Andbeyond Bateleur Camp was without a doubt the best place we have every stayed. With endless views of the Maasai Mara, this hotel is nestled in a beautiful surrounding and provides 5-star service day-in, day-out. ||The rooms are impeccable and are the epitome of luxury, complete with outdoor terrace, and a beautiful outdoor shower. The food is absolutely outstanding, with creative and delicious options provided for all 3 meals. There is even a pool where you can relax between game drives. ||The camp employs local Maasai tribespeople which is a nice touch and adds a local flair. ||This place is a must stay for all safari adventures in the maasai mara. It is highly exclusive and provides a safe haven retreat after long game drives. There is nowhere else i'd stay in the maasai mara! ||A special shoutout to Richard the manager who made our trip very memorable, to "Little Joe" our housekeeper who added lots of nice and special touches to our room and stay. Huge shout out to Nicholas (Nick) our amazing safari guide and to Erick his intern who provided boundless knowledge and safety during all our game drives. and for making every minute fun, engaging and magical. We can't wait to come back!

In the heart of the beautiful Maasai Mara reserve. Wilson, our game drive guide, took us out multiple times a day. We saw hundreds of elephants, lions and cubs, giraffes, cheetahs, crocs, hippos, birds. Every day was a new adventure. Food was spectacular. It was magic falling asleep each night to roaring lions. Simply incredible. Wilson, Grace, Lazarus, Lewis all made our stay so comfortable and magical.

We spent 3 nights/ 4 days in this camp, And it was truly stunning. I love the little things. Like a welcome note, personalized welcoming you to the camp, and coming back after an excursion and finding a hot bath already drawn. Waiting for someone to sit in it. The people and the food were wonderful, I'm a picky eater and they always had something that was delicious for me. This was the last stop on our tour and was so glad it ended. Was such splendor and fun. Highly recommend it.

Bateleur is a must stay. Every detail was perfect. This was truly a luxurious yet down to earth experience for the discriminating traveler.||||From the moment we landed at the Kichwa Tembo airstrip, I knew I had made a perfect choice. Following a short drive to the camp, we were welcomed by more of the very professional and warm staff and treated to a performance of native songs and dances.||||The rooms were beyond my extremely discriminating expectations. I had previously stayed at Elsa's Kopje and Sasaab so was a little nervous about going to a tented camp--but it was perfect. Every detail from the down comforter to the plush feather pillows--the mattress was the most comfortable that I slept on in Kenya, including Giraffe Manor and beach resorts. This was as pleasurable a stay as I have had in any 5 star hotel (Four Seasons, Dorchester, One and Only, etc.).||||The food was delicious. Kudos to the Chef and our extremely knowledgeable and courteous waiter Boniface.||||I save the best for last--the game drives were the experience of a lifetime. We saw every animal that you would want to see and more. Our guide Douglas was thoroughly knowledgeable and should be requested as your guide.||||Any questions please feel free to email me at 212luxtravels@gmail.com||||Definitely visit Bateleur!!!||||Rachel in NYC

Staying at andBeyond Masai Mara felt like stepping into a beautifully curated film set—every detail was exquisite, every moment unforgettable. This resort is the epitome of luxury safari living, seamlessly blending elegance, authenticity, and world-class service.||Our suite was vast and impeccably designed, with refined, tasteful decor that exudes old world luxury. The bathroom alone deserves its own spotlight: a rustic hammered brass tub, dual vanities, and antique vintage hardware that looked like it came straight out of an interior design magazine (and no doubt cost a pretty penny too lol ) . Every corner felt thoughtfully curated, creating a space that was both indulgent and serene.||The service? Impeccable. Our private butler brought us fresh coffee each morning, served on a gleaming silver tray with a single rose in a stunning vase—small details that made us feel so genuinely cared for. Cocktails could be ordered at any time, from anywhere on the property, and were delivered with a smile—Lewis crafted some of the best we’ve ever had. Meals were beautifully presented, always à la carte (no buffets, thankfully!), and each dish was as delicious as it was artfully prepared.||One magical night, the team organized a private dinner for us at the adjacent camp—which happened to be unoccupied—and it felt like a scene from a movie. An entire camp, candlelit, just for us. Pure magic.||The warmth and hospitality of the team left a lasting impression. Esther quickly felt like family—her conversations at every meal made us feel truly at home. Richard greeted us daily with the most infectious, booming laugh that instantly lifted our spirits. And our safari guides? Absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable, kind, and passionate, they took us on unforgettable game drives where we saw four of the Big Five—including rhinos right by the camp entrance and an entire pride of lions lounging and grooming. No leopards, unfortunately—but everything else more than made up for it.||The hot air balloon safari andBeyond arranged for us was one of the most thrilling, breathtaking experiences of our lives. Floating over the Mara at sunrise is something we will never forget. And the picnic breakfasts in the bush were the perfect touch of luxury-meets-adventure.||What sets this resort apart is not just the high-end touches—it’s the thoughtfulness. Daily laundry service was included (a dream on safari), transfers to and from the airstrips were flawlessly organized, and everything ran like clockwork. Yes, it’s a splurge—but every single cent is reflected in the experience. You don’t just stay here—you live out a dream.

This place can only be described as the first class of lodges!! From the airstrip pick up to the food to the service to the room and everything inbetween this place screams 7* luxury!! Let me break it down: We were gifted this place for two nights for our wedding and chose to time it so we celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We landed and were greeted with very friendly staff, mimosas and some snacks! Our luggage was put into the cars and we headed to the camp. Greeted by every single staff member, and introduced to the people looking after us! Shout out to Richard, Joel, Francis and our amazing Chef! We sat at our table for breakfast facing the open plains and started with coffee and tea plus a food tray with many jam options, granola, a green juice and orange juice a cheese plate! Then we ordered our main meal which was fabulous! After a great brekky we were shown our room which has everything you can think of… free laundry, a fully stocked bar with everything you need from high end spirits, wines, tea coffee etc. his and hers sinks, a bath tub, outdoor shower and so much more! Our game drives were super, Lorna our driver drove far and wide to find us great sightings. The cars are very comfortable and come with a cooler filled with drinks! The only negative is for photographers this car isn’t ideal as it’s not low so those eye level photos are possible! It’s also not got much space to flee expensive lenses or bags safely. But otherwise really good! Our bush breakfasts were hot - literally she cooked us eggs in the wild! I’ve never had that anywhere else… and we weren’t close to the camp! The other thing I’d say, in April is mara triangle has very long grass so finding game is difficult! It’s not a flaw to the camp but for a regular mara visitor, at this time I would stay in the greater mara! But I’d come back and enjoy the camp and all it has to offer over again! Our food was spectacular - the chef was so talented! Every meal is individually plated and served! And if you don’t like something just ask him and he cooks what you want!! I am leaving a few kgs heavier! Our service staff - Joel, Francis Richard and the whole team, made this trip perfect! Every need every whim was catered to! And they remember the little things, sparking or still, wine preferences, coffee preferences so I felt like they knew us and were two steps ahead every time! If you’re looking for the mara experience with a handful of luxury then this is where you need to come. Once in a lifetime experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you mingi sana to the team - we will see you again soon!

This place is unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed - not just in Africa, but ever. We stayed at Bateleur North for the last leg of our honeymoon, and even just walking into the lobby, you’re blown away by both the view and the extraordinarily decorated lobby. We were greeted by the whole staff and felt so welcomed the entire time. Standout service came from Grace, Salim, Joseph, John, Esther and our fun, hilarious & super knowledge guide, Wilson. ||Plus, the food! Truly incredible, from breakfast to dessert, and they always ensure you have PLENTY. Chefs Jackson and Simon can literally make anything. They told us to pick what we wanted for our private dinner the last night and we said tacos to which they responded by making the best freaking braised beef tacos I’ve ever had, no joke. They make legit magic happen in the Bateleur kitchen. If they ever read this review, I am still hoping to get the Swahili Chicken and garden soup recipes!! Pleaseeee :)

Bateleur Camp was the most special place we have ever stayed in, in our entire lives. From the absolutely incredible food prepared fresh daily by Chef Jackson (who took requests and even shared recipes of our favorite dishes), to the unbelievable staff (Lazerus, Kumai, and Richard) who went above and beyond to make sure our every need was attended to, and of course to the outstanding daily game drives with our incredible tour guide Akatch. We saw breathtaking scenery, an abundance of animals, and were consistently impressed with Akatch’s knowledge and ability to seek out and spot wildlife. The camp was exceptionally well appointed with luxurious tents, beautiful dining areas, and pools. Small touches will forever stand out in our mind to the smiling faces and songs that greeted us, to the coffee served through a small window during our wake up, to special celebrations with the Masai people. One night we had mentioned that we saw a picture online of eating dinner down by the pool and asked if that was an option. The next day, the team surprised us by setting up the most magical lantern lit dinner in the middle of the forest - it was one of the most special nights of our lives. We could not recommend this camp more, and definitely will be recommending to friends and family in the future!
