Andaman Bangtao Bay Resort

The room was very large with two big beds ... really a bargain for 2,150 Baht per night. The hotel is close to the beach and some decent restaurants. I did not try the breakfast or coffee offered but when out to a coffee shop. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The beds were pretty comfy and the big fridge worked well. There were two small ice cube trays provided which is always a plus. The room and its balcony faced the street rather than the interior space of the hotel (with its pool). So, it was a rather noisy room with all the life and activity that went on out there into the night. Next time I'd request a quiet room. The bathroom required a little bit of maintenance with its faucets. I was encouraged to use the safe which I did, however, I noticed it wasn't bolted into the wall behind it, so someone could have easily walked off with it. The room key was attached to the card that one had to insert to get the power in the room going... don't care for that, because not running the A/C most of the time quickly makes the room unbearable. But, there was a way around that :)

Very good value for the money. The rooms are spacious and since the hotel is small, the distance to the pool, the restaurant and the beach is very short. The beach was amazing and very kid friendly. The only thing bringing the value slightly down is the breakfast, which could be improved. The only bread was white toast and the vegetarian options were limited.

If you want the best massage of your life be sure to book with Soup. He has the most instinctive and intuitive hands . And is such a lovely person . I wish I could have stayed longer just to have more treatments The smell from drains is overpowering at times Staff all very friendly Delicious omelette at breakfast and fresh fruit Rooms and grounds a little tired . Would benefit from some updating and investment . There was building work going on whilst we were there so maybe improvements are being made Location perfect .. right by the beach and in a quiet part of the bay . Found some very smart beach clubs on our stroll along the beach from the hotel

The whole resort is like a construction site , we came all the way from Kata beach based on photos on the website ; total disappointment. They should be honest and state they are renovating . No one wants to eat surrounded by workers banging and drilling .

Had a very pleasant stay here. Friendly & warm staff willing to help. Fantastic & peaceful location and a not-so-touristy beach :) Decent food & drinks at the resort as well as nearby. Would be great if they upgraded their menu / kept the restaurant running properly for dinner. One night they lights were completely off & appeared like the restaurant was already shut & staff had left for the day by 7pm - and we had to get dinner in places nearby.

We only looked here... We walked on the beach, and saw this little paradise with beautiful authentic bungalows and the beautiful garden. especially the long flower and plant garden and the location would make me stay here...

Fantastic little beach hotel! It's a bit like staying in someone's outhouse. Very cozy feeling. Amazing location right on the beach. Lunch is quite good, but breakfast could be better. There is no room service but... There is a fantastic restaurant called The Beach Cuisine next door that will deliver. The management are really friendly and helpful. Parking is not that easy if you have a car. Great facilities - shops massage restaurants - as soon as you walk out of the hotel.
