During our trip at Leavenworth, we stopped by at Andreas Keller Restaurant. You must make a reservation at 11:30 am in the morning for the day. They are always so packed.. However, the customer service is super! They're very fast in service and the servers are really top notch. We ordered the Cream of Kraut soup - yummy! We loved it. The Bavarian Beef Goulash is one of their top selling dishes - a must try! The fried potatoes were nice too :)

The food was pretty darn good. Better than expected in a very touristy area. I really like it since it was not overly salted. We had the classic +cordon Bleu schnitzels, pretzel, and hock. Better attentive service would've increased the experience.

Cute little restaurant with great German vibes. There was a man playing accordion and singing German songs which was a nice touch. Service was very fast. We got Schnitzel Salad with chicken breast fried which was good, Käsespätzle was different and quite good maybe a little under seasoned. Cream of sauerkraut was also pretty good!

It was a cold winter day when my husband, son and I, went to Leavenworth. We ate at Andreas on recommendations of a German friend in California. It was busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. The food was absolutely incredible, and the warmth inside on a cold day created the perfect ambience and atmosphere. Service was fast and efficient. The Bavarian fare is European standard with minimal salt which was great for me seeing as I, do not like salty foods. Clean bathrooms for a very touristy establishment.

Google
This fabulous little Bavarian restaurant is a cozy nook in a downstairs area away from the hustle and bustle from the street above. The service was fabulous, the bathrooms were clean, and the food was perfectly delicious German fare. We had a schnitzel salad and a sausage sampler and were delighted. If you’re in Leavenworth and you’re craving authentic German cuisine, you should stop here.

Google
The food was excellent. We had beef goulash, Cordon Bleu and sides of the potato salad and spaetzle. We sat outside, which unfortunately the picnic tables were not that comfortable, but it is great for people watching and to enjoy that last days of summer weather. The service was also excellent. The food was served quickly and a wonderful menu with a lot of selections, including German beer and desserts from the Ginger Bread House next door.

Google
I wanted a good German experience and that's just what I got. I've finally made it through all of the sausage collection and let me tell you. Phenomenal. The atmosphere is awesome with lots of German heritage to soak up and of course there are good brews to choose from!

One of our go-to places when we're in town. Made a reservation as we had a specific barrel booth in mind for sentimental reasons. The process was fast and friendly, including us popping in there the day before to make sure we needed to be on the wait list. Our server Tristan was super friendly, communicative, with a positive vibe. Drinks and food were served timely and were very delicious. It must certainly satisfied our European taste buds. The prices are as expected with the price hikes all around, but definitely on the higher side. The only thing noticed was the curtness of the other server helping a foreign family at the next table. She appeared short and somewhat impatient / condescending in tone. This is a place for foreigners, travelers, international people that may not speak English fluently. Servers should be prepared, trained for this and handle people patiently and with respect. This family at the table was super nice, respectful, not an annoyance in case someone is wondering. This is the only reason I'm tempted to give a 4 star to this place. Owners need to do better.

Yelp
The food was excellent. The service was great. the entertainment with the man playing the accordion was fun entertainment. I feel like we got the best overall German dining experience. Will definitely recommend and definitely be back if we're ever in the area again.

Yelp
Food was great and it was such a relief to find something other that sausage and bratwurst after two days in Leavenworth haha! The interior was very cute, german, and cozy! My oldest son and I shared half a chicken with sides and my boyfriend had the cordon blue. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was so accommodating to my son with ASD and food aversions and helped us all decide what to pick as far as food wine and beer. Also the man singing the accordion really made the night for us. He was so interactive with my family and we all left so happy and full. Great experience. Oh also we had no reservations, came on a weekday around 5/6pm and waited 40 minutes for 4 people. I'm glad we waited.

Yelp
Visited Leavenworth for the first time and was looking forward to trying Andreas Keller. Due to the busy holiday season, there can be long wait times if you put your name down through the Yelp app. I do recommend either calling the day of or go into the restaurant first thing when they open and putting your name down on their waiting list for the time that you would like to come and dine in. They'll ask for your name and phone number. I got a text notification and we were seated promptly. The restaurant was cozy and inviting. Our waiter was super welcoming and answered all of our questions. We ordered the Bavarian Beef Goulash and Breaded Pork Sahneschnitzel. The Bavarian Beef Goulash was tender and the spatzle noodles helped to soak up the rich flavorful sauce. The Breaded Pork Sahneschnitzel was hot, crispy, seasoned well and tender. It paired well with their homemade gravy. Overall this is a great place to enjoy cozy Bavarian food.

Yelp
I'm not able to write much of a review on Andreas Keller unfortunately. I called to be put on the waitlist around noon on Saturday. They where very kind and offered to put me on the list if anyone canceled as well as the waitlist for later that evening. An hour before our time I got a text canceling our waitlist. Its unfortunate they don't honor the waitlist they advertise.

Yelp
The restaurant's interior was very cute and cozy. We had a larger party (9) and they were able to accommodate us at ~12 pm on a sunday and we did not have to wait. I tried the goulash and schnitzel cordon bleu. I expected the beef in the goulash to be more tender and flavorful. There was also no textural contrast. The schnitzel was more flavorful (although very salty) I enjoyed it more than the goulash, but I also don't think it was great. Every bite tasted a bit different because the ingredients on the interior weren't spread out well. I also thought that this was pricey for what we got.

Yelp
Super packed during the winter if you plan to go. Once we were seated service was fast and our waiter was very friendly. Reminiscent of a beer hall in Germany, it was a bit chilly cause people kept opening the door. Food was good, a little over priced. For example, ordered a big pretzel and to have the side of cheese sauce it was an extra $6 and not very big. Goulash was very tasty. Might try somewhere new next time.

Yelp
Very good schnitzel!!! Both fried and grilled. The Beef Goulash was also absolutely delicious. Giving props to our waiter for being able to bring out a small dish of it with some rye bread on the side even though it's normally offered as a large main dish with sides. I was going to give it a perfect 5, however, we did have utensils and food dropped on us twice. Had it happen once, I would have just said ah forget about it, especially since we were accommodated very well in the beginning. Twice with stains on our shirts though, not the best. Totally fine if you need to make multiple trips to bring stuff back! Otherwise highly highly recommend!!

Yelp
Great atmosphere! I got the Classic Pork Wiener Schnitzel and my husband got the Bavarian Beef Goulash. We also got an order of fried potatoes to share. It was all great!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere; however, the food did not meet expectations. It was quite dry, and the pretzel appeared to be several days old. Additionally, the service was slow.

Yelp
We had such a great experience at Andreas Keller--this place nails the cozy Bavarian vibes and delivers on flavor, too. We tried a little bit of everything: - Glühwein was on the sweeter side for my taste, but still a fun seasonal sip. - Pretzel was perfect--definitely eat it while it's warm! - The rotisserie chicken was super flavorful, and the side of potatoes deserves its own shoutout. - We ordered the Jägerschnitzel with grilled chicken instead of the traditional version and it was still delicious--really well done. - And wow, the Black Forest cake. I've had plenty of modified versions over the years, but nothing comes close to this authentic one. Rich, balanced, and not overly sweet. Service was great--friendly and efficient. And the ambience? Loved it. It felt warm, festive, and charmingly old-world. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Leavenworth and want a solid Bavarian meal in a great setting!

Yelp
Came in here for dinner and opted to sit outside since i had my dog and to enjoy the weather and people watching. They have an outdoor patio directly across fro. The park with was perfect for my kiddo to play while we waited for our food. The service great as they checked on us often. I ordered the Giant Style "Muinch Atyle" Pork hock. It was huge! And the skin was crispy, however, very hard to chew. The meat also was not seasoned and lacked flavor. The red cabbage it came with tasted delicious. We also ordered the schnitzel and it was crispy and delicious. Overall, for the cost of the Pork hock was pricey and needed seasoning. But the restaurant and customer service was great! Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is an amazing German restaurant in downtown Leavenworth. We had the creamy kraut soup to start. It comes with bread and butter for dipping. The flavors were amazing and ordered another cup. We also had the beef goulash which was so tender and the beef gravy was so delicious. We also ordered the Jager schnitzel that came with kraut and spatzle. It was cooked perfectly and very delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is German theme and they have some cute nooks to sit in. It is very cozy and inviting inside. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want awesome German food!

Yelp
Great restaurant in a cute Bavarian town that felt pretty authentic. The ambiance and vibe felt very German. The menu had lots of German offerings. Our service was friendly and decently attentive. And the food was good. We feasted on a variety of tasty sausages. Would defeat here again. It was also, oddly, one of the least crowded restaurants on a day in this town that was hugely packed. This might have to do with it being downstairs off the street and not super flashy? It was one of the highest rated on Yelp with an authentic menu. And it definitely did not disappoint! And for a party of 5, we didn't need a reservation (which they don't take) or have to wait or anything.

Yelp
The ambiance is perfect for this cute little town. You feel like you're in a Disney movie . Service is friendly, very kind. The food was alright , not amazing . We ordered the German brat plate with sauerkraut and German potato salad - not great at all. We also ordered the kids schnitzel plate with fries and that was tasty. Overall it was a good experience with good service

Yelp
Quaint German restaurant located in the heart of Leavenworth! I enjoy coming here for the ambience. I've gotten the sausage sampler several times, and the pickled herring and giant pickle is delicious too!

Yelp
BEST RESTAURANT IN LEAVENWORTH! We always go here first and have dinner. I have just one thing on the menu that is my absolute favorite....Schnitzel Cordon Bleu! Hands down one of my favorite things ever. I sub out the spaetzle for the fried potatoes. I LOVE great food, and its late right now while I'm writing this and I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. It's going to get worse for me once I start adding the food pics :) You guys can't ever close, you can't ever take this off the menu ;) And let me add, WONDERFUL people there! Always friendly and everything comes out perfect and timely. Bathroom is always clean. And just look around at the decor! It all adds up to a PERFECT MEAL! My pics are from Octoberfest 2025, we go every year!

Yelp
We stopped in for a light dinner which is probably very funny given German food seems to be a bit heavy. We were greeted with some friendly hosts and an accordian player that was playing for what seemed to be a bachelorette party. It was definitely a lively atmosphere which we loved. We started off with beers on draft and a schnitzel salad. The salad was so light and fresh. The dressing was to die for. It seems like ranch but consistency was lighter. We also had a few sausages to finish off a low carb dinner. It was a good finish to an already gluttonous weekend.

Kelsey B.

Yelp
YUM! We had to call to add our names to the waitlist (5 hour wait, be sure to call ahead of time) and it was well worth the wait! This place is a must when in Leavenworth. The waitress was amazing and the pretzel with the mustard was a favorite from everyone at the table. The food came out fast and hot. 10/10!

Yelp
My partner and I wanted to try Schweinshaxe during our trip to Leavenworth and so we headed to Andreas Keller. We joined the waitlist on our way to the restaurant and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I love the vibe of this place. I find their booth seating quite charming. We got the Schweinshaxe for sharing. It was pretty good. It wasn't as crispy as it should be but it wasn't bad at all. We wished they had a bigger serving of the potatoes. I would say it's still good to try but you're not missing out if you decide not to. I'd love to try their other items next time. Our host and our server were both lovely.

Mike S.

Yelp
Holy smokes. My wife tackled the Bavarian Beef Goulash - I stuffed the Knackwurst in my face hole with taste buds and didn't disappoint. Awesome environment. Very authentic and great service. 100% recommend. We had dinner at 445pm on a Thurs, but even if you have over an hour on the waitlist I still recommend. You won't leave sad, you'll want to go back and try the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu like we do. Go. There. Now.
google avatar

Kerry B.

Yelp
This restaurant is on the main street and very popular. Get on the waitlist before you arrive, they'll text when your table is ready. The service was excellent despite being very busy and under staffed. The accordion musician was quite entertaining. The food was phenomenal and I wish I could have tried more. I had the schnitzel cordon bleu. So good! This place is a bit pricey but to be expected in a touristy location. I can definitely recommend this place, fun and delicious.

Yelp
I KNEW we had been here before! Once again the pork hock got us. Once we walked in we both said "I think we have been here before?" And then the closer we got to the bar the memories all came back. Once again that pork hock is fire. We get it and split it. This time we passed on the pretzel and instead got a sausage sampler and the cream of kraut. Both were delicious but the cream of kraut!? Holy cow!! I'm obsessed with sauerkraut so to make a soup out of it...chefs kiss. Once again we had amazing food here. I guess this is our go to spot now.
google avatar

Yelp
Quick lunch in Leavenworth while passing through. I have been wanting to stop and get some sausage for awhile now. Very happy I did! I was told the name of all 3 of the sausages by my very helpful server but unfortunately forgot them. They were all 3 delicious, the side of sauerkraut I also made them even taste better! Exactly what I was looking for and craving! The restaurant has a very comfortable German look and lots of seating! I went right around noon and was seated immediately, but it was pretty full by the time I left.

Yelp
Every time we come to Leavenworth, we always come to this restaurant for a reason. Their food is definitely a step above the other nearby places, so for us it's worth the wait. They do a proper giant pretzel, it's actually big and fluffy with dipping options like mustard and cheese. They accommodate small children very well too, so for our family have been a great experience before and after having little ones. They're centrally located in town, and has a nice Bavarian feel inside. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We haven't been to Leavenworth in 2 years. It's really good to see that the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu is still just as flavorful as ever! I have been looking forward to this dish for over 400 miles and it did not disappoint. Thankfully we are here now, which seems to be the off season for tourism, so lucky for us there was no waiting. The Schnitzel was breaded well and stuffed with layers of ham and Swiss. It was fairly large and tender, easy to cut. The sauce and spätzle are a magic combination of flavors. Seriously, this dish is addictive and I will be back tomorrow for another.
google avatar

Krista T.

Yelp
Authentic German American owned. Love this place and their food. It's always super busy for a reason. Put your name in at least an hour before you want to eat. Pork knuckles are massive but authentic and delicious. Friendly service.
google avatar

Katherine C.

Yelp
Unfortunately the main of the dish I ordered, the chicken, was overcooked, dry, and didn't have much flavor. My favorite part of the Chicken Oktoberfest was the sides: German potato salad and red cabbage(both were cooked well and well spiced). I had some of the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and it was alright. The Bavarian pretzel was good, but I felt like the alpine cheese sauce was overpriced ($6 for just the sauce). $19 in total for the pretzel and cheese sauce
google avatar

Angela Q.

Yelp
musician was amazing. food was mostly good. the cordon bleu was excellent. pork hock was fry and tough to cut thru. saurkraut was one of the best i've had.
google avatar

Yelp
Thanks Natalie for making my birthday extra special! We'll be back just for your amazing customer service!

Yelp
What a fun little restaurant with delicious food! My husband and I made reservations on the morning of the day we wanted to have dinner there and they were able to add us on their list. Upon arrival, there was a little bit of a wait but nothing terrible and we were seated at a table. The ambiance is really warm and inviting. They had live music going on and the gentleman singing and playing was very talented. He serenaded us and sang a special song for our little baby on the way which was really cute and heart warming. Food was tasty and we enjoyed the drinks! - Cola and fanta mix - super refreshing and loved this a lot! - sauerkraut soup - very tasty and the perfect start to our dinner - schnitzel was tasty and well seasoned - sausage with potato salad and kraut - also very solid. It threw me off because the sausage was a very pale white color but it tasted good! Overall, I really loved this restaurant but it definitely gets super busy here so I highly recommend reservations if you come during peak season/dinner time

Yelp
I hate to sound like a know it all and I'm not the authority on German cuisine but I have had my fair share of it and lived over 10 years there and most of my childhood as an army brat eating at tons of gasthauses with my family. I really wanted to like this place but found it pretty meh (same experience I've had with every restaurant I've eaten at in Leavenworth). While the food may look the part, it just doesn't hit home. I had the jaegarschnitzel and my wife ordered the bratwurst. It wasn't bad but also wasn't good. And for what we spent...over $100 for 2 people, it was pretty disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I like the decor of the restaurant as it felt like being in Germany. You know it's not authentic when the brotchen they serve is you is nothing more than your average dinner roll. It certainly didn't have the hard crust you'd expect. If you are looking to authentic German Brotchen, there is a nice German deli in Lakewood, WA that has stuff pretty close to what you'd get from a real German bakery. The portions were large for the jaegerschnitzel and you could share a single order between two people. Also, the location is in a basement and there's no elevator or access for disabled people. Give it a try tho and judge for yourself.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time here. We come EVERY year for our "dating anniversary" and it is great! We came over the last weekend of Jan last year and it was TOO BUSY for us to have dinner. But this year on a Tuesday we got seated right Away. Had the beef goulash and the Wiener schnitzel- amazing! And BECKY was a great waitress. On top of serving us. We ordered the The Gewurtzrameiner and got the bottle. Which was great, since we didn't finish it got to take it in a to go bag. Nice energy as the place wasn't crowded compared to any weekend night

Eun C.

Yelp
We had our puppy with us. They have outdoor seating! Friendly staff and delicious food! So accommodating. Because they combined two dishes for us! Schnitzel and Schweinshaxe combined! Brilliant! Yes for the additional cost for schnitzel and the mushroom sauce. Sauce is must! Fun and tourist area, easy access to shops and bathrooms! FYI, tables are very narrow and wobbly. You may seat closer than you like.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my meal. Pork was seasoned nicely and very tender. I shared my serving, could have easily eaten one myself. Staff were very pleasant. The wait time was a little long, but worth it. Would do it again. Cute little restaurant. Felt like was in Germany.
google avatar

Yelp
Went in around 1pm on a Saturday and there was a 10ish min wait to get a table. The restaurant was packed with people. Therefore, the ambiance was quite loud with strong yellow lighting and a cabin feel. The waiter was nice. Portions are quite large. We shared 3 dishes amongst 5 people. We ordered the cordon bleu, Andreas Keller sampler and the beef goulash. Everything was just okay. The cordon bleu was the best, which is why it is the most popular dish here. The pork chop on the sampler was dry. The sausages were not bad, nothing impressive. The potatoes were simple. The goulash was alright. The texture of the egg noodles was a miss for me. Overall I don't think the food was bad, but I don't think it was for me. Everything wasn't piping hot and the food came out fast, which made it seem like everything was already prepared.

Yelp
When in Leavenworth, this is a must eat at restaurant. Be sure to go day of at 11:30 when they open and get your name on the waiting list, as I do not take reservations. We put our name down for 545 and we got a text message and we snapped by 5:50. We were a group of six, so this was great!! The atmosphere is nostalgic! Overall, the food was fantastic. A little pricey for what it was, but when you're on vacation in Leavenworth, getting the experience is worth it. My only downside was $7 for a soda was ridiculous. My fault for not looking at that price prior to ordering drinks. I would definitely recommend this place, the chicken Cordon Bleu schnitzel was delicious. The spetzel was also delicious. The apple dessert was tasty, but barely even warmed. Would be much better if it was hot., cars was barely warmed. Overall, make the reservation and enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food

Yelp
The restaurant is in a basement and a bit hard to see from the street, but don't miss it! Having lived in Munich and Vienna, I was delighted to see old familiar dishes executed very well. I recommend the schnitzels, which used very tender meat and was delicious. The apple streudel comes from the very good adjacent bakery, but they serve it with sweat cream and whipped creamed, warmed up, with cinnamon and sugar... it was heavenly. Ambiance is fun and lively, and quite loud during busy times. There's traditional live music. It's a joy. The restaurant did their best to accommodate food allergies, which I very much appreciated. Vegetarians and vegans may find the options limited. Service was excellent for us. We came during peak meal time, and it was obvious out waitress was quite busy, but she still took time with us and attended to us well. Be aware that this is, for very good reasons, a popular restaurant, and as such there can be a wait. There's a wait list you sign up for online or in person, and you get texted when it is your time. We waited at the nearby cidery and the wait was quite shorter than quoted.

Yelp
Was in line when AK opened and we were was promptly seated. Schnitzels were on our mind so we ordered a senior and a regular. Both with potato salad. Everything was great! The AK mustard, which you can buy on the way out, was really tasty and went well with the schnitzel. Service was fast. Server was very pleasant and attentive. Food was delivered quickly. Can't ask for much better! Would definitely return.

Yelp
Went to this gem during Octoberfest. The food is authentic and delicious. Customer service was great as well. I enjoyed the bavarian bratswurst, sauerkraut, and potato salad. The portion size was just right. I tried the wine spritzer which was different and delicious:) Also, there was live music. The atmosphere was kind of loud, but again I was here during Octoberfest.... It was apart of the experience.
google avatar

Vickie D.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered a couple of schnitzels to share- the Jägerschnitzel and the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu. Both were delicious, and we loved the spatzle noodles they came with. Sooooooo good! If you like beer, there was a good selection. However, there was only a red and a white for those who prefer wine. The atmosphere was lively with live accordian music and a few rambunctious tables who got hold of the marionettes! It was fun, but you might want to choose a different place if you are looking for something more quiet.

Yelp
What a fantastic restaurant! We were starving after a long day and decided to stop for some food in Leavenworth before getting on the long highway drive home. It was later in the evening so not all of Leavenworth's restaurants were open but thankfully Andreas Keller was! When we went inside and were immediately hit with the delicious smell of food and live music played on an accordion. It was packed so we knew we'd have a bit of a wait. My husband went to put us on the waitlist and we decided to wait outside. We were originally told about 40 minutes but we were texted only 20 minutes later saying our table was ready. We were lucky enough to be sat in one of the cozy wooden booths! A few minutes later, our waiter came over to take our order. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. It was very busy so we weren't expecting it to be much quicker, plus we were really enjoying listening to the man play the accordion. How often do you get to hear that? First bite: It. Was. DELICIOUS. After hiking in the mountains all day, this was the best, most comforting meal we'd had in a long time. It was hot, and so tasty. Everything was perfect. 10/10. The last time we were here was when we were kids in high school. In general, we haven't been to Leavenworth in years. I can safely say that we will be returning to Andreas Keller every time we're in town from now on!

Yelp
I didn't see an option to make a reservation, but there's an option for a waitlist. I put us on the waitlist around 4:30pm, and we were 35th in line! Around 5:30, we were about 15th in line, but we decided to go in anyway. We gave our name to the server and told her where we were at in line, and luckily, she said there was a communal table available. We are okay with communal tables, so we took it. There was live entertainment next to us. We ordered pickled herring, schnitzel cordon bleu, sahne schnitzel, and apple strudle. I definitely would not recommend pickled herring. I don't know why I was expecting something similar to anchovies, which I love btw, but cold pickled herring was not my cup of tea. Schnitzel portions were huge! I think we could've shared one schnitzel. The sauces for the schnitzel cordon blue and sahne schnitzel looked very similar. I am not a fan of the extra $3 charge for breaded schnitzel. I used to live in Germany, and all the schnitzels I've had were breaded, so I'm surprised why they have an upcharge for it. I've had schnitzel many times, and the breading here was too thick and appeared heavily friend. Still good flavor, but I'm used to lighter breading on my schnitzels. We were full, but we made room for apple strudle, and I'm glad we did. Overall, food was okay, but great experience for the Leavenworth Bavarian theme.

Yelp
Andreas Keller runs on a first come, first serve basis, no reservations taken. Just call or hop online the day of to get added on the waitlist. Also, it's underground, yes, you'll have to go full Hobbit to get to your table. (Didn't spot any wheelchair access from where we entered, so you might want to double-check.) We visited on a lively Saturday evening and were immediately whisked into an old-world Bavarian wonderland. Live accordion music by Jakob Bean had me feeling like I just stumbled into Oktoberfest and should be wearing lederhosen (which the staff & Jakob were) and holding a stein. The hostess was friendly & quick to check us in, lead us to our cozy wooden stall & provide menus. If you're feeling social, the bigger tables might surprise you with some new dining companions - because nothing says "authentic Bavarian experience" like breaking bread with strangers! After a few minutes of menu browsing, the busser made his debut with water and utensils. Feel we saw him more often than our actual waitress, who popped by briefly to greet, ask if we had any questions, then disappeared into the Bavarian mist. If you're into a less is more approach to service, you'll feel right at home. The drink menu is as impressive as the pretzels are large. I went with a Helles light lager - a sensible choice, since I had to hit the road the next day. I wasn't trying to overdo it and end up polka dancing all night to Jakob's lively accordion jams. The beer? Just as expected: light, crisp, and perfect for a Bavarian evening. For food, I went all-in with the Sahneschnitzel, a breaded and grilled delight smothered in homemade cream sauce, served with Spatzle. It was a hearty portion, and I managed to conquer the entire plate. The Schnitzel was piping hot and flavorful after a quick dash of salt and pepper. The Spatzle, on the other hand, arrived at room temperature and tasted as if it had taken a detour before landing on my plate. Dessert looked amazing, but alas, there's only so much room in a human stomach. In a nutshell: Andreas Keller is great for authentic Bavarian eats and live accordion magic. The food and drinks will keep you merry, and the music will transport you to another era, but don't expect the service to sweep you off your feet. Still, worth the trip! Prost!

Yelp
Yes I like this place...a lot. We go to Andreas Keller when we come to Leavenworth. I've never been to Germany so have nothing to compare the authenticity but get this....I don't care. The Jaegerschnitzel is my favorite. The grilled version vs the breaded. Pounded flat and grilled with Swiss cheese on top smothered in mushroom gravy with spaetzel and warm weinkraut. I would eat that everyday if I wanted to weigh 400 lbs. This time I tried it with a side of German fried potatoes. Mix with the mushroom gravy.....Winner Winner Schnitzel dinner! We also got the sausage sampler. You get to choose three of their offerings with mustard. We chose Knackwurst, Bratwurst, and Debreziner (smoky and spicy). My only knock (get it?) is the sausage could have been hotter temperature wise. The bratwurst especially was on the cooler side. Maybe that's the traditional way to serve them but I needed them to be warmer. Okay I can hear the warm sausage cracks! That's not what I meant and you know it! Anyway we like it. The gent singing traditional German songs playing the accordion is a nice touch.

Yelp
I visited Leavenworth post-Oktoberfest, so the city was hauntingly quiet with a few tourist here and there. I had dinner at Andreas Keller around 7:30pm. It was a slow Monday night with maybe 8 or so parties, so I got seated almost immediately. The decor was delightful with twinkle lights and booths shaped like wooden barrels. The waiter was very attentive and gave some good food recommendations. I ordered the Classic Pork Wiener Schnitzel, which was perfectly cooked and traditionally seasoned. The pork was tenderized so well that I could cut it with just a spoon. The lemon wedge added some nice acidity to the breading and the mustard added tanginess. The potato salad was good, too. As a traditional German potato salad, it had an apple cider vinegar base, which was a tart contrast to the fried schnitzel breading. I'm more of a mayonnaise girlie, but it was great to try. Next time, I would definitely try the Sahne Schnitzel, which comes with a homemade cream. The food was priced typical to what you'd expect for a tourist town; you're paying for the ambiance. There was even a musician playing the accordion and singing in German. If you're looking for a traditional German dinner, look no further than Andreas Keller!

Yelp
This hidden restaurant is downstairs. The exit was painted and the seating and layout of the restaurant was German vibes. I came here for a German dinner, but I decided on the Bavarian Beef Goulash. It has beef in a brown sauce, served with homemade spätzle noodles. It tasted like a beef stew with pasta. It was good but nothing amazing. The polish sausage was delicious though! I should've just gotten a sausage platter. The apple strudel for dessert was flavorful but there's not enough pastry for me. I was hoping for a crunchy texture but it was soft. Service was excellent though. Everyone is friendly, cheerful, and kind! 5/5 for service for sure.

Yelp
Our favorite place to come every single time we are in Leavenworth. The black Forrest cake is also a favorite.

Yelp
We couldn't leave Leavenworth with having German food. This cute little place is downstairs and they have all the classics, a great beer selection, good service, and fun music. It's hard not to have a good time while here. We started off with the pretzel which had a texture more like a roll than the chewy texture I am used but the mustard that came with it was amazing. You can even buy a jar of it if you would like, and we did. I had the beef goulash which was hearty and filling. I left there stuffed but luckily the town is so cute you can walk it off afterwards. The finished our meal with the apple strudel which was just ok. It lacked flavor in my opinion and the dough was a bit too soggy for my liking. This place is absolutely worth checking out of you want to fully immerse yourself into the Bavarian village theme of the town.
