Anderson Bakery is one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to the pastries are so fresh , the staff are so kind and helpful and the interior is so cozy I loved it there ! . My personal favourites were the Cinnamon rolls and Pano chocolates 🤤 . I’d recommend going really early too so you get the best ones 😁 .

Omg this place was one of the best places I has danish pastries, I tried they salted caramel croissant and focaccia on the top of it one of the tiny pastries that I don’t recon the name right now, but you can see it on the picture, the place has toilets upstairs and water fountain downstairs, very important to keep hydrated specially on summer, this was one of the few places that provided free water. Would definitely recommend this place ❤️

The bakeries that stood out for us in Copenhagen were Andersen& maillard, Andersen Bakery & Hart. I don't know if there are other bakeries worth trying but these ones were all fantastic. After going to Andersen& Maillard every morning for the first three days we thought it certainly was worth trying the Anderson Bakery. The Cinnamon roll was fantastic and the rhubarb croissant was genius! It tasted like a croissant filled with custard & chunks of rhubarb with a classic British crumble on top. We loved it!

Delightful, fresh and delicious pastries & sandwiches. Coffee taste also excels here. Service is pretty slow, but worth it

Google
The pastries (most of them) and the cakes are delicious, one of my favourite bakeries in Copenhagen. The place is always quite busy, but it is worth the wait. The coffee and tebirkes could be improved though, for the price, they are not very good. Everytime I ordered coffee it was warm-ish and not well done, and tebirkes were too dry.

Love all the stuff I bought there. From the Cardamom bun, to the terbirkes, to Fastelavnsboller, to the mini Andersen Signature. Everything was delicious and probably why I put on weight during my trip to Copenhagen. Coffee was good as well. The waitresses were all lovely, kind, and patient. Wifi was good. The only downside was the price, but for the quality and service, I think it's worth it.

Google
Bakery offering a good range of pastries and desserts. I only tried some pastries and a cookie. I have to be honest I was not blown away by the pastries, the best thing I tried here was the cookie.

Google
Fantastic morning spot (go early! Queue gets long and seats go quick). We went Sunday before 9am. Danishes were fab, rhubarb croissant was fantastic (a bit sweet) and the environment is ripe for a morning fika!

Yelp
Beautiful bakery with beautiful pastries. I ordered a cardamom bun. I liked how it was slightly crispy on top and soft on the inside. My friends enjoyed their croissant and rhubarb pastry. Services were extremely friendly. Indoor and outdoor tables available.

Yelp
One of the better bakeries in Copenhagen, this place seems to have an international following. That said, pastries are excellently prepared and if substantive size.

Yelp
These are some of the best pastries I've ever had. They are unique, tasty and have great variety. I really loved their almond croissant and cheese danish in particular.

Yelp
A (literal) corner bakery near a few other restaurants, it was cute and busy with orders to go. Opt for the minis to share. Hands down the best pastry was the Spandauer with Hjemmekogt creme.

Yelp
Inspired by Japanese Baker Shunsuke Takaki's 1959 trip to Copenhagen Andersen Bakery is an offshoot of Hiroshima's Takaki Bakery Co, its name a tribute to Denmark's famous author of literary fairy tales and the location in Islands Brygge considered to be one of Copenhagen's first modern Artisan Bakeries. Embracing a philosophy to "live healthy," many of Chef Nichlas Jaime Frese's creations focused on Whole Grains without added Sugar, work begins well-before 06h30 opening as a team in the open kitchen mixes, folds, kneads and stretches a variety of Pastries and Breads. Rooted in tradition, Viennoiseries like Tebirkes and Spandauer executed with Japanese exactitude, those seeking savories will find a smattering of Salads and Sandwiches alongside Cakes, Cookies and pulled-to-order Espresso. An award winner ever since Frese joined the team in 2009, though Andersen Bakery's Cardamom Roll fails to match the version at Juno, filled-Croissants come double-baked with a good shatter whether filled with Almond Cream or Custard surrounded by assertive Rhubarb.

Yelp
Delicious pastries and coffee with friendly service. No complaints! Within 15 min walk of Marriott. Opens at 6:30 AM.

Yelp
Had the most delicious cardamom bun and pastries from this cafe! Was recommended to check this place out by my friend who lives in Copenhagen - it's her favorite bakery. The outdoor area is also super cute with a bunch of multi-colored chairs and tables. Also had a strong latte - could tell they used some good coffee beans for this. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This little bakery is delicious. We tried a sampling of pastry, sandwiches and coffee. Everything was yummy. Although it is a small shop and we had to eat outside, the staff were so friendly and helpful. It's a clear winner as a bakery

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast - tried an almond croissant, a chocolate pastry (can't recall the name), and a matcha latte. All were great, the croissant was amazing - great filling and flaky texture

Aqua H.

Yelp
The croissant is so good. Have Inside and outside table. Staff is nice. Good for foreigner.

Yelp
A Japanese owned and run bakery making Danish specialities?!?! Count me in! This place was perfect for me because they make mini sized versions of the pastries so that we could try a lot at one time. There are not many gluten free options. There was a loaf of low gluten bread for 46DKK which is reasonable. The oat latte was okay. I expected more from the matcha latte as it tasted more like milk than the earthy flavor of matcha. The space to enjoy your pastries (they have savory sandwiches too!) is wonderful. We like the upstairs next to the bookcase. More privacy there if you do not want to be bothered by all the conversations that can occur with the long cue of this bakery. The service is sweet!

Leif A.

Yelp
A bakery and cafe´ of very high quality. The best of its kind in the area of Islands Brygge, Copenhagen. That goes for everything from A to Z.

Bo B.

Yelp
They ran out of the chai and matcha lattes but their pastries are delicious. My favorite was the yuzu cake. The coconut croissant was good too.

Sheri C.

Yelp
Andersen Bakery is hands down one of the most charming and elegant bakeries in Copenhagen. The beautifully decorated pastries are like little colorful art pieces. I was imagining how the guests would ooh and aah if I brought a selection of these impressive treats to a dinner party, or a delicious cake to someone's birthday. I'd be the guest of honor! We tasted the Cardamom Bun and Rhubarb Bun. The rhubarb one was perhaps a bit too sweet for my liking, but the texture and fluffiness of the cardamom bun was to perfection. I dream to go back and try all pastries!

Yelp
Staying across the. harbor at the Marriott and it is a short walk to the bakery. Worth every step. You can smell the deliciousness a block away. Inside too many choices. It all looks fabulous. Nothing written in English but the staff is so friendly and helpful. It we weren't leaving today we would return often.

Yelp
Andersen has an interesting story. It is originally a bakery chain from Japan, where it has been incredibly successful. Having been to the original Andersen bakeries in Japan, I was excited to try a Danish location. Unfortunately, it was thoroughly disappointing. We tried several pastries including the croissant, coconut croissant, spandauer, and cinnamon bun. The only one we could finish was the cinnamon bun, which was OK but nothing special. The croissants and spandauer were dry and bland. There are too many other good bakeries in Copenhagen to make this worth a visit.

Olivia C.

Yelp
Not the cheapest bakery around, but worth a try if you're in the area and are craving for some sweet goodness. Price: compared to my local bakery, most popular options (for example, spandauer) is 5-10kr more here, but I decided to try it nonetheless. For the extra cost, I wouldn't say it's worth going out of the way for. They have plenty of options, so a little something for everyone! Service: the ladies behind the counter were wonderful and patient with my questions. One even went through the trouble of accommodating a personal request for a bread that wasn't technically on display for sale. Seating: plentiful if you come off-hours. From previous reviews, there seems to be a breakfast rush, but I went around 1-2pm so I was one of 3 people seated.

Yelp
Great onigiris! But only Friday-Sunday. Bread and cake excellent. I live 30 minutes away, but the trip is worth it!

Oguz Cem C.

Yelp
Located in very good spot. All bakery stuff look delicious. Should be tried when around this location. They cook in the shop and very good smell attracts you.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
My husband says this is the best sandwich he ever ate! Wonderful bakery. He had smoked salmon on delicious bread with dill cream cheese. I had tomato and mozzarella. We didn't even try the pastries but the smelled and looked amazing.

Thomas B.

Yelp
Very nice and cozy place with delicious bakery goods and beautiful cakes although quite pricey you might not wanna spend all your money there but just have a taste of one of the great delicious cakes that they make

Leo Y.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! Randomly stopped here to get a dessert, and it's just very good!!
