Sadly Kate who has owned and operated Angel Island for 25 years has sold the resort and we were her second to last guests. No praise can be high enough for what she has achieved and done. The setting is idyllic, the large villas set apart from each other in a tropical garden within metres of a pink sand beach swept clean by some of her charming staff each morning. The setting is picture-postcard perfect with palms framing the beach looking out to the Flores Sea. She has thought of everything from afternoon tea to mosquito coils. The food it great. A wide range of Indonesian and western food. One of us was disabled with difficulty walking. Kate and her staff carfefull planned things so she could take the speed boat trip to Komodo Island and travel back to Labuan Bajo. But ultimately it hs Kate who has made this place what it is. She will be be a hard act to follow

An amazing resort on its own island! The resort is excellent in all measures. Staff are very kind and helpful, food is good and reasonably priced, cabins are very, very nicely set up and luxuriously appointed. Internet was good and the grounds have lots to offer with beaches, snorkeling and kayaking. It is not cheap but reasonable considering what you get and when looking at other options available in the area. We came all this way from Brazil to see the Komodo Dragons and we saw so much more. During our speedboat tour organized by the resort we were lucky enough to encounter beautiful islands, meet lovely people and saw bats, birds, jumping fish, deer, monkeys and of course the Komodo Dragons! We highly recommend the resort to unwind in a peaceful, comfortable setting with lovely staff.

Angel island is magical: the birds, butterflies, reef, beach bungalows, garden...all perfect. The staff are all so hard working and friendly and it's lovely to stop and have a chat with Kate on the way to breakfast each morning. The food and cocktails are great and being served afternoon tea at your beach lounge is a delight. Kate manages the resort efficiently and organised a great day trip to Komodo NP for us. I so appreciated the cake for the chef baked for my birthday (and Kate for organising this with him). After staying here in August 2023 we were a little worried that a return visit might lead to disappointment, but Angel island resort matched our memories. The whole family (2+ 3 adult children) had a brilliant time and are planning a return visit in 2025.|Thank you so much Kate, Rian and the entire team.

Great spot. Kate and her team are outstanding from the pick up in Labuan Bajo and arranging all the day trips to Rincon and Komodo. The meals are very good on site and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Excellent service. Great beach on site. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful place! Amazing and huge bungalows (very clean) hidden in the greenery, incredible beach and house reef, very secluded and private. Beach is very clean, and contrary to a previous review we found that any plastic that gets washed on the beach is removed immediately. Very friendly and helpful staff. All food is a la carte and is not included in the room rate (not even breakfast). We found the food to be priced reasonably. Maybe the only negative point is that the meals did not match in quality the rest of the resort.

Our stay at this resort was an absolute dream, so much so that we extended our stay. Nestled on a perfect island with crystal-clear waters and coral reefs teeming with fish, the main beach offered an underwater paradise. We were thrilled to encounter a turtle while snorkeling, adding a magical touch to our trip. The food was exceptional, offering a delightful array of local and international dishes. The little touches, like freshly baked cake each afternoon, evening turndown service, and chocolates on the pillows, made our stay even more special. Watching the sunrise and sunset from different sides of the island brought a profound sense of tranquility. One evening, we witnessed a convocation of eagles on the beach, an unforgettable sight. The staff went above and beyond, providing impeccable service with a genuine smile. The owner’s hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome; her impressive knowledge of the area led to an unforgettable boat trip to Komodo, Pink Beach, Manta Point, and Taka Makassar. Every detail of our stay was crafted for the ultimate experience. We can't wait to return!

Paradise! We loved our stay from the minute we arrived. The attention to detail from Kate and the team is amazing. Highlights were snorkelling on the coral reef, canoeing round the island, the delicious food, sunsets on the beach and just chilling!

Dreamy! A perfect getaway on a private beach. Everything is clean and trails are well groomed. Staff members are available 24 hours. Delicious food served at the waterside restaurant. Lots of choices. I found the pricing fair. We also enjoyed wine and beer. We were given snorkeling gear and spent a couple days exploring the reef. Gorgeous! Best I've seen. We even saw a little shark. We also kayaked around the island. At 5:00 pm, they put out beanbag chairs on the beach so that you can comfortably enjoy the sunset view. Our cabin was spectacular. It was quiet while we were there. We kept our cabin unlocked. Only one other couple arrived on our 2nd day, then another 2 on our 3rd day. There are plenty of places to lounge on the beach or in the library rotunda. This was like a 2nd honeymoon. Transport was all taken care of. PLUS.... a box lunch to take on the boat ride back to Labuon Bajo.
