While Andronis Arcadia has a beautiful setting and strong reputation, my personal experience left me disappointed in several areas of service and professionalism. For the cost of this property, I expected far better.
Issues I experienced during my stay:
Private pool cleanliness: Upon arrival, our pool was filthy—full of cigar wrappers, leftover floaties, and other debris. I reached out via WhatsApp, was told someone would come “right away,” and two hours later no one ever showed up. I ended up cleaning the pool myself. Only after I followed up again did anyone arrive, with no apology beyond “sorry” and no offer of service recovery, credit, or gesture of goodwill.
Lack of communication about bell staff transport: The property is built on a steep hill. For two days we unnecessarily walked up and down the hill, not realizing bell staff can drive guests to and from their rooms. No one ever explained this at check-in or during our stay, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.
Slow and inattentive breakfast service: One morning we sat for 5 minutes before being acknowledged, another 10 minutes to receive a menu, and another 10 before our order was taken. Once finished, it took an additional 15 minutes just to get the bill—and only because I flagged down someone other than our waitress. While leisurely dining can be lovely, we wanted to eat quickly and get on with our day, and the service made that impossible.
For a property of this caliber, these issues showed a lack of attention to detail, responsiveness, and guest care. Overall, I left feeling the service did not live up to the luxury standard they advertise, which was disappointing.
