My wife and I stayed here this past weekend. The service was exceptional, far beyond our expectations. Brenda and Peter were excellent hosts, who were willing to accommodate us in every way we needed. We presented dietary restrictions and were told it was no problem. We also had to leave early, for which we were given a to go breakfast nicely packaged. The home was beautiful and location was only a 2 min drive from downtown Waynesville. Couldn’t recommend more!

My husband and I loved Adon Reid Inn Bed & Breakfast. Peter & Brenda, the owners/innkeeps provide a warm and inviting place for guests. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which was the largest room. It was which is very roomy with a fireplace and a very large bathroom. It's the only room in the in with a TV which we didn't even turn on because there is so much to do. This historic B&B, located in the heart of Waynesville, offers elegant accommodations and warm hospitality, making it a fantastic home base for your mountain adventure. Centrally located between Asheville, Cherokee, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and number of amazing small towns. Waterfalls, streams, hiking trails, and so much more! And the breakfasts! Oh my! So delicious! and the afternoon cookies are also scrumptious! Can't wait to go back!

We spent 3 nights at the Andon-Reid Inn in June, 2025 and can honestly say that it is one of the best B&B’s we’ve ever stayed in. The innkeepers have thought of everything to make their guests’ stay a delight. The house is beautiful and well-kept, the breakfasts were scrumptious and served with a flair, and our room was great, with a comfy bed, roomy bathroom and mini-fridge. Rosie the cat was an extra treat, as she sat with us on the porch with the mountain view and walked with us around the huge yard. We will definitely stay with Brenda and Peter again when we are in the Waynesville area.

The Andon Reid Inn is exceptional! We had the most relaxing stay and Peter and Brenda have gone above and beyond with extra touches that just make their inn just delightful. Breakfast each day was delicious and the afternoon treats were the sweetest touch. We look forward to many return visits in the future.

The Inn is very comfortable and in close proximity to downtown Waynesville. Brenda and Peter went above and beyond to make our stay great. I am gluten free and every breakfast and snack that was served took this into consideration. I am so very grateful for that! It makes a huge difference to be able to enjoy the meal that is served rather than having to make concessions and adjustments. The dining and lounge areas have fireplaces as did our room. Wonderful music played during our meal and our room had a fun CD player with great CDs provided. I would have loved to spend time outside on the porch or in the Adirondack chairs but the weather in February is not the best! I would definitely stay at there again!

Peter and Brenda are lovely hosts and so is there B&B. They have an eye for detail and their place is clean. The home is inviting and quite comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and they are very accommodating with your dietary restrictions. The room rate was modest and a great value. If you are staying in Waynesville, this should be your home base to explore western Carolina.

My husband and I had rented the bed and breakfast out last year for our wedding, and unfortunately had two funerals come up in that same time that made family traveling from out of town to stay for the wedding extremely difficult and we had to cancel. The deposit was non-refundable but Brenda and Peter were so kind as to send us a voucher to stay with them another time. We stayed two nights and it was beautiful, great service, and amazing food. The view from the room we wanted and booked (mountain view room) was even more impressive than expected. They had treats every evening (I’m pregnant so I definitely abused this) plus a fancy tea station (tea is my favorite). They remembered our wedding and gifted us non alcoholic bubbly and cookies waiting when we got there, we played games in their game area all night. We can’t express enough how fun this was for us to have an excuse to get out of the house. Will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much!!!

Brenda and Pete’s attention to detail truly made our 2 night stay at Andon-Reid memorable and exceptional. Our suite was superb and generously apportioned and the gourmet breakfasts were wonderful. Should we return to Waynesville we will certainly book with Andon Reid. Christian and Denise

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for 6 perfect nights. When we arrived, we were greeted by Brenda, who met us with fresh baked cookies and gave us a tour of the Inn. We stayed in the mountain view room. We loved waking up to cool quiet mornings with fresh air as we listened to birds awaken and watched the mist rise away from the mountain outside our window. The bed was comfortable with an array of pillows to choose from. I loved the quaint clawfoot tub private bathroom. While the house is old, it has been structurally modernized so plumbing worked great and water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was served formally with other guests. We really enjoyed meeting new people and getting advice about how to spend our days. Food was EXCELLENT. Better than most restaurants for sure. The Inn is about 1 mile from main street in Waynesville, which you could walk, but its uphill. There you'll find terrific restaurants, shops and artisans. We explored the Pisgah Natl Forest and Blue Ridgeparkway too. But we also stayed at the Inn some days to enjoy the peaceful space at the Inn. Don't pass this place up. This was our first B&B stay in many years. And I think we got spoiled.

Yelp
I just stayed here over thanksgiving, my family rented the whole house! And there were a ton of us- but the inn had more than enough room! Everyday Peter and Brenda made us AMAZING breakfasts, and they had some delicious handmade juice! The rooms were vary spacious I stayed in the mountain view room with a balcony over looking the backyard with a lovely view of the mountains. They even have binoculars for the guests! Outside there is lawn games and tons of seats with a big fire pit. The basement has a big game room with a large tv and a pool table. My bedroom even had its own fireplace! So cute. I had a service dog with me, the owners were very kind and accommodating to us. I would highly recommend the inn! (The toilet paper the use is also great and not that shoddy cheap stuff a lot of places use)

Yelp
We stayed at this B&B between Christmas and New Years. The historic house is so comfortable and was festively decorated. The lounge area has great views of the the grounds and mountains, has a large fire place, and was stocked with goodies all day long (homemade baked goods, local soda and loose leaf teas, coffee, and candies). Our room and furniture was in great condition (mattress was comfortable with super soft sheets!) and everything was very clean. If it wasn't for the cold snap, sitting around the outdoor fire pit with mountain views would have been an added bonus. Breakfast was prepared and served by the innkeepers each day. They offered to personalize breakfasts as best as they could, based on dietary restrictions. That said, each morning had a tasty menu that was beautifully served. The location of the Andon-Reid is great as it is only about a 15 minute walk to the downtown breweries, restaurants, and the cute shops along Main Street. If a hilly jaunt isn't your thing, then a few minutes drive will bring you to plenty of free parking. We can't wait to come back and experience all four seasons at this gem!

Yelp
Celebrated our engagement here, it was our first time at a bed & breakfast. They will make you feel right at home. It all started with a tour from George, who was very nice and super accommodating. Very knowledgeable about the property and it's history. We stayed in the carriage house suite and it was very comfortable, the fresh baked cookies waiting on us in our room, the fireplace in our suite, jacuzzi & jetted shower, all of it was purely amazing. George delivered our breakfast and served us at the table in our suite, amazing breakfast and good information on the birds singing outside when we woke up. Thank you guys for making our engagement forever memorable. we will visit for years to come!

Shan W.

Yelp
Our first BnB and it exceeded expectations! As George walked us through the home I was so amazed by all the thoughtful touches. The choices of loose leaf tea, lemon pound cake as an afternoon treat, the history or the home. Our breakfasts were amazing and though yours might not be the same, the level of quality is unmatched. We chose a room where we were able to have breakfast on the patio but the Library Suite looked beautiful as well.

Yelp
We stayed for five nights in the garden suite. The room was comfortable and spacious. The entire property is very quaint and peaceful. Peter and Brenda were wonderful hosts. They are friendly and provided us with some very delicious breakfasts. The afternoon treat is also a welcome surprise when you return from being out all day. They have a game room in the basement with a pool table and some bar games along with board games. We truly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend them.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay just after the holidays. The Inn was still decorated for Christmas and Peter and Brenda were lovely hosts! Our room was very clean and comfortable and we loved the fireplace with the winter weather. The breakfast was delicious and they offered wonderful vegan options. The afternoon snacks, homemade goodies, local sodas and tea and coffee available at all times were great extras. We also enjoyed the game room in the basement in the evenings. We will definitely be returning!

Yelp
This is our 1st visit and we had AMAZING experience here! George and Andrea are super sweet. The room(we stayed in Mountain View) is nice and neat when we come in. They have some welcome cookies for us waiting in the room as well!!! Breakfast is incredible and fresh juice served with breakfast tasted amazing! 100 stars out of 10. I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK:-)

Yelp
This is our second time here and we just love it. The InnKeepers que wonderful. The food is great and there is lots to do in the area. Don't miss the Canton Labor Day Festival, it is the oldest Labor Day Celebration in the South.

Yelp
My husband and I were recently in the area and stumbled upon this LOVELY B&B! George and Andrea are spectacular hosts--extremely detail oriented and easily accessible! The freshly prepared delicious breakfast, snacks and beverage/coffee bar are awesome. We stayed in the Carriage House and loved it. The suite was super clean and comfy! We would definitely stay at this Inn again.

Yelp
We chose the Andon-Reid Inn as our "escape" from self-quarantine. It's our favorite B&B, so we've stopped searching for other options in western North Carolina. When we have an itch for NC mountains and the Asheville area, the Andon-Reid Inn provides us a dependable base. Andrea and George continue to provide a warm welcome, delicious breakfasts, and comfortable accommodations. For this visit, we selected the Carriage House Suite, and enjoyed it so much that we'll probably opt for it on our next visit. Yes, we'll return. The Andon-Reid Inn has become the B&B we depend on for special occasions. This time, it was to escape the lockdown. In the past, we've celebrated wedding anniversaries. Any reason is worthwhile if it includes a few days at the Andon-Reid Inn with Waynesville's shops and restaurants conveniently a few blocks away.

Yelp
My husband and I needed a vacation BADLY from our day to day busy lives. So for Christmas we decided to go away for a mini vacation. With some direction from our travel agent we found Andon-Reid. From the very beginning of our booking to the point we left after a three nights stay. George, the inn keeper was So very helpful hospitable! Our rooms we're kept clean, and they are following all of the Covid procedures with sanitation and social distancing. But the fact they made us feel like family they entire time was so timely. As we were unable to visit family this year. The food prepared by his wife and co-owner Andrea, was subperb each morning! The inn itself was just amazing with Beautiful Christmas decor and the snow just couldn't have made for better pictures. We stayed in "The Library".. and all i can say is, the layout is just breathtaking. The bathroom alone makes you want to never leave the room! *Please note-They do not have TVs in the rooms only a common area TV, in their super fun Game room, that anyone would envy for a Mancave idea! But if you just HAVE to have TV in your room, just bring your laptop, they have plenty of wifi! We actually found it really relaxing and gave us time to reconnect with lots of conversation. Anyway this was one of the best relaxing trips to date! We will Definitely be returning soon. We feel so refreshed and relaxed!

Yelp
Fantastic experience in our first visit in early February. Stayed in the carriage house and loved the privacy it provided. George and Andrea are gracious hosts from the moment we walked in the door and made us feel at home. Their attention to detail is amazing. We were about the only guests there and even had snow on Saturday that added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend and we look forward to getting a brick there in the future....ask George how you get one!

Yelp
Finishing up a very enjoyable stay at this first rate B&B. The hosts have hospitality down to a science. The food and snacks are great. We got the suite and love the room! It is beautiful, comfortable and a perfect place to spend time. They have a huge game room with first rate pool table, sauna, gym equipment, and of corse a wide selection of games. My wife came down with a cold during our stay so we were mostly shut ins, and still head a heat time. We will be back!

Mike W.

Yelp
The Andon-Reid Inn is one of the finest B & B's we've ever visited. Very clean, which is a problem I have at some hotels and Inn's including restaurants we visit. The owners are the inn keepers, therefore they want as well as need great reviews. I sincerely think you will not find better accommodations in the area. Happy traveling!

Rachelle G.

Yelp
Our stay at this quintessential bed and breakfast was defined by its friendly and gracious hosts, superb breakfasts and amazing accommodations! The restored historical property provided a lodging experience that exceeded any 5 star hotel we have stayed in during our travels. It was my husbands 60th birthday and I couldn't find any bakery that could provide his favorite, a coconut cream pie, Andrea took on the challenge and baked a "to die for" masterpiece!! If you are going to WAYNESVILLE make this your first choice if you want a memorable visit.

Deena S.

Yelp
What a nice surprise - last minute booking and so happy with our choice! Walking distance to town and delightful hosts! Breakfast was delicious and our room was so cozy! Looking forward to returning!

Mary C.

Yelp
Stayed in the Library Room. Spacious, cozy, with two fireplaces, one of which is in the large bathroom. Despite being on the ground floor, we didn't hear any noise from the kitchen or other guests. The bed was so comfortable, and the sheets were the softest I've ever experienced! Andrea and George, the owners, were so hospitable. Keurig in the room and in the main space, teas, and other beverages and snacks. Breakfast was outstanding and the fresh brewed coffee was strong and delicious. Short walk to downtown to explore the breweries and restaurants. We will definitely be back! Thank you Andrea and George!

Jason C.

Yelp
Beautiful place. George and Andrea are both extremely nice and hospitable. Great places outside of the room to sit and relax. Bib, the cat, will visit you on the porch if you sit there. There is an excellent game room downstairs with pool and movies and board games. Breakfast every morning is top notch. They will definitely spoil you. We will be back!

Yelp
This was tough for me to admit. Andon-Reid has won awards, been voted top B+B and is listed as the highest rated B+B all over the place. I wasn't going to be won over easily - I had stayed at a few nice B+Bs, some top notch hotels, and some great places in Europe in my short traveling career. Andon-Reid was truly a memorable time, staffed by two fantastic owners, and it deserves the 5 star rating I'm giving it. The entry-level room we stayed in was somewhat small (let's say cozy), but very very nice, with gas fireplace we were instructed on. The bathroom was beautifully tiled, everything was in great shape. We toured some of the larger rooms as well, the library especially looked like a dream come true. Staying in there if/when we go back. The workout/game/TV area downstairs was great - you can go down, plug things in, and workout at your own pace. Or you can take an official course (but I'm on vacation). Getting some curls and running in before 8am was nice. The breakfast - well, let's get right to the heart of the matter. 3 course breakfast, every day. A fruit/grain combo, usually with a nice flavored yogurt, started things off - and the wife and I were inspired to include this in our daily life. The second course was a main dish, from pancake/pastries to quiche to just a good time overall. The third course is, of course, dessert. So, so good. Apple tarts, chocolate cake, peanut butter cake - it's all phenominal, and a big part of the 5 stars. You will share a table with 2 or 4 other guests, so be prepared for conversation, introductions, and all that. Wireless internet was complimentary - I had an issue setting up the protocol at first but figured it out like a good little nerd. Ann was very attentive and helpful. TV is not in any of the rooms, but there's one in the common room and another with DVD player downstairs. You're in the country, disconnect. What makes this place great - beyond the amazing extras we added, like the wine and fruit/cheese platter, and the top notch shape of everything, and inviting setup - what made it the best was the service. Ron is running around all day, doing everything he can to make your stay perfect. He's entertaining and charming, he'll help you find your way or plot your day, and he'll answer any question you have. I wasn't looking for this kind of social interaction, I'll be honest...but it was great. It made the stay more memorable, more special, than other B+Bs might be. While there's a lot of marketing and effort that goes into the good ratings and awards, when it comes down to it it can't be faked. These two know what they're doing and do it the best, hands down.

Ryan D.

Yelp
George and Andrea are very hospitable... House is beautiful and overloaded with amenities.... Food and snacks were top-notch!

Jay N.

Yelp
First ever B&B experience. Mark and Kari are wonderful hosts. The the breakfast was great. We stayed in the Carriage House which was awesome! The only negative about it I can say is, they need to separate the bathroom area better. I don't want to hear my girlfriend pee! Overall it was a very relaxing, quiet getaway.. Which is what we were looking for.

Brandon S.

Yelp
We first looked at bed and breakfast in Asheville but they were all to victorian looking and didnt feel comfortable. Andon Reid was exactly what we wanted. The house is an older home but has a balance of class and comfort. The great room is amazing and is where my wife and I spent most of our time. The large stone fireplace gave us the feel of being in a older style ski lodge. You cant get board with all the things there are to do in the game room. We stayed in the Library room and it was amazing. Our host were even more amazing and did everything they could to make us feel welcome.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
What an amazing place! I've been here several times, and it keeps getting better and better. Mark and Kari are such nice, hardworking people, and they go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. They've renovated the property and rooms, and the place is just gorgeous. I love the style of the Inn--it's beautiful and cozy while keeping the characteristics of the original home without the gaudiness or overly-antiqued feeling you find at a lot of places. It just feels like home. The breakfast is terrific, the views are incredible, and we meet the most interesting people from around the world here. This is by far the best B&B I've ever stayed at. It almost feels like you're in another world--such an amazing place to unplug and great people to do it with.
