I am still so full. Beautiful bar. Gorgeous decor. Perfect for large parties. Kid friendly. Chicken Caesar salad was great and had so much cubed grilled chicken on it. Chicken chimichanga was awesome. Margaritas top notch. Complimentary chips and salsa. Indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking. The churros w chocolate hit the spot. Served warm w sugar and hot chocolate dipping sauce w a sliced strawberry. Comes with 3.

Google
Incredibly renovation of the building. The restaurant spans two stories with 40ft ceilings and features a wrap around staircase surrounded by tables and bars on both levels with lots of exposed brick, wood work, tropical plants and murals. Great food and service! Was blown away with how good everything was. Awesome lounge tucked away in the back on the second level had an intimate vibe. Easily one of the best spots on the South Shore.

First time here for lunch on March 10. The interior is open, airy, large windows with front patio. Large bar with ample room for seating. Ideal for a step up in Mexican cuisine. Ordered fish tacos. Lightly breaded large chunks of fish. Fresh and tasty. I normally stop at 2 tacos but had no trouble putting the 3rd one down.

***DID NOT EAT A MEAL*** THAT IS THE ONLY REASON FOR ZERO STARS. @google.com please start include the N/A (NOT APPLICABLE). Anjeo, a gem that quickly becomes the heart and soul of your visit. Once the lively Sam Diego's, Anjeo has dusted off the old and painted a vibrant new picture upon its familiar canvas. The transformation is nothing short of magical. Step inside, and the atmosphere hugs you like a warm, inviting embrace. It exudes an irresistible charm that draws you in, whispering promises of good times and even better cocktails. Behind the bar, the magician—you might call them a bartender—crafts elixirs that are as enchanting as a fairy's spell. With a smile that rivals the sparkle of Plymouth's coastal breeze, they mix, shake, and stir with a skill that turns every drink into a masterpiece of taste and delight. Whether you're indulging in a classic or exploring something new and whimsical, each sip feels like a small, delightful secret shared just for you. The old space that once belonged to Sam Diego's has found new life with Anjeo. It’s a testament to creativity, reimagining what was old into something refreshingly vibrant and new. The echoes of the past linger like a fond memory, while the new experience unfolds like a captivating new chapter.

Google
A great Mexican place with food cooked fresh and made to order. Place was large and well attended but seating was available upstairs. Nice spot if you want cantina style Mexican food. Can get slightly loud but overall nothing too disruptive

Google
My first visit to Anejo was in their Falmouth location so when I heard they were opening a restaurant in Plymouth, I was so happy and I have not been disappointed them many times I’ve been there. My most recent visit was on Cinco de Mayo. Lots of fun great tequila great margaritas and the service is outstanding and food is always outstanding. My favorite is the molé in my humble opinion. And the chicken flautas

Google
10/10 for the space, food, and service. I’ve been there a few times for lunch and dinner, and always enjoyed myself. This weekend I hosted an event upstairs and it surpassed expectations. Emma the event coordinator was a pleasure to work with, and helped the event run smoothly. Everyone came up to me to complement the food and location. Definitely will go again. Thank you Anejo!

Google
This place is right on Main Street in Hyannis and I’ve been here for drinks, so really happy we got to try the food. Cozy and chic ambiance, we sat right by the fire in the back. Best thing we had was probably the Langosta Mac & Cheese, so saucy with lobster chunks and not dry at all which was impressive given the crumbs on top can easily dry out a dish like this! The blackened mahi mahi tacos were a good portion but slightly overcooked for our taste. Margaritas are fun with the spicy salt rim and definitely worth trying. ALSO the free chips and salsa they put on your table is seriously in contention with the Mac and cheese for #1…quality is bangin 🙃

Yelp
My first time here, I have not had an opportunity to have Mexican food to often I was very happy I came here. They greet you with chips and salsa. There is a large tequila selection and it is nicely decorated and the seats are spaced out so you don't feel crowded. I started off with the wings and the Anejo margarita And for dinner had the Mahi Tacos the sauce that the vegetables were seasoned with was very fresh and flavorful and the Tuna was tender Service was fast and attentive would love to come back and try other items on the menu

W R.

Yelp
They used to have a really tasty plantain appetizer but the revamped menu no longer offers it. The chicken wings came served topped with mole sauce rather than on the side; they were licking excellent. I am taking away stars because the suggested tip started with 20%. I chose the custom tip option and gave 15% which was good amount in my mind. The waiter was obviously dissatisfied; he left the receipt on the table without so much as a thank you. Am not returning.

Yelp
This spot is so cute on the inside! Definitely a great vibe! The service was quick for seating even on the Friday night we went. Also very friendly servers and they brought out our orders quick! The coconut margarita was amazing (and huge)! The tacos and street corn were also great. They gave us a big bowl of chips and salsa when we sat down too! They had a special for a churro sundae that was so so so good! I definitely recommend and will be going back!

Yelp
Amazing. From the service to the interior and food. We loved it. The interior is beautiful and well designed. I appreciated their waitlist tech. You can see how far in line you are and how long you have been waiting. The trio tacos were awesome. I loved each one! The queso was good too it just wasn't very warm when it came out. Our waiter was wonderful. Very kind and attentive.

Yelp
Nice place for a drink really nice decor fun, also we had good service with good chips. However the food was very disappointing I had grouper tacos with 4 slivers of some fish didn't taste like grouper to me . the other meals were mediocre. in a town of good food I'm not going back

Kenneth B.

Yelp
We sat at the bar upstairs and our bartender was Kate She was amazing A great bartender, engaging and sociable We had a great time with great food and great drinks!
google avatar

Cori F.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. We went with a big group and I think everyone was happy with their food. My salad was great. The drinks were so tasty. The service was fantastic. It is very loud inside but it's a great place for a group. Only real downside is no reservations so get your name on the waitlist!

Julie F.

Yelp
What a great place! Our service was excellent...thank you Sara! Food was fantastic and fresh. We started with the Shrimp & Avocado salad. Then the Baja Tacos and the Puerco Colorado. Portions were more than ample. Had some pork leftover to take home. Will go back when in the area.

Yelp
I only came here for drinks on a weekend night so I can't speak for the food. Though I was super happy that they gave complementary chips and salsa. The drinks were super good and a pretty big serving for the price. kind of a weird ambience, but it was also opening weekend so it didn't really phase me. The service at the bar was typical.

Tracy D.

Yelp
Anejo is a classy upgrade from the previous Sam Diego's! We had very quick service for a Friday at lunchtime. The complimentary salsa and chips were delicious. I ordered a mango caliente margarita. It was not that caliente, but still good. We got the anejo wings, habanero. They were DELICIOUS and spicy, but not too spicy. For lunch, I got the casa salad, which was light with crisp produce. My husband had the baja tacos that he loved (he almost ordered more). I ended with a spicy pineapple margarita that was really refreshing (but not too spicy). The service was great, and we were never rushed. For 2 meals, and Appetizer, 2 margaritas, and 3 coronas, the bill was only $100 - definitely a steal for the quality! We will be back.

Yelp
Anejo Mexican Bistro is the leader in the crowded field of Plymouth Mexican restaurants. The menu is large and varied and even the simplest things are excellent. Our latest visit was on this week's Taco Tuesday and two of my companions opted for three $3 tacos each. They were very happy. Another had the two enchiladas plate and I had the three enchilada combo. I couldn't finish it! Everything was excellent, including the Margaritas. Top notch. The restaurant has two floors and is quite spacious, having been a fire house in a past life. Our server's name is Ava and she was great, both in her vivacious personality and in taking care of us during our visit. This is a very popular restaurant. Despite being a Tuesday in the first week of April, the place was full when we arrived at 5:45. After a short wait we were seated in a comfortable booth. Highly recommended. We'll be back. Anejo has another location in Falmouth center.

Pamela B.

Yelp
Kate the bartender is fabulous! She make the best cucumber spicy margarita! She is engaging with her customers and extremely personable!

Yelp
First time at Anejos new Plymouth location, and had a great experience. Got an avocado salad, 3 different taco plate, guacamole with bacon for an app, and fried ice cream for dessert. Everything was great. Our server gave us 5 star service as well. The restaurant was really nice inside as well. A little pricey - but totally worth it. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Mehhhhh food. And pricey & slower food delivery/service. What else can I say? The prices are too high. The tables going around the big circle, like the inner tables, are awkwardly placed and not comfortable. Not near as good as the sister restaurant in Falmouth, tho it's not a slam dunk either.

Yelp
A friend and I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and we had a very pleasant experience. The waitstaff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The plantains appetizer was very yummy. I ordered the Camarones Verde, which was excellent. My friend ordered quesadillas and was very pleased with her selection. The restaurant is conveniently located and I have always loved that building, which was originally a fire station. The interior and exterior of the building is beautiful and there is outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was ok depending on what we had but the service was down right awful. I thought maybe it was just our experience. When talking to coworkers they all also said service was lacking. I had a dirty fork, no side plates, no drink offers for refills until we asked for the check. It was busy but still don't over seat staff who can't handle it. The fried plantains were delicious but the chicken roll ups were dry and the chicken was very hard inside. Taco trio was yummy but no sides besides pickles. Probably won't be back anytime soon. Let the new kinks get resolved then try again.

Yelp
Ordered the Tres Tacos at lunchtime on a Friday before Labor Day weekend, These tacos were insanely delicious. The meats were tender, well seasoned and perfectly cooked, Probably the best tasting, best executed tacos I've ever had in the northeast. Disclaimer: Añejo Mexican Bistro ain't Taco Bell. Tres Tacos is three small street tacos. They're not huge. They are crazy delicious. Excellent service. Nice margs.

Yelp
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The details of the bar are immaculate, the lighting fixtures complement the vibe tremendously, and the woodwork is gorgeous. The service was great - from the host, to the bar staff to the waitress and clean up crew. The food was delicious. The salsa is one of the best in the area, the guacamole is light, fluffy, and flavorful. The queso has a bite and really good. The chipotle beef chimichanga was so good. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent service, gorgeous ambiance, delicious upscale Mexican food! We all loved it. We showed up at 5 on a Saturday and it was already packed!

Kris P.

Yelp
We were seated inside as we requested, it was quite busy & a little noisy. I had Chardonnay & my husband had a beer. Our server was Veronica & she was very attentive & efficient. My husband had the Camarone S Verde & I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese Appetizer as my meal. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was enough for 3 people! No dessert, but myhusband had a Decaf Coffee which he complimented. It was an easy walk from our hotel, the John Carver Inn & Spa. We would gladly return!

Albert D.

Yelp
Went to Anejo for our anniversary this week. We were blown away by the decor and ambiance. The restaurant is stunning. It is light, airy and open. Service was great. We expected some speed bumps given this is a new location, but we were pleasantly surprised with the e service. The spicy margaritas were awesome! The food was great. We got the queso to start. I loved it, but my wife wasn't a fan. This is less of a traditional dipping sauce-style queso and more of a pot of melted gooey cheese. The complimentary chips and salsa is a great touch. For entrees we got the mahi mahi and Baja tacos. Both were terrific. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was phenomenal! Initially, we were trying to go somewhere else, but they were closed, so we decided to come here instead. The food came out quickly, Mahi mahi was good, wasn't really feeling the beef tacos, but the plantains were good too; wish there was more. and the pork tacos were the best tacos I've had this year. They were so delicious that I ordered another round. The service was okay; I think my hunger made me want them to come back a little sooner to take more orders. The ambiance was great too. This spot in Plymouth reminded me of being in the South End of Boston or the Seaport, making it a nice little upgrade for Plymouth!

Yelp
Ok we went there for the first time and we sat outsidad We go seated right away drinks right away... the muscles are amazing I have to say though the place was swarming with bees. Like. 15 to 20 bees at our table. While we were eating dropping in our drinks , it kinda ruined what would have been a great lunch

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Visited at 3pm on a Friday. Plenty of staff, wait staff, bar staff and managers but only three or four tables occupied. I can't offer a review of the food as we waited for 20 minutes and no one came to our table, staff walked by it and chatted amongst themselves, so we left.
google avatar

Allison E.

Yelp
Amazing food! Wonderful ambiance and attentive staff. Have sent a couple people your way and they have had the same experience! Such a wonderful addition to Plymouth!
google avatar

Brian A.

Yelp
I was there tonight expecting a delicious meal like the last time I dined here. Unfortunately , that didn't happen. I was seated by the hostess and then the chips and salsa was delivered right away. After that we were basically ignored by the entire wait staff. I sat and watched as three tables were sat and served their chips and drinks all around me for about twenty minutes. Finally I decided to put my hat and coat back on and leave. I walked over to the hostess stand and before I could say anything she said " have a good night" I replied. " I never got service . Thanks a bunch" this is very disappointing that such a nice place could be so inconsistent with simple service. The hostess and the young man who served my chips were on point but the rest needs a refresher on prompt customer service and courtesy. In the end I walked down the street to labamba and had a very nice meal. Thier customer service was excellent. Your loss. Pissed off in Plymouth.

Yelp
Everything I love about their Hyannis location they have brought to Plymouth. Best Molé ever !!! Fresh clean real food. Best Mexican restaurant I've personally have ever had
google avatar

Nathan S.

Yelp
Great new spot downtown! Great Management Great Staff/Bartenders Great food Great ambiance Congratulations to Añejo in Plymouth!
google avatar

Cody S.

Yelp
Been going to the Añejo in Hyannis for years and Plymouth seems to be just as good. We've had a few different servers and they've been all exceptional (especially Katie). Definitely a fun and busy atmosphere. Nachos could be a bit better but we've loved our burritos and enchiladas.
google avatar

Sean C.

Yelp
We've been to both Añejo locations in Falmouth and Hyannis and we were excited for this location to open and they have absolutely delivered. We sat at the bar (which is first come, first served) and had Brandon as our server. He, along with Ryan and Kate, were behind the bar and each of them was friendly and accommodating - it was as if we were regulars even though this was our first time in. The food here is excellent and always consistent, and the same goes for the drinks. The wait can be long (upstairs isn't open quite yet) but it's well worth it!

Michelle B.

Yelp
It pains me to leave this review... we love this place and have visited many times and have always had great service and food, unfortunately not this time. No fault to the restaurant but there was a birthday party with several screaming children running around wherever they wanted...hiding under tables.... (Where were the parents?!?!) Not enjoyable. Our food was just mediocre and service not up to par. We'll be back and hoping for better a better overall experience. Hoping this was just an off day.

Ralph S.

Yelp
Had the tacos this time. A little disappointed in the size but all very flavorful. Everyone was pleased with their selections. Once again, can't say enough about the hostess and waitstaff. Crazy busy but we went with 7 and still got seated upstairs in a little over an hour. Not bad at all. Love the new look inside.
google avatar

Victoria W.

Yelp
Food was great as was the service by Jen! Also needed a little help from the male host/greeter! It is difficult for seniors to sit at those high tops! He was kind and helpful!
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
We popped in here quick during the water festival and Abbey took great care of us at the bar. My husband had the three tacos and love them and I had the taco salad with chicken, which was amazing. Highly recommend the place. With servers Abbey we will be back.

Matilde B.

Yelp
Service, Food, Ambiance. Loved everything about it. The food was superb. It was our first time there. Just bumped into it. Weren't looking for it. Our server, Conner, was just fabulous. We'll be back every chance we get. And we're 45 minutes away.
google avatar

Bora T.

Yelp
Sorry to say this but little overrated for dishes. Drinks margaritas pomegranate and house were very good and they used real juice really loved it. I ordered enchilada mole and my wife got mahi tahi tacos. Both meat were dry. Good to have them in downtown Plymouth, will go another day to discover their taste again.

Heather-Marie W.

Yelp
First time I was there they were newly opened and I had a drink served in a cracked glass and I just didn't really care for it that much but then I decided let me give it another chance so I just went back last night and let me just say I love you, Anejo! I'm sorry I broke up with you. Will you take me back? Holy smokes this place is exquisite. I'm eating the leftovers as I type and dang the stuff is amazing! Great service great drinks and again the food is off the hook!

W G.

Yelp
We are visiting from Arizona and the bar is set high and it exceeded our expectations. The service and food is amazing! They let us sit on the patio with our yorkie pups too. Absolutely love this place! The manager, Blair was very accommodating too!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of Plymouth Anejo for months and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent, food was excellent, atmosphere was excellent. The renovation of the old Sam Diego's was fantastic! I was very happy to have been there for the opening night in Plymouth. So glad to have been to be there for the opening night! It exceeded my expectations as anyplace on opening night has challenges, but the staff did not skip a beat.

Jim P.

Yelp
I used to love Sam Diego's and was skeptical when Anejo moved in and upgraded everything. Boy was I happily wrong! The food is soooo good. Service is terrific and the food comes out fast. Only problem is its so popular now it isn't as easy to get a seat.

Francie L.

Yelp
Great bar, attentive staff, food was good. Similar menu to the Hyannis location. Nice job with renovations and decor...too bad you didn't do the bathrooms

S A.

Yelp
We have been regulars at Hyannis and Falmouth for years and we're so happy to finally have one in our hometown! The interior is stunning and we can't wait to check out the upstairs when it opens. We started with the fried plantains and for our entrees we had the Verde Chicken Enchiladas and Pescado Encornflecado. Everything was amazing, but those fried plantains are delicious! Jasmin, our server, was great and Grace kept our salsa and waters filled. Great job to the entire staff for a job well done. The line was out the door when we left.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Good food great drinks great service. they redid the whole building and it looks fantastic inside!

Fremont W.

Yelp
we came in about 2 o'clock on a Friday plenty of seats at the bar. We had a sangria and a margarita. Margarita was fabulous. The sangria was not good at all. We ordered an appetizer which was delicious. I would order it again however it came out about 30 seconds after we ordered it. I felt very rushed. We barely had time to eat the chips and salsa in front of us and relax before the food showed up. very cool vibe though.

Fred w.

Yelp
Excellent Mexican food. I started wirh a Pacifico (unfortunately not on draft, $6.50) and my wife had a Spicy Guava Margarita ($14). I opted for the chicken verde chimichanga ($19). It was so good, perfectly cooked, crunchy shell and the verde sauce finished it iff nicely. My wife got the chili rellenos ($23.50), which has been a favorite Mexican dish for her for a dozen years. It was absolutely the best she ever had, and the biggest she ever had! She got 2 meals out if it. The total with taxes before tip was $74.50. Service by Connor was exceptional - 5. Quality was superior - 5. Portions were ample - 5. Price was a little high for Mexican - 3. Not an every-night restaurant for sure, but this one will not disappoint!

James M.

Yelp
This is our second time at this restaurant, first time 5 stars, this time was a failure by our server. If you order a margarita with no salt it should come with no salt, pretty basic FAILURE, I ordered a non-alcoholic beer, I was served an alcohol beer, FAILURE, there are reasons why someone doesn't want alcohol, pretty basic don't you think! On the upside the food was excellent. But the food should not come before the drinks so FAILURE #3 and not to be three and out we had to search for our server to get the check, FAILURE #4 and to put a cherry on top of this failed dining experience we had to hunt down this server to pay our check, FAILURE # 5 Plymouth is a dining town, lots of options, we have a large dining budget, we'll give this place another chance because of the menu, but another Failure and we'll pursue other options!!!!

David L.

Yelp
Okay I've only eaten here once but my tacos carnitas were far from the best I've ever had. This place might be overrated, though it does have a good buzz.

Emma C.

Yelp
yummy tacos!!! the elote was also delicious but could use some spice. I got the tres tacos and the chicken was by far the best. busy busy busy but would come back and try more stuff. the new place is BEAUTIFUL compared to the old same diegos.

Karen L.

Yelp
Excellent food and service!!! Beautiful space with outdoor seating. The most authentic Mexican I've had on the east coast
