We stayed for 5 nights in the family room, interrupted by the Inca trail which meant that we stored our luggage, without any problems. The room is very large, on 2 levels, with one double bed. The quality of some of the beds is on the lower end with some of the mattresses worn out. The blankets are heavy, but we had that at other places, too. They provided a heater (included) which was really necessary as it was very cold. The stairs up to the second level are without a handrail. The shower head needs maintenance, it s also quite hard to keep the water inside the curtain which is too small and therefore not covering up properly. The room is located uphill, which means you ll have good training before the Inca trail. The staff is attentive to any requests. The breakfast is served in a nice area: 2 big yummy bread rolls, 2 fried eggs or muesli, jam, margarine, fresh juice, tea and coffee. Simpel, but sufficient, not for the breakfast enthusiast. Location is 10-15 min walk slightly uphill from Plaza de Armas, moderately noisy with lots of dogs barking at night. WiFi was working in our room, free parking possible in front of the hotel, tiny old TV, free airport shuttle. Overall a 7/10 experience for us.
