andBeyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp

Xaranna is a dream camp, everything you can imagine and more. We spent three absolutely wonderful nights. The safaris are amazing, the tented rooms are just perfect, food is wonderful, the personnel is really very nice and helpful. |Our ranger Amos and our tracker Paul were great. A special thanks to Amos who invited our 16 year old daughter to join him at the front seat of the Jeep and she had an amazing experience. |Everything was perfect, I cannot think of any negatives. Definitely recommend it

This was probably one of our favorite stays of any vacation we’ve been on! We have been on three safaris (all with AndBeyond) and by far had the best game viewing here at Xaranna. EQ and Tollen (guides) were absolutely perfect, making each game drive exciting with their expert tracking and knowledge. We also got to experience a boat ride in the traditional style mokoro boat, led by expert Morris, which was really once in a lifetime. It was such a treat to see Judy at each meal and try the new juices she was making. The staff’s performance of traditional song and dance during one of our dinners was such a special thing to experience - we felt so honored to be here. We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful setting for this luxurious tented lodge. From fully furnished lodge, individual pools, comfortable lounge all is available for a relaxing stay. Plenty of activities (safaris, boat, pagoda, ...) Delicious food and wonderful service complete the offer.

There are not enough words on this planet to capture how wonderful Xaranna is. My spouse and I went there as part of our AndBeyond trip in Botswana and while we loved the other places we stayed, Xaranna, at which we stayed three nights, blew everything else out of the water. The staff were extraordinary (I cried when I left! So sad to leave them!), the animals beyond words, and the accommodations beautiful, comfortable, and opulent. ||We loved it so much we are going back!

One of those trips of a lifetime. We’d been planning for months to celebrate our friend’s 40th birthday. The other couple had been to Africa before though not to Botswana. Andbeyond handled everything with great communication and guidance throughout, Shout out to Janet who assisted with planning of our trip. We were very impressed with the logistics and how easy going through passports and customs was. After a quick overnight at the Johannesburg airport hotel we were off via smaller plane to the area of the delta. Within 45 minutes we were at the lodge and greeted by a lively group. We were treated to snacks and a drink and before you know it whisked off to our first safari. Our guides Equator and Tollon were professional and friendly. They immediately put us at ease (“just stay int he trucks.” And enthusiastically started our quest to see every animal possible as well as many birds. They were amazingly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and made our outings interesting and fun. |The physical plant of the lodge was perfectly suited. Our accommodations were very comfortable. It was winter there so mornings and evenings were quite cold but mid-day was warmer. Every cabin had a plunge pool. There was plenty of room and the bathrooms were really very nice and included and outdoor shower as well as indoors. The fro was great and there were two chefs that kept all meals delicious and interesting and of the area. Our butler was named Judy and she was one of a kind. Apparently she has worked for the company for almost 30 years. |The schedule was busy. Each day started at 530AM and we were on the trail by 615-630. Back for lunch around 1130 then free time until 4 for snacks and back at it. That really is the way to do it. We were able to see all but two of the animals we were looking for except for pangolin and aardvark. I really loved our experience and look forward to other curated adventures from andbeyond.

Could not fault Xaranna. It was the most incredible safari stay we have ever done. The accommodation was fantastic, making you really feel at one with nature. Our butler Diana could not have done more for us to make our stay special. It was so nice to have her greet us every morning for breakfast, when we returned from game drivers and when we had dinner. Priscah was the house keeper and the room was always meticulously presented in the with lots of lovely little surprises. The highlight has to be the game drives and the wild life. Amos and Lenks were the most incredible guides. They could not have done more to try and find the animals we wanted to see. And they never let us down. We had such lovely morning and evening drinks stops in the most special surroundings. The experience was topped off with a dugout canoe experience along the water ways. And finally the whole team of staff they had there. They are all just incredible people. The chefs cooked us local food at our request and it was all amazing and the waiter staff couldn’t do more to ensure you were as comfortable as possible.

We've just arrived back from 3 nights at Xaranna. What a phenomenal experience. Such a lovely chilled camp.||We were very lucky to have the camp to ourselves for 2 nights and they could not have made us feel more special. ||The tents are gorgeous. So luxurious and the sounds and smells of the surroundings at night will stay with me for a very long time.||The food was exceptional. Even for my daughter who is a very fussy eater. They catered for her every wish. ||We had elephants and hyena in camp during our stay which, whilst it sounds a bit scary, was actually such an experience. ||It wasn't as cold as I imagined it would be for peak winter. A T-shirt, hoodie and maybe a jacket were totally fine.||The mosquitoes were annoying but they gave us lots of repellant - I would recommend long trousers and thick socks though!||Can not fault anything about this camp. Would thoroughly recommend .

Possibly the greatest safari experience of our lives! Beautiful location, wonderful staff and well adorned rooms. Would recommend this AndBeyond lodge as one of the best we have stayed at and the Okavango Delta is one of the best locations in Africa to see unspoiled wildlife in their natural environment. Late Sept/early Oct is dry and hot, but viewing is great!
