So glad we came across this life saving restaurant, great service and delicious food, the appetizer sampler is amazing and a definite try, we made a couple of requests and they were very accommodating, their window side tables have a beautiful view of the mount Sashta.

This place is a gem! The ingredients are fresh, and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly kind and makes the whole experience even better. If you’re craving authentic and tasty Thai food with top-notch service, look no further! Hands down the best food in town.

Google
The food here is PHENOMENAL. Full stop. Everyone at our table was overjoyed with their food. Some of the best Thai food I've had in a while

Google
I came here with my young daughter and the staff were very friendly. They had no issue with us looking at a menu before sitting down, and the food (assorted appetizers and wonton soup) was good. There were a lot of things on the menu I haven't seen at other Thai places, which I'm guessing is because they list all the recipes they're good at.

Google
The service was great, staff nice. We did an order to go. The 3 stars overall is because of the curry and pad sew ew. The yellow curry was very liquidy and not thick at all, very watery. The pad sew ew noodles were very mushy. The taste was fine but considering this may be the most expensive Thai food I have ever gotten. That was a bit disappointing.

REPLY TO RESTAURANT COMMENT: Don’t mess us around! At the gate, you clearly said you only accept cash since the internet was down — we agreed and came in. Then you suddenly refused dine-in. Take-out is not an option for us, and this is completely unacceptable. We were visiting the area and looking forward to enjoying some Thai food. We arrived at 8:00 PM, well before their posted closing time of 8:30 PM. Initially, we were allowed to enter, but then were told they couldn’t serve us because they were ‘closing soon.’ Turning away customers half an hour before closing, especially after letting them in, shows a lack of professionalism and courtesy. If this attitude toward customers continues, it’s hard to see how the business will thrive. We hope they handle such situations more professionally in the future.

I wanted to try this place before my daughter's performance in the local children's theater--opening night. I had an hour and a half and was the first patron seated after they opened at 5. I never got to see or eat my meal, but asked the waitress to wrap it up to go so I could make the play. The large group that ordered after me DID get their food. They had time to eat it. And as I left they called me a "stupid American". For supporting the arts and an 11 year old. For letting the waitress know I had a play to make. I didn't even get a fork in my to go bag. I am local- trust me, there are better places to eat.

Google
Seemed like a decent place but the restaurant management is not honest with the customers. Told us to wait 40 minutes and after 30 minutes they said we need another 40 minutes. When we said we have already been waiting for so long, they started denying that we have been waiting for so long. Average food for the prices, go at your own risk and if you can wait for hours even for appetizers.

Yelp
Wonton soup was amazing! Expecally since I was feeling under the weather. The service was fast and the staff was so friendly!

Yelp
My favorite Asian food in the area!!! Full transparency - I used to work here for a number of years so I am biased, but I truly love Andaman. The owners are the sweetest people you will meet, the food is incredibly flavorful and made with so much care & the best ingredients, and they tend to hire/ mentor young staff which I appreciate as someone who struggled to find well paying work in Mt. Shasta. I moved away 8 years ago, but I still come back each time I visit home and it hits EVERY time. These pictures are from my last takeout order, but my favorite dishes here are their pad se ew, papaya salad, yum salad, red and Panang curries (though they're all good), honey duck, and garlic peppercorn beef. Some people complain about the wait time, but that is because everything is prepared fresh and they sometimes have limited staff - don't expect your food instantly, but instead plan for a nice sit down meal and enjoy the cozy dining space (or get takeout with their new system that texts you when your order is ready!). TLDR: their food rocks and is authentic to the Andaman Islands region of Thailand, the owners are the BEST and they treat their employees really well, you will want to try as many dishes as possible (tip: they mean business with spice and don't sleep on their Thai iced tea).

Yelp
We were looking for a spot to grab dinner after a long drive from Yosemite and a flat tire. This place was within walking distance of our hotel and had a pretty big menu with all my thai favorites. We got there early enough on a Saturday evening that we didn't have to wait and were seated immediately. The dining room has lots of tables, all pretty close together so we were definitely overhearing some interesting conversation. Service was friendly. Sake came out in a wine glass. Oversized summer rolls were a little messy, dipping sauces just ok. Really enjoyed the Pad Kee Mow and Panang Curry - lots of fresh veggies always make me happy. Medium spice level was nice. Bathroom in back by kitchen. Street parking available out front.

Yelp
Really good Thai food especially for a mountain town. The curries are excellent and served in large bowl-sized portions. And, they are happy to make pretty much anything on the menu vegan or vegetarian. We found the spring roles to be a bit too greasy for our taste and will get the salad roles next time. Service was on the slow side but that was ok.

Yelp
VEG food!!!! Since the locality of mt. Shasta has limited food options this was one of the places that we visited. Food - We ordered yellow curry and Sticky Rice and chilled ice tea. The food was good but the potion was very small for the price we paid. This makes this restaurant pretty expensive. Service - We were 2 of us and had been here for the memorial weekend. Hence the service was extremely very slow. The 2 items that we ordered took more than an hour to come and we were starving after a long day:( which made the waiting even more difficult. They are clearly understaffed.(just 2 people) Ambience - it was nice and cozy. We could see #Shasta right from our table. Price - it's kinda expensive. Tip - if you like masala chai (the Indian one) then you must go for the iced tea, no second thoughts on it. I personally didn't like fried tofu here and preferred the fresh one. Happy dining #Siri

Yelp
So over the past year we have eaten here a lot. The other night ordered take out first time, usually eat in. I ordered mild yellow curry. When I opened the bag said mild-med. It was so hot I couldn't eat it. The receipt said mild. My husband was kind enough to drive back. When he got there they said would t make it over just add coconut milk. They said it was mild the girl just wrote it wrong. Well it was very hot and I have never heard of a business not making it right. So this was last time for me to eat there.

Yelp
Spring rolls are super good as well as the orange chicken The prices are definitely on the higher side but food quality is worth it at least
google avatar

Spock S.

Yelp
We came here for soup, we ordered the soup salmon delight, don't order the salmon it was so dry, it seems like one person running the whole restaurant. Spring rolls looked liked they had been fried twice and were really grease. Ambiance was fine. Would not recommend to go here

Yelp
So good. So fresh. So flavorful! We have been missing green things on our road trip and stopped here on a whim. Spice level is real and they have very friendly staff that worked with smile even though they were slammed by the post skiing rush. Will come back if we're ever in town again!

Yelp
While I was in Mount Shasta I wanted to check out a local Thai restaurant. I did the mistake of not reading reviews prior going here. I was really impressed by the extensive Thai menu and the fact that they can do "Thai style spicy" which is rare. The dishes are on the expensive side for an a-okay typical Thai food. The wait was just too long. I'm not sure why but I'm guessing they only have one cook in the back. I ordered the papaya salad, tom yum soup and flat noodle stir fry. I was served the salad first after about 15 min wait. Then another 15-30 min wait before the soup came. By that time I asked for my noodles to go. I did not order any drinks except water. The 3 dishes came to about $60 for one person. Based on what I saw the owner is a Thai lady who greeted other customers and chatted with them. Somehow I felt like I wasn't looked after. And it wasn't even that busy with only 3 tables they were servicing. I'm hoping this was just an isolated experience. Although I'm not certain that I will be coming back here next time I'm in the area. Parking was easy right outside on the street.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was atrocious unfortunately. The young gals working there were really struggling with the basics. We wait led 47 minutes for an appetizer. People next to us waited 15 minutes for Pepsi. We were starving so it was unfortunate. The restaurant wasn't even full but they seemed to have no help. It's really hard in these post covid times. This is a knock out menu and great Thai cooking but they need to work on the service BIGTIME! I can't imagine the revenue and great reviews they are missing out on because of the service. I wish you all the best of luck, we were in town after a camping trip and really enjoyed our dinner.

Yelp
Food was great. Waited 1.5 hours for our food to arrive :( would be great if they staffed appropriately.
google avatar

Stephany P.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! The owner is very nice and the staff friendly. The Yellow Curry is outstanding along with the Pho, Pad Lad Na, Basil Fried Rice, and Pad Kee Mao to name a few. The restaurant is usually busy for dinner, especially on weekends and around holidays so expect a wait unless you get there close to opening. It's totally worth it though. The portions are good sized and ingredients fresh. This is one of the tastiest places in town.

Neha G.

Yelp
Pathetic service, insensitive and arrogant owner/chef, below average food. Dirty plates, total waste of money. I don't recommend anyone to go to this place.

Yelp
Went here after a ski and loved it so much we went back the next week. Definitely a healthier Thai food and less greasy. Love it

Yelp
Best Thai food in Siskiyou County!! Hands down. Quality ingredients and friendly staff. Their Tom-Yum never fails to satisfy my needs. I highly recommend this place before any other Thai food in Siskiyou County

Yelp
Kind polite attentive servers, and GREAT FOOD! Had the green curry with tofu, vegan Thai iced tea . Made to order and super fresh vegetables!

Yelp
This place was a delight! Very fresh ingredients and everything was cooked perfectly. Veggies were crisp, meats and seafood were just the right texture and the Seafood Dumplings were amazing. The shrimp were peeled beautifully, leaving just the tails tips rather than the whole segment before the tail. We were there for lunch and the portion sizes were perfect. The menu said 8 seafood dumplings and it was actually 5, but that was disclosed at the time of order. They are careful to make sure you know what you are getting, including the spice level. Their scale is Thai Hot, Hot, Medium, and Mild. I asked for Medium and was questioned appropriately. The spice level was perfect. My daughter actually ate all of her vegetables. All four of us unanimously declared the food perfect. It's a family run place and that is obvious from the start. Our water and menus were provided by the youngest new trainee in the family. He did a wonderful job. He was polite and knew his own limitations within his current growing skill set. He is still getting the hang of pouring when ice is involved but was careful to do so away from patrons and cleaned up all spills quickly. He also went and asked for assistance when his current ability level was outstripped. Where he really shone was with placement of straws in glasses. He knew just how to break the wrapper while extending the bendy bit and leaving the top of the wrapper in place for cleanliness. The rest of the service was also very good. We were checked on frequently and with a smile. Thai Coffee and Thai Tea are readily prepared with coconut milk instead of half and half upon request. Customers are encouraged to notify them of any allergies or dietary requirements. If you're in a hurry, particularly at lunch time, call and order by 10:30 am (before they open) so that your food can be ready on your arrival. Really the only negative thing in our visit was that the facility could use a bit of a remodel. The carpets have darkened with age and the bathroom floor had that tacky feeling under your shoes that comes when they've been cleaned too many times with perhaps the wrong chemicals. There is a bit of a rust issue in the bathroom too, including on the accessibility grab bar. The food and service were so good that I can't in good conscience detract a star for t We would happily return! My girls wish that this establishment was in our town so we could patronize them regularly. #gluten-free #allergy friendly #dairy-free #vegan #vegetarian

Yelp
I avoided this place online but the other restaurants were busy so we ended up here. I didn't recognize the name, and having two kids that needed to be fed, we walked in and we're greeted by the lady that everyone's hating on. Firstly, she saw our kids and warned us that they were super busy with takeout orders and walk ins and she was worried that she wouldn't be able to get the food out before the kids erupted. I appreciate that and asked her was there anything that we could get quickly to satisfy the kids. She let us know that appetizers were quickest. We got some apps for the kids and she was kind enough to grab a bowl of rice for the kids to hold them over. The food: 4.5 stars. Good flavors and fresh veggies. Meat in the basil fried rice was a little dry. If they had used mince pork I think it would've been better. Chicken satays were really good. So were the fried spring rolls and wontons. Overall good food and worth eating at. I had to return to grab some more food that I ordered later and she gave me a call to let me know it was ready. I think yes you're all right. She can be short and the food takes a little while. But I feel like she's trying really hard to do a good job. She operates in a holiday season run business and it's probably tough to find stable and reliable employees. And the economy isn't doing any favors. So for all of those reasons, she deserves 5 stars. She's pretty good on all fronts despite no help from you impatient mfkrs.

Yelp
Absolutely overpriced, pho broth is just water...............................................................thx...................................................

Venkatesh K.

Yelp
Food is delicious but service is below average. Understaffed. Overpriced. We were travelling and found this place. Initially we're told it will take 45-50 min but food came in 29 min. People in next table waited for long time and were seem disappointed.
google avatar

Soo L.

Yelp
I ordered chicken basil fried rice and pad kee mao noodle. It was terrible taste in my life. It seems this place has no competition in small town. So they can do the business with level of taste. I am not picky eater but finally I couldn't finish them and trashed. If you are traveler from big city. Please try avoid this place and try local cuisine.

Melanie C.

Yelp
Grouchy, out of touch with me from the moment I entered... even getting lectured about time and the fact we were on a schedule being somehow inappropriate? Won't be heading back there. Having lived in Thailand for 6 years, the lack of graciousness, the stain of American entitlement and the sure way that infects the food will keep me from going back.

Ssk S.

Yelp
The Tom Kha soup was amazing--highly recommend adding prawns! I drank every last drop of the coconut broth. The Sizzling Seafood (mild to medium spice) was also incredible. This restaurant is a must!

Yelp
We(my family of 4) walked in because it was recommended to us by our hotel. Our 6 year old daughter has pretty severe and extensive allergies, so we always carry her meal with us, and we have never had a problem with any restaurant letting her eat that while we order from the restaurant. The hostess here refused to let her eat what we brought for her and we had to walk out. She offered to cook her something but since she is very sensitive, we do not order for her from restaurants that aren't exclusively gluten free. We told her that and she politely refused to serve us. This was a first for us and pretty disappointed that they wouldn't let a child eat despite being very clear that her allergies are severe and cross contamination is a very real scenario in her case.

Yelp
Really good! I was pleasantly surprised!! The Thai sauce is $2.50 (so worth it) really enhanced the flavor of the chow mein. I got veggie, husband got chicken. Tried a slice of chicken & it had a good flavor. Overpriced in my opinion...$17‍ Only other thing you can get though if you're a local. I'll be going back occasionally..

Soujanya N.

Yelp
We loved the food. We placed order before our arrival as we were on road trip from glacier National Park. We took green curry, red curry ( we got complementary rice with both curry), basil fried rice, dim-sum and spring rolls. Everything was perfect.
google avatar

Verne U.

Yelp
Excellent fresh Thai food - the spring rolls were perfection! Service was great, and they had a lot of great menu options.
google avatar

Nitin K.

Yelp
Food is ok. But they were severely understaffed and we had to wait 1 hour to get our food and they lost our order after that somewhere. The management at this place is a mess.

Yelp
Marin and her family are amazing people. I was traveling from Oregon down to California and needed to pick up food along the way. They close at 8:30 on Friday and we called 7 minutes before they closed. If you ask they can accommodate any gluten free meals also (as long as it taste good! Is what Marin said or they won't serve it) she asked if we were driving and ended up letting us enjoy our food past closing while they cleaned the kitchen. All staff was super friendly and very sweet. Cute place with pretty pictures all over the place. Definitely recommend! See you all soon!

Yelp
Yellow Curry with Brown Rice (Veggie Glow Version) Thai Food Home Sweet Home to Warm my Heart in Mt. Shasta at Andaman Healthy Thai Cuisine. Full of Love and Fill my Stomach, Yummy . Surrounded myself with Rose Quartz, Black Obsidian, Selenite Wand from a nearby Crystal Shop, Soul Connections.

Yelp
Don't really understand the negativity, we had a lovely meal here. The Tom Kha was savory with a hint of sweet and the Panama Curry delicious. Staff was sweet and prompt, Definitley recommend!

Marysa R.

Yelp
My favorite place in Mt Shasta! Cute little spot, beautiful photography on the walls. Food is delicious and Merin (spelling is probably off) is so sweet and helpful. There's a bit of a wait on the food but the flavors make it worth it 100%. The yellow curry and orange chicken are sooo good . The fried rice is my favorite. This is our go-to spot
google avatar

Na N.

Yelp
First off this food really good my go to is the honey duck , crab wontons and springs rolls, not just a place to dip in real quick. Good food takes time and the cooks here really put the most into their food its a small place so it can easily get busy with takeout orders and service can be limited but it's not bad by any means. If you go I suggest you make a reservation and don't be in a rush. The place feels comfortable and cool for a chill date. I don't think you really want to bring kids most are too young to be patient and most likely won't appreciate the food. Price is reasonable but with kids not really.

Yelp
10/10 think this is the best Thai place in town. Unlike other restaurants in town, it doesn't have MSG and I am SO grateful for that cause I get ill with MSG. They are MSG-FREE and have the tastiest items. From super spicy to mild options which is perfect for both my husband and I and our toddler (who prefers no spice). The noodles are rich and flavorful and everything has a wonderful fresh taste. I would highly recommend it. The owner is incredibly nice and always puts her best foot forward. I appreciate them being in Mount Shasta SO MUCH! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! A++++++++++++

Yelp
I moved to the north state from Southern California 11/2 years ago. I live in the Reading area, and needless to say, the Thai food restaurants are just "OK". At the recommendation of some friends I stopped today at Andaman Thai and was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to saying that precious few of the restaurants I patronized are "good for the north state". I ordered the Penang curry with fried tofu-medium spicy (which I was advised was pretty spicy/hot). I love curry and I love real Thai spicy curry-this did not disappoint. It was spicy, full flavored and flavors of the vegetables/coconut milk were not overpowered by the spice. This wasn't just "good for the north state", it was really good-like for real! We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Wonderful cuisine! Expertly prepared and served! Super tasty. Order the curry or soups all good. Will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely do not recommend going here!!!! Extremely poor service!!!! Absolutely the worst pad Thai I have ever had!!!! Over an hour for absolutely foul food and service!!
google avatar

Mona L.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great pad Thai and green papaya salad. I love coming here. Great service and good portions and prices. I'm surprised this place isn't rated better. I hope that changes they deserve your business here. Takeout is easy, parking is on the street in front and eating in pre Covid it was nice inside seating but I have only done takeout since the pandemic. Will return!

Ankit A.

Yelp
Very long wait, 1 hour wait after ordering. Poor servicing. Sub par food. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone

Yelp
Great Thai Food ! We placed an order to go . The lady who took our phone order was very accommodating and took her time to explain the spice levels . She even went out of her way to find out if one of the dishes we wanted to order was gluten free. We ordered Chicken Pad Kee mow , red curry with veggies and fried banana . Each one of them tasted absolutely delicious . Great portion size too. Looking forward to having the leftovers tomorrow .
google avatar

Cigith P.

Yelp
We tried basil fried rice, panang curry with tofu and chicken satay. Satay was ok as the chicken was not fresh. Both rice and curry were good quantity wise. Panang curry was watery. Rice was the best. Restaurant was good with well managed space inside even though it is small.

Yelp
Wanted to give it 3 stars to support local but this place was so bad, I couldn't. Came here on a Sunday evening and ordered tom yum soup and papaya salad, medium spice. Both came out to $30, quite pricey but wanted something different other than burgers and pizza around here. We tried Thai foods at a nearby spot the other day and it was good, so wanted to give this spot the benefit of the doubt. However, the foods here were pretty bad taste wise, it gave me really bad stomach problems the whole night. My stomach can handle very spicy peppers, it only hurts when I eat something really bad. I was having problems all night and I knew something was off with the foods. I am part Thai and grew up eating mostlyThai/laos foods, tried foods from different styles and have been learning recipes from several Thai dishes. I cannot back up the foods I've had here. The papaya salad I ordered tasted not even remotely close to what it should tastes. It was sickeningly sweet and odd tasting. I've had different versions with papaya, cucumber, carrots, long green beans, etc that had a good blend of salty, sour, spicy and a little sweet. This one tasted like they melted sweet red chili sauce and vinegar together on top of the papaya/carrot/green bean combo. The cherry tomatoes are usually chopped up and mixed with the papaya salad but this one had whole tomatoes! Even whole peanuts! It's like they bs the dish and made it way too sweet for american pallette with no hints of fish/shrimp paste. I didn't taste any citrus sourness. The redeeming factor I'd give the dish is that medium spicy was pretty spicy. The tom yum soup was also pretty sweet. I usually add lime juice in mines after I turn off the heat, but I didn't taste any citrus sourness in this soup. The sweetness overpowered all the other flavors of the soup and I couldn't tell if it had any kaffir leaves, galangal, lemongrass and fish sauce. I did find tiny pieces of galanga and lemon grass at the bottom though. Again, the medium spice was pretty spicy, only good thing about the soup. I found weird chunks at the bottom of the soup like ends of green onions and a piece of broccoli? Did I just eat some leftover mash? Whatever I had, I got sick the entire night. I'm trying not to think the horrible possibilities of what I ate. For $30 I expected decent Thai foods but instead was left with way too sweet and odd tasting foods. The flavor profiles of the foods were way off with the sweet overpowering everything. Granted they speak Thai at the restaurant so it's made by Thai folks, but why would they bastardize the dishes so much? If you are into sweet, then you may like this place.

Em S.

Yelp
I enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants but this place is lacking in all the aspects. Poor service, taste and ambiance. The place looks super dingy, dark and old. I used the bathroom and is something growing above the sink! Mushrooms?!? There was only us and another table and it took forever to get service from the older hostess, she is a jabber jaw with the locals. 5-10 min long conversations. But didn't seem to care or talk too much with our table. Plates are out of the world expensive $17-20 per plate. We had the Pad Thai, too much sauce and oily. Pho wasn't good. Summer rolls had cabbage and bean curd noodles?!? Next time...it'll be a hard pass!

Yelp
After a few hours of hiking we were really hungry and decided to stop by Andaman Healthy Thai Cuisine to try it out. We are so glad we did! Not only was the service great, but the food was even better! We ordered red curry (medium spicy and it was hot), pad se ew, and chicken fried rice. Everything was extremely flavorful and the portions were very generous. I'm positive that one plate can fill anyone up and you'll still have some left over. Highly recommend this restaurant if you ever stop by the city of Mount Shasta!

Yelp
The food was delicious prompt hot fresh and great service took We will certainly be back
