Absolutely recommended, this place is extraordinary amazing. You find the best Mexican vegetarian food in this cozy restaurant. The service is magnificent. You can not miss it.

I’m not vegan, but have friends that are. Came here with and I can say that I was shocked how good the food is and has the traditional Mexican flavours. I got the sopes plater and everything was delicious.

“Wow.” That’s all we could say as we tasted the first bite. Truly, this restaurant needs to have a Michelin star. The best flavor, authentic food, and remarkable experience. From great customer service to the intimate dining room, this place has it all. I recommend this for one of Houston’s top vegan restaurants. I travel the world in search of the greatest vegan food (Thailand, Ghana, Switzerland, Italy, Tanzania, Japan, Korea, Egypt, The Netherlands, Dubai, New York, Cali, Atlanta, and beyond!) and if there was a list of top vegan restaurants in the world- Andaluz would be in the top 5. 100/10 can’t wait to go back. Maybe even today!!

I wish I could give higher than 5 stars! I have been craving Mexican food so bad .. I just celebrated one year being vegan and have been missing authentic Mexican food and this more than delivered. I will be coming back to Houston just to indulge at this spot! Friendly waitress (shame on me for not getting her name) and Alex is the Chef of the Year!

Authentic Mexican vegan food! I’m from Houston but moved to Austin and every time I come to Houston, I try and visit this spot! The BEST vegan Mexican food!! The staff is always so kind and friendly! I’ve been following them since they were a pop-up and I’m so happy they have a storefront! 10/10! Even non-vegans love this place!

Long time customer and I must say they have been consistently delivering top quality food and have gotten even better with time. So happy that they now have their own store-front restaurant! This is authentic mexican food, that happens to be vegan. Staff is friendly and food is always fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced, serves dessert and specialty non-alcoholic drinks.

5 stars. Food was hot and delicious. Luis Miguel was playing in the background, great vibe. Great service. Limeade was made to order and so fresh and yummy, especially on a hot afternoon in Houston. They had a lot of dessert options. I took the strawberries and cream to go.

The food here was delicious! We ordered two refreshing watermelon aqua Fresca, one quesabirria taco plate, and one birria taco plate. The food took some time but they gave complementary chips and salsa to munch on while we waited. The food came out hot and packed with flavor. For the taco filling, the server recommended jackfruit so I had that for my quesabirria and my fiancé requested some sort of soy protein for his. Both tasted really good, but the jackfruit was definitely the better choice. We hope to try other options!

I don't even desire to eat anywhere else, for multiple reasons! The food: fresh, authentic, flavorful. The homemade chips and salsa were perfect as I waited for my food. I had the Enchi-Flautas which was basically a crispy enchilada. It was perfection! I also had the appetizer Los Elotes that did not disappoint either. The service: I was helped by a lovely young woman that very well could have been the owner. When she answered my questions about the food, she spoke with passion. You could tell she believes in the food that they make. She made me feel at home & checked to make sure I was good multiple times throughout my visit. The ambiance: 5/5. Clean. Comforting. Great music. Not too bright lights, not too dark. This isn't your average Mexican food spot. Don't be fooled by the vegan label either. This food is PHENOMENAL. Quite honestly the best prepared Mexican food at a restaurant I've ever had.

Y'all! This place is fabulous! If you like vegan TexMex or want to cut inflammatory animal products from your diet, you gotta try this place. I failed to snap pics of food, but the chips and salsa were fabulous! The salsa was not the typical red stuff. It was warm as were the chips. Just made and not greasy. We had the nachos! I liked them better than any TexMex. Excellent flavors and fresh. The service was stellar. Let's talk about location. To be honest, it looks scary because it's in a former tax service place that still has the sign up and it's in a sketchy strip center. My son assured me it would be great because he'd been there. Since he was treating me, I agreed to go. Once inside, all was great. There were other patrons and when we left the place was full. I'm telling you, it is the best vegan food ever. I've been to many restaurants and will definitely go back. I even commented that the food compared to chipotle makes chipotle seem processed (does that make sense?). I have the greatest admiration for self starters who are trying to make it in this town. Some are good and some are not. This was great and I am thrilled to know about it. I hope you will give it a try.

my absolute favorite hidden gem in north houston! every time i try something new from here i enjoy it. I also tried the cauliflower wings with hot lemon pepper and they were so good! the service is a bit slow since it is just one person making the food but it is worth the wait every time, and they are so nice. the nachos were very loaded with housemade chips and the vegan queso was creamy. I loved the flavor of the beans and potatoes (my choice of protein). already craving my next visit :)

My family and I have been traveling and stopped into this wonderful place to try our first ever vegan-mexican restaurant. The service was impeccable and timing was perfect. Never once did we wait too long for any update. This is a nice cozy spot that doesn't need a plethora of space/seating. Nice and simple to provide a comfortable nook to eat and relax with the family. We have traveled throughout this world and indulged in some truly wonderful dishes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone looking for amazing food. It's filling, and extremely healthy! You shall definitely see us again! Thank you so much for the pleasant experience in a world full of a detrimentally fast-paced society. Life is much more pleasant when one decides to slow down a bit. It's nice to ease back and relax with the calm setting. Top-notch! Extraordinarily magnifica!

Andaluz has some wonderfully delicious vegan food! I arrived at the location, and the food truck was operating out of a temporary trailer without a sign. I learned that they are in between locations, moving into another brick & mortar in a couple of weeks. I ordered the burrito with chicharron, along with chips and queso, and my mom ordered the street tacos with chicharron. All of the food was wonderful! Fresh and seasoned well. Even my omnivorous mother approved of her tacos! The salsas were SO GOOD, especially the spicy green one that came with my burrito. The queso tasted like a whole foods plant based queso and was very tasty. I'd love to try more menu items next time I am in the area. The gentleman who prepared my food was super nice, as was the woman to brought the food out to me. Very kind staff!

The best vegan spot ! Tacos were amazing had so many vegan protein options. The service was phenomenal definitely a place to go to for your next vegan meal.

Food here was absolutely amazing my boyfriend and I came here for dinner one day; I got the best plate of enchiladas I've ever had in my life and he got vegan barbacoa nachos which were also absolutely fantastic. The employees were very kind to us and I felt very welcomed. There's something about that authentic Mexican touch that makes the experience that much better. Definitely going to be coming back

So many choices!! What a treat to find a vegan restaurant on the north side of Houston. Delicious Mexican food served in a family atmosphere. We will be back soon!

We came here and we're really excited for the vegan proteins because they have a TON of options. I wish we had eaten there, but it was warm inside and I have 3 kids, so I don't think that would have gone well. It's located inside a grocery store and everybody that works there is really nice. Definitely feels like a hole-in-the-wall, which is never a bad thing to me. The guy who too our order was very patient, kind, and happy to explain things. That being said, we got our food to go and ate after driving for 50 minutes to get home so I'm sure we did not experience the full potential here. Elotes - Texas corn is a hard one for me. It's small, not very juicy, and dry. I'm from Utah and severely miss Utah corn. As they serve it on the cob, I found it lacking flavor. Definitely not on the restaurant on this one but I'd recommend using frozen corn over Texas corn. Street tacos - my husband got a five pack and my toddlers each got one with their asada. Toddlers are picky so their opinion on this one doesn't matter but one of them loved the onions. My husband really enjoyed them a lot too and wants to go back for more. Enchiladas - my son and I shared an order of red enchiladas and an order of green enchiladas. This is where I think it's really unfair to review the food after a long drive. It was very dry. The green wasn't super flavorful but alright. The red was amazing, even after being in the car for almost an hour. I'm really not a fan of proteins in my enchiladas (I usually like cheese only) but the chicken was good! Rice and beans - My toddlers usually really love rice and beans but these were just okay. One of them ate a ton of the rice though and really loved them. It was good but I'm not sure I would seek it out again. I love the idea but the execution needs more space and maybe a comfortable storefront.

Andaluz Vegan's new restaurant space is amazing! We ordered flautas, quesadillas, and despite the soft opening limited menu, they made a potato and egg plate with delicious flour tortillas for my mom. The food was fantastic, portions generous, and the sopapillas to go were the perfect finish. Green salsa...SPICY. We used to go to Cascabel but the drive sometimes wasn't worth it. I'll be back for breakfast for sure. Friendly service and authentic taste--definitely worth a visit!

AMAZING!!! I ordered the 5 taco plate with rice and beans. The tacos had so much flavor. Who knew hibiscus leaves could taste so good??? Customer Service Was Superb! Impressive!

The food was amazing and our waitress was very friendly. Our meals were made from scratch and once it arrived on our table it smelled great ant taste wonderful. The only downside is that it is a small restaurant and sittings are limited.

Recommend? Yes. It's located inside of a supermarket. You would never suspect that this little place would have the absolute best vegan tacos and it's not any of that modern or "influenced" stuff. It has all the aspects of food truck tacos that I just love so much. I got the desebrada flautas, 3 tacos, and a side of the refried beans and Spanish rice. My choices of protein for the tacos were alpastor, fajita, and chicharron. The flautas had a little crunch to them and the hibiscus had a nice texture as well. Of the 3 tacos I liked the chicharron the least. The alpastor was my favorite and the fajita was good as well. I loved that they seasoned the food. Some places makes vegan tacos and forgets all the seasonings. The protein also has a nice char to it as well.

I am impressed with how good this food taste. I got the nachos with jackfruit and mushrooms. The flavor was flavoring! There were 2 people in line behind me and I overheard that all of the options are 10/10. The place is located in a grocery store and it just reminded me of my hometown in LA. It was a little hot to eat inside so I took the food to go.

So glad to be introduced to this little vegan food spot. We are newly vegan/vegetarian starters, so we are still learning and this place satisfied our usual cravings of street tacos/authentic Mexican food. Food were packed with amazing flavors, from the vegan proteins to their salsas!! Green salsa was our favorite with such great flavor, but the red salsa came with the spicy kick so we pour both onto our food. The place is not a fancy restaurant setting, but most of the best food came from a hole in a wall. The drive was 40 minutes away, but the taste of the food was so worth the drive and definitely will be back to try more!! Keep up the great work, we appreciate the creativity of the vegan food.

This place is now "THE vegan place" they have the best street tacos, the chicharrón ones are my favorite so far, al pastor with pineapple are so good too!!! the corn is so fresh, the garbanzos are tasty, I'm in love with this place. My parents aren't vegan and I took them there today, they loved it!!!!

Everything is 10/10 the people who work here are very kind! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming Hidden gem located in a little grocery store! Deserves more recognition!! Food is fresh and cooked on the spot, will be coming back

This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is definitely an unexpected gem. If you're going vegan but craving street tacos, this will definitely hit the spot. They're very flavorful and reasonable priced! My favorites were the chicharron and fajita, though I enjoyed the al pastor and chorizo too. I dare say these are the best vegan tacos I've tried in Houston. As good as the food was, I have to lower my rating because of the service. While the employees seemed nice, it took nearly an hour for us to get 2 taco plates to go. Hopefully they will redeem themselves the next time we come :)

This is an awesome food truck that provides excellent service. Some of the prices online don't match the ones in person so it's better to call in an order. The hotdogs and fries were so good! I can't wait to try more items

Andaluz was definitely different from its presentation online. You walk into the supermarket knowing you're going to get some fresh authentic food. The people are very kind & will make you feel very much at home. I will admit that I believe it was more expensive than I anticipated, especially for it being located in the supermarket. I spent 25$ Guacamole & Chips - 8$ Mango Aqua Fresca $3.50 Mushroom Quesadilla $12

Best vegan nachos I have ever had! The soy pollo packs so much flavor, and I look forward to trying more. They recently increased their prices, but it is still fair compared to other placed. Their quesadillas are also delicious if that is more of your thing. They are located outside of the market now with a new menu!

I had very high hopes for this place since the reviews were raving about how delicious this vegan taco place is. First off.. it's very easy to miss if you are not a local in the area. It's located in a grocery store but there's not really a sign so keep your eyes peeled! Onto the food.. The rice and beans were just that. I did not expect too much from it but the taco meat... was alright. It's not something that I would drive or ever crave but I could eat it. They did give a lot of meat so that's a plus!

This place is a hidden gem as it is located inside a Celaya Meatmarket. When I arrived there were no customers and it seems there's only two workers. I ordered the sopes plate and a plate of 5 tacos. I tried a couple of different meats, but I highly recommend the hibiscus! It was the best meat and I wished I would have just ordered that meat for all of the tacos. The sopes fell apart when trying to eat them, they were okay, but I would go for the tacos hands down. The workers are really nice also. The only thing is I would be considerate of it taking some time to recieve your food. Although there was no one there when I arrived it did take about 15-20 minutes to get my food, but overall it was a great experience. I will be back when I need my fix!!

Excellent Mexican Vegan food to the rescue! We had the incredible opportunity to enjoy Andaluz delicious food at the Vegan State Fair. We had the Al Pastor tacos, great price, quantity & freshness! COVID Notes -Social distance & masks required. -Customer service was delightful, safe, and helpful -Ordering was effortless & smooth -No issues at all. Amazing vegan tacos! The pollo (soy) & fajita (mushroom) were my favorite! Definitely will be coming back for more! They owner said they be opening a food truck in the parking lot with in the next week or so & will no longer be with in the grocery store.

The food Is delicious but the service is painfully slow. I have ordered on door dash and waited 2 hours for food. Today I ordered 90 min ago and the food isn't ready yet. I just called and they said they "just got busy " and aren't done yet. I ordered at 530pm on a Wednesday night and it's 6:57pm now! and they aren't done yet! I don't understand how it takes so long to make tacos and nachos!! It's ridiculous. I crave the taste of the food but I don't think I can deal with the wait anymore. My kids and I are so hungry!! Food 5 star Service 1 star UPDATE: Now that I've eaten, I've got to say that the food is so yummy that I definitely will still order from them. But now I'm just going to give a two hour buffer before I actually want to eat when I place an order. I'm also going to see if they are faster if you eat at the restaurant. Maybe they just prioritize in person people over deliveries. ‍

I found a spaghetti noodle in my chicken salad and the waiter said he put it there for me and winked like what the sigma?!

I saw a shout out on Houston Vegan FB page! Had to go try it!! Well let me tell you it was delicious! I got all the tacos except the mushroom and barracuda. We liked them all but our favorite is the Chicharron and Al Pastor. The green hot sauce to excellent. I didn't try the red one. The cooks were awesome and had excellent customer service We had a berry drink and it was tasty also! It's in the parking lot of a shopping center to the right. Parking is good and it has some covered outside seating.

Tucked in the shopping center, don't miss it! Okay so I've been meaning to come here for a while now, let me just say, my only regret is not coming sooner. My friend and i stopped by today for lunch, parking was excellent, we had such a great meal with two drinks for such an affordable price, the food was pretty close to authentic Mexican food. 100% vegan! most of the plate options were gluten free as well. The horchatas were delicious, lots of taco options, with great protein subs, and the service was 10/10. I will definitely be back! Check it out!! Todo estuvo súper rico! Mi nuevo lugar favorito!

Amazing Mexican Vegan food! Usually one great cook here who takes the orders also so I call my order in about 10-15 minutes before getting there. I believe they do a lot of to go orders, only a couple tables inside the little market. Definitely recommend!

Love this quaint spot tucked away inside the market. Great authentic vegan menu. I had the alpastor and chicharron street taco plate and it immediately made me want to go back for more. Love that there is a vegan authentic mexican spot in this area. Much needed.

BEST VEGAN TACOS!! Some of the Best Tacos I've ever had and I'm not vegan. Great service! You can tell it's made with love. The mushroom ones are my favorite!

Update: was able to try all of the tamales, only enjoyed the mushroom "adobo" and strawberry "fresa" The others did not have much flavor. The rajas con queso, only flavor was the jalapeño and couldn't taste much else with the queso or masa. Soycadillo was the same, the soy was cooked into the masa and was very bland. Also the meat in our to go meals was oddly very salty. I will try again because I want to support local vegan establishments but overall I spent $120 on the to go meals and 3 doz tamales with tip.

Hands down best 100% VEGAN Mexican restaurant in Houston I know of. The food was fresh and delicious. The flavors did not disappoint in the enchiladas. The tacos were different and intresting I enjoyed them. The server was very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere is very casual. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I ordered the gorditas and they were amazing the salsa was amazing and the "meat" (al pastor) was so delicious and brought me back to my childhood.
