Andelomi Forest Lodge

Hidden fees everywhere & very poor attitude I have stayed in hundreds of accommodations, and this was easily one of the worst experiences. Check-in is listed as 2–6 PM, but a late check-in fee is NOT shown before payment on Booking. Only after paying did we receive an automated message. We asked in advance and were told arriving late was “no problem” — yet on arrival we were suddenly charged R350. Breakfast is “included”, but if you eat more than two eggs, you pay extra. Each item has its own charge. The room price is just the beginning — everything else costs more. Facilities are disappointing: the “kitchen” is only a kettle and a fridge, and the hairdryer was so dirty that a tissue literally stuck to it. Staff attitude (especially one short-haired lady) was rude and confrontational. The next morning she demanded the same fee again before breakfast, ruining the day. The situation escalated so badly that police were called over a disputed fee — a first for me. To top it off, their shuttle costs R450, while nearby hotels charge around R100. If you enjoy hidden charges and arguments, this might be for you. Otherwise, avoid.

What a beautiful place. The staff, the rooms, the atmosphere and most definitely the excellent breakfast. We definitely want to return. The staff made our stay unforgettable . They are friendly , helpful and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast was superb. We loved the perfectly pouched eggs and the yummy home made jams. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time staying at Andelomi's. Bedroom was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The gardens on the premises are also well taken care of. The breakfast was amazing with a selection of options to enjoy. Wilmien is a wonderful host and we would highly recommend booking at Andelomi's. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay 😊

I usually only book four star rated accommodation but wanted to be very close to Storms River Mouth and decided to book at Andelomi Forest Lodge for one night. ||||When I called to ask whether we can put our cooler box in the room prior to check-in I was assured that it will be no problem. On arrival I was surprised with the size of the room. Our room was modern with a little seating area facing a stream. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. The room had a coffee/tea station but no fridge. The design of the room and the small touches showed that the owners took the requirements of guests into consideration when they built the rooms. There are also some little extras like tissues etc. which one does not expect at this price range.||||Staying at Storms River Village allowed us to go back to Tsitsikamma National Park the next day to do the Waterfall Hike after completing the Kayak and Lilo adventure the day before.||||We had breakfast at the property the next morning. We chose to sit outside facing the garden while enjoying our breakfast. We thought it would be a buffet breakfast but we could order eggs and we were served fresh fruit - it was beautifully presented. ||||I dealt with Brittany but the entire team seem to take pride in serving guests at this establishment. I won't hesitate to stay at Andelomi Forest Lodge again in the future.

Most enjoyable stay with very comfortable rooms and lovely lush gardens to walk around. ||Very neat and clean. TV's worked well with no problems in the rooms||Wilhelmina the chef was excellent. So friendly an delicious goodies to chose from||at breakfast. ||Dinner was also well presented with delicious food||Have been there a few times and will go again

Hands down one of the best places we've ever been too. My husband and I went there for my birthday and stayed for two nights. They went out of their way to make my birthday extra special, even upgraded us to a bigger room. We were welcomed with a smile. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful, staff is friendly, breakfast was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer everything was just beautiful. We are definitely coming back.

Great setting and wonderful hospitality from Wilmina- we were the only guests for the evening and she ensured we went off having had a great breakfast and even packed in padkos for our trip which was such a treat. The room was cosy, clean and set in a beautiful garden. Time to support local business- get out there and just do it in a safe way! Thank you for a wonderful time as we got to explore the area - must do is the walk to Stormsriver mouth!
