The 5 Best Hostels in Venice (Updated 2025)

"On the mainland just a couple minutes’ walk from the central train station, I found Anda Hostel to be an award-winning, very social party hostel with nightly events like karaoke and beer pong and DJ sets on weekends. They offer private rooms and dorms (including female-only dorms); dorm beds have privacy curtains, a socket, a locker and a reading light, and mattresses are described as pretty comfy though shower pressure can be weak. Amenities include a 24-hour reception, a bar/club, many common areas including a private courtyard with an urban garden, a co-working area with Macs, a small guest kitchen and laundry. As a perk, HostelPass members get 10% off, a free welcome drink and a free city map." - Matthew Kepnes

Actually great hostel. Just 3 minutes walk from train station, everything fast and smooth. Just a concern - 5 EUR for a towel, which is too much. And it is only one place where you can find hair dryer - inside the room. So if someone wanna go to shower early morning you 100% will hear that. And as everyone said, no bad curtains. So it’s better to take a mask for sleep. Extra 8 EUR for breakfast worth it.

The room where really good; clean, comfortable and modern. The only negative side is that there is no bed curtains so not much privacy and the light can wake you up. Staff was friendly. The common areas where nice and with a variety of options. They host event but I did not participate in any. The location is perfect because while it is not in central Venice you are 4 min away from the train station and it takes you to Venice in 10 min. Is also easier for when you need to go to the airport. Suggestions. The reception furniture creates to much of a "wall" with the guest and the staff. If they had something g more casual , a desk where is more face to face (No barrier) Anda would be able to create a strong connection with the guest.

We stayed in a private room and it was amazing. The room is very spacious and has a good view of the town. The hostel was just a five-minute walk from mestre station. The only complaint is about the breakfast, the scramble egg was either too wet or too dry. The rest is mostly processed food like bacon and croissants.

I stayed at Anda Venice for my birthday back in March with my girlfriend, and we had a really great experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made our stay feel special. The room was clean and comfortable — perfect for a couple of relaxing days away. The area around the hostel felt a bit dodgy at first, but it’s right next to the train station, which made getting into Venice incredibly easy and convenient. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a short trip, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for friendly service and easy access to the city.

I had a nice stay here. Only booked for one night and at the end I stayed for 3 nights. The 6-bed room is very cosy and clean. From the window in the room you can enjoy a mountain view. And the hostel is very close to the Mestre train station and one big supermarket. The only downside is that there are no curtains installed on the bed. So if you are sensitive with light, it might be a problem.

I had a wonderful stay at Anda Hostel in Venice! The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere was lively but still cozy — perfect for meeting new people or just relaxing after exploring the city. Everything was clean and well-organized, and the location is great, just a short walk from the train station. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Venice! Ciao ❤️

I really liked this place. It was a bit of tough job to trust anywhere in Venice as I could see in all of the reviews people are talking about bed bugs. I talked to them and they assured me that they have 2 weekly inspection. Cleaning for the room daily and safety was considered quite nicely. They also got me a nice bed as I was a bit claustrophobic and made sure im happy with that. I can say they have considered all needs of a solo traveler. The only thing that they can improve is privacy. I do believe specially in mixed rooms you need more privacy for example to get changed otherwise you have to go to the toilet or bathroom to change. They also helped me to find shuttle to the airport. After midnight, security asks for your door card to make sure strangers are not getting in. Good location Nice space for those who want to eat and drink A garden to be out and smoke if you need Perfect specifically considering the price Its a lovely place that I do recommend to my friends.

I had an incredible stay here!! The staff were super friendly. I enjoyed the karaoke night and the IPA on tap was really good! The bed was comfy and the head area had a panel around it, so felt a bit more private. There was a little storage ledge, outlet, and light. There were 2 showers and one toilet and never had problems waiting for either. It was only a 5 minute walk from the train station. And they had free (unsupervised) luggage storage or some options for locking up luggage in lockers. Overall incredible value for the price!
