"Like the bulk of luxury brand hotels in Tokyo, the 164-room Andaz Tokyo commands a series of floors at the top of a shared skyscraper—except, unlike most skyscrapers, Toranomon Hills happens to be among the tallest. Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills

"How did it strike you on arrival?Like the bulk of luxury brand hotels in Tokyo, the 164-room Andaz Tokyo commands a series of floors at the top of a shared skyscraper—except, unlike most skyscrapers, Toranomon Hills happens to be among the tallest. Check-in reflects this higher perspective as guests arrive on the 51st-floor Andaz Lounge. Instead of starting the process behind a counter, staff members check in guests in the lounge, offering a relaxed introduction (more like a casual conversation than a stiff transaction). The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Blessed with edgy architecture, the rooms take shape along the skyscraper's rounded corner. The result? A panorama of floor-to-ceiling windows curve like an IMAX screen around the room’s focal point. Mid-century-inspired interiors boast moss-green carpeting, maroon leather chairs, white walls, and handsome walnut or color-blocked surfaces. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed faces the rounded windows, and it would spoil the view to get out of the sheets too early, since there's a chance to see Mount Fuji's peak rising with the sun. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?A rare occurrence, there's no need to steal everything from the mini-bar; a handful of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are stocked and are completely free. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Free, solid Wi-Fi. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Ahh, AO Spa—don't miss delightful treatments, like a kombucha tea facial. And do visit Rooftop Bar on the 52nd floor. It’s partly open-air, full of interesting angles (including views over Tokyo Bay, but also the design), and buzzing with tea-infused cocktails. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Suddenly Toranomon is the place to be with a bevy of new construction and the opening of the must-anticipated Azabudai Hills multi-use complex nearby. Bottom line: worth it, and why? With its distinctly sophisticated style, you'll want for nothing more." - Keith Flanagan

"A collaboration between New York interior designer Tony Chi and Tokyo -based Shinichiro Ogata, this sleek Andaz property incorporates natural materials like washi paper and walnut wood high atop the multiuse business and lifestyle Toranomon Hills building.Rooms come with skyline views deep soaking tubs, and black-and-white closets and cabinets that recall the sketches of Piet Mondrian, but you won’t be cooped up for long. Snag a seat at the eight-person sushi bar, or dine on grilled snow-aged beef (that is, steaks aged in a natural yukimuro refrigerator of the white stuff) at the Tavant Grill, then end your evening with tea-infused cocktails at the rooftop bar."

We had a fantastic 6-night stay at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills. The hotel is beautiful and modern, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was very spacious and felt just like home — it made our stay extra comfortable.||||The service was top-notch. Every staff member we met was helpful, friendly, and professional. We truly felt cared for the entire time.||||We also fell in love with the wellness facilities. The 20-meter swimming pool and aquatic area were absolutely amazing, and we really enjoyed the hot tub with massage chairs, sauna, and both hot and cold plunge pools. It was the perfect way to relax after a day in the city.||||Getting to the hotel was super convenient too, thanks to the direct shuttle bus from Narita Airport.||||We’re leaving with wonderful memories and would love to return. Highly recommend this hotel!

Google
We had a perfect stay at Andaz Tokyo! I got an upgraded room even without Hyatt status and staying on an award booking. Beautiful rooms with amazing views of the city. The bathroom was a highlight, with a hot tub - basically a private onsen if you close your eyes! The lounge with happy hour is a nice escape from the busyness down below. The restaurants are all good. Easy to get a taxi downstairs, and well located to major tourist areas. The breakfast was excellent, not sure if it’s worth it if not included in your rate, but we enjoyed it. We’ll be back to the Andaz on our next Tokyo trip!

This was our second time staying at Andaz Tokyo, and once again, it was an incredible experience.||||As a World of Hyatt Globalist, we were generously upgraded to a Tokyo Tower view room, which made the stay even more special. From pre-arrival to check-out, the service from the entire hotel team was outstanding.||||Before our arrival, I arranged for several online shopping deliveries, and the staff provided clear instructions on how to do so. When we checked in, all five packages were already waiting in our room — a thoughtful touch that made everything seamless. The concierge team also went above and beyond by recommending and securing reservations at excellent restaurants.||||We arrived in Tokyo around 5 AM, and although our room wasn’t ready yet, we were invited to use the spa to freshen up. The spa facilities — including a hot tub, sauna, and massage chair — were spotless and fully stocked with amenities. It was the perfect way to recharge before heading out to explore the city.||||Breakfast at Andaz Tokyo is another highlight. A great mix of buffet and à la carte options, with the ikura and seasonal fruits being absolute must-tries.||||At check-out, the staff helped arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel, and the entire process was smooth and efficient.||||Truly grateful to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be returning!

Incredible property in a perfect location. The Andaz had an incredible wow factor from the moment we arrived. The aesthetics are amazing and pictures don’t do it justice. The amenities are perfect and the service throughout the property was 5 star. I never thought Toranomon Hills would be my favorite location but it is. The area is stunning and there are multiple metro lines connected to the hotel. Thank you Andaz Tokyo for such a memorable experience.

Google
This hotel was incredible overall and 5 stars all around! We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary for 5 nights at the start of our 3 week long Japan trip. At the end of the trip we kept saying how we wished we just stayed there the whole 3 weeks. It was so nice. The location is outside of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo in an area called Toranomon Hills which is more of a business area. There is a metro station connected under the hotel so you don't have to walk outside in heat, cold or rain though so it's easy to access. The general area around the hotel is so peaceful with many temples and other sights within walking distance. You can also walk to Tokyo Tower from there as well. We truly enjoyed the peacefulness of it all.|The breakfast buffet here was one of our favorite parts of our trip. The variety and fresheness were top notch. It was the best breakfast we had of all of our hotels in Japan and that is saying a lot when you compare to other top hotels we stayed at.|The best part of the breakfast though was the Assistant Manager of the Tavern Restaurant- Firdaus. This gentleman was so kind and willing to assist us and all of the other guests with a smile and speed. You could tell he truly enjoyed his job and he is an amazing example of customer service.|The room we had was the Tokyo Tower King Room. The view was spectacular, the bed was comfortable. We had so much space! This is like a room in the USA and not compact size like in Japan. The bathroom was also huge with a giant tub too. My favorite feature was the Dyson hair dryer.|The spa and fitness center at this hotel is also incredible. We had one rainy day and decided to stay inside and relax there and it was comparable to going to a paid spa but was included with the hotel price.|Another great thing is that they have happy hour daily with drinks and snacks and also live music in the restaurant too. They also have a rooftop bar for chilling out.|I want to give another example of how amazing this hotel is when it comes to service. This would never happen here in the USA. We purchased eyeglasses at a local shop and they were supposed to be ready prior to our departure from Japan. Unfortunately, the shop got delayed and we left without our glasses. I was so sad but I told the shop owner to send them to the Andaz and we would figure it out with them because the shop did not do international shipping. I called the Andaz and Ryo Mizushima, the front office representative, was kind enough to help us. I sent her a label and she shipped the glasses all the way to the USA for me. I was so grateful for her help!|This hotel also has spectactular housekeeping and bell staff too. They forwarded our luggage seamlessly to Kyoto with no issues or paperwork to fill out.|If you are looking for a true 5 star experience in Tokyo, do not hesitate to check out the Andaz! Thank you so much!

Google
My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and it fast became one of our favorite hotels we had ever stayed at. The deluge of great reviews here cover the most important points, but I just wanted to shout out a couple of things that really stood out even in comparison to other luxury and Tokyo hotels.||First, the layout and design of even the standard rooms is incredible. The wood and green carpet motif might seem a lot in photos, but it is tasteful and timeless in person. The rooms are also a very spacious square shape, with plenty of seating and table area opposite the bed. And the entry way and bathroom space themselves are very generous and well done in slightly darker wood and marble tones, allowing a nice contrast with the comparably light bedroom area and providing ample space to store luggage away from the primary living and sleeping space. There is absolutely no need to book a larger room for a couple, and as such the standard room booking is an excellent use of points, particularly in busy season.||Second, the location is fantastic. I initially did not think it would be, since it is not exactly walking distance to the main hot spots of Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Asakusa/Ueno/Akihabaram and Ginza or Roppongi are at best a long walk away. It was this worry that led us to stay in Shinjuku for one half of our stay in Tokyo before moving over to the Andaz. However, given that Tokyo is such a spread out city, we found that Toranomon Hills was a fantastic base for a Tokyo trip. It is around a 15-25 minute subway ride to almost everywhere in the city. And the area itself, while certainly business-oriented, is full of local life particularly at the end of the work day. In addition, if you are going to or coming from somewhere where there is not easy subway access, it is also around a 15-20 minute drive to/from anywhere in the city, with taxis constantly available outside the ground lobby. Genuinely convenient to the point of near seamlessness--which is a genuine challenge in Tokyo. ||Third, the rooftop bar is incredible, not only for the views and the high quality drinks, but for the opportunity to sit outdoors as well as indoors at that elevation. Must visit even if you're not staying there.||Lots of other good things to say that others have said, but I will absolutely stay here again the next time I have the opportunity to visit Tokyo.

Google
Awesome hotel. Location is a bit out of the way but has great view of Tokyo tower and Tokyo Bay. Many decent shops and restaurants nearby. We were very fortunately upgraded to tower view, very gracious by the gesture. Room is very clean and dated, service all around are excellent even for Japan standards. The walking connections are a bit maze like, even for a seasoned traveler. The lounge has a great coffee machine but not much else. Highly highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Google
Excellent service and exceptional facilities. My husband and I booked the king bed for our honeymoon and we were honestly surprised at how big the room and bathroom was. The bathtub was huge and made for a great soak! Moreover, the beds were super comfortable, everything was modern and clean, and the staff were all very helpful. In particular, the concierge helped us in making dinner reservations, which we greatly appreciated. They also added a special touch in celebrating our honeymoon after we let them know during the check in process. We also went to the lounge for some dessert and listen to the live band at night. The food and drinks were great and the vibes were amazing, not too loud or crowded. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and we will be staying here again whenever we visit Tokyo!

Yelp
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills was nothing short of extraordinary -- an epic part of our family's journey through Japan. From start to finish, this hotel delivered the kind of personalized, five-diamond hospitality that truly sets it apart from even the finest luxury properties. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by name -- not just once, but consistently by everyone from the bell staff to the reception team. It felt as if every staff member had been personally briefed on our arrival. They addressed us with genuine warmth and care, always using "Mr. Iryami" or "Sir" with grace and professionalism. We were celebrating my wife's birthday, and the staff made sure it felt incredibly special. From surprise touches in our room to the personalized service in the hotel restaurants, it felt like we were being hosted by family -- but with the elegance of royalty. Even the restaurant staff knew the occasion and treated us with exceptional attention. A true highlight was the involvement of the hotel's general manager, Mr. Tokutomi, who went out of his way to personally visit our room and ensure everything was perfect. In most luxury hotels, you rarely see a manager at all -- but here, he was present, approachable, and sincerely invested in our satisfaction. That level of leadership reflects in the staff's service culture throughout the hotel. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of design and comfort. It's located right in the heart of Tokyo, offering convenient access to major landmarks like Tokyo Tower, Ginza, and the Imperial Palace. Whether walking or taking a quick taxi, everything is within reach. The hotel is also connected to a luxury shopping mall, with boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores all within steps -- ideal for both quick bites and upscale browsing. The property offers multiple dining options on-site, including a stunning rooftop bar and grill with panoramic city views. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed -- ideal for both families and couples. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed with breathtaking skyline views, while the pool, spa, and gym add to the complete wellness experience. This was our first time in Tokyo, and Andaz made us feel not only welcomed -- but at home. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and deep appreciation for the level of care and hospitality we received. We can't wait to return. Thank you to the entire team -- and especially to Mr. Tokutomi -- for making our stay unforgettable. -- Rafael Iryami & Family

Yelp
Was lucky to receive a Hyatt Guest of Honor so we booked the Andaz Toranomon for our 50th birthday. We arrived by train and headed to the Andaz. It's kinda far from the Ginza line so we preferred mapping our daily destinations from the Hibiya line. Went up to the 51st floor to check in. What a magnificent view! We got seated and went over our hotel stay. Luckily we arrived around 6p so we enjoyed the free drinks and appetizers in the lobby area. We headed to our room on the 49th floor. Everything from the elevator to the walls to the decor was beautiful. The room was excellent. We loved the walk in shower and the rainfall showerhead. Service was 5 star from the hotel front desk to the restaurant service. We asked for some bottle water which they promptly gave us...then they sent a bunch more to our room about 20 min later. I understand we paid a lot for the room but the service was impeccable. I would love to stay here all the time if I could afford it or find good points deals.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at the Andaz Tokyo while on our first trip to Japan, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal! Everything about the hotel itself feels very modern and luxurious, plus the service is amazing and you really do feel catered to every step of the way. This hotel is located in a business district which can feel a bit jarring especially on the weekdays when the area is just filled with business folks. However, for tourists like us, we found the location to be quite good as you can access two metro lines (Hibiya & Ginza) without even having to walk outside. The lobby of the hotel is located on the 51st floor, and all rooms are located on floors below the 51st (we were put on the 49th floor). From the moment we stepped foot in the lobby, we were greeted warmly and guided to a cozy spot to sit while they checked us in. This just set the tone for the rest of our stay :) We asked if they had a tower view room available during our stay, and they did for the latter 2 nights. Therefore, we opted to stay in a park view room on night 1 and then move to a tower view room on nights 2 and 3 (king bed for both rooms). Having to pack up our things after the first night was a tad annoying, but they made the process as seamless as possible (we just had to have our things packed up and they moved it all for us while we were out during the day). The rooms itself were lovely with some of the most stunning views. In particular, I simply could not get over the amazing view of Tokyo Tower in our second room and it truly felt surreal. I also appreciated that the functionality of everything in the rooms was very self-explanatory, and the bathrooms had big round tubs alongside the showers. Since we spent most of our time out and about in Tokyo, we didn't get to enjoy the hotel as much as we would've liked to. However, they do have a complimentary happy hour every evening with drinks along with small snacks, desserts, etc. My boyfriend also went to the fitness center one morning and had great things to say about it. Overall, the Andaz Tokyo was absolutely our favorite hotel that we stayed at in Tokyo, and this would be our hotel of choice for the next time we visit Japan!

Yelp
Okay was literally every one in Japan the past 12 months or nah?! I get it, the FX rates were super favorable for us foreigners, might as well treat yo'self to a stay at Andaz Tokyo too while the Park Hyatt is closed for renos. I mean, we sure did ;) Thanks to my derpventure bae, we wrapped up our wedding anniversary trip with 3 nights at the Andaz and had a wonderful time. Since we booked last minute unfortunately we could only secure a twin room (2 beds), but found the room spacious for our needs. We were also welcomed with complimentary snacks and a bottle of wine to celebrate our trip! The bathroom is very spacious as well, with a large shower stall containing a rainfall shower and an even larger whirlpool bathtub that felt like a hot tub. There's a lot of amenities provided by default with each room, such as extra toothbrushes, a hairbrush, Aesop toiletries, Dyson supersonic hairdryer, and a Nespresso machine. I'm not a swimmer, but if you are, the pool is luxurious and spacious enough where you can swim laps. There are two separate hot tubs, with one being carbonated / effervescent, and there's also a floating jet pool hidden in the back. Locker rooms are well stocked, expect to have clean sandals or slippers provided everywhere for you. As a globalist, no issues with complimentary breakfast at the Tavern (near the lounge and check-in desks). We found the breakfast extensive and high quality. You can choose an item from the a la carte menu and enjoy the rest of the buffet, including their freshly prepared juices! Loved the green juice and the cappuccinos. Situated at the top few of the Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, the view is pretty good from the lounge on a clear day. We appreciated that they had evening hour for drinks and light appetizers before heading out to dinner. Note that the location is a quite a journey to get if walking from the Toranomon Hills station, so if you're not as mobile (or eating for two), mentally prepare yourself for 10+ minutes of walking up and down various routes as it's all underground through different hallways. Great to get your steps in, because we sure did!

Yelp
This was my first time staying at the Andaz Tokyo and it was spectacular. My only expectation for the hotel was the view to see Tokyo Tower from my room and this hotel simply amazed me beyond belief. The hotel is immaculate and the service is top notch. All the workers there are helpful and go out of their way to provide the best service to ensure your stay will be memorable. I was lucky to be on the 50th floor and had an amazing view of Tokyo Tower from my room. It was to die for. Literally. The room came with a rain shower and large tub. Trust me when I say I soaked in the tub every night. I'm a sucker a good bathe. The check-in process was special as they take you to the lounge area to check you in. I was fortunate that my room was ready by the time I arrived and did not have to wait. The welcome sweets was nice and they also provided me a bottle of bubbly. It took me a while to get used to the hotel since the lobby is on the 51st floor and the rooms are located below. Hearing the elevator say "going down" startled me that I had to remember that I was going down and not going up. You will need to traverse through the 51st floor to exit the hotel. The morning breakfast selection at The Tavern was excellent. A good assortment of items to grab in the buffet line as well as order from the menu. The location of the Andaz is close to the Toronomon station entrance (next to the hotel) and close to the Ginza subway station (walking distance). JR Shinbashi station is about 15 minutes away by foot. You can walk to Tōkyō Station since it's not that far away (about 30 minutes) which is really good exercise and nice to explore the neighborhood. I did not know this until my friends told me that the Toranomon Hills is considered ritzy. Thank you Andaz Tokyo for making my stay in Tokyo memorable.

Yelp
Oh! You would think a hotel new as this would have a nicer gym than this. Their gym has one bench and a set of dumbbells, two treadmills, two bikes what a joke. A hotel that cost $700 and up a night and the sorriest gym ever. Other than that the rooms are cozy and big for Japanese standards though I got deluxe room.

Yelp
What's not to love at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills? This is a stunning hotel located in the Toranomon Hills Mori tower. Rooms offer sweeping views of the city amidst luxurious, contemporary styling. Upon arriving in the reception area, there are many employees who are there to assist with luggage. Check in is on the 51st floor. There are express elevators that will swiftly get you there. Upon entering the lobby, it's grand in scale and feels very polished and chic. The desk team is very attentive. After check in,you will be shown to a different bank of elevators to access the rooms. The hallways on the guest room floors are liminal spaces that feel stark and modern. It's like being in a movie! When we got into our room, I was really pleased with 1.) The AMAZING VIEW. 2.) The large desk and ample charging options and 3.) The very nice bathroom and massive closet space. The room was sleek and had every thing we needed for our last leg of our Japan vacation. One thing that is top notch here is the blackout shades. This was incredibly helpful in allowing us to get the rest we needed. The bathroom facilities were excellent. Aesop toiletries and a rather ornate Toto toilet with bidet is included. The bathroom had some very luxe finishes that were so nice. This hotel was situated in a great location with easy access to the Tokyo Subway System. You can access through a network of underground tunnels. So as long as you don't mind walking (I am a total walking enthusiast, so I loved this) you can navigate all the way to the subway without having to be at the street level. Overall our stay at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills was great- I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The team was so courteous and friendly and the entire stay itself was near perfect.

Yelp
We stayed six nights at the Tokyo Andaz last month, and while we didn't travel across the world to relax indoors, it was almost a shame that we had so much sightseeing to do. The hotel was so nice, I wouldn't have minded hanging out there a little more. The Andaz occupies the top floors of the Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. The lobby is on 51, as is the primary restaurant. Our room was on 50, and we also visited the Rooftop Bar on 52 and the fitness center on 37. There were a lot of elevator rides, but it was fun being so far up off the ground. Toranomon is a business district, maybe a bit boring by Tokyo standards, but I didn't mind the hotel's location. We were able to walk to two subway lines without going outside (useful when the weather is bad, as it often is in Tokyo), and we got pretty good at getting around town from our Toranomon Hills base. There were also almost always cabs waiting in the taxi area when we needed to get somewhere by car. Service was great, not fawning, but very cordial and professional. Check-in was easy, and included a refreshing welcome drink. Housekeeping was reliable and thorough, and the staff at the restaurant and fitness center were attentive and polite. We also got help from the front desk sending our luggage from Tokyo to our hotel in Kyoto. That would've been a pain in the ass if they hadn't done everything for us. The public areas were all quite nice. The ground floor had some really cool paintings and an attractive light-strewn entryway to the Andaz part of the tower. The lobby was lovely, and the Tavern restaurant had both great food and great views. We got breakfast included with our stay and enjoyed both the buffet and the a la carte menu. There were also complimentary wine and canapés from 6:00 to 8:00 every evening, but we were always out at that time. We visited the Rooftop Bar once. It wasn't an especially good bar, and there was a seating charge for the terrace seats, even for hotel guests, but the views were fantastic. I don't typically use hotel fitness centers, but I went to the Andaz's once. I took a quick swim and a shower and a dip in the hot bath. It felt pretty indulgent. We stayed in room 5001, which was a king bed with a park view, I believe, that counted as an upgrade. I'm guessing all the rooms have great views, but ours really was spectacular. The room was also spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and a big shower next to a deep bathtub. There was a living area with a couple tables and a couch lined up against the window. This was where we relaxed when we had some down time, and the hotel supplied us with treats like manju and dorayaki, as well as a card, chocolates, and a bottle of wine acknowledging our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time in Tokyo and are already dreaming of our next trip back. I'd happily stay at the Andaz again. It was a luxurious hotel where we enjoyed amazing views almost every time we opened our eyes.

Yelp
Honestly I have no idea why this hotel has such high reviews. The rooms are old (worn dingy carpet) and the service is chaotic and hurried. I did have a great view and the restaurant was surprisingly good. Overall, definitely not a 5-star experience.

Yelp
This was my 3rd trip to Japan this year and I finally got to stay at the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills. Location is convenient as the building is connected to a short walk to the subway station. There is a dedicated elevator from the ground floor that takes you directly to the lobby level. Check in is a bit confusing as there are no signs, but I was quickly greeted by the friendly staff who assisted with my check in. The lobby level is also where they have complimentary small eats and drinks throughout the door. In the evenings for happy hour, they have alcoholic choices such as wine & beer. I was upgraded to a Twin Room with Tower View and it did not disappoint. The room was located on the 50th floor and had amazing views all times of the day. The beds were comfortable and I loved all the small touches in the room. I was left a welcome note and snack on the table. And of course at Andaz, you get complimentary snacks and drinks. As a globalist member, breakfast was complimentary at the restaurant located on the same floor as the lobby. Food was a combination of buffet and a La carte. I appreciated the western and Japanese options. Service is top notch, at check out, I asked for a taxi and the staff downstairs already prepared one for us. One of the more memorable stays in Tokyo.

Yelp
I did 3 separate nights at the Andaz and loved each room. I got upgraded to the Tokyo Tower view and it was great! Loved the circular tub with the bath salts that was available. Also there's two carbonated heated tubs in the swimming area. Finding the Andaz was a bit difficult if you just use google maps. Just find your way to the Mori Business Tower and follow the arrows instead. The massage package with the customized bath salts was excellent! I filled out a form about what kind of music do I like and what seasons I like sense wise and music wise. I got a bath salt with mashed apple, fig leaves, rose, fresh herbs that you can pick from their garden. At the end they gave me a banana smoothie and some grape malt balls. Afternoon tea was halloween themed and all the sandwiches and pastries were so cute! You also get a glass of whatever tea you choose from a list they have. It is 90 min long but well worth it.

Yelp
Great and fantastic stay at the Andaz Tokyo. Although not as quite central in Shinjuku where the action is at, it is dead at night. but it's more or less 10 min cab ride to Tokyo station. Check in process was smooth and easy, the rooms was well kept and in good condition. Aesop body wash, shampoo and lotion is a huge plus in its typical standard bottle size, not those mini ones! Breakfast spread was amazing, lots of varieties to choose from especially the donburi roe and miso soup station. I personally think it tops the breakfast spread at Park Hyatt Kyoto. And of course you get to pick a main dish of your choice whether it be (fluffy) pancakes, Japanese traditional breakfast, eggs any way you like - I opted for a traditional egg plain omelette. Cooked to perfection! The Spa and swim is amazing! You have to wear a swim cap but they caps and goggles provided upon request for free. One of the park I really enjoyed most is the carbonated water jacuzzi. Really amazing.

Yelp
Impeccable hotel. We were so glad that we took up on thepointsguy's advice and stayed here rather than Park Hyatt. (Still curious about it though) Unique check-in. The manager met us in lobby and took us to the room to finalize check-in. When he realized our preference was a king size bed, he let us stay in the room to finish the welcome dessert and soon after he returned to escort us to the king room. ** the dessert eclairs were superb and we bought more later from the on-site bakery on the ground floor. Do not miss!! ** Everything was fantastic. Customer service, hardware, software, the stunning view, buffet breakfast (complimentary for Hyatt globalist), lounge, finally bakery!! We invited our friends over to the hotel and they were amazed too. (By the pastry too haha!) The hotel lobby is on the 50th floor and room 49th floor, if I remember correctly after couple months. ;) The elevator to hotel lobby was very tricky to find and the hallway a little dark too once you enter this tallest business building in Tokyo. You have to go up to the lobby floor and walk to a different elevator to go to guestroom floor. Special thanks to the staff who prepared delicious breakfast for us at 5am! We had to catch early flight and so grateful for their hospitality and hard work. It is about 10 min walk from subway station if you don't mind it. We will no doubt stay here again.

Yelp
This is my 3rd time staying here this year. This is one of the best hotels in Japan. Honestly one of my favorite in the world. Very kind staff, pretty consistent across Japan, especially 5 star hotels. Huge bathtub in your room and high pressure rain and handheld showers. Automated blinds and shades. All pretty standard at the 5 star hotels. Convenient location. Where it really starts to separate is the 24 hr gym. Great views, good equipment, large space. Especially for jet lagged Americans waking up at 3am it's an oasis. There's even a small conference room near the spa area to make private calls. Really there's lots of spaces in the lobby also. The indoor pool is very relaxing. Again great views. They have this water massage chair area and feet massage or massage that comes from the floor that is so relaxing after a long day of walking in Tokyo. My personal favorite though is the morning buffet. Their custom order menu with large selection of beverages, made to order eggs, traditional Japanese breakfast option, and other options is impressive. They consistently have a very delicious fruit display. Melons, plumbs, cherries, kiwi. Many buffets in Japan only have apple, orange, grapefruit, banana, and pineapple. On occasion I've had papaya and sometimes when there isn't enough to display you can ask if they have more in the back. They will make you crispy bacon if you ask. Unlimited ikura is the show stopper. I think I've eaten my weight in ikura and my time at this buffet. Lastly, going above and beyond they made me a custom green drink when I mentioned the green drink they have had a lot of apple which can have more sugar. Anyway, just blown away. Special thanks to Assistant Manager Frosty Au for being so accommodating. Thank you!

Yelp
When we visited Tokyo in 2019, we stayed at this hotel in their harbor view suites and it was well worth the price for the room. The room and the amenities are all-inclusive, and they stock up the fridge with drinks that range from Japanese whiskey to fruit sodas. Each day the room is replenished with an entirely new batch of snacks and drinks, and the room has a great view of the Tokyo tower and the metropolitan scene of downtown Tokyo. The hotel's check in is not on the 1st floor and the daily buffet for breakfast has plenty to look forward to. The pool and gym are what you expect from a 5 star hotel, there's a swimming pool and then there's a jacuzzi pool adjacent to it that's decorated with dark granite stones and has four separate areas for families to sit in and enjoy the views of tokyo from high above. After a busy itinerary going around the city doing sightseeing and plenty of shopping around, we discovered that there's a nice cafe on the 2nd floor of this hotel that has an outdoor patio area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Tokyo (perhaps not during the Olympics but just during your business travels or vacation stays), I definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Overall rating should be higher but the actual quality of the cafes and restaurants cause this review to drop! Utilize the good morning cafe across the st. Delicious skillet waffle and nice western type breakfast ! The problem w this hotel is locals like to use the 51st floor view and chilled out for hours. This is a problem when you are staying in the hotel and all you want is lunch or a nice breakfast! Room was six Pool health club spa excellent Overall condition of hotel very clean and staff so nice. Accept one w attitude! Not common for Japanese people ,overall I found the Japanese in this city being really nice considering it the world s largest city ! Attempted and used the French cafe ,Benu etc all great to excellent quality. Problem areas The cafe and restaurants in the morning as well as lunch and afternoon! My analysis: Svc is very slow and this is reflected in the system problem of having an 15% tip to your bill. No incentive to improve in quality. Yes I read about Japan and it s rude to tip but there quality is lacking. Spoke w management about mistakes they verbalize understanding ! Even world of Hyatt customer svc placed me in contact the manager @ Andaz! The issue is $$$800 dollars a day ,actually $2900 USA dollars for four nights on my Hyatt card. My recommendation ! Use your point s if your from the USA. They add several charges to your regular bill , svc , tax etc. my one regrets not utilizing my tons of points. They have I. Your room a wonderful video of all the features of the hotel like drinking tea and even a little biscuit to go w it on the side. Well that never happened and all I got was overcharged. Manager handling that. !! My harsh review is in comparison to other andaz , West Hollywood ,Amsterdam, etc. overall I've never had to complain about the Andaz product! But hopefully they will improve the dining experience! Or if you stay utilize all the wonderful restaurants in the food court area of the toromondo hills Bldg.

Yelp
My favorite hotel in Tokyo. I always stay at this place because of its modern look and cleanliness of the property. It's not situated in the most ideal spot to explore around the heart of Tokyo city but it's worth the detour in my books. The rooms are very clean and modern which I really like and if you are lucky, you can have a nice view of the Tokyo tower in front of you which looks gorgeous in both the day and night! Their breakfast is awesome which I have been going to every time I stayed here. I don't usually like breakfast but this place changed me!

Yelp
After 2 stays and all together more than 7 nights at Andaz Tokyo, I'd highly recommend this hotel. Highlight: 1. Service: Upon arrival you'd get warm greetings and welcome drinks. A member of staff would help with check in, luggage and showing to the room. It's been a seamless experience every time. We have also made two restaurant and an airport shuttle reservations through the hotel, and all have been very smooth. I found the taxi service very helpful, the staff would make sure that the driver understands where you are going, which saved a lot of creative communication from my end. 2. Room: Great view. Being high up in the middle of Tokyo, every sunrise, sunset, neon lit evening streets seen from the rooms at Andaz was memorable. The rooms are generally very well maintained and tastefully decorated. Fully stocked mini bar, high end amenity & bathroom supplies. To top it off, there's also an indoor onsen with seasonal bath salt in every room. Location wise, it's a 10 minute walk away from the Toranomon station, and the area is more of a business district rather than entertainment or tourism. Some people consider it disadvantage while I found this a plus because it's not as overwhelming as areas like Shinjuku, and I also got to enjoy people watching in the morning when huge waves of locals coming to work in the same building (different entrance from the hotel). There are also at least 3 coffee shops/cafes in the building that local "salaryman" go to, which are great alternatives to the hotel breakfast. Pro tip: Avoid going to breakfast at the hotel restaurant between 9 - 10 am. It gets very busy with lots of families (read: screaming kids), and your chance of getting a table with amazing view is significant lower.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel and top-notch service! This is a beautiful property set on top of the Toranomon Hills skyscraper complex (which means, you don't have to go somewhere else for great, panoramic views of Tokyo :)). Despite being located in more of a business district, we didn't miss (or want) being in a busier part of town - it was easy getting around Tokyo with a subway station so close by, and there were enough dining choices nearby to satisfy us when we didn't feel like venturing out for a meal. Plus, it felt great coming back to this wonderful oasis after a full day of cherry blossom season crowds! Traveling with our little toddler, we appreciated all the little touches and amenities the hotel provided to make our lives easier: from an internet-connected smart phone, crib, to the various bites and beverages set in the lobby for breakfast and happy hour! Apparently, the Andaz also provides strollers! (Not that we would have used one... I can't imagine how painful taking a stroller up, down, and through the subway stations would be...) If your budget allows for the splurge, or if you have enough Hyatt points to redeem, I highly recommend staying at the Andaz!

Yelp
Okay, Andaz Tokyo did not pay me for this ridiculously bias review, but I'm going to say it: This is the BEST hotel I've stayed at. Period. Better than all the overrated 5-star hotels in Las Vegas. Better than the Park Hyatt Tokyo, which I had claimed was the best a while ago. In a statement: The Andaz Tokyo is perfect. PERFECT. The hotel is actually located on the 51st floor, whereas the entrance is, you guessed it, on the 1st floor. To get the main lobby, you take an elevator that literally only has two buttons (1 and 51) to the top floor. Upon arrival, you are greeted a staff so meticulously groomed for anyone's arrival that you're simply surrounded by people all the time. It can be a good and bad thing, but for me, it was awesome. Check-in is very different as well. The attendant guided us to this lovely lobby area and asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked for a cup of Earl Grey and my sister had something else. After submitting our passport and credit card, we were greeted once more and escorted to our room with our luggage already being delivered to the room. Let's not even get started on the design of this place. It's easily 100/100. The exquisite designs are found everywhere the amount you arrive. It's a typical Andaz property taken to a whole new level. The elevator itself was an artwork. Combined with a twist of a Japanese palette, it's minimal yet elegant with taste. The guest floors for example, have this long and large hallways similar to a sci-fi gateway. It was an absolute pleasure to walk back and forth from this hallway, a thing I never heard myself say. As for the room? I'll let the pictures do the talking. One cool note: the minibar and snacks found in the drawers are all complementary, meaning all the cokes, water, tea, crackers, chocolate and wasabi cookies are all FREE. FREE. This made us realize just how fortunate we were to NOT buy drinks. The bathroom design is probably one of my favorites. A sink beautifully carved with a polished piece of wood, and the entire bathroom felt sultry and almost seductive-like. You get a rainfall shower and a separate tub designed for the sole purpose of indulging in a more intimate setting. But nothing beats the view. Okay, so it's tied with the Park Hyatt Tokyo, but unless you can ask for anything better, you be hard=pressed to find a hotel with a view THIS GOOD. You just want to wake up and stare outside. It's almost dreamy. The gym and the spa facilities were both top-notch, and are free to use for hotel guests. Again, the entry to the spa and gym facilities makes everything pale in comparison. They were simply works of art, and even those who don't adore architecture will appreciate the wonderful design given. The pool facilities is also a one of a kind - there is a large (gigantic I might add) that overlooks the city, with a grotto to the side containing two huge, beautiful infinity hot tubs leading to a dark warm water bathing pool. This really makes the pool all the more enjoyable. The Andaz pool experience is truly spectacular. My parents spent a tremendous time at the pool and spa alone, making it a wonderful retreat for those who enjoyed their stay at the Andaz Tokyo. Bottom Line: This is the new IT hotel in Tokyo. The Andaz Tokyo is literally on a whole new level as a luxury hotel, with a design and service element that literally takes your breath away. It's hard to verbally describe the 5-star experience, but imagine all your senses heightened to whole new heights. It's an experience worth going for yourself. Fans of the Hyatt chain will know that the Andaz theme does not disappoint. Mature and sophisticated, the Andaz Tokyo is one that defies what a true 5-star hotel is like. In my persona opinion, this may be the best Andaz, no the best hotels in the planet, period. Everything is designed to ignite your passion and curiosity, which is what any hotel should be. Andaz Tokyo, the new standard for luxury hotels? Yes. A definite yes.

Yelp
I stayed here for 16 days for a business trip and it was one of my best hotel experiences in the world. The property is located in a very nice part of Tokyo, and close to many of the attractions. The hotel is inside a state of the art business building with many restaurants inside it. There is also a good coffee shop in the building called the Toranomon Coffee. My hotel room had the view of the city facing east. I could not have been happier. The lobby of the hotel is fabulous and what a cool concept to have a living room area in the lobby to get free coffee, drinks, pastry, newspaper and much more. It does not feel like a hotel but a very nice house of someone. The minor details of the hotel are very nice, it just livens up your experience staying away from home. The breakfast is fabulous with plenty of options for fresh fruits, seafood, pastry, eggs, etc. The hotel room is well appointed with nice bed, very good toiletry, soft pillows and towels and a safe and sound environment. The gym has plenty of good machines and a view you cannot beat. The swimming pool and hot tubs are just as nice. The service of everyone working here is very professional and cannot be compared to some of the other big chain hotel experiences. I am looking forward to staying at more of the Andaz properties!

Yelp
Good hotel but not near what I would expect at the price point. I am giving an extra star because the concierge helped me get difficult dinner reservations (although, frankly, that was just luck on his part). The view is fantastic and the whole hotel is very modern and sleek. Spa is very nice perk. The issues are as follows: - Sad breakfast spread - Very annoying philosophy to service. They seem to believe that they should go above and beyond but really it's just intrusive. Example: With privacy light on, housekeeping slid a note under the door then called and left a message too... I had to check the messages before bed because it was blinking. Note to management: good service is about staying out of the way and being there to SERVE the customer. You made us feel like we were bothering the room service by having our privacy light on. - Poor English in general compared to Regency - Confusing layout with the elevators and lobby, and not private at all - My friend felt extremely uncomfortable and harassed for having tattoos despite this being an international hotel - Weird rules like no one can walk through car drop off The only reason to stay here is if you're on business and not paying for it. Otherwise I heard there are better hotels at this price range or you should just stay at the Regency shinjuku

Yelp
the andaz tokyo officially ruined us, for life, for now we will only use andaz tokyo as our 5-star hotel benchmark. it was a toss up between andaz and park hyatt. i ultimately decided to go with andaz because something told me to... and also because we had a lunch reservation near the tokyo tower so it was convenient. we booked a tower view king because well, why wouldn't you want to wake up and fall asleep to the view of tokyo tower? andaz hotel lobby starts at the 51st floor, and guest rooms occupy 47-50(?). our hotel room view took our breath away. the floors are so high that even laying in bed you only see the tip of the tokyo tower. you really do get a spectacular aerial view of tokyo / tokyo bay. amenities? second to none. we were out and about for a few and the hotel staff already came into restock all items used. the shower / tub was super upscale. the decor / interiors craftsmanship screamed quality. i didn't turn on my cell service during my trip to tokyo, but our room came equipped with a complimentary cellular device that allows you to have access to free calls and map! so we roamed about the street of tokyo with the handy device! hotel bar offered live music. there was an unlimited coffee / tea bar, and there was constantly snacks out for us, and even a small wine soiree in the evening. professional and experienced hotel staff with english proficiency. location is a brief walk from the toranomon station. it's a very business area so night and day compared to shinjuku. but we appreciated the upscale / professional vibe. the only regret? that our stay was too short.

Yelp
We stayed here for the first time earlier this month and had a great time. We were put in an Andaz Large room and it had an absolutely beautiful view. Our daughters loved to look outside and see all the blinking lights! We also have a perfect view of Tokyo tower and the stroller we were able to borrow from the Andaz was super convenient. The concierge was very helpful but it did not alway seem like they were as familiar with the area as we would have expected. However, they always made sure to find the correct information if they did not know it themselves. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Tavern. There was a reopening going on so we got to have a bit of variety with the breakfast being served in a different location each morning which was fun for our girls. I will never forget the delicious Iced cafe latte I had daily! The room was great with adorable little kimono and bath sets for our daughters and they loved taking a bath in the large round tub. The Argan toiletries by Cote Bastide are my new favorite! Everything was pretty convenient but I will say that that elevators left much to be desired as I dreaded going in every morning and having my ears pop. My daughters hated it and I'm not sure why it was so much pressure! Regardless, we loved our stay!

Yelp
We loved the Andaz! Beautiful property with great amenities. The room is fantastic (didn't love the green carpet), the spa is great, the lobby is great, the rooftop is great, and the staff is wonderful. Check in was smooth and easy - we received drinks while waiting and then went up to our room, which had a full stocked fridge. Want to know why I want to give this place more than a 5 star??? They provide you with a phone in the room that you can take with you. This saved us from so much trouble! We could use the gps and look at the internet - THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

Yelp
We had sort of a mixed experience at this hotel. The reception/checking folks were super friendly, but the people in the lobby Bar were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The room itself was cool, but the main floor lobby/interior of the building to get to the hotel front desk check in was difficult and hard to find so it was frustrating. Especially when it's late and you're cold and tired and hauling two cases and there is really no signage, you can't tell where to go or how to get to the hotel check-in. This is one of those hotels that tries so hard to be "cool" and modern that it is on the verge of being just annoying. Where the doors just look like walls, and there is no signage, you're just supposed to know where to go. I get that the ultramodern design thing is "hip" but there is such a thing as taking it too far. I will say though that the room had incredible views, and probably the greatest bath tub of just about any hotel I have ever been in. With better signage, more helpful staff, and friendlier service people in the bar, I could easily see this being a five-star hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. The views are amazing. The rooms are amazingly appointed. The food is amazing. The staff are amazing. The value when using Hyatt Cash/Points is amazing. Yeah...this place is awesome. How bout I be fair first and say the one major negative I found. The massage chairs in the locker rooms aren't made for someone of Western height...I'm 6'4 and didn't fit at all, can't imagine that someone even 5'10 would fit...the biggest letdown of the entire place. The rooms are beautifully appointed with old fashioned style switches and the blinds and many other parts are automated so you can press a button and they move. The bathrooms are amazingly well appointed. Partciularly so for Japan, where a bathtub of that quality is basically unheard of. The toiletries were also great, and I wish more hotels realized how important this is. The location of the hotel is just okay, I didn't get a chance to leave the hotel during my stay but on the way out it was just a 15 minute cab ride to the train station to catch the NEX to Narita. The staff was great.....much much better than the Hyatt Regency in Shinjuku. All the staff I interacted with were conversation in English with most being fluent. It seemed that many of the staff are not Japanese but have come in from other parts of the Hyatt system. This provides a very different experience from other hotels in Tokyo. The hotel is beautiful as well with an amazing lobby on the top floor and a restaurant and pools with awesome views. So long as you know what the Andaz is (it's definitely a different experience from other 5 star hotels) then you'll love it here. It's my #1 hotel in all of Japan and I plan on returning again and again.

Yelp
My favorite hotel of all time. We loved the spacious rooms, the service, the mind-blowing spa and fantastic layout. Would absolutely go back to and Andaz Tokyo on our next trip to Japan!

Yelp
When it comes to finding a beautiful hotel to come home to, its hard to beat the Andaz when you are in Tokyo. Its beautifully appointed rooms, stellar service, and fantastic views all combine to create one of the best hotel experiences ever. That being said, its location is its one shortcoming, but easy to overcome. Topping out the Mori Tower in Toranomon (don't confuse it with one of the many other "Mori Tower's" across Tokyo) on its 47th through 50th floors, the rooms offer spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline and its many monuments and natural features. From what I could tell, none of the rooms had a bad view and the building itself towers over the neighborhood. The rooms themselves are generous by Japanese standards and feature very comfortable beds, nicely appointed seating areas, and a large well appointed bathroom that contains a very generous tub. The natural wood tones were incredibly soothing and relaxing after a long day around Tokyo. Comfort and feeling at home immediately come to mind. The staff were incredible. They were fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We were able to converse comfortably with everyone we came across in english with no trouble. In one instance, a member of our party came ill and when we went to the store to find a cold medicine only to find everything in Japanese (duh!) we came back and the staff looked up all of the active ingredients to help us decipher if this was best for our friend. No joke. They made us feel as if we were home even though we were in a foreign land. If the gym is your thing, the fitness center in the AO club is spectacular and well appointed with modern equipment. Plus, when can you say that you worked out in a gym 37 stories above Tokyo? If food is your thing, there is a plethora of restaurant options, including the ones in the hotel, along the main arcade area of the building. The one downside is its location. The Toranomon neighborhood is still being built out and while there are a few subway lines nearby, it generally necessitates transferring to other lines as you reach the sights and more famous neighborhoods. Is it that bad? No, just something you should be aware of. The hotel is truly spectacular and despite its location, I definitely would come back. It makes a foreign city home and realize that the Andaz experience is nothing like anything else.

Yelp
Let's do another what I remember from this hotel: - All the surfaces and decor scream mid-century modern Mad Men with a beautiful Japanese twist. - Electric blinds - Area is kind of dead on weekends, a bit far from subway lines, but not unreasonable. Close to Ginza - Complimentary snacks - Pool is modern and sleek - The lounge is very relaxing and has complimentary refreshments - Spa looked amazing, unfortunately didn't have enough time to try.

Yelp
Few times has a hotel astounded me as this one does - it's the new 東京. A combination of modern design, meets Tokyo in an Okura hotel kind of cool. I'm not staying anywhere else in 東京 again.

Yelp
While in Tokyo, we stayed at Andaz, Conrad, and Peninsula. Service was impeccable at all three. But the rooms at Andaz won us over. Incredible panoramic view of the city, complimentary mini bar (minus alcohol drinks), complimentary happy hour, awesome gym facilities. The fact that the hotel was built in 2014-2015 also helps. Some have complained about the location of the hotel. We didn't see this as an issue at all as the hotel is very close to the subway station. We will be back!

Yelp
Found Andaz Tokyo on Amex travel and couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here. We stayed for 7 nights here and 2 nights at the Hilton also found on Amex travel. The room was good sized and the views were amazing. We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji a few mornings. We ordered room service a couple of times and service was always prompt and the food was good (especially the burgers! We are planning a trip back again next year and will be staying here for sure!

Yelp
Loved staying here for business. Service was impeccable at every level, also had to get a suit button fixed and they took care of it quickly and professionally - big points for going above and beyond there. Rooms have an attractive modern style, shower/bath was spacious, japanese toilet was top of the line. Spa/pool area was beautiful, enjoyed the breakfast buffet too. Located in a tower complex with plenty of eating places and shops, green areas, very convenient and new. I would love to stay here again.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay! The service is awesome, and I loved the laid back style of they have Andaz hotels. The service at this hotel was especially impressive. They were extremely polite, able to speak and English, and very conscientious. All things you should expect from a hotel priced like this. The room we stayed in was spacious, especially for Tokyo. It also came stalked with tons of snacks, an amazing view of Tokyo tower, a great bed, luxurious rain shower, and large circular bath tub. The decor was pretty sweet, too. The buffet breakfast was solid and yummy! They had a really great grilled eal fried rice along with many other goodies like, smoked salmon, eggs anyway you want it, fresh fruit, and grilled fish. My only gripe with this hotel is that the floor plan is a bit confusing. There are certain elevators that only go to specific floors and when all the hallways look the same it is easy to get turned around. Yet, this is a small complaint! Oh yea, and the pool has Ana amazing view of the city.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. I've been in a lot of hotels, but I don't think any of them compares to Andaz. The rooms - beautiful, elegant, and great views. The employees - nice, happy, and helpful. The food - delicious! The experience - amazing.

Yelp
This review is only about the concierge service. As non-Japanese-speaking foreigners, part of the reason we booked a luxury hotel was so that the concierge could help us navigate the city. We emailed the concierge saying we were interested in five different restaurants and asking to book us for three specific nights at whichever had the space. Many of them were closed for the holidays or full, which is not the Andaz's fault. But then, when one restaurant did have space, they didn't make a reservation! Also, there was a delay in their replies (consistently 2-3 days to get a response), which certainly didn't help. Finally, I asked for recommendations for other sushi and kasakei restaurants besides the ones we had mentioned, and they did not respond--at all. So here we are, paying so much for this experience, and we've gotten absolutely no help from the Andaz. Very frustrating.

Yelp
We stayed here on 3/25/17-03/28/17. We have stayed a lot of Andazs. This is the most amazing place Andaz with great service. Everything about this place is hands down 5stars. Definitely will come back and stay here. Will recommend everyone I know to stay here as well.

Yelp
Amazing hotel in the Toranomon area of Tokyo. Very sophisticated and polished rooms with a high staff to guest ratio. The rooms are exquisitely simple and efficient with every amenity you can think of ...including a Bose speaker system. Jowen, Andaz host, is absolutely fantastic in organising the best eats, shopping and cultural activities. If you can swing the nightly rate, stay no where else. Oh yes, I cannot forget to mention the very special and gracious Hiroki S. who made my last night in Tokyo very special... a great Japanese whisky tasting ...which will be remembered!

Parham N.

Yelp
Every time I've stayed at the Andaz, it has been the best hotel experience. The way they take care of you, the quality of the rooms, the complimentary drinks, snacks and more are always worth the cost. This specific hotel is incredibly beautiful with incredible views. For Japan, these rooms were quite spacious, the bathrooms beautiful with both rain showers and bath tub inside. What makes Andaz special is the design and personalized service. If you value these things then I highly recommend this hotel. The view is very special for Tokyo!

Yelp
We stayed here for three nights and had a bay side view and an upgrade for a bigger room. Architecturally, everything was near perfect. How could it not be?! You're at the highest point overlooking one of the most lively cities. And when it rained, we were at the same level as the clouds. The service, however, was so awkward. Were they aiming for casual or aloof? When we arrived, we exited the elevator and walked down a short hallway. To the right was a room akin to an Apple store - solid bar table in the middle and everyone standing around it has an Apple laptop. No one looked up from their computers so we had to assume it was some kind of business center. Then we turned left and there were two large tables and people sitting around it with luggage. We asked the people at the "Apple store" whether they could direct us to the front desk. They said they could help us check in but it's very busy so they asked us to wait in the room with the two large tables. Someone checked us in eventually and then she offered to show us to our room, but she did not offer to take our bags or to get someone to help us...until we asked. After a while it started to feel like our business was somehow an inconvenience to them which was a tad annoying. Our room was gorgeous and the view was breathtaking. I took many soothing baths in the round tub.

Yelp
I love love loved this hotel. On my trip to Japan I stayed here, the St. Regis Osaka, and the Park Hyatt and I kind of wish I had saved this hotel for last. It spoiled me for all the rest. I found myself confused at other hotels where toilet seats and window shades weren't fully automatic. It's brand new, which makes it hard to beat in terms of beauty and style. But even beyond just the aesthetics of a new (and very well appointed) hotel, I thought the service was stellar. The wasabi rice cracker snack in the room had me searching the rest of my trip for something similarly delicious-- to no avail. Overall, I feel like the Andaz is the perfect balance of luxury without the stuffiness.

Yelp
The Andaz Tokyo is absolutely amazing. It is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. I stayed here for 3 nights over summer in an Andaz King with a view of the Tokyo Tower. This is my go to hotel if I visit Tokyo again. For its expensive price, it is worth the value. Room quality - The view is amazing. You could just stare out the window and soak in views of Tokyo Tower or Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The rooms are larger than most American hotels in the US as well too, and more than generous in terms of Japanese room offerings. Everything is well maintained, modern, and luxurious. There is a full walk-in closet with fuzzy slippers (replaced everyday at no cost), a walk-in shower and bath tub. The toilets are fancy. Because this hotel sits on the top 5 floors of the building, there are spectacular views. Lobby - Well decorated and inviting. There are large wooden tables to lounge at and there is a happy hour in the early evening with complementary snacks and wine. Spa/Pool - Stunning. There is a pool that is 40+ floors above ground level. Though it is not an infinity pool, the views are still simply amazing. 2 hot tubs and 1 larger hot pool with massage jets in the common area. There are private separate locker rooms with showers, hot pool (140F+), a cold pool (40F), a sauna and steam room. Fuzzy slippers, robes, water bottles, and toiletries (everything such as razors, toothbrushes, etc) are also provided at no extra cost. There are even 4 massage chairs! The gym is also right next door. Service - The service at this hotel is impeccable. This is what truly makes a stay amazing. The staff speak English very well and accommodate your personal needs. Our flight was set to depart around midnight (late check-out of course does not stretch out that far), but the front desk manager allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel and use the spa facilities before departing Japan (she is the most amazing person in the hotel to meet and she tries to personally greet every visitor). On that note, the front desk manager also has a wealth of knowledge - ask her for local eats and maps. The hotel is convenient to subway lines via Toranomon Station. It is about a 10 minute walk, which is not too bad. And downstairs on the ground floor (not hotel lobby), there is a bar that imports Lagunita's IPA Beer from California. Pretty amazing.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and awesome views of the Tokyo tower and skytree at night; we were also able to see the Imperial Palace grounds from our room. I love the thoughtful little amenities in the rooms. Staff was super nice, young, and fluent in English (not something to take for granted in Japan). I would also note this is the only Hyatt hotel in Tokyo that allows 3 guests in a standard room without extra charge. Special acknowledgement to Ayumi who helped check us in, booked airport limos for us the day prior to leaving, and at the time of departure even personally walked us down to the taxi stand. It was great having a friendly familiar face as a "go to" person throughout our stay. The pool/locker area is something to check out in its own right, even if you don't use the spa. I didn't have a lot of time to use the facilities, but prior to checking out, managed to squeeze in some time to play in the hot tub and use the locker room amenities and massage chair. There are a lot of restaurants in the first few levels of the building, although I didn't have a chance to try any of them. The only thing I would change about the hotel itself is having more snacks and food available in the lobby, to make it more "lounge" like. During the day, It was just 3 canisters of hard candy, a Japanese cracker snack, and something else I forgot. During breakfast, they had maybe 5 pieces of small pastries on the plate at any given time; it felt more like a display than an invitation to eat. It's a few blocks away from the subway, but apparently they are working on another stop via the Hibiya line.

Yelp
I never write reviews for hotels so this is a little out of the ordinary for me. Why? Because Andaz Tokyo is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at, in my life. Other than the awkward check-in desk, everything else was absolutely perfect. Modern Japanese interior, paired with world-class amenities (I was surprised to see the newest Panasonic hair dryer here), and unbeatable views of Tokyo - Andaz has me yearning to return, again and again.

Yelp
Simply..................AMAZING! My wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice in the recent past, during the spring and fall of 2015. On both occasions, we absolutely loved this hotel and everything it has to offer. Very stylish and modern, yet not stuffy. The staff is very pleasant and polite, and the rooms very spacious and stylish. There is absolutely NOTHING negative about this hotel, and we will be returning every time we visit Tokyo.

Yelp
Very new and nice decorations for the hotel. Everything is so elegant. It's my first time staying here and it amazed me!!! I strongly recommend it. Please, when you visit Tokyo, choose this hotel. You won't regret it.

Yelp
The Andaz is a very nice hotel, with comfortable rooms, interesting architecture, good food, and great views. However, the service can be needlessly awkward (as May from New Orleans well described previously) and sometimes can even verge on being abusive. I both thoroughly enjoyed the Andaz and sometimes resented it. Here's the positive... ACCOMODATIONS: The rooms feature the Japanese aesthetic yet are comfortable, warm, quiet and inviting. The dressing room / bathroom area is made from marble and have very nice fixtures and finishes. I am also impressed that I never heard anybody in the surrounding rooms - the construction seems quite good. CUISINE: The restaurant puts out consistently good food that's well seasoned, well prepared, and well presented. The chef changed the menu regularly - we enjoyed the variety. The wine menu is varied and has depth. The desserts are well crafted and creative. In fact, the Andaz's bakery on the first floor has some excellent desserts we took back to our room and enjoyed while looking at the fantastic view with a glass of wine. Very nice! I am also not much of a breakfast person but thoroughly enjoyed the variety and quality of their daily breakfast buffet. Buffets are almost universally awful, but this one is really nice. Compliments to the chef! AMMENTITIES: I must applaud the hotel for eliminating those annoying and petty charges that seem to plague some hotels. WiFi is fast and free. The gym and pool are very nice and free. They offer a variety of convenient and free snacks / drinks in the room and in the main lobby (on 51). This 'generosity' is quite impressive. PERSONNEL: Everybody is very pleasant, very polite and speak English fairly well. I noted that many guests were from other countries (Poland, India, Germany, Mexico, etc.) and all of them seemed content with the service they received in English. The bell staff on the first floor is really helpful. They promptly greet you, are quick to handle luggage, and gladly assist with getting in/out of your car. And, now the negative... The hotel suffers service problems: (1) Staff seems to love ordering guests around, and (2) they'd rather apologize than fix a problem. Check-in was bureaucratic and time consuming even though I was the only person checking in. The goofy "Apple Store" setup (as explained by a previous guest) for the reception desk makes it overly complicated. While they took far to long to check me in, they repeatedly insisted that I sit down and 'relax' as if I was too stupid to know what what posture is comfortable for me. Tip #1 to Andaz: Check in does not need to be a drawn out process - just swipe my card and give me a key. The restaurant service at the Tavern (the main restaurant) was at times stunningly awkward and at times excellent. The tendency to never return with the tea, coffee, water, etc. was annoying. Other times they'd return to top off the beverage just a minute after they had last done it. It was if nobody quite knew who was supposed to follow through on that simple task. Tip #2 to Andaz: Pouring beverages should not need management coordination. They also had big problems solving simple snafus. I came to the restaurant with the hotel's reservation confirmation, yet the restaurant didn't know about it. They apologized. I was left standing there. After several minutes I had to ask what was happening. They apologized that they didn't have our reservation. I was left standing there. I asked to know their suggested solution. They looked shocked that I expected them to solve their mistake. After a flurry of telephone calls they suggested a table at the nearly empty bar next door. That was fine with us, and they said they'd immediately prepare our table. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, and now quite perturbed, I asked the status. The new clerk informed me that they didn't have our reservation and apologized. I asked about the table in the nearly empty bar. She was clueless and made another of flurry of telephone calls after which she said she'd check on the status of our table. She hurried off. About a minute later I followed to find her trying to set the table. I got more apologies. Tip #3 to Andaz: Apologies are a poor substitute for solutions and follow-through. The useless attendants that guard the entrance are officious and ignorant. I've never met such rude Japanese people. I assume they are nice human beings by nature, so evidently the Andaz management team thought it wise to bully guests. Tip #4 to Andaz: Your staff should helpful and polite, always. Even the useless ones directing the non-existing car traffic should assist not bully.
