Great stay at a modern hotel which was very close to the Byward Market. The area did have some questionable people hanging around but I never felt unsafe. I loved that the Byward Market was busy and bustling in the summer, it was a great patio scene and was only a 5 min walk away from the hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. We had a great view of parliament (fireworks view for Canada Day). The pillows are very soft - back sleepers beware. I personally prefer firmer pillows and it would have been nice to have the option. The restaurants in the hotel was surprisingly good. Count on spending a min of $20 for breakfast. Valet parking essentially was mandatory - it's $50 a day and they park a few blocks away from the actual hotel as they don't have underground parking or above ground parking. When you need your car, you need to give them 30min - 1 hour notice. As a result, I never used my car and just walked everywhere.

We had such a great stay at the Andaz Ottawa! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of downtown with stunning city views. The suite room was awesome, super spacious with 1.5 bathrooms which made things really convenient for our family. Big shoutout to Sophia and her amazing team, everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and professional. As Globalists, we really felt the warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was tasty and everything just felt smooth and easy. Honestly, we felt right at home here. Check out my 7 years review in the below picture. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Ottawa. We’ll definitely be back!

We were impressed by the efficient check-in process by Nathan. He allowed us to check in early, at about 1 pm. We were exhausted after a long flight & his welcoming customer service was absolutely praiseworthy. Thank you so much for making our trip memorable. The hotel is in amazing prime historic location, in walking distance to Parliament, Senate, Basilica, National Gallery & so on. Breakfast in Feast + Revel restaurant was a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Thank you for providing us with comfort during or stay at your beautiful hotel!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market. We went for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Angelo checked us in and immediately welcomed us with a smile and made special accommodations for our anniversary. (Thank you so much, Angelo!) Our room was fantastic with incredible views. Soon after we got settled in, there was a knock on the door. It was Angelo, who brought us treats and a lovely card. Needless to say, our stay got off to a lovely start. And the property overall was great - perfect location in the market, walkable to Parliament (and many other things), 16th floor lounge with stunning views, friendly and attentive staff, modern décor, great breakfasts in the main floor restaurant, and I could go on. It was a memorable stay, and we will happily return!

The hotel room was really big. The bed was very comfy and everything was very clean. We loved our stay and I would recommend this Hotel because it is in the heart of Ottawa and you can reach everything by foot! The construction didn‘t bother us.

Upon my arrival, Ryan greeted me at the front desk. I was mesmerized by the way he worked the room. It was busy during check-in, but Ryan had a way to greet and communicate with all the guests while we were waiting to be attended to. Nowadays, it is almost impossible for someone to have such strong emotional intelligence. My stay was terrific. My room was impeccable, and the lounge was incredible. I will be back here when I return to Ottawa. Thanks for the great memories .

Google
Room was comfy, functional and had classy decor/lighting. The rooftop bar has a great atmosphere, especially on the Sunday DJ night. The gym is decently equipped and has towels, free bottled water and a nice view (attached a video because I couldn't find any good pictures of the equipment)

Google
Wonderful hotel. Very clean, staff is super friendly, parking is not onsite, but there is a parkade a block and half away. Not overly expensive. We left our car there for 3 days and 2 nights and it was only $38. My only complaint about the hotel is the pillows, we had a king room with standard pillows on the bed, the pillows look fluffy until you touch them…then that are flat. They need more filling, and king size pillows for a king size bed. Otherwise I would have gave 5/5 for every category.

Yelp
My stay was good overall - the hotel is pretty modern and has nice rooms and amenities you'd expect. It is conveniently located a few mins away from Parliament Hill and the Royal Museum of Art. At the same time, it is in the Byward market district which is... kinda sketch. My room was clean and spacious - it is rare to see a walk-in closet in a normal room and free snacks (not just water). There's also a rooftop lounge / bar up top with amazing views of the city. Besides the location, my room could use a bit of maintenance in the bathroom (hard to adjust hot water, toilet making a weird noise while filling up, and power outlets being flimsy). However, the room was clean and relatively quiet. I liked their restaurant / breakfast options and friendly staff. Never had an issue. Overall, good value for the money with a bit of room for improvement. Overall, good value for

Yelp
Front desk doesn't answer the phone if you call from the room but they answer most of the time if you call on the phone. Which I think is ridiculous. We had stains on our couch and cracks on the vinyl plank floors. This was supposed to be a luxury suite that I spent a lot extra to get, and I just felt like it was low quality and unappealing. This didn't seem like a high quality room to me, how can you have those nasty stains on the couch like that it just makes the guest feel unclean in the room.

Yelp
We had an awesome experience at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market. This location is right in the heart of the action, a two minute walk to byward Market 1015 minutes to Parliament buildings. There are lots of great restaurant options in the area also. As mentioned in prior posts, there are significant homeless issues on the west side of the city block. But the east side seems to be complete normal for Ottawa. Service was so friendly. The breakfast was awesome, the rooms were pretty nice and have excellent views of the city. There is a great rooftop lounge with great city views also. For those requiring parking, there is a city parking garage that is covered and half the price of the Andaz, just one street east of the hotel, very convenient. Just ask the front desk and they'll tell you the address. I'll definitely come back to this location the next time I'm in Ottawa!

Yelp
My family and I stayed at the Andaz Ottawa on June 25, 2024. We utilized the valet, as the only other parking alternatives were public facilities. Since there was an altercation right outside of the lobby while we were checking in, right where the car was parked temporarily, we felt like there was not another option. We parked with valet. We checked out of the hotel the next day and after a quick visual for damages, we drove off. After driving about an hour, we stopped for gas and it was then where we observed that the rear bumper diffusor with faux exhaust tips and skid plate had sustained some damage. Furthermore, after taking our vehicle in to the auto collision shop for an assessment and an estimate for repairs, the appraiser had informed me that someone had recently attempted to use silicone to reattach the right exhaust. He mentioned that if the silicone were not present, the entire piece would have fallen off on its own. Andaz responded to our complaints, explained their procedures to us, noting that it was followed, and considers this matter closed. We find this completely unsatisfactory and will never stay at another Andaz, nor Hyatt property again. We advised our friends and family the same.

Yelp
Solid place in Ottawa Not your typical andaz experience so take it with a grain a salt. Compared to the hotels in the area it's a 4 out of 5. Compared to other Andaz hotels it's a 3 out of 5. Rooms are clean Kind of ikea -ish so that's good or bad depending on your view of IKEA. Bed was very comfortable Lobby is nice but very small and small bar. So not a real desirable hang out place but it's like an afterthought Staff is very friendly and hardworking Good place to stay in town for sure

Yelp
I wanna start off by saying that the view is absolutely breathtaking. They really have the prime location. Everything is very close from this location and you can see all of Ottawa downtown. This is not a review for the hotel rooms but the restaurant on the last floor. I want to specifie this because I heard that there is a restaurant on the first floor. I would not called this a restaurant but more a quick drink area. We have made reservations for a group of 30 people. I would absolutely not recommend for food. This is the perfect spot for a drink to enjoy the view. Great first date! We started by ordering charcuterie board. Three small pieces of cheese 3 slice of meat. We ordered one for every table. Lots of bread for the amount of cheese. There was also some random blueberries and strawberries... we ordered thinking that four people could share it as an appetizer... absolutely not! There was nothing wrong with the meat or the cheeses they tasted amazing. I just don't think the quantities for the Price, are justified. we followed by ordering artichoke dip, Caesar salad, beef Tartare. That should be enough for two people right? Wrong again the tartare was serve in different plates from a person to another. The size was different from one to another. The tartare was about four bites. I forgot to take a picture of the Caesar salad It was three slice of romaine lettuce with some 2 thin croutons and a little parmesan. The artichoke dip was red and tasted nothing like it should've. I would've given zero stars for the food. I felt absolutely ripped off and hungry not a good mix. However the view is very worth it and I believe that if you just come to enjoy a drink it can be a beautiful experience.

Yelp
Overall a nice hotel. The service is subpar and be aware of booking there until the construction is completed. I booked a king room with a view. My view was of a construction site that started early each morning. They refused any discount. I also got charged for dining that I did not approve and should not have been charged to my room and the hotel has been unresponsive in refunding my card for dining I did not charge to my room. Also note, blackout curtains are not a thing and the AC cannot handle the heat, so you will not sleep comfortably here.

Yelp
Pretty nice hotel! I went as a family on a visit to Canada a little while ago, and it was a very new and nice hotel. The features were quite modern and they had a rainfall showerhead that I really liked. The soap they provide is from an expensive brand. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are good. The gym was unfortunately closed during my stay so I can't comment on that. We had no issues during our stay and if we go to Ottawa again we will return. The toilet has a interesting flushing system.

Yelp
Stayed here with the hubby recently and also in the past the service never disappoints If you're looking for a 4 Star hotel with an amazing downtown view of Ottawa and Parliament Hill this is perhaps the best place to stay at. It's in prime downtown Ottawa location almost everything is close by and in walking distance. Super convenient and in my opinion it's a definite 4.5 star experience for me! We decided to treat ourselves as we work very hard so we wanted to take a road trip to Ottawa and spend the weekend here. We normally stay near the airport as we don't very much like crowds but this time it was a treat and we could not pass up this place. The hotel lobby is elegant and appealing. Valet service is not included and poses an extra charge however it is super convenient to have the service as you just want to get rid of your car and come in to your clean and tidy room waiting for you The service: Super friendly and genuine. They made sure to bring our luggage for us to the room kudos to the bellboy and check in staff very sweeet and kind. Room service was great and definitely happy about it. Lots of amenities I didn't quite have time to use!! The only CON is it get very loud and disturbing on Saturday as we're in prime dowtown location near the Bywward market so at around midnight-4am it's very very loud and you can hear everything that's going on at night and the surrounding bars & nightclubs. You would think they'd have sound proof walls for such a high end hotel at this caliber. Nonetheless, it was quite nice and will keep in mind not to book this place during the weekend. Will definitely come back during the week perhaps if necessary. It's sweet but also a tad pricey. Avoid saturday's it's very hard to sleep they even give you ear pieces but they don't stay in your ears throughout the night. Cheers

Yelp
We researched top hotels in Ottawa because we wanted a premium experience, but Hotel Andez failed to deliver. Despite paying $300 per night, the water pressure in the shower was abysmal, making it difficult to even rinse off properly. When I reported the issue to the hotel staff, they were unhelpful. They sent a maintenance worker who couldn't fix the problem and then they directed me to the manager, "Mr. G," to see what could be done, as there were no other available king rooms. Mr. G pretended to want to help but ultimately did nothing, wasting my time in the process. The best he could offer was a slightly later checkout, which is a common courtesy at most hotels. He made no real effort to resolve the problem, other than offer to send another guy in the morning and spew a bunch of rehearsed cooperate gibberish to buy time and appear helpful. If you enjoy overpaying for low quality, none existent service, poor valet experience ( have to park your own car after midnight), this hotel should be high on your list!

Yelp
After seeing great reviews, I decided to book my 5 night stay in Ottawa here. The location near ByWard Market is nice and the staff are friendly, but it stops there. I was given one of the worst rooms of the hotel (low floor and right next to the elevator), and told there was absolutely no possibility for me to change rooms even after a night or two. Doesn't seem like the best way to treat a multi-night guest. To add insult to injury, I just came back to my room to find a note stating that they regretted to inform me that my room wasn't cleaned due to a staffing shortage. I understand that these issues may arise (particularly during the post-pandemic service industry boom), but there should be a little perk to compensate (e.g., complementary breakfast, some little chocolates in the room, a rate reduction, something!). In sum, I'm not sure what the hype is about this hotel and am disappointed that I am stuck here for four mor nights (as other options are now fully booked). Will look elsewhere on my next trip to Ottawa.

Yelp
Best location in the center of the market! Room's clean. Staff are nice! One thing that bothers me is we came back from the market after drinking probably around 2am. And there were a few young people wandering around outside the hotel gate n trying to get in, but they certainly didn't live there. As they didn't have keys to open the front door. Made my friend from Vancouver thought Ottawa downtown didn't seem so safe. At least manage one or two male staff stay at the front door is better than leaving only one female young lady work during the night shift. That's not it. When we arrived our room, there two young people sitting on the hallway chatting in front of our room. They didn't seem have a room either, but how did they get in? They probably like to enter inside bus it's cozy and warm, quiet, better than being outside. They stayed at least up to two hours before I fell asleep, they were still there. Which means, the security didn't pay much attention on CCTV either. I hope this review will ring a bell to hotel managers and fix these problems.

Michael S.

Yelp
DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE A VEHICLE! There is no place to put your vehicle when you get here. You must manage your own transportation TO and FROM this hotel. Again, they DO NOT have parking here. No shortage of homeless people nodding off on their drug induced states. One barked like an animal at my kid as we walked up to the lobby. Nobody there was happy about this place and I'm personally confused as to how they received 4 stars. I doubt the reviews are on the up 'n up and the "OWNER" submitted images do not in any reflect the condition of this hotel as it currently is today. The design of the room I'm writing this review from is Kitsch at best. I'm pretty sure the "art" and furniture are salvaged from other closed hotels. I give them credit for attempting the entire Artsy-Fartsy thing, though the execution is flawed. The sheets and pillow cases are stained and filled with holes. Curiously the wrinkles are ironed in instead of out. Baseboards are dirty, the garbage can has no bag in it, no towels in the room, Exposed wires in the lighting, stains in the carpets... We paid about 6 times more than this place should be. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going to try to check-out now. Good luck!

Yelp
This is the only hotel I like to stay in when I come to Ottawa. Perfect location to walk around ByWard market and the team here is an amazing!! Love being able to text if I need recommendations or if I have any questions, not something I see often. I always feel safe here as you need your keycard for the floors. Also there are two restaurants here - Copper Spirits and Sights on the 16th floor of the hotel, it's a rooftop patio with a beautiful view of parliament and the market; also Feast + Revel (the latter I have yet to try though). Make sure to get a room with a view of parliament, it's beautiful!! We had the pleasant surprise of being able to watch fireworks from our room (a summer thing I'm told and the first time we experienced it) but this was a nice little bonus this stay! The only thing I'd say is I'm not a fan of the parking here, as it appears to be a public lot on the side. $20 a night but pretty standard for the area. Doesn't deter me from always coming back though!

Yelp
Let's get straight to the point, the place is a dump. The rooms are small and tired, service is terrible. Upon arrival, entered our room only to find un-flushed waste in the toilet and a used bar of soap at the sink. We obviously left and requested a new room. The new room was better until we showered in the morning. The shower head had more water coming out of the back of it than the front. The shower itself leaked water all over the bathroom floor. At breakfast, the coffee was terrible and when we asked for brown sugar for our oatmeal, we were told to snag some from another table! Really?

Anna M.

Yelp
the staff here are soo friendly!! see the only thing to keep in mind is that they have valet only parking but there is some over night parking like 2 blocks away that's easy enough to get to. bathroom doors kinda don't lock sometimes but they're able to fully shut. the lobby is really nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and genuinely goes above and beyond in their service great views from the window and the beds are insanely comfortable with fluffy duvets and the rooms are nice and clean. barista is also super helpful and sweet

Yelp
I found my new hotel when visiting our nations capital! This cool, modern, almost Miami type vibe hotel has it all! Amazing views from its rooftop bar, happy hour in the lobby bar, right down to it's great service from the staff. The Andaz will please you. The rooms are cool chic, with brass and copper finishes throughout. Lighting is plentiful as is the large windows overlooking the market, parliament buildings and the Laurentians to the north. I lucked out one night and had the best view of the fireworks display!! Why not a five star you ask? While the room price is fairly priced, the valet is $35 bucks which I found steep considering the number of parking options all within a few minutes walk, a small point but the cost adds up!

Michael E.

Yelp
I really don't understand the hype about this place. I'll give it to them that the design of the room was pretty hip with current, instagram-worthy furniture. The rooftop patio/bar is also a cool amenity, but I'll leave that for a separate review. This hotel looks like it was built by an amateur general contractor and budget architect. The outside of the hotel looks like a cheap condo. The parking situation is an absolute disaster - four cars bumbling around a cramped outdoor lot looking for a spot that will never come. The lobby is incredibly cramped for how busy it is. The elevator situation (three only, and they are very slow) is atrocious - you should not have to wait for two elevator trips to ferry people up to their rooms in an ostensibly 4-star hotel. The finishes in the room are literally misaligned - did the construction team even bother to use a level? The white paint is essentially primer. The shower drain looked like it was assembled out of discarded sheet metal, and included mildew. The table my laptop is sitting on right now feels like it is going to fall apart at a moment's notice. The bed was comfortable, but there were only four small pillows for two people. This hotel was designed for instagram - flashy, impractical, and lacking attention to detail.

Yelp
I unfortunately didnt take pictures of the actual room of this place even though I was there for a few days . I was lucky to get room 1401 ( you would definitely want this room) and the view was magnificent, the staff was outstanding. I can't give it a full 5 for the following reasons : each time I put up the heating it reset the next day so I woke up always freezing , I arrived during the before last day of red zone and the next day everything reopened except here at this hotel in regards to the gym ( but that's okay ); but even though the staff was super nice, normally when you go to a hotel, the receptionist normally has small talk to see where you're from or suggests activities ( even if it's outdoor ones) except I didn't get any of that and that's okay . I am supposed to be coming back to Ottawa in the upcoming weeks but not sure if I'll stay here or try a different place , but over all really nice experience :) Ps. Super covid friendly -- hand sanitizer at entrance , pixie glass between receptionists and client , max 4 people per elevator ( also key activated as well so super safe for single women like me travelling alone )

Yelp
Had a great stay here for Canada day!! Very safe lots of security at the lobby. The room was modern and clean loved the bathroom too big glass shower with rain shower head. Best view! Also all the pop in the fridge is complimentary. They have a valet only parking but it is a bit pricey, it's cheaper to go to the paid lot across the street.

Yelp
Super modern and chic hotel that just open its doors in August 2016. The location is amazing if you want to stay in Byward market. You are literally walking distance to everything. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The receptionist greeted me with a complimentary glass of wine (score!) and he even remembered my name! Now that's what I call a five star experience however I had to take away a star because I have asked to have my room cleaned the second day but no one showed up. I'm sure it was just a communication breakdown somewhere. The rooms are very spacious with modern furnitures. The bed is very comfortable but the pillows could be better. I love that they offer complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in the room. It's these little things that matters to me and gets my repeated business. The gym and bar are both located on the top floor so you get a beautiful view of the entire city and it's a real treat when you can catch the sunset over parliament hill. It's a decent size gym with very modern and high tech equipments. Despite the mishap, I would stay at the andez again if I come back to Ottawa.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised by the Andaz in Ottawa. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again. I booked a room last minute through Hotwire. I was a little nervous because, the Byward market can be a little sleezy/trashy - especially at night (I used to live in Ottawa for 3 years). Because of the neighbourhood I wasn't sure what to expect but the hotel had a good rate last minute so I booked. From the outset the look and feel is very modern. The staff is young and very friendly. They provided a complimentary upgrade when I arrived and my room was beautiful. I loved the finishes, the window views are breathtaking, shower was great and the bed was very comfy. I also really liked the fact that non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are complimentary and they even came around to replenish them during my stay. They use a locally owned soap/shampoo/conditioner company, the products which smelled great. Room for improvements: -the coldest the hotel room goes is 19C and it takes a while. When I entered it was 24 and it felt like hours before it got cool. In comparison to the Marriott Ottawa, which goes from 24C to 18C in seconds flat (with a very strong fan pointing the bed) I was a bit disappointed. -the pillows are not structured and extremely flimsy for lack of a better descriptor. They are soft and of a good quality I just prefer a more firm pillow. I had to ask for 2 extra (on top of the 4 provided) to give me the structure I was after. -the room service is nothing to write home about; I paid $30+ for a regular eggs, bacon, toast and fruit plate and honestly the potatoes were a little over done and the entire plate was not worth the price. I was disappointed by the lack of variety offered in the menu as a whole as one of my favourite indulgences is ordering room service for my stay.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. I have been here once before. The food is very nice and the decor and ambiance is really high-end. It is the gateway to Copper, on the roof top. It looks like a nice place to stay.

Yelp
Attended a two-day work retreat at the Andaz, at one of their studio work suites. Pretty nice work location, but a few gripes regarding quarks of the establishment. Upon arriving, there is no parking, only a valet service, $25 per day...not the greatest option. The check-in desk is not a desk at all, just two attendants standing at podiums with laptops, makes for some interesting waiting lines while people are checking in. Once that was over with....the meeting room was nice, spacious, and the large meeting table had power connections for all. Free WiFi was provided, along with breakfast pastries, coffee, tea, and assorted soft drinks. At lunch, the attendant had to let us back into the room as there was no key provided to us for our meeting area. Sometimes, no attendant was around, so we left standing around for a period of time. In summary, successful venue for a work retreat, with only a few little issues to deal with. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Yelp
Just finished another stay here, and the cleanliness is definitely worse each time I come back. My team and I am are considering booking a different hotel on our next trip. There was literally pink icing from cake smeared all over the corkscrew/knife in my room. Also, the fan wouldn't turn off. Also, there was dirt and a coffee cup visible at the back of the coffee cabinet. Also, there were hairs visible on the floor of the bathroom. The front end staff still do their best, but it was really sad seeing how far downhill things have gone with the cleaning. I can no longer recommend this hotel.

Kat K.

Yelp
Just came back from a stay from this place and it was pretty great. A few things I liked was the fact that the room is very comfortable and bright and airy. Even though the rooms are not what I would call spacious, but they made the most of all the room available to them. Service wise - the front desk staff is beyond helpful and they didn't mind accommodating our weird requests - such as warm steamed milk for our Toddler and they moved us to a quieter area of the hotel - since most of their guests are mostly young, busy and party crowd. Another thing I have noticed is that their in rooms snacks and drinks are complimentary (minus any alcohol), which is definitely different from the norm I am used to. I don't necessarily love the fact that there is no option to self park - but we are in the Byward and so I accept that this cost is inevitable for staying in a "hip" area. Location is the best you are close to the Rideau, good food and most of the nicer museums at your fingertips or an easy stroll. If I have a chance - yeah, I'll stay here again

Yelp
Admittedly I already like the higher end Hyatt properties like Andaz (think W hotel equivalent) and Grand Hyatt (think Le Meridien equivalent), so it comes as no surprise that this is my favorite hotel in Ottawa. But as a self professed connoisseur of hotels, this property is one of the best in the world. They always make me feel welcome. They always have a free glass of wine or artisan cocktail at the ready, and the staff is just the most pleasant group I've ever seen. I've stayed here probably 6-7 times only over the course of 1.5 years and yet they've taken the time to learn my likes and preferences. Today they upgraded me to the presidential suite when I checked in-- a room larger than my first two apartments combined; and with a balcony overlooking the city that could double as my own private rooftop bar. Incredible. But the biggest pleasure wasn't the room, but looking in the mini fridge to see they stocked it full of Coke Zero (my favorite)-- water and soda is free at all Andaz properties. Taking the time to learn my favorite soda is priceless. Thanks An

Yelp
We 4guys were treated so well by Craig and his superb staff. Lunch of burger, fish and chips, and seared tuna was perfectly prepared and presented ! The ambiance in the main floor restaurant is modern and bright. The top floor bar is so modern and open with a great view of the Parliament buildings. It opens at 4pm daily earlier on the weekends. Wow go. Enjoy !

Yelp
Stay here for the location and the physical room (gorgeous!) You're in the Byward so skip room service (utter crap) and the restaurant entirely. Gorgeous views, and you can't beat the walkin closet and the rainfall shower (Not to mention in room Kuerig!) But definitely skip the food

Yelp
Located right in Ottawa's Byward Market this brand new hotel in Ottawa is walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and Ottawa Parliament Buildings. When booking your room make sure to request a room with a view of the Parliament Buildings for an amazing view. Upstairs the rooftop patio is the perfect place to watch the sunset, or see fireworks on Canada Day. The rooms are spacious with modern Canadiana decor and is a great pick for tourists or business travelers.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel! I walked in with credit card in hand, ready to check in and the desk attendant said "hold on, can I get you a drink?" Wow. When does that ever happen? This hotel is brand new. Rooms are beautiful. Views from 12th floor are insane. Go for this one.

Yelp
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my life. Amazing view, super friendly staff, awesome room with full of surprising design details which make my stay here so pleasant. Gonna be my go to place if I ever visit Ottawa again.

Yelp
The room was nicely decorated however there were a few things that soured our experience here: - The room was booked for 4 people. This was a weekend spa getaway for 4 girls. Only 2 of everything was provided even though we had clearly stated there was 4 people staying in the suite. This meant the complimentary snacks, towels, toiletries, all for 2 people - We had purchased a room option with breakfast included only to be told at check in that our room only came with breakfast for two people and not just that, but it was really just a $51 dollar credit to the restaurant in the hotel. At no point during the booking and confirmation process was this communicated, there was no fine print. I even called the hotel to confirm what type of breakfast it was, I was mislead to believe that it was a buffet type breakfast but with a make your personal eggs station (as I had specifically asked about this when I called) - We felt very deceived. Had we known that the breakfast included option was in fact very much a lie and came with quite a few conditions, we wouldn't have booked the hotel to begin with or opted for the less expensive package that did not include breakfast. - When we communicated this to the concierge at the hotel, they showed very little care about the issue as if it wasn't their problem - We ended up having breakfast elsewhere - No compensation was given for this very blatant bait and switch. We would have even been happy if the difference between the breakfast included price and no breakfast option was just refunded to us or not charged at all but no. - Buyer beware, this hotel will falsely advertise in order to get the booking and from that point on, you are just a number. - Byward Market Andaz, you soured what should have been a relaxing weekend away.

Yelp
Great view, but I wonder why they have so many seats with back facing the window? Service and drinks were fine. I was a bit hungry, so I ordered sardines from the menu, for $20. I figured it would be like a calamari or smelt. But no, it was a flat tin of sardines, with the metal lid artfully rolled up, along with a few crackers. Go for the view, not the food.

Yelp
A really awesome place to stay at in Ottawa!! The staff is outgoing and accommodating to make sure you have the best experience. It's in a great location close to to many different restaurants and shops! There is also a roof top look out over the city on the 16th floor.

Yelp
The hotel is very nice and clean stayed a couple of times but last night we went for drinks on the roof top bar and they water down their drink. My first drink tasted Like water and my second was slightly better but still watery. A person right beside me was complaining to the bar staff that his drink had zero alcohol so clearly it wasn't just me.

Yelp
Sorry but this reservation system makes no sense. On the website it specifically says you can only make reservations for large groups of 15-20 or more. However when you email to inquire about making such a reservation, no one responds, and then when you call and leave a voice mail, again, no one returns your call. THEN, when you go to the restaurant in the hopes of getting a walk-in, you are told that all the tables are reserved. For groups of 2-3. SORRY WHAT! Also all the guests here are middle-aged men who wear their shirts with one too many buttons unbuttoned and their chests are hairy and tanned and they are wearing a gold chain.

Yelp
I work for a company with a subsidiary in Kanada. I am willing to drive the 20-30 minutes to Kanada when I am there because of this hotel. Everything about the hotel is great. The rooms are spacious and wonderfully appointed with modern furniture locally sourced. I do not know when it was last renovated, but it seems like it was yesterday. The staff is courteous and helpful. Being an Andaz, it has all the trappings, including a local beer when you check in and locally sourced snacks refreshed daily in the room. The toiletries are also top notch, which she believe are also locally sourced and have a fig fragrance. The location is also excellent. It is in the Byward Market, so it is accessible to a lot of great restaurants and attractions. It is right inside of the city so you don't normally have to deal with a significant amount of traffic. Definitely would highly suggest to anyone staying in or around Ottawa

Yelp
I really do love this place in the heart of downtown Ottawa. I stay here frequently and have had really awesome rooms and service. After frequenting several other places, including Airbnb's, I've made the Andaz my corporate house when I travel to Ottawa for work. Their restaurant in the morning is fantastic (hit or miss in the evenings), and their location is perfect for hitting all the Byward Market restaurants and bars. I highly recommend joining the Hyatt membership program (for free) and you can get good discounts on the room. Once you get a little status on Hyatt stays, you can upgrade your room or get late checkout along with a bunch of other perks. If you can, just once, stay in a suite on one of the upper floors in the corner and try to get views of Parliament - it's pretty spectacular. Don't forget to visit the bar on the roof for some amazing views winter or summer. And if you ever luck out like me, hopefully you get the Presidential suite just one night - we will never forget it.
