Farm where you can pick your own fruit/flowers. In August, they have this massive sunflower field. Pro-tip: if you go closer to 4pm (they technically close at 4.30-5pm-ish), they waive the admission fee for you.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had an amazing time at Andrew’s Scenic Farm! I went strawberry picking and the berries were incredibly juicy and sweet—definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The whole experience was relaxing and fun, especially the tractor ride, which gave a lovely view of the farm. After picking, I grabbed a grilled cheese and chilli from the food area, and it hit the spot—comforting, warm, and surprisingly delicious for a farm stand! The staff were friendly, and everything felt welcoming and family-friendly. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here. Can’t wait to come back in the fall for pumpkin season! 🍓🚜🥣🧀

An absolutely beautiful farm and a majestic landscape that's just outside the city walls. My friend and I had come for strawberry picking and when we arrived, there were bountiful rows on rows of fresh, ripe strawberries ready to be picked. There truly is something special about seeing how and where our food comes from and picking it for yourself. Truly a wonderful farm to plate experience.

The Easter egg hunt event over the weekend was good! $15 for 3+ age for 1-5pm is a decent price. Tractor ride + games + farm animals a good 2-3 hours can be spent here. Campfire an added positive on a chilly day. Overall it was a good afternoon. At the barn they have small snacks section and coffee and was well decorated with spring /Easter theme. Must say It's good for kids.

We had such a great time at Andrews Farm. We visited two years ago and loved it, so we had to make another trip this year. The strawberries were so lovely and sweet. We got our tickets online this time, so we could head straight in without waiting to buy a ticket. There are so many activities for kids, and lots of animals for little ones to see like goats, llamas, roosters, pigs. The tractor ride to the strawberry picking areas were also a great addition to the experience.

Beautiful Place with a Few Bumps Along the Way 🌿🍓 Andrews Farm Market & Winery is a beautiful spot to unwind and connect with nature. The strawberry picking was fantastic ripe fruit, lots of space to explore, and a relaxing farm atmosphere overall. Everything felt fresh and well cared for, from the fields to the market itself. One thing I appreciated was the seasonal variety of fruits and vegetables 🌽🥕🍏 they post what’s available throughout the year, which makes planning future visits easy. That said, the space seems mostly geared toward families and couples, which could feel a bit exclusive depending on the vibe you’re looking for. Also, just a heads-up for anyone with mobility issues: the terrain is a little tricky, and while they do have a rocking chair up front, it’s not exactly the most private spot to relax 😅 you’re kind of on display. Still, it’s a well-run, peaceful, and high-quality farm experience. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a break from the city and some fresh air.

Google
I have been to this farm every year for the last maybe 15 years mostly for pick your own strawberries or blueberries and I enjoyed it. I went today for pick your own strawberries and they are CHARGING 19.15 $ ( including HST) / PER ADULT - ONLY TO ENTER ON THE FARM PREMISES. This is ridiculouse already - regardless of the inflation. You will pay in addition to this 4.75$ / pound of strawberries that you picked.

Google
here to pick strawberries, walkin admission is $18 and getting QR code ticket online is $15, adding $1 for 2lbs strawberries basket and adding $2 for 4lbs, you don’t have to reserve i just paid online after arriving. it was weekday so it’s not packed and i had a nice experience, just don’t expect the strawberries to be so big and sweet

Google
Little quantity of blueberry fruits on the tree. Most are still raw, color in white or light blue. Picked a few darker ones, most are sour. Im surprises that they open it for picking up blueberry before it gets matured. They charge fee for entrance only, even not taking any out. We have been to others farm last year, which was much better.

Yelp
Great location and fun. Let's you bring dogs. Don't eat the food though. It's nice that they have kids running it but my burger and sausage were burnt and dry. Burger was also heavily freezer burned. Unservable.

Yelp
* I would not book another event at Andrews' farm, very difficult to deal with the event planner and farm store manager * Many other farms in the area with much nicer facilities and staff

Yelp
My friend was excited to visit this farm for the first time to view the sunflowers, even though it was a bit late in the season. I have to say, it was very far, but once we reached the outer skirts of Mississauga into Milton, I found the drive very peaceful. The farm is on 165 acres of escarpment countryside, and the current admission is $12/per person over the age of 5 years old. There were plenty of parking spots on the grassy areas, and washrooms are available. Inside the main building is a winery and shop that sells homemade goodies, including tarts, pies, jams, drinks, fresh fruits ... but on the pricey side! I personally can't imagine paying $18.50 for a pie made with lard. A bbq lunch is available on weekends. Note that you can't bring outside food onto the grounds. We brought a lunch but ended up tailgating. We missed the berry picking season (sold by weight), but I was pleasantly surprised to see many chickens running around right at my feet! The baby goats were adorable. They also had pigs, ducks, sheep, and other animals. There were plenty of beautiful dahlias ($2 each), but some of the sunflowers were wilting. In hindsight, early August would have been ideal. We came on a cloudy day but still captured some nice photos. We had an enjoyable afternoon.

Yelp
I love visiting them, beautiful landscape, perfect atmosphere and a lot of do. A perfect photo-scenic place :) when times were nt pandemic, it was filled with so much to eat and much more. We went there for our daughter's 7th month Birthday on a weekday, so our visit was for free. We took so many pics, stayed there for 3 hours, could have stayed more if she wouldn't be tired. We bought our carving pumpkins, cookies, some frozen fruits from there. Also their strawberry wine, it is different, sweet but nothing out of the league. Generally I would always have thier ice creams and corns but in my last visit there wasn't outside food stalls Ofcourse due to pandemic, last autumn there were a plenty. They have sunflower field's where you can do a perfect photoshoot. Along with pumpkin decorations, haystacks, farm animals, mazes, and much much more. It just awesome to spend a day away from the city ona huge farm with a beautiful landscape.

Yelp
Sorry but not worth the day trip! Staff is nice but just like what other yelpers have mentioned, Andrew's farm is quite expensive. I left with a small basket of blueberries and their apple wine. Probably won't come back unless I'm in the area PYO - $15/person Pies- $36 Wine - $16-30 Berries/fruits - $4.5/LB

Yelp

Yelp
On the upcoming trend of farms and people taking pictures in them, we came to Andrew's Scenic Acres for the flower picking (two years in a row!) which I really enjoyed. Although I haven't done produce picking here, they boast different areas of items to pick throughout the seasons from spring to fall. This is one of my favourite farms to visit and it is dog friendly too which is rare so I brought my pup the last time. The pick-your-own flowers experience is always a highlight of mine and no need to be Instagram-shy here, the farm and fields are so large that you usually have a nice, clear background with no people in it and you can stay for as long as you want! Adjusting your expectations is also key; the farm is simple, vast, and clean. While their operations are not crazy high tech or ~made~ for tourism (for example: if you've ever been to Chudleigh's, you'll understand), they have nice decorations out and it's a good and solid place to visit for picking without the huge crowds. The staff are also really nice and helpful, and their instagram is active with their website almost always up-to-date on their offerings. The only thing I would maybe improve on is having more scissors for people cutting flowers!! Last time all the flower cutting scissors were gone so we had to stand by awkwardly and wait for people to finish. All in all, love this place and have no complaints. Just wish it were closer to me so I could visit more often. :)

Yelp
It's a nice place, caters to the tourist crowd escaping the city for a few hours. EXCELLENT CORN. Huge! Purchased good Ontario garlic too. They have a variety of home made items. Cute place. Not cheap.

Yelp
It is a must go place if you are around in the Milton area and if not, it is only about 50 mins drive away from Toronto! It definitely was a family friendly trip but can also be a great date idea. We went specific during their blueberry picking time because we wanted a bunch of blueberries to make pies, vinaigrette, jams and more! All the blueberries in this photo only cost us $21 for 5 lbs ! If you want to pick other fruits too, they have raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries but you have to watch out for the right season time! The most interesting thing is that they have a winery as well with fruity light drinks. We also got a jar of their hot honey mustard and oh my goodness, it is perfect with sandwiches this place is definitely a hidden gem and you should come and check it out !
google avatar

Yelp
went there during strawberry picking season, June and was really disappointed. They charge an admission fee to pick strawberries and then charge $4/lb for the strawberries you pick. I've noticed other farms in Southern Ontario will charge an admission fee only and give you a basket to fill with strawberries at no additional charge.

Yelp
Decided to visit Andrews on my day off and it was amazing! Had a chance to pick some fresh flowers and blueberries. Andrews is about 55 mins out of Downtown Toronto. A great day trip option. Once you get there, you can tour/walk around the 12 acre farm land until it closes at 5:00pm. There are many types of berries you can pick from raspberries to blueberries. The cost on the weekdays are $6.00 and on weekends $12.00 person. You can bring your own basket or you can take one of theirs for $1.00 deposit. The berries are about $4.00 a lb which is well worth it. The flowers are $2.00 each steam (includes the Sunflowers too) This is a great place for families with children as the kids can experience the hard work that goes into harvesting berries that they love so much. TIP: Bring your own water bottle as you will be walking a lot under the sun and also bring a mask. Due to Covid, you must wear a mask inside the shop. Also you must try their ice cream/frozen yogurt (made with fresh berries) $4.00 each. Also GET THE CORN!!!!

Yelp
To be fair, I think I just visited at the WRONG TIME for the wrong purpose. I wanted to check the place out for breakfast. My visit was on Halloween day and the staff was prepping for their Winter market. The door for the "market", basically a small grocery store in a barn, was kept open and it was COLD. Staff was eventually moving things around, into the market, etc. There were carafes of coffee and Apple Cider. I didn't have much confidence in the coffee as the female worker had Tim Horton's. I eventually got the Apple Cider...which is outsourced. I also got the butter tarts...which are also outsourced. I asked the worker and she told me. Package of 6 butter tarts were $6 (outsourced), pies were $11 (probably outsourced), produce was like $1/tomato (who knows), etc. So don't expect a bargain or the baked goods to be homemade. The guy running the wine portion of the store and the greeter, in particular, were very friendly! The female worker just seemed as though she was trying to keep warm. I think this place may be OK if you have kids and go to an event such as the "Pumpkin Patch" or berry picking, but other than that, not really what I expected.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Andrews Scenic farm. The sunflowers are beautiful :). There are beautiful doors as well :).

Yelp
We came here for blueberry picking and had a good time, despite a few downsides. They charge a $5 entry fee on weekends. They also charge for the basket, though it gets deducted from your final price after you weigh your berries. It can get quite crowded so I recommend coming here early in the morning. Their ice cream is pretty good: they got a machine like yogen fruz where they put a block of ice cream or yogurt, and a spoonfull of their own frozen berries, and then they press it until the ice cream comes out. They have bathrooms with running water, which is very convenient.

Yelp
This farm is really great. Its a working farm so you really get the full farm experience. It's large and open and they have a wonderful store with several homemade items. They even have wine here if that's your jam!! We tasted a walnut tart and it was oh so yummy. We went on the wagon ride which was very scenic. You can see sunflowers here apples and pumpkins too. Warmer times during the year they have other fruits you can pick. In the fall they have a haunted trail and a pumpkin patch that you can walk to or take the wagon. Tons of pumpkins and gourds of your choosing with wheel barrows to help you out. Staff was really nice. Our family had a blast here and we will surely be back during different seasons as well.

Yelp
This place is the definition of overrated. There's a cover charge to get in. $10/person for the privilege of picking your own flowers and produce. The acres are somewhat scenic, but hardly worth the cost of admission. If you've got little kids, consider going on a weekday with admission is half price. They're sure to ensure enjoy the tractor ride, and corn maze. Otherwise you could spend your money better. For the adult couple, go to Haute Goat instead where it's free to roam the grounds, and paying money actually gets you something, cuddling goats!
google avatar

Daniel Y.

Yelp
Couldnt pick anything for very long. The storm shut us down and we weren't allowed to be out on the field. Good thing they had a shop with home made wines. Grabbed a case of wine and we were off.
google avatar

Carlos S.

Yelp
Great spot for picking berries such as blueberries, raspberries, etc. You get charged based on the weight of what you buy. Although you can buy one of their baskets we preferred to bring our own. We visited toward the end of July on a hot day so it was a good thing that they have a wagon taking you around to the various spots every 15 minutes. They have decent elevated bathrooms and a great store where you can buy water if needed. You could bring a water bottle but there are no refill stations so keep that in mind. We would certainly visit again.

Yelp
loved this place! Ended up going on a rainy day but it was still everything I hoped for. There was so much mud from the rain and I thought I was going to get stuck in the parking lot! I noticed they put wood chips down to.help this though. Admission was $5 for adults and free for my son. I was hoping to bring him here to run around, pick some apples, and get some treats. They have a beautiful flower garden, that i didn't expect, that you can hand pick or purchase pre picked. They have pick ur own apples as well as good sized store that provides baked goods, fresh fruit, veggies, ice cream ans frozen yogurt. They also have coffee outside and fresh bbq corn . My son loved the tractor/hay ride. The owner took us on a long tour to show us the property and pointed out the special spots. Can't edplain how much we lived this place and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
3 stars so far because I came here in the winter just to buy someone a bottle of wine because she's a pain in the ass and she like this wine . Also bought a pie it was great like 5 stars and priced great . I will have to come back in the summer to up my review .

Yelp
This fun farm gets full points for snacks and junk food alone. It's unbelievable how far some change in my pocket went to savour the snack food. The corn on the cob, dipped in butter, and then held at each end with pieces of corn husk was fantastic! And the pastry, so enjoyable. The atmosphere is quite laid back and relaxed compared to the hustle and bustle of a rural Ontario flea market where this type of food can be found as well. It is a scenic farm where you can walk around aimlessly which is always good for the soul. The drive there is scenic too, so what are you waiting for??

Amy S.

Yelp
My husband and I needed a break from our normal "covid" routine - the staff were awesome - cute animals - and the rhubarb patch was bliss - the sun, the heat and gorgeous breeze - coming back for my birthday in august for berries!
google avatar

Yelp
Where do I start! This place is amazing! My boyfriend and myself have made it a yearly thing that we visit this place at least once during the fall. It's so cozy going all bundled up with the crisp fall air and sipping a hot cup of cider. They have wagon rides, corn maze, haunted forest, you can pick your own pumpkins, they sell hotdogs, sausages and corn on the cob outside to eat while you're there and then inside the main building you can buy sparkling cider, countless baked goods including pies, tarts, and cookies, maple syrup, candies, and they also have a separate room where you can buy their wine. It's a very neat little place. Glad it's part of my yearly traditions. Can't wait until next year!

Yelp
Holy swarming orthodox children in religious garb, Batman! There's approximately 7 ripe strawberries left at this farm yet it's still teeming with families and children, mostly of the religious breeder variety. Avoid at all costs on weekends, especially long ones and don't go towards the end of strawberry season. They'll make you ride a dusty, exhaust spewing tractor to get to a field you could have *easily* walked to, just to find tiny, unripened little strawberries. The right thing to do would have been to close the field for re-growth or declare end of season, but I guess that wasn't all that important to them. The raspberries weren't in season yet but for some inexplicable reason people were picking them unripe, probably because there were no strawberries left. No one working here seemed to care. Many people were eating strawberries before they paid. Not tasting, eating. The farm market left a lot to be desired and the pre-picked stuff looked like it was picked several days earlier but was very expensive. Butter tarts had no ingredients labeled and they were selling canning accessories as if their berries were up to snuff. There's an unsupervised playground area, petting zoo and all kinds of gimmicky things for children. If you're looking for nice berries for jam making, look elsewhere. This place seems to have degenerated into a circus to entertain children for an afternoon and the fruit has just become the sideshow.

Gabi S.

Yelp
I love this farm. Plenty of room to walk around. All sorts of berries and animals to pet.... flowers. The people on the farm are most wonderful too. I am a regular visitor :) You can walk anywhere you want and taste the berries, complete freedom. I would like to thank the owners for opening their doors to us. I always pick lots of blueberries. btw it's organic.
google avatar

Paul. R.

Yelp
This was a great farm.. Took my kids and went strawberry picking.. Very large fields for all their fruits and quality.. I also like their store home fresh mad pies, ice cream and they also sell their fruit plants to grow your own.. Not certified organic but they say the don't use pesticides and herbicides..

Niala S.

Yelp
I purchased a season's pass this year because it's worth going every month while they're open. Every month is a new crop or flower that you can pick-your-own. Everything from peonies, dahlias, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, sunflowers, pumpkins etc. They also have a hayride/ tractor ride (because of covid you have to sign up ahead of time but this used to be just line up and wait). My favourite are the barnyard animals, chickens, turkey, ducks, goats, pigs and even alpacas! A couple times while we were in the fields picking berries someone would find a baby chick lol. Each kenneled area also has a post where you can buy a handful of feed for 25 cents. It's fun to watch the kids have the animals eat out of their hands. There's also a couple of play areas for the kids to enjoy as soon as you walk in. And definitely check out their market that has fresh produce and other goodies from local vendors. Most importantly, do not leave without sampling and of course buying a bottle (or four) of the wine they make on site. I love every one of the fruit wines that I've tried. The blueberry is probably my favourite.

Jukkendar S.

Yelp
There no much berries available so cost for entree is not fair price. Pricey.. extra cost for sun flowers sight seeing and photos.
google avatar

Curt C.

Yelp
Not really a winery it's a country store that sales wine you can sample you get a sip out of a plastic shoot glass

Yelp
Andrews' Scenic Acres is a solid pick your own place not too far away from Toronto. They have a huge farm with all types of berries, lots of tasty treats like yoghurt and baked goods and a wide variety of wines made from their own fruit. In the past we have been to a pick your own place called Young's further down in the Niagara area. Young's clearly has the most delicious raspberries and blueberries and you can pick something like four or five kinds of blueberries. Before I went there I had no idea there was more than one kind of blueberry. Andrews' is definitely much more convenient to reach from Toronto and the fruit is nice. While it could have been the season we were not loving the raspberries so we skipped them altogether -- I have had sweeter ones elsewhere -- and they only had one variety of blueberry which was nice but not as good as others I have tried. So, this is a great place to go but you might be able to find even better fruit elsewhere.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
This place has it all! Pumpkins, pick-your-own flower and fruit fields, cute barnyard animals, haywagon rides, and a store where you can purchase wine and baked goods. Came here for the first time recently, and I know it's going to become a new fall tradition.
google avatar

Amelie L.

Yelp
I love picking my own apples. They have a good selection and even have pumpkins! What I don't like is the $5 entry fee that is not consistent. My husband and I walked in and had to pay $10 but 5 minutes later, no one was watching the entrance and a whole group walked in for free. That's a little annoying when that $10 could have went to apples! Also their staff aren't very knowledgable. I asked someone who worked there what kind of squash they had in the bin and they said they didn't know. Not impressed...there are plenty of places around there for free that we'll be going to next year.

Tommy M.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday afternoon so the children were limited and it was very quiet. The staff was very nice. We picked until out hearts were content. Raspberries, blueberries, and currents. All were excellent. My only issue is they seem to nickle you to death and the signs indicate it. They also wanted to charge us for the baskets at the end. Not sure we will be back due to the cost. Not as cheap as you think. But friendly people and great variety.

Thao H.

Yelp
Best Apple Crumble Pie EVER!!!! Made in house to purchase warm and ready to eat. Second time here this year with my parents and I love it. The place is clean, friendly service, and great prices for pick it yourselfers lol. You can either walk or take the free wagon ride and there is a nice park and pony rides for the kids. They've also got wicked icecream and a cute little BBQ hut. Decent amount of tables for those who want to BBQ or just hang around. Best part of all is that its a short distance from home for us in Mississauga. Highly recommend! We did two full large baskets of strawberries and paid only $22.

Rina K.

Yelp
It was very, very disappointing to see that the rate is now $10 A PERSON JUST TO ENTER THE FARM. No discount for children over 3 years old ! We used to go every year, but this is absolutely the last time. $40 for a family of 4 to pick subpar strawberries that cost $4.99 a pound! Do they know how many perfect strawberries one can buy for $40+ at NoFrills?! Rip off.

Vivek A.

Yelp
The best strawberry picking farm. The strawberries are the best I have had. Very organized and friendly staff. Very clean set up and reasonable prices. This farm is going to be my yearly tradition for strawberry picking. A must see.
google avatar

Kaoutsar E.

Yelp
Love this farm. Great place to breath some fresh air, and get in touch with nature without having to drive too far. As far as food is concerned, I would recommend that they get another vegetarian option than the current vegetarian hot dog which has no taste at all. Otherwise I love the corn on the cob and everything else. Was there twice before and look forward to a third visit.

S A.

Yelp
Wonderful place! I've been meaning to register with Yelp forever, but my visit to Andrews' Scenic Acres was the final straw. I have to tell people how great it is!! Last month, my husband and I took our 16-month-old to pick a pumpkin. We saw chicken, goats, turkeys and horses. We also ate the best tarts I've ever had and drank some average apple cider. We took a FUN ride in a wagon pulled by a tractor. We sat on bales of hay and meandered around the farm letting people off at the different pick-your-own crops. Our daughter was thrilled the whole time! (So was I.) It's a very pretty farm with lots of sunflowers and zinnias and just enough elevation change and bumpiness to make the ride interesting. After finishing up at Andrews', we decided to check out another farm down the road. They charged $11 per person for what sounded like the same experience we had FOR FREE at Andrews'. I don't really know how they take care of so many animals and run such a lovely store without charging, but I'm happy they have found a way...unlike their competitor.

Yelp
We have been to many "Pick your Own" farms/children's entertainment farms in the last few years with our girls (ages 4 and 2), and this is by far one of the best. Most importantly: they do NOT use any pesticides on their fruits and vegetables. The strawberries were absolutely delicious, small, juicy, deep red, and sweet, unlike the farms we went to last summer. The staff is friendly, helpful, down to earth. The prices are family friendly and so reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised as they had much more to offer than was posted on the website. There is a fish pond for children (children can get up close and feed the fish), a lovely playground with a tractor, there are farm animals (we were lucky enough to see baby ducks, baby sheep, baby goats, and baby chicks on our visit!). The animals have plenty of space and are well taken care of. A tractor comes every few minutes to take people to the strawberry fields, but it was less than a 5 minute walk at the end of the farm so we walked there without a problem. Not only do they have strawberries, but throughout the harvesting season they offer (all pick your own!) Asparagus, Rhubarb, corn, blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, cherries, plums..the list goes on! I've never seen this type of selection at just one farm. They also have cut-your-own flowers! The farm market sells ready picked produce for you to take home, but also the most delicious pies (we saw apple, blueberry, peach, rhubarb, etc), yummy tarts, homemade natural juices, homemade jams, and so many other things. They make frozen yogurt or ice cream on the spot for you, and unlike other places, it is entirely natural. They just blend strawberries with frozen yogurt in a blender, and you get a gigantic delicious portion for $2 and change. NO added SUGAR! There is a BBQ as well with hot dogs and hamburgers. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful, very kind people. After visiting so many farms in the last few years, I can not say even one negative thing about Andrew's Scenic Acres. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit, and can't wait to come back for the pick your own corn in August! I highly recommend it to families with young children!

Yelp
Great farm to visit. Lots of variety during summer and kids would love the petting zoo too

with two baby daughters. this beautiful place was a delight a sign out front " we don't weigh our customers" the girls are in their twenties now, one is in Calgary and both daughters have pleasant memories of picking berries, petting the animals, we took pictures the current owners decided to sell after many years, no one was making offers as the land was deemed escarpment land and could be foreclosed on at any time, eventually a buyer did come along. the place is still as beautiful and everyone has an opportunity to make a dollar the new owners, charged admission at $5,00/person weekdays $10.00/person weekends the people kept coming and the new owners happy with their revenue stream it's inexpesive compared to Hamilton picturesque water fall along the cabot trail.pay $10.00 for parking walk 2-3 minutes see a tiny water fall and that's it along highway 5 east to west between highway 6 and highway 8 are about 7 of these falls.so $60-$70.00 parking. these all used to be of no significance as families on a Sunday ride would park and look around for free. Hamilton city council asked people to pay to park and remember going to st George apple picking as a kid, so said to the kids. let's go as it was many years ago, apples that you picked were charged at over $3.00 a pound Andrews scenic acres for over 20 years as I remember, never charged.times, they do change and i'm actually happy for the new owners making a dollar on their investment.it was a chance they took and it worked

Yelp
Had a horrible experience there. Cashier and serving staff were very rude. After many years of going there, will not be returning. Customer service has gone downhill as compared to previous years. Other farms in the area are just as nice, (if not nicer), with friendlier staff.

Yelp
This is a great "Pick Your Own" farm. The atmosphere is relaxed. You can ride the wagon to the picking area or walk if you choose. There are goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits to amuse the kids. The play area is nicely shaded with mature trees and lots of space to sit and watch your kids. The slides, monkey bars and swings are rustic and have an old-fashioned feel to them. It's all very quaint. You can get ice-cream and other treats. The fruit is not cheap, but it's definitely reasonably priced and very delicious. Yes, they charge pennies for the baskets, but you can just bring your own container if you like. Blueberry picking is my favourite. It's easy and the season is always long (due to different varieties of blueberries they plant). Other berries are always a bit trickier, depending on the weather conditions. And with strawberries, you really have to go at the right time. On weekends, it's busier and they have pony rides. I think there is a $3 charge on weekends too, or if you bring your own food for a picnic. It's still cheaper and more charming than other farms I've been too. And really, it is a business, they're not in it for charity. Considering the fact that most people taste way more than a few berries when they pick, I think it's pricing is fair. I remember years and years ago they had staff supervising the fields to make sure people didn't eat too much while picking. They did away with that and I think it's improved the atmosphere greatly. Kudos to Andrews' Scenic Acres. I will visit them many times a year, as long as they are open.
