Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere (Vienna, Austria) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Andaz hotels were among the first incursions by the big hospitality chains into boutique-hotel territory, and they’re the strongest examples of a hotel that offers the best of both worlds: the consistent standards and hard-won expertise of a chain with the stylistic freedom and aesthetic personality of an independent. Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere is the group’s first in Austria, its fourth in Europe, and it’s a surprisingly forward-looking hotel, given its history-laden setting." - Tablet Hotels

I had a very pleasant stay here, the hotel is modern and comfortable. As a Globalist, I was upgraded in advance to an Andaz Suite. There does appear to be 2 versions of this suite, one that has a door between the bedroom and living room, and the one that I was in, which was a corner room that didn’t have the separation. I also had a welcome amenity of macaroons waiting for me in the room, which was a nice touch. The room was spacious and is very well maintained. The bed was on the firmer side, but comfortable, the pillows were quite flat though, so I had to triple up. The TV can swivel to face the couch or the bed. The train station and tracks are right outside the window, however you can hear none of it because the soundproofing of the room is exceptional. The curtains, sheers and blackout shades are all motorized, and there is a master light switch to turn everything off from the bed. The toilet is split from the bathroom and is by itself near the entryway, the shower and bathtub are both quite large. One of the Andaz brand standards is having a free mini bar, but unfortunately what ends up happening is that it doesn’t get stocked very well. That’s no different here as the mini bar only contained water, a juice and a wafer bar. Globalist breakfast is a buffet with a small a la carte menu you can order from. It’s fine both in variety and quality, but nothing to write home about.

Wonderful stay at the Andaz with decent transportation options to the city. Location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the Belvedere Palace, but a bit more of a walk to the city center. We took a tram for a short trip to the Christmas market at the Schönbrunn Palace.||||Breakfast at the Eugen21 was amazing, and I heard so many good things about the rooftop bar, but we unfortunately did not have time to visit. ||||The rooms and hotel are decorated with beautiful art that makes the hotel seem special. I especially liked the art display in front of the elevators on my floor. ||||Was upgraded to a suite as a Globalist, the room was quite spacious. We also enjoyed the free minibar with the snacks. ||||Overall we enjoyed a great stay at the hotel.

We stayed at the Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere with our family, booking both a suite and a deluxe room. We arrived quite early, around 9 AM, after a long-haul flight with our toddler. Although the official check-in time was 2 PM, the wonderful front desk lady Iryna immediately understood our situation and kindly arranged for us to check into our suite right away while the other room was being prepared. Her thoughtfulness and professionalism truly set the tone for our stay. The suite itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable exactly what you’d expect from a luxury property. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options and excellent service from the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay pleasant. The location is peaceful yet convenient, within walking distance of Belvedere Palace and close to transport links for exploring the rest of Vienna. Overall, this hotel stands out for its modern design, large and stylish rooms, delicious breakfast, and above all, its amazing staff. A special thanks again to Iryna at the front desk she truly made our stay one of the best we’ve had anywhere in Austria. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for top-notch comfort and hospitality in Vienna!

Our family travels often and stays at Hyatt properties around the world, but our recent experience at Andaz Vienna am Belvedere truly stood out as one of the best. From the moment we arrived, Veronica at the front desk went above and beyond. We had a mix-up with our room selection and occupancy, but Veronica handled everything with such professionalism, warmth, and genuine care that it instantly set the tone for the entire stay. She quickly recognized the situation and upgraded us to a beautiful suite — spacious, modern, and perfect for our family. The kids were over the moon! The suite was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and full of those small details that make Andaz properties feel special. Beyond the stunning rooms and stylish design, what truly separates this property is the team’s hospitality and heart. Every interaction felt personal, every request handled with a smile. Veronika exemplifies what makes Hyatt’s service philosophy exceptional — attentive, human, and deeply professional. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return. Andaz Vienna has officially become one of our favorite Hyatt stays in Europe. If you’re traveling to Vienna, don’t hesitate — this property, and especially Veronika, will make your stay unforgettable.

Stayed here with my family in the deluxe suite. We had a wonderful time and loved everything about the hotel. The room was spacious and sparkling clean. The location is very convenient. The service was wonderful. If I have to nitpick the breakfast buffet can have a bit more variety. The ordering options are great and delicious tho. Will stay here again when we visit Vienna next time.

A really nice hotel and easy to get to from the airport. Room was spacious and clean with a really comfortable bed and large shower. Amenities provided in the bathroom were meagre. Room was light and airy and good to work in. Dinner was tasty and food pretty good. Gym is medium sized with a good selection of machines and free weights. Check in efficient and staff helpful. ||Long queue at breakfast. When seated I was asked if I would like a coffee and gave my selection. 20 minutes later I had finished my breakfast and no coffee. I raised this with a waitress who advised that it would come but they were short staffed. It never did and I left 5 minutes later. Overall the breakfast was pretty awful. Production line buffet, awful coffee from machines, very average food and not worth the cost, understaffed and poor service - very poor for an Andaz branded hotel. I might return but would advise against the breakfast - it is not worth the price for the quality.

We stayed for one night at Andaz for its close proximity to the central train station as we were planning day trips to the surrounding area via trains. It is most definitely convenient being able to walk to the station within 10 minutes. ||||The hotel is relatively new so the decor and facilities are modern and quite refreshing. After staying at many classical hotels, this was truly a breath of fresh air we enjoyed. ||||The room itself is very stylish and comfortable. It offers floor to ceiling windows overlooking the park and other buildings in the vicinity. The room is very well designed and is modern and stylish.||||The fitness room and sauna area are clean and inviting. They offer a great selection of gym equipment. Buffet breakfast offers ample options and the food was great. Servers were also very attentive and friendly. Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. ||||I was initially concerned about the distance from old town center as it seemed far on the map. But I ran around the area and found that it was only a little over a mile from the border of old town. ||||Being a runner, I truly love running at the park across from the hotel that leads to the Belvedere palace and its garden nearby, That route further led me to the main street that forms the perimeter of old town and to the nearby canal. It was quite an amazing run with lots of amazing architectures and sights. I found myself stopping to take pictures throughout my run. This is definitely a great place to stay in Vienna for its convenience and decent facilities and services. Highly recommended!

My favorite hotel in Vienna — and truly one of my favorites in the world. I’m not particularly fond of the Hyatt chain as a whole, but this property is an entirely different universe. The service is impeccable, warm, and genuinely attentive. The rooms are crafted with concentrated style: every detail is intentional, elegant, and quietly luxurious. I return here the way one returns home. I visit Vienna at least five times a year, and I always stay at Andaz. The parking deserves a special mention — spacious, exceptionally convenient, with direct access to the reception. Everything is designed with that unmistakable Austrian precision, where comfort feels effortless and natural. Every room I’ve stayed in has been deeply comfortable. I’ve tried different categories over the years; this time I stayed in a suite overlooking the park — the windows also face the street, yet the entire space remains remarkably quiet. The soundproofing is outstanding. You can practically hear yourself blink. Even the nearby railway line disappears into silence — I once had a room facing the tracks and still slept perfectly. I genuinely have no idea whether there’s a spa or a gym here — Vienna is full of museums, and I’ve never had time to check. But the quality of rest and sleep I get in this hotel, wrapped in absolute silence, makes it my number one choice in Vienna. I sincerely hope they preserve this level of service for many years to come.

Yelp
We checked in here twice, leaving for a couple days in between to visit Budapest. They allowed us to leave our bags and it was a short walk to the train station. Very convenient! We were also welcomed (and welcomed back) very warmly. Levah was so sweet and attentive having sent our bags up to our room when we came back a second time and even writing us a welcome note with a gift! We had the breakfast which was buffet style with a nice variety of items and fresh made dishes. The lobby and rooftop bars were also both nice with plenty of options to choose from. We'll definitely stay here again! Thanks so much for welcoming us so nicely!

Yelp
It was a great stay and now see why they were awarded Michelin pin. Room was very comfortable with great views. Breakfast and service was very good as well. They gave us a custom chocolate dessert that look like rocks in the room which was a nice touch. Overall a very pleasant experience and this coming from a Hyatt globalist who's stayed at many Hyatt hotels around the world.

Yelp
We stayed on July 21 for two nights. It was my first time in Vienna and the hotel. The room was very spacious and nicely designed. The staff are very professional, friendly and exceptional. The breakfast was very delicious and amazing. There were so many selection. We ate at their restaurant and had also room service. The hotel is very close to the city center, Belvedere Palace and the Arsenal Museum. It was one pleasant experience staying at this hotel. The experience is simply excellent. Thanks to Philip, Mustafa and Yarren of the Front Desk. Definitely coming back to this hotel and highly recommend this.

Yelp
Excellent hotel option if you want to be out of the city center and close to the train station. I am slightly biased with my Hyatt loyalty but this might be one of the better Andaz hotels that I've stayed at. Here's what you should know: 1. Close to a train station stop and the main station in Vienna. It made hopping on public transport to get around the city as well as to other cities such a breeze. 2. Coffee and tea in the lobby to keep everyone going 3. Clean and spacious rooms with some of the most comfortable beds for the Hyatt chains 4. Excellent views of the Belvedere!

Yelp
Great hotel. Nicely situated next to public transit and a nice walk to many different attractions and the central area in Vienna. Room was very quiet and comfortable with a nice view. Shower was awesome. I'd definitely stay here again whether for business or pleasure.

Yelp
"Hello O-o, Vienna calling..." (repeat) ahhh muss the theme song! Stayed here 2 nights in early May 2023. The upgraded suite was amazing, new and well lit. Location is not super central but 3 metro stops to old town. The train station is only about 5 min walk away. We arrived at the station from Vienna airport and took the train from here to Prague, very convenient. The social hours was a nice touch. It was 4-6pm at the restaurant. They offered wines and apple strudel. We met a couple expats who were traveling with their dog (dog friendly!) and had a nice chat. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Services were outstanding, from front desk staff to restaurant staff to spa staff. It was really cool they even displayed train schedules inside the elevator. Close to some tourist attractions covered by the museum pass and we enjoyed a nice strolls before leaving the city. Too bad the rooftop lounge opens from 4pm so we didn't get to go up and take some photos before leaving town.

Yelp
Such a wonderful stay oh my goodness! I even had a chance to have dinner while I was here. The rooms, the service, the food -everything was splendid. Definitely stay here if you come to Vienna!

Yelp
The best hotel stay. Super friendly service (let's be friends everyone) on top of elegant professionalism. Fresh and delicious breakfast. Modern, sexy decor and very clean overall. The room was so comfortable, beautiful and cozy, I didn't want to leave! Within walking distance to a lot of Christmas markets, food, and bus station. Did I mention the espresso machines and snacks in the room? Highly highly recommend. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Came for vacation and we were glad we chose this hotel! Rooms (5 star): Clean and modern. Bathroom floor can be heated! Nice rain shower. Cool art work and tech in the room to control everything. Very nice upscale hotel! They even have free happy hour from 5-7pm with free wine and small snacks. Location: not in the main city area but with Uber it's about 10-15 minutes and between 7-10 euros. The tram stop is a short block away which you can also take everywhere. It is walkable to the major train station. Staff (4 stars) Everyone was nice and helpful but I would suggest going over details of how to get into the city and sights to see more. We were told the tram is nearby but nothing about which stops to look for or how to get tickets for the tram or about day passes. So we just found Uber to be easier! Gym (5 stars): Pretty much everything you need for a great work out! Cardio, weights, Cables, squat rack, and a great view. Rooftop bar (5 stars) Nice view and comfy seating! It was raining so we couldn't sit outside but indoor seats are against the window so you still get a great view! They do have heat lamps outside though. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel as long as you don't mind being a short drive or tram ride away from the main area. Most of the other hotels are older with smaller outdated rooms, so for a new upscale hotel this is the way to go.

Yelp
I have stayed at several 5 star hotels in Vienna, and this one has been the best. The front desk staff were friendly, attentive, accommodating, professional, and unobtrusive. The room and workout area were spotlessly clean, modern, and well equipped. They didn't charge for bottled water and provided welcome Manner Schnitten. The workout room included free weights and a rowing machine, and the room's bathroom had a fantastic separate tub and multi-head shower. The style of the hotel is not an approximation of the past or future, but an embodiment of the now, and it extends to the rooms, which makes the rooms feel special and not cookie-cutter corporate bland like most hotels.

Yelp
Amazing service. I twice needed service that required extending beyond the normal duties and the men and women at the front desk did so. First - I required a SIM card on a weekend, surprisingly a difficult ask outside of the city center with the new law that requires govt iD in order to register. They spent 20+ minutes calling around to find a place that was open and a backup. Unfortunately neither could activate it in store with an international identification but next door to one of the locations was a place that could and the other places directed me to other places that would be able to. The staff at the Andaz did the best they could to help me in my quest. Hopefully in the future management will allow them to sell, but more importantly register and activate SIM cards as a service to guests much like they'll change money on request. The other request involved late night food. After enjoying a delicious club sandwich off of the late night menu the first night (the only thing appetizing to me on the list with my weird dietary restrictions (no shellfish, pork, mango, mollusk, fresh cheese)) I wanted a change for a late night meal. A man at the front desk whose name I totally forgot to write down, helped me install the local delivery app and entered the address and arranged for the driver to deliver to my room (escorted by staff). This was above and beyond what many hotels have done and truly appreciated. I didn't try the breakfast but enjoyed the funkiness of the room. The desk was functional the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the open closet, particularly the built in shoe trees. My number one issue was that the TV didn't rotate to allow for viewing out of the lounging chair in the King Deluxe corner took I was assigned. Hopefully this is something that can be remedied as watching from bed isn't necessarily great sleep hygiene. Really a very cool place -- I will return next time I'm in Vienna and don't want to be in the middle of it all. To the team here at the Andaz - great job! You made me almost stay an additional two nights though the call of the PH in the city center was a bit too much to resist.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best hotels I have ever rested my head at. Service, comfort, cleanliness; the value was extraordinary.

Yelp
I booked this hotel for one night at the end of our trip as it was close to the train station. It's new, it's different, it's interesting in design. It's very quiet, we didn't hear street noise or anything from the hallway or other rooms. Our room was large enough that you could have 2 suitcases open if needed. The bathroom floor is heated, there's a huge shower and an excellent hair dryer. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of lighting (poor lighting for make up application in the bathroom due to shadows) & options to plug in your gadgets for charging. There's complimentary wine/snacks in the lobby bar from 5 to 7. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. We didn't have breakfast due to an early departure for the airport. It's about 5 minutes to walk to the Belvedere, home of a great art collection including many Klimt paintings. Would recommend & also try Andaz in other cities based on this stay.
