Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised. The entrance is beautiful and everything looks well maintained. You immediately get the feeling that you’re about to experience something special on a culinary level. Unfortunately, that expectation was a huge disappointment.
Let me start with something positive: the cocktail was very good. However, the food was another story. The crispy rice tasted old and stuck to your teeth. The cauliflower was uninspired and bland. The tacos were decent, but nothing special.
For our main course, we both ordered the ribs. Considering the price, we had high expectations — but what a letdown; one would expect the meat to fall off the bone, but it was impossible to cut, even with a steak knife. The plate came with nothing but some fries and a BBQ sauce in which they put cumin. It was overpowering and tasted like it came straight from a jar.
When we were asked how the food was, I had already put my cutlery down with more than half of my meal still untouched, and I gave my honest opinion: we didn’t enjoy it. We were told the main course would not be charged, but in the end, only one main dish was removed from the bill.
A real missed opportunity, because the location and the atmosphere are great.
