Modern clean feel-good apartment. We had a studio apartment which was clean and nicely furnished, also basic kitchen equipment was provided. Though we arrived late, the check-in was uncomplicated. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too.

Beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Somehow our cabin was double booked, but the owner offered us a room in the hostel for free. That was very kind! High standards for a hostel with private room, sauna and very clean toilets and showers.

Your experience with this hostel will depend on which part you’re staying in. We saw there were some lovely apartments in the main building with balconies and kitchens. We stayed in a smaller house across from the main one. We found that the check in was very impersonal. “Here’s your key, there’s your place, off you go.” |The first issue was that the bedroom was so tiny that we couldn’t open either of our suitcases inside nor could we store them in the bedroom. We had to have them outside the bedroom door in the stairwell where we also would open and close them. |Secondly there was no breakfast. |Thirdly, while we were up one flight of stairs, the bathrooms were two levels below us in the basement which was really cumbersome. At least the bathrooms were clean. |The downstairs kitchen was pretty poorly equipped and crowded. Had to eat my breakfast out of a saucepan because the couple of bowls that they had were being used. |My recommendation if you want to stay here and seek at least some comfort is to fork out the big bucks and stay in the apartments. Otherwise you’ll just be paying for an overpriced chicken coop.

Slept in 4 bed female dorm (2 bunks, decent mattresses), room has sink, shared toilets and showers are downstairs (all clean and in good order). Bed linen extra if you don't have your own.||Also downstairs is a sauna which is DIY but included in rate - it's great! Clean, new and easy to use. Definitely a highlight of the stay.||Kitchen has all that you need, couch and tv finish the communal area. Cosy and relaxed.||Slightly out of town if you are on foot, but this is an advantage as it's a slightly quieter location.||Good breakfast - standard Norwegian style: cheese, hams, boiled eggs etc.||Recommended.

I stayed a total of 4 nights at this hostel. My room was clean and spacious, with several shared toilets across the hall. Both the toilets and showers in my building were clean. The kitchen was also clean and organized. Despite having 2 stoves, the kitchen only had 3 pans, several pots, and one knife! Next to the kitchen was the laundry room which guests could use for NOK 60. The hostel consists of 3 buildings and 3 cabins. I stayed in the building that also contained the reception office and dining hall.||The breakfast buffet was OK. During my stay most of the guests kept to themselves and very few people went to the breakfast buffet. The hostel also has a cozy meeting room where one can watch TV, read a book, or drink free coffee. ||If you are taking the bus from Alesund to Andalsnes, get off at bus stop Setnes to get to the hostel. Press the red “Stop” button in the bus to tell the bus driver when you want to get off. If you miss the bus stop then you’ll end up at the Andalsnes train station which is a 20 minute walk away from the hostel.

Åndalsnes Vandrerhjem has a great location, with some spectacular views right outside. The buildings remind me of a classic Norwegian farmstead. Arriving late was no problem, and the receptionist was pleasant. Overall, the rooms are of a good standard, and the beds are decent. We found the shared toilets and facilities to be clean and accessible.||There was no breakfast due to COVID-19, which should be communicated better before arrival. It was also not so easy to find parking, as it was almost full, and the parking spots were not marked. We could hear quite clear everything being said outside, as the room was poorly soundproofed.

After running from the horror that was åndalsnes guesthouse we were pleased to find this hostel to be spacious clean and welcoming. ||We were concerned it would be noisy due to proximity to the road but it was not. ||The breakfasts were good. There was also a kitchen upstairs where you could cook for yourself. ||It also had a laundry machine.||Where stayed here 4 nights and had a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.

We stopped off at Andalesnes from a Pand O cruise on the Aurora. |This is a lovely place to visit. Norway 🇳🇴 is a beautiful country. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. It is expensive to buy anything in Norway, three packets of chocolate cost £11!|The little town of Andalesnes sits in the most beautiful and tranquil area. The views from the tiny port are breathtaking. |There is a little railway carriage that|has been converted into a chapel. That is unusual but lovely. |What I noticed about Norway is that it caters for disabled people and those with mobility issues. The walkways are wide and there are plenty of places to sit down. |Out of the whole cruise this was my| favourite place. ||
