andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

LOVED or time at Kichwa Tembo. Service is impeccable, view and location are outstanding, food is wonderful, and the camp is beautiful. Our staff, Josiah and Sofia were amazing and their service was over the top. Also grateful to service from Richard, Peter, Moses, & Solomon. They made our experience one to remember. Highly recommend the bush dinner, we had an amazing evening under the stars. From beginning to end, our stay at Kichwa Tembo was perfect.

Unbelievable Experience! |Only 2 days into our 4 night stay here as the start of our honeymoon. |Cannot praise this place enough. Had 3 drives so far and seen so many beautiful creatures. Dennis the guide is superb. Life long memories made already. Food . Service and attention to detail is impeccable! |It’s paradise !

This was my husband and I's second stay at an &Beyond property and our first time in Kenya. As expected, &Beyond did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Chef Judy made us two special meals of ugali and beef stew when we asked if we could try the local cuisine. Our waitress, Cate, was so beyond wonderful and kind. Puya, our safari guide made sure we saw all the things we were hoping to see and took us to the far reaches of the park along the Tanzania border. We took a nature hike with Alex and Gibson where we had beautiful views from the top that overlooked the Mara. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. What a wonderful stay we had and cannot wait to stay at another &Beyond again property again.

Our family of four (kids ages 7 and 9) stayed two nights at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone on safari ant Maasai Mara. ||When we arrived, we were greeted by staff with a welcoming ceremony song and dance. They brought the kids in and we got some great photos/video with the kids and staff interacting. They immediately took us to lunch and provided a table. It was buffet style, and my only complaint would be that they did not have the same selection as other lodges we stayed at. However, all of the food that they had was very good!||After lunch, staff took us down to our tents. We had two tents as each only accommodates two people. The tents were very nice, though ours did not have a view. It was a pretty walk down to the tents, but at night, they escort you due to concerns about baboons being aggressive. We never saw any animals on the walk, but it was nice to have someone there.||The bar area was very nice and a great place to relax before/after dinner. The first night they had members of the Maasai tribe there who talked about their traditions and performed several traditional dances/songs. It was a very neat experience and the kids were pulled up to participate. Most drinks were included with our stay and we enjoyed the ambiance.||Our trip was partly for our anniversary and the second night they came out and sang, bringing a cake for us to share. They were so sweet and we loved seeing how they celebrating.||When we left, the staff was, again, there to send us off with singing and dancing. They were all very attentive and sweet with the kids. We loved our stay and would certainly come back if visit the park again!

5/5 it was amazing ! Everyone is so friendly and helpfully. Really recommend Jaffa a your guide. Saw all the big 5 animals and went in October. Food is amazing and we had a family room and it was perfect. Lots of space. Make sure to do the day safari as you have the best chance to see all the animals.

A truly amazing experience - most guests flew in from Nairobi but we were collected by our guide from sense of Africa from a hotel in Nairobi and whilst the drive was 5hrs to the camp it was am amazing experience seeing Kenya from the road - we really feel its cheating to fly in and miss out on all the beauty and culture of Kenya.||The Andbeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is exceptional in all aspects, food, service, location, buildings, views, comfort, location, and people. ||We were greeted by a lovely song and when we left we have another song which really added to the experience.||We got to see all the big 5 animals and would 100% go back and hope do so in the future.||We are ow looking at other "and beyond" hotels as the standard was so high.

Our guide - Wilson, was the highlight of our trip. He is a very warm, patient & friendly person! The airstrip and proximity of the reserve is super close to the lodge & was perfect. Our tent was lovely and secluded however, I think some aspects look a bit tired & well used (tent itself and furniture). A recommendation would be to also include some basic toiletries in the room (toothbrush, vanity set etc). Wake up calls, coffee to the room in the morning were lovely details that added to the experience. The souvenir shop had loads of stuff and was the best one out of the 3 hotels we stayed. General service from all staff was perfect. The food was ok - we expected abit more for a 5* hotel.

Saw tons of animals, tent was amazing, staff amazing, guides excellent, food plentiful, atmosphere great, location on edge of the park so super convenient. Really nice gift shop. Greeting at airstrip was amazing. Packed safari lunch very special. I will visit again, no need to go anywhere else.
