Andy's Frozen Custard

Oh, my son and his family sure like Andy's anytime I'm over for a visit and I suggest ice cream they immediately say Andy's. I myself don't eat any, but my grandchildren and dad sure do enjoy it.

drive thru in afternoon. ordered black raspberry chocolate chip pint. they had one left. not the problem. a coworker gave me the pint and struck up a conversation. the cashier closed the window as rain was coming in. I thought the change of 11. 76 was in the bag. about five miles I stopped to check. no change in bag. went back to store and walked up to window. the same cashier stuck his head out the window and asked if i wanted something. i said my money honey. he reached into his pocket and withdrew a 11.00 and said he had to get the change. he returned and gave me the change. i drove away

Our group had small Portions for the price. When I am paying that much for a two scoop waffle cone it better have more custard in it than that. I finished mine with two lifts of the spoon, gone! At that price they can afford to load the cone a bit. Custard was tasty, just lacking good stuff. Wish I had taken a photo to share… Bummer

The whole evening was nice. Enjoyed sitting outside to eat our ice cream. Ordered quickly and waited about 10 minutes for our order.

When I come in every few months, I am usually helped by the Manager/supervisor Bray. He was been consistently upbeat, cheerful, and happy to serve customers. He’s friendly and works efficiently to make sure everyone gets served as fast as possible even when there’s a long line in drive through and the walk up. Thank you Bray for your friendly and kind service. It keeps me coming back, plus the sundaes and concretes are so yummy! I’m big on service, and he nails it!

Im usually not one to complain, but I got one thing that was $6.29 and was told my total was 7 bucks and change.. I was told my total twice, once when I ordered and once when I handed over my card.. then was told my total was magically 14.48. When I questioned my total, the employee at the window just said “I don’t make the rules” and shut the window. Didn’t get a refund unfortunately,.. so I ended up paying for two things. Thanks for stealing from me I guess, hope you enjoy the extra 7 bucks

I am addicted to this place. One of the best in Austin area, must try in Austin. This place is always bustling with customers, the drive thru lanes can be longer on weekends and evening. Worth the wait. The turtle sundae, jackhammer variety of custards are a must try.

Went with my work crew to indulge after our shift. I went with the staff recommendation of mixed custard with waffle batter and caramel and everyone else seemed to really enjoy what they gor so no complaints

I've gotten the butter cake pint and it was delicious so I tried the sundae. Let me tell you this will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth! This sweet southern treat has a slice of butter cake with vanilla custard and salted carmel with a cherry on top. It's a dessert you'll definitely savor. Friendly service and super quick! Nice clean appearance!

My wife and I love Andy's, but this location just doesn't hit the same (as the Parmer one). I'll start by saying that the staff at this location are always incredibly friendly and I'd give them 5 stars alone just for that. The James Brownie is my favorite thing to get and their key lime pie concrete (when it's in season) is also a great time. Needless to say there are plenty of really enjoyable options overall. My issue with this spot, regardless of the order, is that it's always feels like the custard itself isn't being kept as cold as it should be. Not to an unsafe degree, but it just feels like the consistency is way softer than how it is at the other location, and melts so incredibly quickly that I'm basically able to drink it like a milkshake before I get to the halfway point. If this is how custard should be, then maybe I'm not a fan. But with my experiences at their other location, it feels like it should at least stay solid for a little while longer. We'll still go here on occasion, as it's much closer than the Parmer spot, but it's taken a back seat to other alternatives.

Recently lately the quality and service has gotten so much better! I came on a Saturday through drive thru and they were quick and efficient and the concrete I got was absolutely perfect!

Just wanted to give props to the manager working the night shift on 11/2! He was killing it with the orders!! Unfortunately they ran out of custard :( but still wanted to shout him out. Also, there needs to be a tip jar and/or tip option when you pay with card. It's 2024.

Andy's Frozen Custard brings me back to those summers when my parents would take me to the local custard shop down the road after dinner. You can either order at the window or drive around the side for a variety of different flavors and custard mixed. We got a small Blackberry Waffle Jackhammer and was very impressed with the size. I also loved that it was filled with waffle pieces and real blackberries! The custard was smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Next time i'll ask for more waffle! It needed more crunch! Overall, Andy's is a fantastic place to cool off and get your sweet tooth fix!

Person at the window didnt care to type down our order while we gave it to her and made it based off of her memory. Then when another girl gave it to us and it was wrong, she proceeded to be passive aggressive about what was wrong saying we have to "pay more" for what we are asking for (pecans). Literally wqsno problem because thats what we were trying to get? Lmao. But the way she said it and the face she gave was so off putting. 2nd time at andys where the service was just trash.

We come here often and take advantage of the Andy's point system on their app. The custard is great and the employees are always cheerful!

Very rude girl employee working the window tonight. Trying to ask her if a certain product has been into contact with any peanut products, but right after asking she yells at me that I need to go to the front and tell somebody else. I let her know that I had already ordered and there was a line full of people and one window open so I was not going to be rude and cut in front of somebody to let them know when she had her drive thru window open and not one car in line. I asked if she could let them know for me and she said no go to the front. Now I am having an allergic reaction just because an employee decided to deny talking to me.

Amazing desserts/selection and customer service is great! They employees are so friendly ALL the time. Apparently they have a points/reward system and coupons they offer?? I haven't explored their app, so I will look into it. I will definitely be going back.

I like their fundraisers that allow organizations to get donations from each order. They have a quality product and also sells pints of their frozen favorites. Remember, there's no indoor seating but they have several outdoor seats. If you haven't tried them, I recommend you give them a try

My family really enjoys going to Andy's. This time it was unpleasant we ordered three custards and received three cups of what appeared to be custard soup. Nothing else to say, hopefully they'll do better.

My wife and I really wanted some delicious dessert so I came here to get some. We each got a "Andys 3-Crete" which advertised having peanut butter, banana, and cookie dough. Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations because my Wifes did NOT have a single crumb of cookie dough in it and mine did not have any peanut butter in it hence the reason for the 3 star review. I will say the Custard was still good despite the missing ingredients. I will also say the people preparing these treats really should make sure every ingredient gets included.

I've only been here once, but my experience was great. I had three pup ice cream's, a turtle pecan cup and a strawberry custard cup. All delicious and very good. The staff was friendly to. I didn't get any pictures.

Service abound!! My last experience at the drive through was like the service of old... a great experience and a great friendly employee! Promote this one... put this one in charge of teaching and training the rest! The employee was top notch! Smiled, talked intelligently, listened... and even thanked! Give this employee a raise!! Hooray for customer service! Gotta give credit where credit is due!

We went here for a treat last night and had a great experience. We got great service through the drive through. I ordered the strawberry brownie concrete and my husband got the chocolate brownie concrete. Very yummy.

If I was allowed to eat ice cream all the time without suffering the consequences of gaining weight I would! This soft serve is a very quick and easy treat for me to stop and get when I am running around town. I have come several times in a month, and it has slightly become an obsession because of the loyalty reward points I receive that end up turning into free treats! So it's easy for me to continuously come back here because I am given points that go towards delicious custard's. The set up of the store gives a very old school feel it's a very fun place!

We are obsessed with Andy's.. I literally think about this place every single day. If I had it my way I would get custard here at all times. My husbands favorite is the cowboy concrete and mine is a chocolate custard with strawberries mixed in.. yum. The drive thru is always fast also! Major plus when you live right around the corner.

This was my first time trying frozen custard and it was a pleasant surprise. I had a butter pecan concrete which was very flavorful with caramel and full of pecans which I liked. I ordered a small and it was more than enough to satisfy on a warm summer night. They do everything big in Texas even a small frozen custard.

My fiancé and I had a sweet craving and Andy's was the chosen place since we've never been! We decided to sit outside and enjoy our frozen treat rather than sit in a long drive thru line. Their menu had too many options to pick from but I stuck with the Andy's Banana Split while my fiancé had the Frozen Custard Concrete with cookie dough topping. We chose one of the least calorie option as most were over 1,000 calories! Obviously this is a great place to splurge on cheat day. I loved my banana split and it could definitely be shared with two or more people! I liked the real strawberry topping and the extra cherries I added to my order. I opted out of the marshmallow creme topping as I'm not a fan of marshmallow. The custard itself is good but a tad bit on the sweeter side! My fiancé couldn't finish his small cup because it was too sweet for him. Their small cup could definitely be shared as well. I think I would come back on a day where I actually had a huge sugar craving! The prices are kind of steep for certain items but still affordable.

Just left Andys asked for soft serve cone and the girl said they do not have soft serve. So we got the vanilla in a cone. One tiny scoop $4 i took 2 bites gone. So disappointed. She didnt even ask me what type of cone i would like.

Really has went down hill! 4 person order 1/2 came out and 5 minutes later we asked about the second half part of which was sitting on the back counter melting and the other half they made the wrong thing. So we came to have a good first day of school treat as a family but didn't get to a joy as a family. The woman after us was charged for 2 cups of ice water which I have never seen before. When she asked about it she was told they already ran the charge and didn't know how to fix that. Lastly what happened to the music? I hear there is a new GM running the place, well you lost one family of 5 as their first pick summer treat stop.

For the 2 times I've gotten this both times they have been very good and tasteful. The vanilla is very good and the cone was good.

Look no further for some high-class, fresh, and creative desserts. You can expect to pay around $5-6 for one of their concretes or sundaes. A concrete is a cup of either vanilla or chocolate custard that they hand-mix toppings or sauces or syrups into. There is a LOT of variety in those additions! My favorites are dark cherries, roasted pecans, and hot fudge. If you're more into a sundae, I recommend the brownie or strawberry shortcake. Those are baked in-house daily. I like to go to Andy's when I'm in the mood for a quick and big sweet treat. They are always very patient and kind. Get the app for special check-in offers and you'll be your way to getting free treats about every sixth time you visit.

I love ice cream, yogurt, & custard! So I had to try this place see what they had. Food: I wanted to try everything on the menu besides the stuff with chocolate in it but if you are a chocolate lover, I'm pretty sure you could find something delicious too. Even though it was delicious, the presentation could have been a little bit better. If you going present something on the menu, I would assume it will look as good as in person as it looks on the menu. Service: Service was served with a smile and with quick service. But again, the presentation of the employees could have been little bit better with their uniformd not looking so sloppy and dirty. Overall: I would recommend checking them out but there are some improvements that can be made. Wish nothing but best for them in the near future.

Their servings are very inconsistent. Every time I order a medium, it's never filled to the top and I feel like I'm paying for a medium and getting the same portion as a small. When I order a small, it is always filled to the top.

Large root beer float...... uhhh don't order this haha. Ice cream is good but this is not a root beer float. My fault for not seeing this till I got home I suppose but ordered multiple items and ended up getting the runt of the group. Oof!

I was skeptical About trying this place but it's AMAZING!!!! It's close to the house so it's definitely a go to spot. There's one girl that works there who's a little bottle clueless but all in all, I'd go back a million times more!

My wife and I decided to get some Andy's after dinner for custard . Our order was wrong and when we did get it the brownies in the concrete tasted old and putrid. I understand it's hard to get decent employees right now but come on serving old food isn't right . I usually love Andy's so I was very upset about this.

If weigh gain counted against Andy's due to ice cream being so good, I would give them a 0! But, based on everything else people care about, I'm giving Andy's a huge 5 stars! Service is fast, but friendly at the same time, and this location is always clean, and very welcoming. Now, the real review.. the custard, oh my. Never have we gotten anything g we have not enjoyed, and the only negative is we can't get the usual as you feel like your missing out by not trying yet another custard, and sadly having to go back over and over and over! Love love this place and the amazing custards. Ok, on my way to Andy's now, I need some custard after writing this review.

We were on our way to Round Rock donuts and seen andys. My husband heard they have great custard so we did a drive thru. I got the turtle split and my husband the round rock donut concrete. My mistake is tasting the donut concrete before eating my split. Lol the concrete with the round rock donuts in it is mouth watering! I'm a hard person to impress so something that delicious is something to definitely leave a review. The turtle split was good and don't want to down play it but can't take my mind off the concrete so I will have to go back and get my own. Drive thru service is friendly and well ran.

Andy's is a chain and I'm glad they're here. Being a big ice cream snob, it's nice to get off my high horse every now and then and take a vacation to custard land. Andy's Frozen Custard has all the nostalgia and charm I imagine a 1950's~1960's hamburger stand would have. I actually wish they served old style burgers as well but instead they are in the game of slinging sweet, sweet dairy treats. All the flavors are BOLD as you can read from other reviews. I think my favorite was a one star review where THE CHOCOLATE WAS TOO CHOCOLATEY. And THE MINT WAS TOO MINTY. Pssh. Take your weak-ass palate and go home. I mean, I'll admit, that after sharing a medium with my chief ice-cream sharer, I was craving something salty / savory to cut the sweetness but all those flavors were on point. Andy's -- please don't change a thing. Also, pro tip: get your custard JACKED. (A "jackhammer" is where they put a fudge core inside your custard.) GO BIG OR GO HOME, AMIRITE? Also, these things are rich. Custard is richer than ice cream, so I suggest sharing. If you order the "Quadruple Chocolate", you might just get a few extra high-fives. (The quadruple chocolate is their triple chocolate concrete, but JACKED with a fudge core, hence the 4th chocolate.)

This is by far the best custard I've ever had. Andy's gives "melts in your mouth" a new meaning. I was lucky to grow up with one of these 2 minutes from my house in East Texas and have missed going ever since. Although I live in Austin, the 30 minute drive is always worth it. I've tried about half the menu and have never been disappointed. Whether you are a chocolate or vanilla gal or guy, you can't go wrong. It is all good. They have tons of toppings and you can mix in whatever you like. There is nothing special about the location or atmosphere of this location, but they do have plenty of standing room to hang out with family or friends. If you haven't yet, take the time and head here for a great treat. It won't disappoint.

Holy amazing custard. I still dream about this. They had an amazing seasonal blueberry flavor and one of the locals recommended I add a center of fudge, which made it like a chocolate covered blueberry. The base is creamy and rich. They have many other options to pick from and the staff is super friendly. We went through the drive thru and they were very prompt.

Thank you Manny and his team for great and quick customer service. Even though they were pretty busy they managed to bring out my entire family's order pretty quick and tasting great!!

Let me tell you , this place SLAMS. It's so creamy and flavorful. Melts into your soul with every bite. There are always pleasant people working there. I look forward to every visit!

Who doesn't love Frozen Custard? Andy's is my favorite Iced dessert location for its concoctions and monthly specials. If you are craving sweets, don't look any further. Best frozen custard ever!

This is the best frozen custard I've ever had! I love try anything seasonal. There's always a long line and it moves rather quickly. It's handed to you and it's so creamy and smooth. You can get whatever you wanted mixed into the custard. If you're lucky enough to find one of these make sure you stop by!

I live in Cali and whenever I visit my family in Elgin Texas I have to come to Andy's frozen custard almost every day. My go to is anything turtle Ozark the Sunday or the concrete. The other yummy one is snow monster it has chocolate and strawberries. This place is so good their custard is yummy. It's a drive thru with outdoor seating. You order at the window.

Very good taste and texture, and not busy at this time of year. Vanilla and chocolate medium cup is perfect amount for less than $3. I think it's a good deal. Enjoy :-)

this is my 1st time at andy's i've heard good things about it so i wanted to try. I got a boot daddy and when i got it it was MELTED like i could drink it, I was so sad,not only that my friend got a raspberry brownie concrete and when she got it she noticed that instead of blending the brownie they just dropped it in there?!?! IT WAS ROCK HARD so she couldn't eat it.

For me, ice cream, froyo, and frozen custards really shouldn't be fighting. They're all delicious and fill up your sweet tooth on any given day. Andy's has a long list of different flavored custards and even more toppings. Perfect for any picky individual. If you've ever left your house before, you've been in an ice cream shop. You know how it is. Hot or cold, rain or shine, day or night; frozen custards will gnaw at the back of your brain when you least expect it and make you drive out to get yourself some sweet sweet goodness. Want a simple small ice cream come? Andy's will get it to you in 60 seconds flat. Your dog whining for some custard? Andy's got mini cups for pets too. Want chocolate, caramel, nuts, cookie dough, and strawberries all in one mouthful? Good luck getting all that on one spoon, you daredevil, but Andy's will gladly hook you up. No shame in trying. I don't want to go through everything I've tried, but it's all good, and you're going to think so too.

Andy's never disappoints! My bf & I always go for the straw ana sundae and it's always a hit. We usually buy 2 just so that we don't have to share 1. The line sometimes can seem long but they seem to have a good system going to make it fast and efficient.

I had never heard of these people but was always crowded in between In-n-Out and Whataburger so figured it must be good. I got a peanut butter, banana, cookie dough custard and it was awesome. Big fan.
