I had a very tasty & fresh sandwich, hot turkey mushroom sandwich. The workers are very helpful and friendly. This place is a gem.

Google
Hello you health nuts. Here at Andy’s, there are Friendly workers/sandwich makers. I always pass by here or go to the poke place next door, but the sandwiches are really good here. Fresh sandwiches served with fresh veggies and bread. I got the turkey mushroom and that was the bomb dot com. Inside is small, menu is simple, nothing over the top fancy or high techy, which is refreshing. First time here and not my last.

Google
I loved everything about this little sandwich shop. I got the hot turkey mushroom sandwich and it was delicious!! Very flavorful. The service was outstanding as well. The owner (or who I assume to be the owner) came out and talked to us and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend coming here. I’ll be back for sure!

soooo yummy. new fav sandwich shop no seating but so worth it

Google
My favorite sandwich spot in town. They bake their own bread, delicious cookies and the best brownies on island. Highly recommend to try smoked ahi sandwich and date energy bar. Friendly, quick service always full of aloha!

Google
Best açaí bowl I’ve ever had. The sandwiches were solid— appreciate the details like a little veggie in each sandwich and flavorful sauce. Recommended by a local and passing it on to all our friends who traveled with us!

I had a sandwich from Andy’s about 15 years ago when I was in my last year at the nearby university and it was so delicious, it imprinted in my mind. I moved away soon after graduating without having had it again. All these years later, I went to see if it was as good as I remember. It absolutely lives up to the hype and my brain, tastebuds, and tummy are so happy. Also, the people helping me were so lovely! I love this place so, so much. I’ll be back. A lot. Smoked ahi sandwich! I got it with tomato, avocado, and cheese.

Google
Best sandwich I had on the island, deliciously old school with the perfect type of bread. Don’t forget the papaya dressing, instantly raising the sandwich to god-tier levels. Also, we had the sweetest lady who made us the sandwiches and brought them to us, thank you so much you’re an angel.

Yelp
Andy's, Andy's, Andy's....oh how much I love you!! Ok, Andy's is our office's regular go to lunch location. We all get the turkey sandwich. I will probably say that we are there a minimum of twice a month. They have great prices and the family owned business is so nice. They put some type of seasoning on their sandwiches that are to die for! I always want more! They have other yummy baked goods, smoothies, and acai bowls. You cannot go wrong here. Parking is in the back or the church parking lot. They accept credit cards. There's no place to sit and eat, so it is a grab and go.

Yelp
I came here because a friend swore by their ahi-melt, and I figured I'd give it a shot. Tucked away in Manoa, Andy's Sandwiches has the kind of casual, no-frills vibe that makes you feel like it's been around forever. People were filing in steadily, chatting, grabbing sandwiches, and heading back out into the sunlight As for the tuna melt itself, I was less than thrilled. The bread didn't have that crispness I want in a grilled sandwich; instead, it was limp, leaning toward soggy. Inside, the lineup sounded promising--sprouts, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and tuna--but they just never coalesced into something that felt cohesive. It was like chewing through distinct layers that refused to blend, more a stack of mismatched ingredients than a proper melt To be fair, the price was reasonable. At $11.50 after tax, this is not a wallet-crushing meal, and I appreciated that. But a low price only counts for so much when the main event underdelivers. The atmosphere felt friendly enough, and it's obviously known by the locals, so maybe the other sandwiches are better. For now, I can't say I'll rush back. I'm still shaking my head, wondering what my friend saw here

Yelp
I love this place super cool super nostalgic feeling! Family owned and excellent service and fresh ingredients This is a must try

Yelp
1/31/25 - Yay! They're open again! Andy and Aunty looking good! Got our Birdsnest salad fix

Yelp
Really nice, small, sandwich shop in Manoa. Only 5 people allowed inside at a time, since it's so small inside. I got the hot pastrami and apricot turnover and my mom got the smoked ahi with lettuce, tomato, avocado. The pastrami was really good, I got it without mayo. Plenty of meat and a lot of sprouts(which I love!) The turnover had a lot of filling and it was fluffy, fruity, and sweet. My mom loved her sandwich and smoothie. All fresh ingredients. Staff were very friendly and service was fast! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Everyone seems to know about Andy's in Mania. They are known for their sandwiches, smoothies and salads as well. And all are made fresh to order. I especially love their turkey sandwiches, where I know I can get a fresh turkey sandwich year round, LOL! prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and service is great!
google avatar

Shaina A.

Yelp
Our team comes to Hawaii every season and we always make sure we get at least one of our lunches from Andy's. Prices are reasonable and the food and smoothies are great. We preorder with our team of 14 and it's always ready.

Yelp
I love coming to this little place! Def my favorite part of the day is coming to get those chocolate chip and coconut cookies.

Yelp
Haven't been to Andy's in a while but went back a few days ago and still delicious. Same taste, same quality and same friendly staff. I had my usual roast beef sandwich, with tomato, avocado, cucumber and no sprouts. The sandwich was amazingly delicious, filling and most importantly fresh ingredients. This place doesn't skimp on the roast beef or other toppings, they also sprinkle some type of seasoning and that I don't know what's in it but it adds a little something extra to sandwich's taste. It's not overpowering at all and it compliments the other flavors and ingredients nicely. I am not a big fan of brown/wheat bread but there's something about their bread that I don't mind at all, it's not "overly" healthy. When you walk into the family owned and run shop, sometimes you are greeted to the smell of fresh baked bread and pastries, both are made in house and with love. But you can always count on the friendly staff to greet you.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and definitely won't be my last. I'm a huge fan of pastrami sandwiches and have gone to places that have set the bar high. I can say Andy's is up there with their pastrami sandwich. There was no line and we were able to order immediately. The staff was friendly and our wait time was maybe 10 minutes for 5 sandwiches. They even brought our food out to us which was nice. The sandwiches also came with this papaya seed dressing which complemented the sandwich. Unfortunately there was limited seating so if you find an open table don't hesitate to sit down right away. This is a solid sandwich place and if you're in the area I highly recommend.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Just an fyi that they are closed on Sundays and there is no tables inside for dine in. That being said it's good to know that the sandwiches are still tasty especially the Ahi Tuna Melt. Went on a Friday and they were out of avocados which might be from it being the end of the week for them so wasn't able to get the Manoa Delight, will try again either at the beginning of the week or the middle of the week next time to see if that makes a difference.
google avatar

Sophie F.

Yelp
I am probably here once a week and most certainly once a month. I have been coming to Andy's since I was in high school and every one of the staff is so sweet and kind, they make you feel like you're a part of the family. They also know my order by heart, I'm a little embarrassed - tuna with everything on it. I'm here for their sandwiches, which are incredible from the bread they make in house to the plethora of veggies they include on the sandwiches. Also, their guava strudel pastry is incredible (if you can make it to them in time cause they always run out). This review is way overdue but even after 15 years of visiting this little hole in the wall, the quality of food and service is unwaveringly excellent. Highly recommended if you're in Manoa!

B P.

Yelp
Andy's is by far the best little hole in the wall, secret local favorite spot! I'm obsessed with their ahi melt sandwich and any of their smoothies! Their eggplant melt and Ahi avo sandwiches & bird salad are also favorites of my family's to eat! Knowing how much time and energy Andy puts into home making his breads fresh daily and sourcing good quality ingredients makes me feel extra good! Not to mention, Andy & his wife are amazing humans who exude the aloha spirit & when you walk in the shop, everyone is so kind and makes you feel like family.

Yelp
Usually I like their sandwiches and how cheap they are for the size, but the last time I went wasn't so good. I ordered a turkey sandwich with tomato and a pastrami sandwich. Then my sisters ordered more sandwiches under my name since I was picking up anyway. They ordered 4 sandwiches. For my order, they put mushrooms in it. I didn't order the mushroom one. For my sisters' order, they gave them 3 out of 4 sandwiches. I guess they misheard or something over the phone call. I also tend to bite into a TINY piece of bone whenever I eat the turkey sandwich. Which isn't too pleasant.
google avatar

Violet B.

Yelp
Their sandwiches are the bomb! They have all types of varieties including turkey, ham, smoked ahi, or avocado without meat. The service is cordial and friendly. They also have the best cookies! Oatmeal raisin is my fav.
google avatar

Hailley O.

Yelp
This place makes a great spot for a healthy lunch. I ordered the fresh roasted turkey, avocado, tomato and cheese sandwich and it was tasty. The sandwich is a good size and everything in there tasted so fresh. I placed a phone order and that was a good call. You can skip the line outside and go straight inside to pick up your order at the front register where the pastries are. I also got the oatmeal walnut chocolate chip cookies and they were so yummy. Makes the perfect afternoon treat!

Rosemarea R.

Yelp
I really love the tuna melt, and it is an amazing place to get smoothies along with a lot of vegetarian options
google avatar

Haupia F.

Yelp
Decided to try this place because I love sandwiches with sprouts in them. So I drove from Ewa Beach to try the green chili melt. I took it back home to have for lunch. I almost ate all of the first half when I bit into something hard. I thought it was bone and left it on my plate. I took a bite into the other half of the sandwich and again bit into something hard. At that point I just gave up and threw the rest away. My husband thinks it's wood, not bone. Still, I don't think I'll come back here any time soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Andy's Sandwiches is hands down one of my favorite places! The tuna melt with the poppyseed dressing is absolutely incredible--perfectly flavorful and satisfying. I can never resist grabbing one or two of their delicious oatmeal cookies too; they're soft, chewy, and just the right treat to complete my meal. It's definitely one of my go-to spots for a tasty bite, and the service is always friendly. My only wish? That they were open on weekends! Highly recommend if you're in the area during the week!
google avatar

Yelp
A must stop if you are in the area! We were recommended here by a lovely lady named Linda who works at the local farmer's market and I can't thank her enough. On my trip, we came here twice (tried for three but the shop was closed one of the days we attempted). If I was a Hawaii resident, I would come daily. A mom and pop shop, it's 100% locally ran and freshly made. From smoothies, sandwiches, baked goods, soups, salads and more - you absolutely cannot go wrong. The shop is relatively small and they do only allow 4-5 guests in at a time but I promise the line moves swiftly. The service is great and welcoming. If you choose to dine in, simply walk across the road into the shopping mall space and you will find many outdoor tables to enjoy your food at. Tip: try the papaya seed dressing on your sandwich and you won't be disappointed. Mahalo! Enjoy!

Yelp
Humble family owned sandwich shop. To be really honest, I don't understand the hype of this place. I feel like I can make the sandwich like this for myself at home, although having all the ingredients would be troublesome as I don't like to cook. They use regular sliced bread and most sandwiches are served cold, not toasted. I got the Turkey roast sandwich (minus sprouts) and it was a nice healthy refreshing snack on the flight home which I appreciated. The Tropical Dream (mango papaya banana coconut milk) smoothie was delicious drink on our way to the airport. Chug fast.
google avatar

Cassandra J.

Yelp
the best thing to eat after hiking Manoa Falls! I got the turkey mushroom sandwich, and to my surprise, it was absolutely delicious. I always love a good sandwich, and usually that means the bread is like a loaf of some sort or Baguette, so seeing how it was just your "typical sandwich bread" my friend and I were skeptical at first, but it was instantly love at first bite. The turkey was like rotisserie or like how you would eat it on Thanksgiving, which was a great change of scenery from your typical lunch meat. Though the star of the show was the papaya dressing. I'm not much of a papaya fan, but in this dressing form, it made the sandwich absolutely exquisite. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu

Yelp
Food is always on point. Great customer service Haven't had this is so long & it taste the same as it ever did!

Yelp
Awesome place, awesome food but best of all awesome service from awesome people. Try Breakfast or lunch. It is all great.

Yelp
I love the tuna melt, the taco salad and the cookies. Been eating here for 10 plus years. It's our comfort food and go to when we want simple and something you can count on.

Yelp
I've been to Andy's about 20 times since I've been on island and I'm pretty sure it's the healthiest and best sandwich place on Oahu! Andy is very personal with his customers as well. Very good selection of both vegan and meat options, and the smoothies are a great boost to the day, gonna go more often!
google avatar

Briana C.

Yelp
Yum! What a great, but not something you can find everywhere kind of sandwich. I loved my eggplant melt. It was a lot more refreshing than I thought it would be (probably because when you hear the word "melt" you don't think super refreshing). This was my first order from Andy's and will definitely try more of their healthy but delicious sounding sandwiches and smoothies!
google avatar

Yelp
Sorry Andy -I used to come here a lot- I was wondering why there was no line outside then I went in and I can see why -I ordered my sandwich and the millennial at the register asked me to stand outside in the 12:00 sun and wait for my sandwich outside -I thought that's weird even taking into consideration that no seating inside is understandable-but stand outside in the sun? Then I looked at the equipment that has black mold all over the refrigerator door magnets and then the disgusting plastic buckets in the fridge-looks like the employees don't wanna get dirty or clean -gotta hope I don't get sick-clean the machines and refrigerators -so gross!! I tried to cancel my order but the person said I can't-lose money -you guys are gonna get a lot of people sick!
google avatar

Yelp
Service so good, everyone so friendly. Got hooked up on their oatmeal cookies. Tried mushroom sandwich and it was really good!!! Looking forward to try more!

Yelp
We were going to be in the Manoa area hiking so we phoned in an order for lunch at Andy's in advance to avoid any lines out the door! Lots of parking available in the Manoa marketplace lot across the street. The hot turkey mushroom sandwich I ordered was given to me on a paper plate covered with foil. Fine for our picnic lunch on the grassy patch adjacent to the parking lot but not the best for easy traveling, especially if you have a larger order. The sandwich was bursting with greens and sprouts and came with two small containers of papaya dressing. The turkey was real pieces of sliced turkey breast (not deli meat)! Overall, the sandwich was tasty and affordable, through definitely eats a bit dry without the papaya dressing. We also tried the guava strudel which was a yummy dessert! Our friend got a guava smoothie which she loved! I would come again to try other sandwiches and smoothies on the menu!

Yelp
I've lived in manoa for almost two decades and haven't gone to Andy's until recently. I've heard people rave about their sandwiches and smoothies, but I'm not a huge sandwich person so I've never visited. However, after finally getting their food, I understand the hype. Their sandwiches are delicious. I can't tell you what makes them so great, but they are definitely worth waiting for. My personal favorite is the Manoa Medley. The smoothies are very good, very large, and average $5.50, which is a deal compared to the $7-9 smoothies at other places around the island. The line gets very long around noon and it can take up to an hour to grab lunch, but the couple that owns the place is extremely sweet and they work hard to get through the rush.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches and refreshing smoothies! I came here for a late lunch with my mom. The amount of sandwich and smoothie options were overwhelming as they have a lot to choose from. We wanted to try it all, but we ended up ordering: - Hot Turkey Mushroom: $9.99 - Pastrami: $9.99 - Tropical Dream: $5.45 - Triple: $5.45 My hot turkey mushroom sandwich was so good! This sandwich came with melted cheese, carrots, sprouts, tomatoes, lettuce, turkey, mushrooms, and papaya seed dressing. Their wheat bread was so soft and fluffy, but sturdy enough to hold the sandwich filling. This was one of the best wheat breads I've ever had. My triple smoothie was yummy and refreshing, especially for a warm day. You can definitely taste the strawberries and the bananas. For the price, the portion size was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. You order at the counter in the back first and then you pay at the front where all the pastries are. I waited outside the store front and they were nice enough to bring our order out when it was ready.

Yelp
I wanted to start off by saying I've been frequenting Andy's for a couple decades and I absolutely crave their sandwiches all the time! However...the past 3 times I've ordered for either pick up or delivery, the order has been either wrong or incomplete. I want to chalk it up to a random mistake, but it's been the last 3times the past couple months. Today I ordered a tuna melt with extra side of papaya seed dressing; when I peeled back the foil I found that there was a complete slice of bread missing on top of my sandwich. It was basically an open faced sandwich (which I still devoured because the taste is still delicious!) I felt compelled to write this review in hopes that the execution of orders sustain the same level of excellency that I remember all these years..
google avatar

Mikey H.

Yelp
I was in the area at the UPS store, when I realized that Andy's was close by and closing soon! I walked over and had to have the avocado tuna sandwich that was featured in the Honolulu magazine back in 2014 (yeah, I saved that article...LOL!), but times have changed and it use to be only $4.75, but alas... inflation and a pandemic! It's a cool little shop and I'm sure it was fun to eat inside before the pandemic. But they were all very friendly and the woman who helped me said I picked a good choice and that I should get the works with it, so I did. I have no idea what they put in it, but it was soooooooo effing delicious!!! I didn't think avocado and tuna would be a good match, but the way it's prepared here, it's really good! I would definitely stop back in when I'm in the area! Mahalo Andy!

Yelp
This place is way legit I would definitely come back here over and over. I visited Hawaii and my best friends cousin introduced us to Andy and OMG I am just amazed! Place is really humble with full of love! I enjoyed being here with lovely people but smiles and laugh with great service! You could tell the business is been there for a long time I have also heard they supported students.?That is why the menu are so affordable! I appreciated those good soul businesses! We ordered Creamy Guava & Mango OMG the way I just slurped that drink was like there is no tomorrow. The freshness of the fruit and how creamy it is was like heaven! The taste of it was just like how imagined it! I absolutely recommend this drink it's a definitely the one for me. Thank you for the great service.!

Yelp
Andy is a local spot with local vibes. Bang for your buck kind of place. But no matter the price it's always worth it! It's locally owned and management has always made an effort to know their costumers like family. Give this place a try. One of the few healthy options on the island and you won't go broke just trying to get something healthy and light here.
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had the Pastrami sandwich for the first time and it was delicious! The bread was homemade and the combo of meat, cheese and veggies was just right, I would eat it again.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Nostalgic, old Hawaii general store vibe. Very fresh ingredients used in the tasty menu items. Affordable prices. Finding parking in small lot behind the restaurant may be challenging.

Jayme

Yelp
A little "hole in the wall" sandwich shop nestled right across from Manoa Shopping Center next to Starbucks. I've come here years ago before and now I'm back here since I had to be on this side of the island. I got myself an avocado sandwich with roast beef. It was packed with fresh veggies and loads of roast beef slices all topped with avocado and sprouts. The sandwich came out $9.50 and it was worth it. Sandwich looks basic but the taste is so fresh and delicious! Just like how I remembered, fresh, healthy and yummy.
google avatar

Yelp
Used to frequently order for lunch many years ago in the 80s, & 90s , & 2000s. Glad to see the good bu siness model Andy established is still evident and thriving. Im away from Manoa, but would love to have a sandwich from Andy's again

Leslie P.

Yelp
Tried their eggplant sandwich and veg burger and both were tasty. Added on a raisin oatmeal cookie and that was also very good. I'm hooked!
google avatar

Shirley H.

Yelp
All the sandwiches are great, i love the pastrami, and the roast beef philly style and they are piled high very filling
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
Old school feel and nice staff but the sando was mid. Uncooked mushrooms... who does that?
google avatar

Arthur T.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with Andy's! Definitely my favorite sandwich spot on the island. I always get the roast beef sandwich :) There have been a few times wehre the avocado was not as fresh (very dark/discolored), so YMMV on the avocado. To pair with the sandwich, I always get a strawberries and creme smoothie also. A great non-dairy option that uses coconut milk :) Ultimate pairing! Small parking lot in the back that shares with the other businesses, otherwise, park in the Safeway lot and a short walk over. I recommend calling in, so your pick up / payment is a quick experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Andys is the definition of a small mom & pop shop, located right across the street from Manoa Market place. I grew up eating here and the simplicity of the sandwiches, tastiness of the smoothies, and friendliness of the staff keep me coming back time and time again. My favorites include: Ahi Melt, Turkey mushroom melt, and eggplant melt (when I was vegetarian). While my favorite smoothies include: strawberries and cream, raspberry and guava. The sandwiches are around $10 a piece and the smoothies are $6-8. The fresh ingredients are worth every penny! This hole in the wall is definitely worth a stop next time you're in Manoa.
google avatar

Eddie R.

Yelp
QUICKIE REVIEW Darn good sandwiches found here. FOOD This is what I tried: Ahi tuna sandwich Guava smoothie O M G. If this sandwich did not embody perfection I don't know what does. So many flavors and so tasty. It's funny how something as simple as a sandwich can taste o so good. The smoothie was good too and served its purpose of washing down all of that ahi goodness. PARKING Street parking. SERVICE Order at counter, pick up at counter. PRICE TIP/OTHER THOUGHTS There may be a line to wait here for the food; I say it is worth it. Really is a little mom and pop spot but they are doing so much right.

Yelp
August 2023. Aloha Yelper and foodies! Food is solid 5 stars. I've only had their most popular sandwich (turkey mushroom served warm) w their famous papaya dressing sauce which is indescribable and beyond delicious. And I tend to just order what I like every time until the end of time. But I'm sure their other sandwiches and offerings are similarly spectacular. They have an extensive variety of sandwiches both hot and cold as well as breakfast items like omelettes! My gf swears by their guava and mango smoothies which she gets every morning to start her day. They are closed on weekends so heads up! Service is 5 stars. Family owned and operated and the lovely owner who still comes in everyday to tend to her business doing what she loves is something that is reflected in the food served to a loyal customer base both locals and visitors alike! If you want a taste of Hawaii culture and hospitality this is the spot. Ambiance is 5 stars even though it's Togo only because it feels like you are at your aunts house where fresh ingredients are used and love is sprinkled on to give that's extra flavor! Have been coming her for years when we visit Oahu and will continue as long as we are able!

Yelp
This place is awesome! This was my first time coming to Andy's and I was surprised to see how many great options they offered. I ordered the smoked tuna sandwich and it was excellent. The smoked tuna was so good and the bread was very soft and fresh. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
My go-to place for fresh sandwiches and smoothies!!! We got the Ahi Melt (10/10 recommend!) DROOL DROOL DROOL and the Pastrami sammie. Also got the Guava smoothie which was AMAZING! Took these to have a picnic and it was the perfect lunch date! Prices are so reasonable for these massive sandwiches. Spent under $30 for 2 sandwiches ($21), guava smoothie ($6) and walnut chocolate chip cookie ($1.35). They have fresh baked goods at the counter as well! Hole in the wall located next to Starbucks and Poke Place. Super easy to miss so I would look for the Starbucks. There is parking located in the back! Or you can park across the street where the McDonald's is and walk over. Sweet old ladies work there and are all super kind! Definitely check out this place if you're in the Manoa area!!! Also super close to UHM.
