Our entire experience was more than amazing. It truly exceeded our expectations. We went for a special occasion, our anniversary, and chose this restaurant because it promised a memorable evening. Our only concern was that we had our three month old infant with us. We were not comfortable leaving her with a nanny, but we also knew this was a high end place where strollers and babies are not usually seen. Little did we know that our baby would have a blowout right at the restaurant. Since there was no diaper changing table in the washrooms, we were already stressed. But the team went above and beyond in ways we will never forget. They brought out a table from backstage, turned it into a safe changing station for us, and gave us access to the accessible washroom. Abby, who works at the restaurant, stayed with us the entire time. As a first time mom, her presence was incredibly encouraging. She understood exactly what I was going through and helped in every possible way. And then there was Nathan, our server. He was truly exceptional. Every detail, every interaction, and every step of the service was thoughtful, warm, and reassuring. We were the only family with a baby in the entire restaurant, so naturally we wanted to be mindful of everyone around us. Nathan made sure we felt completely comfortable and never out of place. Now the food. Absolutely incredible. We started with the eggs, which are a must try. Everyone should experience them at least once in their life. Then we had the roasted chicken, which is halal and incredibly flavorful, along with the crispy potatoes. We ended with the lemon ice cream, which was the perfect finish. Every single dish was ten out of ten. We have zero complaints. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, not only because of the food but also because of the genuine kindness and understanding of the staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We reserved it for my girlfriend's birthday. Interiors are beautiful. Service was excellent, all our servers were courteous and thoughtful. Food was decent, I'd expect more at this price point. They're accommodating of the substitution request. The atmosphere was decent, had a big, really loud corporate table next to us which made conversation almost impossible. Overall, we enjoyed our experience but wouldn't repeat.

We came here for a birthday celebration and had such a great experience. The manager was incredibly sweet and even surprised us, which made the night feel extra special. Our server Nathan was attentive, friendly, and just lovely overall. The ambiance is one of my favourites. Highly recommend the oyster mushroom sandwich, and the drinks were fantastic too. Will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review We had a mixed experience overall, but I want to give a major shoutout to Abbie, the restaurant manager, who truly turned the evening around. Despite some initial issues with service and food quality, Abbie stepped in, took full ownership, and went above and beyond to make things right. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care for guests made a real difference and ultimately saved the night for us. That level of leadership does not go unnoticed. That said, I do have a couple of constructive recommendations aimed at elevating an already strong concept: Plate material: Consider switching to plates that retain heat better. Keeping food warm when it reaches the table would significantly improve the dining experience across the entire restaurant. Seasonal ambiance: Adding a Christmas tree with tasteful decorations would be a fantastic touch. It would complement your interior design beautifully—especially the downstairs area, which is already very cozy and inviting. Overall, strong potential, a great atmosphere, and outstanding management thanks to Abbie 👏 With a few operational tweaks, this place can truly operate at a best-in-class level. ⭐️✨

I’m so glad I found pictures of this beautiful space while looking for somewhere special to take my Wife for her birthday. The decor, upholstery, drinks, plates and even cutlery was visual splendor, only outdone by the food itself! Our server’s feedback from our questions about the menu helped guide us to a beyond-perfect experience. My drink of choice is always an Old Fashioned and their signature version was an incredible elevation of a timeless classic. I don’t like mine too sweet, so replacing the simple syrup with fresh spun cotton candy as a garnish is absolutely genius. I couldn’t resist nibbling the majority of it before melting the rest into my glass. Even halfway through the drink I had to exclaim to my Wife how much I was enjoying the subtle flavour of the peach bitters and earl grey syrup. Everything we ordered was incredible and would order again. I don’t think my vocabulary is deep enough to cover all the food, but I can say we were fan-girling over the chili present in the deviled eggs. We were sharing everything we ordered, but became slightly reluctant to when it was time for the pan seared salmon and roasted half chicken. We finished with the toffee cake and coffee for desert which came with a candle and birthday wishes written in chocolate. I tried drizzling some coffee on my last bites of cake and was delighted by how well the flavour addition worked. We got our coats and chatted with the staff briefly before leaving in a state of almost shock as we realized that might have been the best dinning experience we’ve ever had. We’re already looking forward to returning, and now have a new favourite spot in town. Long live AndOre!!

We had a great dinner last night. Thanks for accommodating our dietary restrictions and for making every bite unique. Not a cheap experience but we felt it was money well spent overall. The service was excellent and attentive and the cocktail we sampled was also very good.

We had an absolutely exceptional evening from start to finish at and/ore. The entire experience felt new and fresh with an elevated approach to familiar favorites. Each dish in the 8 course tasting was thoughtfully curated, beyond satisfying and wonderfully inventive. The staff was absolutely top-notch. Lu brought all the fun through the night. He was beyond attentive, never letting our glasses go empty and ensuring we were thoroughly taken care of. The entire team was deeply knowledgeable about the menu, speaking about each dish with eloquence and enthusiasm. We also had the pleasure of meeting Abi, the manager, who brought an extra dose of charm and laughter to our table. Lu and Abi's energy truly made the night special. We left feeling not only well fed and poured all the way up, but also genuinely delighted by the entire experience. We highly recommend and will be making this restaurant a recurring spot for dinner.

There are few times in life where one stops to truly appreciate what is happening ( to "smell the flowers"), And/Ore is one of those experiences. From the intricate decor, to the service, to the food, and atmosphere; And/Ore knocked it all out of the park. There are not enough superlatives to express this gem. Enjoyed the tasting menu curated by And/Ore, had no idea what to expect. Every course, down to each element on the plate was a culinary journey. We tasted every element separately, then together. OMG! I've traveled the world and enjoyed many Michelin star meals, hands down And/Ore is on par. Kudos to Chef Missy and the entire And/Ore team for creating an approachable but exquisite culinary destination worthy of the cost. Can't wait to go back for my next culinary experience!

Yelp
We made a reservation for my birthday on a Saturday for underground experience (7-course tasting menu). I definitely recommend booking a few weeks in advance for Underground Experience and specially if you're visiting over the weekend. Underground experience is $160/person with wine pairing option for extra $80. The seating limit is 2.5 hours. Everything was well-organized and our table was ready by the time we arrived. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were directed to our table right away. We started with small bites which we really loved. Followed by Bread & Butter, 3 primi, strawberry sorbet, short rib as main and the finished off with desserts. Our dessert was decorated with a candle which I enjoyed the chance to blow the candle on my birthday. Everything was delicious and our favourites were the small bites, and primi. The short rib was overcooked and burned in some areas. Other than that, we enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and the friendly service.

Yelp
And/Ore is beautiful both above and below ground; though I didn't get to spend much time above ground, I will definitely be coming back to enjoy some of their menu items. The below ground area is an intimate space that is made to look like you're underground. The service is what you would expect from a place with a tasting menu, where each dish is paced well and presented beautifully. The small bites on their tasting menu were definitely the most memorable of the dishes, but everything we had was tasty. The space underground is dimly lit, so if you are looking for good pictures, above ground might be the way to go.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is about with And/Ore. Went with friends for dinner and we ordered the charcuterie spread. Ended up spending about $60 each, and honestly, it wasn't worth it. Service was great and the vibe was nice, but the food didn't live up to the price.

Yelp
I first came across And/Ore on Instagram, and the cave-like interior design made this restaurant standout in the city. So when I was invited to a client dinner there, I was excited for the opportunity to check it out. Unfortunately, we didn't get a table in the intriguing "cave" area downstairs, which was a little disappointing since that's part of what makes the place so cool. If you're planning to go, definitely try to snag a reservation for that space--it's worth it for the vibe alone. Also, they conveniently offer complimentary coat check which was nice. For dinner, we opted for the Chef's Picnic--a $65 per person selection of the chef's choice of snacks, small plates, and accompaniments like cheese and cured meats. The spread was impressive and included sourdough bread and butter, marinated olives, deviled eggs, a king oyster mushroom katsu sandwich, a charcuterie board, fried mozzarella, pan-seared salmon, and crispy potatoes. The standout dishes for us were the deviled egg, the mushroom katsu sandwich, and the crispy potatoes--all unique, flavorful, and memorable. That said, the portioning was a bit odd, and it wasn't always clear how we were supposed to share everything. Some dishes were served individually (we each got a deviled egg), while others seemed to be for sharing in ways that didn't quite add up. For example, the crispy potatoes were served on three plates, each with just three pieces, making it awkward to divide among six people. Similarly, only three plates of salmon were brought out, leaving us to figure out how to split them. That said, the service was great--friendly and attentive without being stuffy. They also have a really nice selection of mocktails, which is always a welcome as someone who doesn't drink. For dessert, we couldn't resist and ended up trying almost everything on the menu. The toffee pudding and ice cream sundae were the highlights for me, but honestly, you probably can't go wrong with any of their sweets. Overall, And/Ore is definitely on the pricier side, but the food and service make it worth a visit--especially if you're not the one paying! If you do go, I'd highly recommend trying to book a table in the downstairs cave area. It's a great spot for a special occasion or a dinner that feels a little fancy. I'd say it's worth checking out at least once.

Yelp
I was craving beef tartare and potato accordion so badly so I went for the above ground instead of the under ground tasting menu. The interior was so beautiful as if you've walked into a renaissance painting. I appreciate the server checking on us every once in a while but he was quite busy the whole night. Took us time to get their attention. The beef tartare itself was pretty good, but the chips were slightly too salty that it has overpowered the tartare. The crispy potato was nicely sliced but could be crispier. The gin & tonic with cucumber looked refreshing but you could barely taste the cucumber. I'm being a little picky but honestly nothing was too outstanding.

Yelp
Came here in the "above ground" for a bachelorette and was blown away. I'm always a fan of a chef's tasting menu and I suggested this to the group. Luckily, everyone was down. Plus, it's only $60 and we got to try a bunch of stuff! This is everything we got: -bread and butter -deviled egg -marinated olives -fried mozzarella -king oyster mushroom katsu sando -jamon Serrano -capicollo -mortadella -assorted cheeses -salmon -crispy potato Everything was OUTSTANDING and really surprised me. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the devilled egg but my gf absolutely loved it, so it really depends on your tastebuds. I couldn't get over the bread and butter. It tastes like chicken souvlaki! Lol like this isn't just ordinary toasted bread. It's definitely grilled. The mushroom katsu was another standout and any meat lover would adore this. Cuz I sure wasn't missing the meat in this sando! We almost ordered another round of these until we realized there was a second course. All the meats were delicious and those green strawberries in the charcuterie plate are a must try! The salmon was cooked to perfection and that potato was amazing but at this point I was STUFFED. I'm sad we couldn't finish the salmon. The resto is beautiful and service super friendly and timely. I can't wait to come back here and try the below ground menu!

Yelp
5 star vibe and service. The place is beautifully designed, compact yet well-spaced, and has a casual chic energy. The service is excellent - attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. We tried a number of their inventive dishes, and the standouts for me were the curry fishballs (nicely springy, with a really tasty curry sauce), burnt cabbage (great caramelization and texture, surprisingly hearty) and blooming strawberry (smooth and creamy). Thanks for the lovely evening, And/Ore.

Yelp
Get ready for one of the fanciest "picnic" experiences you will ever have. I came here with my cousins, and we did the "Above Ground" menu so that we could share and sample a variety of different dishes. First things first, let's talk about the decor. This may be the most beautiful restaurant in Toronto. There is lots of attention to details ranging from lighting, the murals on the wall, seating, and dinnerware to the bar area. On to the food. We ended up ordering the deviled egg, king oyster mushroom katsu sandwich, fish balls, skirt steak, lamb ribs, octopus, burnt cabbage, and crispy potato. Portion sizes are on the smaller side here. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of umami. Standouts to me were the burnt cabbage, deviled egg, crispy potato, skirt steak, and octopus. Don't miss out on the dessert. We shared a toffee cake and the blooming strawberry, and I almost wanted to pick the plate because they were so good. I also tried 2 drinks, the Mae (nonalcoholic) and a Cosmo. The drinks here are beautiful and creative. The service here is great as well. Our server was friendly, attentive, and able to answer any questions we had and give recommendations based on our tastes. Maybe one of these days I will try the Below Ground menu, but I think even just dropping in for a drink and something to snack on will be good enough for me.

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Booked for the upstairs (the restaurant has an Underground portion, which is a set menu only; the upstairs portion you can do a tasting menu for $60, or a la carte) Starting off, the service is lovely, everyone was happy and polite. I will say, if you are looking for a quiet place to have conversation, this is not the place. It's loud and fun and lively! The space is pretty, like a picture in a magazine. The bar area is small with only a few seats, but there are plenty of tables one the main floor and even more in the secluded upper portion (technically 3 floors I would say...downstairs in the "cave" and then upstairs-main, upstairs-balcony). I decided on the skirt steak with bitter greens and creamed onion sauce, and also ordered the crispy potato with malt vinegar & chives. The steak was to perfection (medium rare), but I would say overall it didn't blow me away. The bitter greens added a nice contrast to the sweetness of the onion sauce. The crispy potato dish is served to almost look like a piece of cake. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but again it didn't wow me. It's not bad, just not great . I did order a cocktail, but I was surprised for a place like this, the drink menu was a bit lacking. The wine menu looked great though so that might be a better option. I would say this is a fun place to grab a drink and maybe some apps. They do have a snacking menu, as well as cheese options.

Yelp
We made a reservation for two for their tasting menu below ground on the same day, and there were several seating times available. After we were seated, we ordered drinks before our meal started - there was a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and alcoholic drinks. My partner and I had a great experience and enjoyed every dish. We found each dish unique and tasted good. Our favourite dishes were the small bites, short ribs, and lobster zucchini; my least favourite was the Yukon gold potato. Of course, our experience may be different than yours as this is a tasting menu. Overall, we had a great date night at and/ore, and left feeling full. The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was cool. We both enjoyed the intricacies of the tasting menu and would consider coming back here again to celebrate a milestone. Accessibility: There is elevator access to the underground area. There is a large washroom in the seating area. Street parking - paid and free parking available.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this spot seeing it all over my insta! What I was expecting was a beautiful space and the usual trendy sub par food- thinking this is just another trendy spot that popped up. BOY was i completely shocked!! I booked the a la carte upstairs option, upon arrival we were greeted by the most pleasant hostess. She let us know there was an open spot in the cave- but due to our dietary restrictions it wouldn't have allowed the chef enough time to accommodate us so we stayed upstairs. As expected the space is gorgeous, with lounge and table seating as well as round and square tables. I liked the different seating options - made the space feel well filled and not sterile. Our server Nathan was phenomenal!! So patient and informative! He assisted us in making our order and everything was delicious! I had an orange wine which was as expected, my partner had a few of their cocktails and loved them- I don't remember the names but both were well spiced and creative! In terms of food, we started with the devilled eggs- these are a MUST I still regret us not getting a second portion of these lol. We also had the burnt cabbage, potatoes, hamachi crudo and salmon main. I honestly loved all the items equally- even the burnt cabbage was such a hit! The salmon share plate was a very substantial piece of fish that laid on the most light slaw. All the little delicate flavours really shine through and the full meal as a whole all blended well. We ended with the toffee cake which was the recommended dish snd it was AMAZING. We both fought for bites! Definitely recommend And/ore, we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
If you're in Toronto, you have to try this restaurant! It a hidden gem! There's two restaurants inside. One is a cave downstairs and you definitely need to book ahead of time. That is the Ore part. The And is upstairs and we really enjoyed the food!! Atmosphere is 10/10. Service was great!!

Yelp
Part of a longer review... "In the heart of Toronto's West Queen West, a district known for its vibrant culture and artistic flair, And/Ore emerges as a landmark of culinary innovation. This establishment, the brainchild of Jaimie Donovan, an Australian expatriate with a background in mining engineering, is a testament to the transformative power of passion and vision. Donovan's ambition was to create a dining experience that transcended the conventional, a space where the extraordinary becomes the norm. With the collaboration of a team of talented women, including Chef Missy Hui (Fabbrica), And/Ore has indeed become a shining star in Toronto's dining scene since it opened in December 2023."

Yelp
As you descend by elevator into the cavernous dining room, it gives off a haunting tunnel-like ambiance. It's here they serve their 8-course tasting menu ($150) with an optional wine pairing ($80) that's begins with a glass of champagne and ends with a cocktail (in our case, a floral espresso martini). The starting bites were a hit and a miss. The hit being a crispy and creamy arancini adorned with aioli and truffle shavings that made for an amazing first taste. This was followed by the biggest miss of the evening, a fishy tasting piece of fluke that couldn't even be saved by the grapefruit segments. I quickly chased this down with the tuille wonton topped with caviar, which would seem inventive if it weren't for the off-putting taste still lingering in my mouth. At least the Timbit sized bread was as delicious as it looked: hot, soft, and buttery... three words that all milk bread should aspire to achieve. Beautifully caramelized, the scallop was just cooked through and sat in a delicious lettuce and leek oil sauce. At first glance, the sheer number of hazelnuts and diced pear seemed excessive, but somehow worked. In fact, for someone who dislikes nuts and fruit on savoury things, I really enjoyed the dish. Our table unanimously declared the maitake as our favourite item. The mushroom was cooked perfectly taking on a meaty feel. The celeriac base held a hint of curry, but the entire dish mellowed with a splash of vinegar. The only miss was the unfortunate wine pairing, which I can only describe as "salon-like" with its aroma of perming solution and soapy floral taste. Chef Missy Hui should consider leaning more towards a "vegetable first" menu as she does meatless dishes beautifully. The roasted honeynut squash looked plain but was flavourful in a bright refreshing manner. Who would have known salsa verde could be a great compliment for root vegetables? And I love how she brushed the shiso leaf with egg white, rather than dipping it in tempura, to create a crispy but not oily bite. This is a long review, head to Gastro World for the rest of

Yelp
We had our company holiday party here. The entire top level was booked out for our party. There is an elevator here for accessibility. The second floor also has its own washroom which was really clean and stocked with very nice smelling toiletries. We had a lot of staff serving us and everyone was extremely courteous the entire night. They were very patient with the multiple rounds of drink orders and all the questions that we had about the dishes and dietary restrictions. The drinks were really innovative and they had a page of mocktails that utilized 0 proof liquor. We were told that the drinks may be slightly different each time they're ordered since they are mixed each time. We did the chef's picnic menu which was themed really well with elevated plates you'd normally see at a picnic. The first course was assorted charcuterie and two small plates a deviled egg, and fried mozzarella. These had Asian touches with a chili sauce and a gojuchang, respectively. The mains were a steak, chicken on an olive tapenade, and a salmon on top of a slaw. The steak was my favourite out of these. One of the sides was a fried potato stack which was very impressive to see but a little oily for me. We had a birthday and they brought out the most perfect lemon cake with an adorable flower candle. Very cool atmosphere all around here.

Yelp
The entire restaurant is a total of three floors Underground is a cave style with testing menu Upstairs two floors can be a single order of the oil painting style As soon as you enter the restaurant, you have the feeling of traveling to Europe The entire restaurant is wrapped in hand-painted walls Everywhere reveals the French style and romance simply don't love this decoration too much I want to live in it myself I chose the upstairs set menu with my sister, 60/PP per person plus tax and wine, about 100, because I wasn't too hungry, I was going to have it as afternoon tea, but it turns out, it's still filling. The total amount of food for one person is about 5 dishes, the type is more of a downer, ham cured honeydew melon and olives a big plate full of them. If you were eating it as a meal, it might be a little underwhelming, but as a bar, it's a little more impressive. Choosing an upstairs restaurant will make it easier for you to get a good picture, so be sure to look around when you're positioning yourself

Yelp
WEDDING Experience Review Oct 11, 2024. Having eaten here three times (twice in the cave and once upstairs) we approached the Restaurant about having our Wedding here. They were willing and we had a fantastic experience throughout the planning process and the event itself. It was their first wedding there. Planning: We worked out the event with the Restaurant's team including especially Abby and Chef Missy. We already knew we loved Chef Missy's food and as far as we were concerned she could determine the menu - which was small plate items to be passed around or at food stations. We coordiante with them on a cocktail menu which ended up being their variations on cockatails we loved including an Empress Gin based French 75 and a really good fall variation on an Old Fashoned among other things. They rearranged the main floor and mezzanine space to make it ceremony appropriate. The Event. We had capacity for approx 90. The event went off without a hitch at all. The serving and bar staff worked tirelessly (we really put the bar staff through their paces) and there was never lack of fantastic food or drink. Small bites were extensive and included a layered potato dish, devilled eggs, short rib, various tasty mushroom dishes, shrimp, different amazing skewers and many other things as well as a splendid dessert table. We didn't want a traditional cake. Food Accommodations. The bride (and several guests) have various food restrictions. One of the things And/Ore is always good at is accommodating Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegetarian guests and the wedding was no different in that regard. The Space. I really think this is one of the most beautiful interior spaces in the City. Just look at the photos of the restaurant. The Feedback. First, as the anxious groom I can say the bridge and I were thrilled with everything. More importantly so were our guests/family. 10/10. No notes. Would do again (but obviously it will need to be someone else's wedding)

Yelp
And/Ore offers a modern menu of shareables at a reasonable price. Their cocktails seemed a little lackluster but it's offset by a great selection of wines. The pictures shown is their a la carte menu for Above Ground. We did not order the Chef's Picnic as it seemed to have most of the attention on the cheese and meat plates rather than their more creative fare. In fact I would hope to see a different tasting menu that features more of their menu instead in the future. We started with wine first because their cocktail menu featured only classics with a slight twist. With such a gorgeous space I expected a more inventive menu and riskier elements instead of sticking to tried and true cocktails. The wine list is curated by Grape Witches and the quality is clear, both are picks were surprisingly good at reasonable prices, so I'd recommend you giving the wine list a try, at least until the cocktail menu is revamped. In the pictured foods, the mushroom sandwich and montasio plate were particularly good. The mushroom is deep fried with a perfect level of crunchy veggies to complement, giving each bite a juicy and fresh taste that highlights the mushroom. The montasio was a surprise as the fermented apple and onion jam really complemented the cheese well and elevated the whole dish. We finished off with the panna cotta, which was yet another highlight of the meal. The simplicity of the panna cotta pairs well with the carrot and lemon, perfect for sharing in the end. Overall, and/ore has the makings of a decent restaurant. The decor is fantastic and some of the menu features an exciting range of flavours, but a more interesting cocktail menu and tasting menu (for Above Ground) would further enhance the experience.

Yelp
Did the tasting menu upstairs, so this review is only relevant for the upstairs portion. The good part is that the atmosphere and decor was 5/5, great for dinner. The drinks were also great, the signature ones are worth trying. However the food was very lacklustre and not worth it at all. For a similar price range the options in Toronto and similarly nearby in Ossington are simply superior. I'm sure their main tasting menu downstairs is much nicer but the sake of this review I just simply wasn't it impressed all things considered. The waiter also forgot about us at one point which was annoying but otherwise he was nice. I wouldn't go a second time but that's only because there are better options food wise in the area with a similar price point

Yelp
the servers were really quick, polite, and very nice. they asked us how we wanted the timing of the food, as we had a couple apps then mains all the food and drinks were really good, but stand outs/highlights: burnt cabbage king oyster mushroom katsu sandwich grilled octobus ricotta fritters melona drink Definitely recommend, make sure to book a reservation.

Yelp
I had an absolute fantastic experience at and/ore. We went to celebrate my birthday. Reservations were for above ground, however, upon arrival, they offered to seat us in the underground "cave", which serves an eight course sample sizes meal. The food was fantastic. Hats off to Chef Missy Hui. Every dish was delicious and perfectly explained by Carly or Nathan, who both were so great in coming around to check on us. The food, service and drinks were a 10/10. Truly fantastic!! On a personal note, I forgot to mention my aversion to mushrooms (preference not allergy) at the start. One of the dishes was a Maitake mushroom. I tried it but just couldn't eat it. Chef Missy Hui made me a personal dish of fried artichoke and Carly and Nathan kept coming by to check on me and went out of their way to make sure I didn't feel bad about the oversight. Best service from those three (well everyone really, but they were so kind) and hands down one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Toronto. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Carly, Nathan and Chef Missy Hui. You're awesome :).

Yelp
3.7/5 I stopped by here for a quick pre drink. Cocktail was solid. No complain. This place has chic abandoned opera house with hidden cave sprinkled with gothic fairy dust vibe. It will be a great place for both girls night out and date night. They offer regular a la carte menu and seasonal set menu at upstair. I will definitely revisit soon to try food to update the review.

Yelp
Date night; an absolute delight! The staff were charming and engaging without being intrusive. We enjoyed the devilled eggs, chicken liver pate crostini, fresh and buttery Mahi Mahi, deliciously balanced Picanha Steak, perfectly prepared Crispy Potato. Sweet and scrumptious Toffee cake. We didn't feel like any of the cocktails listed but the server gladly walked us through our general cravings of our mood and had the bartender create customized versions of a Gin Sour with a light strawberry taste as well as and enhanced orange Whisky Sour. They checked on how we were liking the drinks; they felt they could improve on the strawberry gin sour, took it away and prepared a fresh drink based on our feed back and it was spot on! We tried some premium tequila and the host took it upon herself to bring out some other premium tequila sample tasters just so we could do some realtime comparisons. The staff, the food, the vibe were all superb. Looking forward to returning to try their tasting menu at And Ore Below If it is anything like And Ore Above. Thank you to the fine ladies and gentlemen that made our evening so memorable.

Yelp
I didn't think much of this booking but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything. We got the tasting menu for the downstairs- I think the upstairs tasting might be different from the downstairs one. We were very pleased by all of the dishes presented to us. We also got the wine pairing and we found many of the wines to be excellent and the pours to be incredibly generous. I regret not taking any photos since there seems to be none here of the tasting menu so let me explain- it starts with a little raw fish and an arancini- which I loved. Then came this scallop which was so different from what I was used to- with a rich sauce and hazelnuts and cut like a rectangle and not a circle. I was so confused by the shape, expecting it to be a fish. It also went to a grilled maitake which could have been one of my favs. There was also an amazing short rib and a delightful dessert. Before the short rib though, they served a palate cleansing course that had some fruit with rice milk that reminded me of korean food. I highly recommended this tasting menu as it does everything just a little differently to keep you on your toes. Service was also very nice. We had a really nice time !

Yelp
Pretentious, expensive and really not that good. We were given a flimsy table , only after insisting several times we were finally moved to a more stable one . The chef's picnic is just a charcuterie board with nothing outstanding ( ordinary Montasio , average mortadella) and it goes for 60$ per person, only nice touch the warm olives bowl. Fried mozzarella with kimchi is inedible and the chicken too salty and undercooked. The service is done by students with no experience and the barman spent the whole night making a hell of a noise shaking his shaker endlessly. Also after making the reservation on line i received 3 ( three ) email and a phone call making sure that we were indeed gonna show ... in spite of the cancellation fee that would have been applied on my credit card in case of no-show .. VERY ANNOYING AND UNPROFESSIONAL !! Not going back

Yelp
It's been a week since I attended the Champagne tasting event and I'm still thinking about, the fabulous food, informative sommeliers, terrific service and the gorgeous space. Love the fact that this restaurant is female owned - not to mention that the space is incredibly beautiful. I've been to all three floors and have enjoyed the ambiance, food on each. My new favourite restaurant!

Yelp
We had a dinner for four in the underground portion of the restaurant. Space is amazing. Service was outstanding. And what you came to ask - the food was excellent. One of us has gluten and dairy issues and one a shellfish intolerance. We noted both and the chef's accommodations were spectacular. Was blown away by a mushroom dish and the short ribs.

Yelp
The food, drinks, ambiance and service were exceptional. One of the best dining experiences I have had. Our party of four ordered from the a la carte menu this time and will go back to try the picnic, set seasonal menu and explore a la carte menu again. The mural is exquisite and is enhanced by thoughtfully placed lighting along with natural lighting from the sky lights. The decor was beautiful and the chairs were plush and comfortable. we highly recommend a visit to this establishment. You will not be disappointed.
