Put this place on your list! I had an amazing experience. Fresh fish and exceptional service. Also you can order food in the back. I had “fish and chips” with a plethora of toppings and seasonings to choose from. Service was super friendly and really catered to me and my friends. Fresh everything. I’m definitely going back!

It was my first time here. Food is good made right in front of you they season it how ever you like it. People are so pleasant. Prices are good. I'll definitely get food here again

4.5 stars. I recommend. The shop is very clean and employees are kind. There are a bunch of fishes and shells. We ordered No.2 on the menu which is whiting and fries. It was tasty.

A real find with fresh and cooked fish. Plus get sides of fries and vegetable - carrot and broccoli. Worth visiting a lot.

I Love Angel's Fish 🐟 Market. I Always Buy My Whitings 🐟 and Shrimps 🍤 from here. Not a Fish Fry if I don't purchase from Angel's. I love it there.

Nice fresh fish. Not too expensive; But the FISH CLEANER GUY isn't good at removing the bones, and scales from the fish. I had scales still on my fish, to come home to reclean the whole fish. Otherwise it's a clean place and odorless.

This place is incredible. They have literally everything and it's super close to the train. The interior is really cute and modern. It looks like you're in a cozy kitchen that's fully stocked with insanely fresh seafood and delicious meals. I read that this was the best place to get seafood and decided I needed to trek to their market and try it. The staff are all kind, can answer any questions you can imagine, and are very patient. You can tell the people working there are passionate about customer service and knowledgeable about seafood. I picked up some salmon for my family, knew nothing about the right cut or type I wanted and left with quite literally the most delicious seafood meal I've ever eaten. I would trust this fish market with seafood for the rest of my life. I was also not a fan of muscles before I tried these. Life changing. I needed to order a ton so my family could try them as well. They were fresh and super meaty- not a bad price either! The corn was a really cool concept- I loved how you can add your own seasoning. Their bay seasoning was fantastic. My favorite had to be the salmon and the sweet potato. So tender and juicy and flavorful. Seriously need to come back here and try more of their seafood options. The food is super colorful, the space is clean, and the seafood is fresh.

Good fresh fish cooked to order. This kind of hole in the wall establishment came highly recommended and did not disappoint, with really great prices.

Let me just say this! If you think they'll be open past 6:30 you are mistaken. They tend to close super early and even earlier on weekends so make sure you get there earlier. This is a neighborhood staple, my best friend who's from Brooklyn has been eating here for a long time. Once I came over there, I had to try. I got the #7, fried shrimp and scallops with fries on the side. It was around $10 I believe. Super filling and super delicious. My best friend recommends their rice and steamed shrimp. I've had that too, it's pretty good but not that filling to me.

This place never disappoints!!! Always finger licking good... The price is always right and they let your season it yourself. Not in the picture but their fried corn is beyond amazing... This is definitely a place to visit if you're in the mood to get dirty with seafood

This place is family owned, super clean, and really fresh. I'm so happy to support them, from grabbing some steamed shrimp to throw into a salad at home, to showing up hungover and grabbing a plate of fried fish and chips. They always greet me with a smile. Love you, Angel Fish market!!

They sell imitation scallops and pass it off as real. This place should be ashamed of themselves for selling fraudulent promises and tricking eaters. Buyer beware what else they might be lying about on their menu.

Avoid this place at all costs! I got deadly sick from a scallop order on friday of last week!!!! I should have known something was wrong by the odor coming from the scallops. I only ate one, thank goodness. If I had eaten them all, I probably would have died. The place looks unsanitary too!!! What a waste of money!

Clean, friendly and food is pretty tasty and well portioned. I appreciate the cleanliness and how quick they are with serving the food. I definitely like there fish and chips and the fried shrimp and fried whiting is so good with fries or rice.

I've been coming here since I was younger. We use to live within a few blocks. I'm so glad to see they are still around. I got the steamed shrimps n veggies. Food was great! Will be back soon.

I came to this fish market (walking by, hungry) quite a few years ago and the food was okay, nothing to rave about. Well, on this visit the outer breading seemed tough, as it was prepped days ago and has awaited the fryer. I see in the flavor department not much has changed either, a little fishy and bland otherwise. It still gets 3 stars for the courteous and speedy service and how fresh the raw foods looked and the tea kettle of melted butter for the steamed dishes. I may return in a pinch, but there are no promises.

Bingo Bingo Bingo.. Well anyone who knows me, knows I love EVERYTHING ABOUT BROOKLYN. I love that I had the chance to grow up here. I used to eat at this fish market ALL THE TIME growing up. I have not lived in NY for 5 years now, and I recently just made another trip to this market. I don't want to make this an essay. Long story short. One of the best Fish Sandwiches in NYC period. Just get the Fried Whiting. Classic NYC Fish sandwich. I also got some steam shrimp and corn. All in all, I only spent 10 bucks lol.. I started eating Fish Sandwiches here when I was about 14 years old, over 10 years ago. Nothing has changed, easily one of the best Fish Markets in NYC. Do not let the appearance fool you. This is my city, don't judge a book by its cover. I love this Fish Market..

Not that great but hit the spot for my bad habit of wanting to eat deep fried seafood and deep fried fake scallops.

When I was a kid I had severe fish allergies. I couldn't even pass a fish market without feeling extremely uncomfortable. But luckily shellfish seemed to be fine. When I tried my aunt's fried shrimp I was in heaven. That is until the worst day of my life. I was eating shrimp and I felt my throat itching. 'Not you too' I sobbed into my handful of steamed shrimp probably, I dont know, I was like 7. And for years fish markets had absolutely nothing to offer me except pain and misery. Angel Fish Market was one that my parents would order from frequently, and I dared to eat the fries that touched the fish they'd ordered. They were good, but alas, not enough to base a Yelp review on. Even worse, Yelp hadn't existed. If you've made it this far in this tragic anecdote, the worse has passed because we are now going into my formative college years. In my quest to explore who I am I sometimes had to take a step back and solidify who I was. If you thought that the last sentence had confusing usage of tenses, shut up, I was an engineering major; not a writer. By the way that was proper usage of the semi-colon, I get some points for that. Any who, one of these day I decided to readjust my perception of self was the day I decide to risk eating clam strips at the cafeteria. I put a piece in my mouth... no reaction. I then tried shrimp, scallops, crab... I'd lost my shellfish allergy. I cannot describe the amount of joy I felt because I don't even remember being that happy, calm down its just shrimp. But now I had a wider palette, and I eventually I moved back into the area. I could walk around and into fish markets without feeling like I was standing in a swarm of mosquitoes. My parents visited and stopped by Angel Fish Market like way back in the day, so I was like "lemme get that shrimp/crab stick/scallop combo" and they were like "let you get your own damn cellphone plan you leech". After my 274th time assuring them that my company discount offsets my cost of the bill and therefore I am not a total leech, they agreed to order me the food. I was completely blown away by what I was eating. Probably some of the best seafood I'd had since my shellfish renaissance back in college. So many restaurants around here and getting way too goddamn pricey and 'fancy'. I hope this hole in the wall never changes. Good cheap food is getting rarer in this neighborhood and this place is one of the best and cheapest. Call ahead during peak hours though, unless you like standing around fish for a half an hour.

Fish market is amazing for fresh steam food. But you Must call in order in advance. It takes soooo long, but its worth the wait.

Good market. I recommend this place for the neighborhood. Probably better than food bazaar but not better than the fancy supermarkets.

This is just a really good, basic local fishmarket. Some top quality fish, some standard farmed fare. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. I am so glad this is in my neighborhood!

I've been eating here since I was a little girl and I love it no matter how many times I eat here I can't get enough. They portion the food well and give you your money's worth. If your looking for good, fresh, cheap seafood. Angel fish market is the place
