Wonderful street/ area. Super clean and safe during the day and night. So many shops to choose from including walking vendors. During the evening, there were some people sharing their cause but even that was done respectfully. Very dog-friendly area to walk.

This area of Oaxaca City has amazing vibes and it is a must visit. It is so colourful full of shops, restaurants, art and small markets in some streets. You definitely need to visit here at night time on the weekend to get another different atmosphere with lights and heaps of people! It’s fun! We like it, many things to see, you should visit it, normally you will find a calenda on weekends, and you will see children selling their drawings!

This is a great place to stroll through the historic center. Take a walk from Santo Domingo to the Cathedral at the Zocalo. You’ll find lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants along the walk. It is often beautifully adorned with decorations for holidays like Day of the Dead and Christmas. Also near Santo Domingo you’ll find artisan fairs during major celebrations like Semana Santa and Christmas. You’ll often see wedding calendar celebrations around Santo Domingo.

Oaxaca City is a great place to visit. They had enough places to park, and things were very close in walking distance. The only problem is traffic, gets a little slow because of the pot holes.

It was beautiful, clean, and at certain parts of the day, very lively. We loved it.

One of the most charming and beautiful pedestrian streets in Mexico. Flanked by restaurants, art galleries and handicraft shops at both sides. Fantastic vibe.

I experienced a loud fun entertaining event in Oaxaca, a Callejoneada Vhuntermassage LLC

We booked 3 tours on 3 different days. First they changed our schedule saying the weather wasn't good only to find that the tour continued without us and we were put on another tour. We were okay with the change at first given that we had 3 days tour. Next day we came in for the 2nd tour scheduled and they did not inform us that the scheduled tour is cancelled. We reached pick up point and we were told that the tour is cancelled. When we questioned they were on calls and talking to each other in Spanish but refused to speak to us. Ultimately we had to fight to get the money back and cancel rest of our tours. Very bad experience! They don't even deserve that one star!

This reiew is for Agencia De Viajes El Andador in the heart of Oaxaca. I'm sorry to say this, but my mom and I had a very bad experience with this company, including our interaction with the disrespectful manager named Vicky. We travel a lot and had not experienced such disorganization or disrespect. We took a total of 3 tours: the city 1 hour tour bus, the all day tour to Monte Albán, and second city tour to Jalatlaco on a different type of bus. The only reason I am giving this a 2 out of 5 is the employees, in my case Pepe, the drivers, and 2 out of 3 of the tour guides who are the reason why this experience was not a 0 or 1. As Pepe approached us on the streets to recruit us, he was very welcoming and informative. He then walked us to the main office so we could pay for the 1 hour red bus tour and the Monte Alban tour. My mom and I had never visited Oaxaca and we are very curious individuals, so we were asking questions, which Pepe was answering for us in the office, but then Vicky rudely intervened and spoke down to my mom and I who were conducting our entire visit in Spanish (we are Mexican/American). We then went to the bus. This was chaotic. They made people who were already sitting on one bus move to another bus to give us more space (which we did not need). People lost their spots, some people pushed and shoved to secure spots on the top of the bus. This tour was sold to us as making two stops, but given the disorganization and the reloading, we took off 15 minutes late, and did not have the second stop we were promised. The tour guide and driver did a great job once we took off. Two days later we took the Monte Albán tour. We were picked up 50 minutes after the time we were told. Our hotel felt bad for us and called El Andador on our behalf to inquire about the pick up and their response was that they had already communicated with us that they were running late, which they never did. Our hotel told us that they used to work with this company, but that given that the quality of service had gone down, they stopped recommending them. My mom has a handicap card and requires to sit in the front of the bus. When we inquired about this days before this trip, again Vicky, the person in charge, did not acknowledge my mom or her handicap credential. Then told us not to worry because the drives are short, but she's not a doctor. The insensitivity to my mom's medical needs left another bad taste. As we were in this tour, there was a family from the Netherlands who had been promised a guide who also spoke English. This was their second trip with the company, and for the second time, the English bilingual guide did not show up. They were lied to twice and left the tour one hour into it very disappointed. Also, our guide did not show up until after we left Monte Albán and I heard from other tourists on the bus, that this was common with this company. The third bus ride to Jalatlaco was the better of the three. The guide, Angel was great and the driver was excellent If you require any special medical attention or a guide in Engish, again, this is not the company for you. Take your money elsewhere unless you want to risk the disorganization and disrespect. I did not like witnessing Vicky disrespecting her employees or my mom. My mom and I had a better experience with Oaxaca Dreams Travel and Tours and with Herrera Oaxaca Tours (ask for Pepe). Oaxaca is a beautiful place and you don't want to let a company get in the way on how you experience your tours. I'm a Professor who travels a lot so I invested time on this review to make sure no one else has this experience. I hope you find it useful. I will never book tours with this company again.

They cancelled our tour without informing us . Changed dates of different tours we had booked . Would not recommend this business to anyone

I can't recommend this agency. The following happened: I booked a tour with them an a friend separately the same tour on the same day. Incas told they will fetch me from the hotel. My friend (who was in another hotel) went on the day of the tour directly to the departure point. As i was told to wait in my hotel, i did so. After 45 minutes and nobody showed up, the receptionist of my hotel called and the agency told her, that there was a little "problem". So I went to the agency in person and asked, what the problem was. They told me, that the bus had a problem and the tour was canceled. Which was a lie, because my friend wrote me, that he was on the tour and just thought, there would be a second bus, that would fetch people. So I told the woman and she only said "shit":(in Spanish). I got very upset and also told her, that she lies and also asked her, why they didn't call my hotel (of which they got the number and address a day before. I then contacted my friend and he told me, that the bus was full, so no open space, which made me comets the conclusion, that they forgot me on purpose. The day before I could negotiate the price down by 50 Pesos and my suspicion was, that she found people paying more and so she overbooked the bus on purpose ...and on purpose forgot me (otherwise there would have been a free Seat in the bus if they simply would have forgotten me). So I can't say that this is a reliable agency. To be fair at the end, because I convicted her of a lie, they gave me a free city tour. But to be honest: it was my last day and I so much wanted to do the other tour and it's a no go to have such a practice and then even to lie to me and let me wait 45 minutes. So again: Can't recommend this agency for this behavior.
