We visited here after watching a video of their "Spice Bag Fish & Chips". 100% recommend this place, nice crispy batter, spicy but not too spicy. All their fish is fresh and you can tell by the way it tastes. The size of the helping was big and we were full after eating it. We will be back again and we drove 110km each way for this meal, next time I think I'm going to try the scampi as that also looked delicious 😋.

Really excellent fish and chips. We had spice box which was nice enough but the haddock fish and chips was such good and flavoursome well cooked fish that we preferred that. Chips tasty and not at all greasy. Even the mushy peas were more like gourmet smashed garden peas than typical vinegary mushy peas and a nice surprise. It’s on the pricy side for takeaway but genuinely a level above the average so worth it IMHO.

Wow what a chipper 😍👌😌 after seeing a video on instagram this was on our must eat places. I am generally not a big eater of spice box but I tried it here and omg its amazing everything is so fresh and well made I will go back and back again! Thank you and the vibes and overall experience was lovely. Would happily pay more €€€

Visited last night, I had the fish burger, my partner had the ling and chips. Lady that served us was very nice, offered great advice. Can honestly say the food was delicious, so fresh and good portion size. Whole order came to €25, that included 2 Cokes, we thought that was very good price for the quality of the food. Will definitely be back

Awesome little place. I’m from Texas and use to spicy and typical American/Tex-Mex food and thus have been having a hard time adjusting to Irelands food culture. This place was the first location that was actually good and I really enjoyed their food and service. The staff were really kind and interacted with us rather than ignoring us like some other locations have. This is a nice spot if you’re worn out from trying to find some decent food that matches what’s typical from the states.

Exceptional! We were unwelcomed at The Moorings and we were so glad we were as we went next door and discovered heaven- delicious fresh fish, a warm welcome and where on earth would you get a vase of Solomon’s Seal cut flowers in a fish and chip shop?! More of a takeaway but small bar to eat at. Also great wines A gem of a spot Well done everyone!

Called in here at 7PM bank holiday Monday and I was so disappointed. Got lukewarm chips and fish that contained more batter than fish, certainly not award winning potential. I was the only customer present and nobody arrived whilst I was there. I really should have gone back to tell them the issue but it was raining. Hope they can up their game for others but I won't be back. The staff on duty were nice, maybe the cook was not up to the standards of their awards.

Fabulously tasty fish and chips. Visited on a busy sunny Sunday in June 2025. Highly recommend their Haddock - such flavour and so filling. Lots of other items on menu too. Food was placed into a box, wrapped and sealed with stickers. Easy to unwrap. Box contained a large and small piece of beautiful haddock in crispy batter, accompanied by chips and sides of mushy peas, tartar sauce and a wedge of fresh lemon. Restaurant quality food in a take away is how I’d describe it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Once upon a time, Eunice Power (founder) set out to elevate the humble chipper and by this experience I would say it is mission accomplished, Eunice. To describe this place as a chipper actually does it a disservice. Although the place is small, it is possible to eat in, however it is at a breakfast bar type arrangement. Condiments and wooden utensils are available and there’s even somewhere to wash hands after your meal. Definitely a step above the usual chipper. I will definitely be back for more. Saw scampi on the menu last time so I’ll be having some of that please! Update: 8/7/2025 visited with family and tried their scampi. All I can say is - delicious!! Cooked to perfection, in a light breadcrumb (perhaps panko but not sure). I tried them with the spicy sauce that accompanied my wife’s chicken goujons and it elevated them to another level. If ordering again I’d request this sauce instead of tartar or mushy peas. Only negative was inconsistency in quality of chips. We had four chip portions in our order and only one was correctly cooked. The remainder were oily to varying degrees, some inedible but most were acceptable and were devoured greedily. Seating outside is extremely limited. The establishment shares the quayside with another restaurant and both have picnic tables with covers provided. However, only two tables are available from And Chips and are brown in colour. The remaining are blue and belong to another restaurant. Next time I think I’ll take my camping chairs, a bottle of vino and set up overlooking the harbour. Beautiful spot.

Just voted Best Takeaway in Waterford, the dynamo that is Eunice Power has really hit the spot with this 'chipper' on the harbour in Dungarvan. First visit to Dungarvan post-lockdown, And Chips was very high on our 'must try' list. Parking outside is a challenge to put it mildly so pick up is ideally a two-person job, the picker-upper and the getaway driver. All went to plan and we repaired to the digs. My scampi and chips were excellent as was my companion's taco fries (not to be confused with the fish taco which we thought we'd ordered but heigh ho!). Chips were chunky and plentiful. No complaints. We'll definitely be back but be more specific with the taco order !

Wonderful and yummy fish & chips very tasty and fresh! The staff is nice and the place is really great. I would recommend to eat your fish & chips from the edge of the port!

My husband and son visited this takeaway recently and were very disappointed with the food. Chips were not what they expected n the fish was deep fried with too much batter. I was there the following week got beef burger and chips. Chips appeared not to be cooked adequately and although the burger was nice I thought it was outrageously priced at €6. Chicken burger was €7.50 which is too dear. Chips were €3. Value for money is not high on the cards here I think and generally not value for money in my opinion.
