Angel Corner

Popped in for lunch today, a cold, dry [not quite spring yet brrrr!] May day. We enjoyed a jacket potato with cheese and a tasty Thai Green Curry soup with bread, accompanied by tea and coffee. A traditional café, immaculately clean and inviting. The flat white coffee was a little weak, but the tea was plentiful and lovely. Most of all, the owner and his assistant’s welcome made us—and our dog—feel comfy. We’ll definitely be back. Lyndon, Peter, and Sandy

What a cute tearoom very sweet. Lovely man serving, he was the owner / manager. Range of milks available. Tasty GF, DF and Vegan cakes available.

We stopped by for lunch. I had a ham ploughman’s, the ham was very good. I would have preferred that they didn’t chop the baguette up into small pieces. Would have been fine if it was with soup but it was hard to reconstruct to make into a ham baguette. Other than that small thing everything good. We had a dairy ice cream in a tub for afters.

Good value food; there was space for us but only one table for a group of 4 which was already booked for 90 minutes after we arrived so we weren't permitted to use that, which seems a bit odd. Anyway I would recommend this cafe as a stop off from the A303 westwards, but perhaps not if you are in a tearing hurry.

A really cute little coffee shop or should i say teapot shop!! Lovely food and amazing service! We called up to check there was enough room for the 2 of us and little baby, and when we arrived they had reserved us a table. The highchair was a normal comfy highchair you would have at home, not the wooden ones you get normally, which was brilliant for our little fidget. Thank you to the Lady who served us, lovely service (sorry we forgot her name!! she was wearing a pac-man top when we came to visit)

We were checking out Mere as a potential place to move to and came across Angel Corner. We ordered the cream tea for two and loved it. The High Tea was tempting so will have to try that out some time. Really friendly service and tasty food, a great find for us.

Had lovely cream tea here. The person who served us was warm and friendly. Cute place to hangout on our way home to London. Lovely town as well, definitely worth the detour.
