waiting room waiting for my partner, while the staff turned away 5+ customers in 10 minutes in a very rude way... Staff training and/or incentives needs an upgrade. This was 4 August, 17:40-17:50.

Gorgeous store, well put together. Staff are actually friendly and we’re happy to pass on a discount for a dress that was on sale online. Lovely and clean. Even the customers were lovely. Will definitely be back!

Terrible customer service, I've never encountered anything worse than what I experienced here. Visited October 27, 2022 at 5pm and was queuing up at the counter, seemingly next to pay, when another line happened to form - we raised the issue to the cashier (male, blonde bob and glasses). He chose to serve another pair of customers, which is fine, but we were then BADMOUTHED by him in front of the customers paying and everyone else queueing. Upon clarifying if we could make our payment thereafter, he reacted with hostility and was insistent that we were in the wrong for even asking. It somehow felt like we were lashed out at and targeted because of our ethnicity (we’re Asian). I hope other people don't have to feel uncomfortable or disrespected when shopping here in the future. No one needs a bad memory associated with a perfectly wonderful piece of clothing from & Other Stories.
