The Parktonian All - Suite Hotel

Great room for the price. I had a large living area with couch, desk, and kitchen. There was a balcony and bedroom. The size for the price was great. I had two issues: Housekeeping kept taking the towels and not replacing them. I had to put in requests for clean towels. The refrigerator did not work. They were unable to fix it and did not have a replacement. Other than that, everything else was great. Nice, friendly staff, great location, plenty of security, and the Orchard restaurant offered tasty food. I would book there again.

We stayed at The Parktonian this past weekend for the Travis Scott concert, and honestly, the experience was very disappointing. The rooms were decent in size, but several things were not up to standard. The windows were faulty and couldn’t be opened properly, some of the cupboards were broken, and the bathroom was in poor condition — the shower barely worked and the bath was dirty when we arrived. For the price we paid, the room maintenance and cleanliness were unacceptable. Transport to the stadium was smooth, but the trip back was an absolute nightmare. We were stranded for almost two hours at a garage we didn’t even know, waiting for a shuttle that never came on time. We were told to walk after shuttles in unfamiliar areas, which was completely unsafe — especially since we’re from Cape Town and don’t know Johannesburg well. The only positive part of our stay was the kind and helpful reception staff, who did their best to assist us when we raised our concerns. Unfortunately, their professionalism couldn’t make up for the overall poor experience. Wouldn’t recommend staying here again, especially if you’re visiting from out of town or expecting a smooth, reliable transport service.

it was hard to give this a overall 4 or 5 star hotel primarily because it was not as I expected. The room was rather dated, although very clean, the TV does not stream any channels and it is outdated. Some of the furniture is worn. the windows were not sealed and leaked air. The gym is so small and outdated. It cannot accommodate more than 3 people and has one set of weights. The breakfast buffet was very good. I did order room service for dinner because there are not restaurants nearby only fast food types of places. This is not a place for a single female solo traveler. The areas is unsafe at night and most of the businesses have left the Central Business District. Even the Uber driver asked me why I was staying at this location, I checked out the next day. i asked for a refund of the balance of the my 4 night prepaid reservation, but we could not work that out, nor could Booking.com. I will never prepaid for rooms again, Lesson learned, the deals for prepaid may not be worth it. Get to the place and pay at the end of your stay. I had no problem with the staff or service. I think staff were very nice. Its a hotel for the locals but not for out of towners

My husband and I were just here to order in dinner and sleep, but it was nice. Cheap, clean, and the room was very large. We were also able to bring drinks from their bar up to our room which was a huge plus. It felt very safe and getting an Uber to the airport the next AM was quick and easy.

Stay over with a friend in town and the place looked well maintained on the website and even when you arrive at reception. The room was great until your sleep and the bed was terrible, old uncomfortable, although the linen was very clean.

Perfect overnight accommodation. I slept throughout the night. Very beautiful, dinner galore, breakfast super. Friendly reception and kitchen staff. I love the 1 floor iron facility. Brilliant business idea.

The staff is friendly and promptly available to assist. I lost my way back from the parking lot, which is based across the street. Upon noticing that I have taken too long to return, the security officer who received me, followed me up and escorted me back to the hotel.

I was satisfied with my stay, superb hospitality especially their breakfast and they offer free shuttle service for around the neighbourhood.
