We were two couples travelling together. We booked the family suite which was two bedrooms and a shared bath. It was perfect. Andre recommended a restaurant downtown, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was quite hearty for a continental style. The price was fantastic. Andre and Catherine were extremely helpful. Our French is limited and they even made a long distance phone call to arrange our B&B for the next night. Talk about service!! Now we need to get together with our friends to enjoy the bottle of wine we purchased from Andre's organic winery.

We made a two-night stop here on the way to Cognac. The welcome was warm and helpful, a secure bike store was offered. Rooms spacious and quiet, excellent beds. The breakfast was outstanding, lovely multi-grain breads, home-made grape juice and jams, fresh fruit salad one day and cake the other. All products organic! Just a step across the bridge took us to the local pizzeria - not very Italian but very nice pizzas in the wood-fired oven. And good wine-list, with some of the Domaine Dessus-bon-boire's products.We jogged along the river in the morning, some lovely walks along the tow-paths, taking you away from the roads (where if you see 5 cars an hour it's busy.

Along with our 2 children and spouses, and 3 grandchildren, we booked rooms for 4 nights. We had a wonderful experience. Beautiful and spacious, with kitchen available for our use. The common living area was roomy. The "family room" had two interconnecting bedrooms which was ideal with 3 little ones. Reasonable price. I can't say enough good things about this Bed and Breakfast.

About an hour walk along the river (or a short drive) from Auxerre, functional but somewhat disappointing given the positive reviews to date. Room was clean, very little ventilation on a warm night (with locks on the windows preventing them from opening more than a few inches - no A/C), breakfast adequate but unexceptional. Owner was not particularly friendly. Pizza restaurant across the bridge was excellent, as noted in other reviews.

Wonderful little B&B in a very quiet and peaceful village by the Yonne river a mere 6 km from central Auxerre. Rooms are spacious and very clean with nice bathrooms. The establishment seems to have undergone a very recent make-over.||||||Breakfast, with home made goodies, is a treat.

We stayed for one night in mid April. Excellent accommodation and a excellent breakfast including home made cherry and apricot preserves. Very pleasant host who contacted a local restaurant to reserve a table for us. We will definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant guest house about 6 km from Auxerre. Large rooms, common area on the main floor, wi-fi, good breakfast included, reasonable prices. There's not much in Vaux, but the pizza restaurant across the river is quite good.

We were a little concerned regarding some of the mixed Reviews, but our only real disappointment was that Andre has sold on his organic wine business. His Wine Cellar, was, however, an ideal temporary home for the fine wines that we had purchased, even at this early stage of our Holiday!!||||A lovely welcome and a beautiful Room kept us here for an extra night.||||The En-suite Bedrooms all seem to be freshly painted and are beautifully clean with the Breakfast Room and Kitchen, likewise. The Gust Lounge was very cosy.||||Andre, helpfully, booked a Table for us at the local Pizza Restaurant, which was OK, but an expensive bottle of Kronenbourg 1664 Beer, served unchilled (in France??!!), did rather let the show down. Not quite up to the mark. Sadly Vaux and the neighbouring Village have little to offer, in the way of Restaurants or Bars, making Auxerre the only real source of a good meal, or drink.||||We rather enjoyed the Breakfasts, which, whilst, not being the most generous that we had experienced, were perfectly adequate and always a good opportunity to chat with other (mainly French) Guests.||||Would definitely stay here if we return to this part of Burgundy.
