This is hands down one of the best bakeries, in this area. Their cakes are moist, not sugar loaded and very flavorful. I've ordered from them for the last 5 years for my kids birthdays and they have consistently delivered high quality, crowd favorite cakes. Their other bakery items run out very quickly, so be sure you're there in time to grab them!

Wow this cake was perfectly on point —moist but not too wet it cuts clean (which is rare for moist cakes), tasty fresh home made flavors just a hint of delightful sweetness! I will be ordering bday cakes there from now on (it was my 1st time) bdays— August September October November yearly Love to support this local mom n pop shop :)

I went there to buy a few treats for my family because they had great cakes and the area was usually tidy. It was, to my astonishment, vacant. The good news is that if you order what you need ahead of time, they will get it for you. Their pastries are delicious, and I strongly recommend them for any occasion. If you bought a cake, I recommend calling a few days ahead of time. The service was excellent, always fresh and exactly what you ordered. Our most recent cake order was a mocha chocolate mousse. My family enjoys it because the texture is fluffy and the flavor is distinctively rich. The decor is also quite nice.

The best chocolate banana cake I’ve ever had. The bananas were fresh and the whipped cream or buttercream topping on top was so delicious and light, it was not overly sweet like other frostings. I gave them a general idea for the design and they knocked it out of the park. Loved it!

As a local to Angel Maid Bakery, living a couple blocks down, this place has always been a staple to our family. A reliable bakery with friendly workers who are attentive to their customers. From their strawberry shortcake, mocha chiffon, tres leches, and chocolate dobash cake…You can’t go wrong with either. The cake itself is always moist, never had a bad instance of dry cake, as for their custard and whip cream it has always been executed nicely where it doesn’t come out to be overpoweringly sweet nor bland. The bakery utilizes fresh ingredients and fruits, which can be reflected by other reviewers cake photos. As of lately, this bakery has been receiving recognition from the foodie community, which is well deserved. The price for their cakes, let alone the quality and great customer service, is astounding. This place is definitely a sleeper, a must try if you haven’t. Lastly, if you’re reading up to this point, here’s a few crumbs. There’s only about 3 parking spots offered, to make it easier park on the residential sides or on centinela. If it’s your first time trying Angel Maid, try their tres leches, chocolate dobash, or strawberry shortcake. Slices are available along with other bakes goods but keep in mind that they do sell out by closing time. I recently tried the cupcakes from this bakery, and I was thoroughly impressed! The texture was light and airy, making every bite delightful. Not only were they delicious, but the pricing was also very reasonable for the quality they provide. Highly recommend for anyone looking for tasty treats at great value!

I ordered from them kind of last minute, but they did a great job! The price was very reasonable, and the cake turned out so cute! It was quite big and my group of friends couldn’t even finish it, there were leftovers for the next day. The cake was very light airy and soft and the frosting nice whipped not too sweet. A refreshing, delicious, light taste!

What an amazing experience from Angel Maid Bakery. I wanted a beautiful cake for my mom's 52nd birthday. She loves pink and flowers and butterflies and wanted a cake that was special. I found Angel Maid on Yelp, and the cakes online looked so beautiful. I called and told the woman I spoke to that I just wanted an 8" inch marble cake that looks beautiful and feminine. I told them she likes flowers, butterflies, pink, and edible gold, and told the person that they can just run with the decorations. I basically gave them free reign to decorate it as they saw fit after telling them what kind of aesthetic I wanted. I was a bit nervous about the design since I didn't share any reference pictures, but the cake came out so magical and better than I could have ever expected. My mom was so surprised and loved it so much. It really made her birthday even more special. The 8" marble cake was $45 and to custom decorate it, it was $15. So total was $60 for a beautiful and delicious cake. The crumb in the cake was so soft and the flavor was absolutely divine. I would definitely order from this bakery again. When I went, there was a huge line which honestly makes sense because their treats and cakes are so so good and the customer service is impeccable.

Back again for another occasion. In fact, all important and noteworthy occasions lead me back here despite the horrific drive to LA. This time was an 8" Guava Chiffon and since it was the day before Thanksgiving, the lines for pick up were crazier than usual. Just a reminder that people know what's good and turn up. Don't chance it by just showing up if you wanna score something in particular. Call ahead a few days before so you don't get disappointed and waste your time.

Not gonna lie, when we initially ordered the cake, I was a little worried about the price. Now, mind you I have no basis for comparison. I'm not a frequent cake buyer. But let me tell you, it was definitely worth it. This cake was the belle of the ball. So well done, so cute and delicious. A perfect memory for my baby boy's first birthday. Will definitely return when we want to mark other occasions. Notice to folks -- this place is popular! If you're picking up on Sunday morning there will be a line. They keep it moving but plan accordingly.

One of my all-time favorite bakeries! I live deep in the San Fernando Valley and we make the drive to Culver City just to pick up cakes here. My favorite is the guava chiffon. There is truly no other cake out there like this one. The taste is incredible and fresh. They have the best most fluffy and airy bread that you don't feel sluggish after eating a slice of their cake. The whipped cream is also very light and not too sweet. I love the fruit roll, and you can also get this in a round cake version if you call and customize. The strawberry shortcake is another amazing choice as well as the German chocolate cake. I honestly have never disliked anything that comes out of this bakery is extremely affordable at only $35 for a 7 inch round!

They did a wonderful job on my daughter's birthday cake. We loved it so much and so did she - it looked awesome. And we got the chocolate mousse cake which was delicious (and toddler approved!) This place exceeded my expectations even after hearing great things for years.

Nice Japanese bakery, great example of light chiffon cakes and Japanese Style Strawberry shortcake. Good price point for what you get, best Japanese style cakes you can get in LA.

Favorite bakery on the westside! I love Japanese deserts since they tend to be less sweet. I've had the guava cake, strawberry shortcake (a classic and looks like the iPhone emoji), and the tres leches! I was in charge of dessert for a potlock and ordered the tres leches -- everyone wanted seconds! They also did a beautiful job decorating the cake. Their cakes are light, fluffy, and delicious!

Angel maid NEVER fails to be a crowd pleaser. I used to order their cakes a bunch when I lived closer. Fast forward- my child's first birthday....as I was brainstorming where to order a cake for this momentous occasion...Angel Maid came to mind. I requested multi color daisies as deco but really just let the decorator use their creative license and they did not disappoint. The cake was perfect in taste and design. Their service is professional and friendly. Love Angel Maid! Thank you for being part of the magic of my baby's 1st birthday!

We ordered a cake for my friend's birthday and International Women's Day and it was so good!! Light fluffy and creamy and not too sweet. Just melted in our mouths! So reasonably priced and delicious! Great friendly service too. I will definitely go back to order a cake here. Same price of the grocery store but from a bakery!

Angel Maid Bakery is one of the hidden gems of Culver City. There customer service is top notch. They are always so professional. Most of the weeks you can call one day in advance to place a order for a special cake for your celebrations. This bakery uses fresh ingredients daily. Their cakes aren't overly sweetened. My favorite is the Guaba cake. The bakery is very clean and nice and calm. I would recommend Angels to any one that is in the LA California/ Culver City area or who is visiting the area. I lost track of how many times I had given a compliment at a party because of a delicious cake and it was from Angel Maid. I finally had to visit the bakery and buy my own. The chocolate mousse cake is perfection.

This long time establishment is a well kept "secret". It doesn't have the name recognition of other "biggies" within it's 5 mile radius, but I like it better than all the others put together. Why? It is not cloying, so that after a few bites, black coffee is needed. (Or, take a smallish bite every few minutes.) The style is Asian, meaning it is going to be light as air, in a word, heavenly. Maybe that's why they chose their name as such. Only reason to dock them any partial stars is that, once they run out, you're outa luck. But that's not their fault. They are intentionally small! I serve their goodies to all manner of events, and people always want to know where "it" is from, so now, I've put it out, in a more "permanent" form. For Valentine, I brought home seven indulgences!

I purchased an 8 inch strawberry shortcake, with customize writing for a friend's birthday. The process was quick and easy. The associates were super friendly, and even with a line that had us standing outside the door. They were more than willing and helpful to get everybody served as quickly and efficiently as possible. I've also tried a few of their pastries, like their chocolate cake and a chocolate croissant. admittedly, the cake was pretty good. However, the chocolate croissant was a little stale. I would definitely recommend Angel made bakery for all of your cake and bakery needs

My go to bakery for all the occasions. My favorite is their guava chiffon cake. It's so light, fluffy and creamy. It's surprisingly not too sweet which I love. They even do simple custom decoration cakes as well. You can call ahead to reserve a specific cake. I love Angel Maid!

First time here! We visited my Grandma @ Westchester area and my Aunt stated that this is the best bakery they have in town, i've tasted the cream puffs like the papas bear however this one is way better, not too sweet, lots of cream fillings inside in this tiny little puffs.. love it!! Service is good. A family owned business

Delicious and beautiful cakes every time! I drive from the Valley for the strawberry shortcake and the guava chiffon and they are both fan favorites.

Despite its unassuming location and storefront, this is simply a superb bakery - with excellent strawberry layer cake and chocolate cake and cream puffs and little chocolate chip cookies and more. I don't think they waste a lot of time worrying about being instagram-worthy. Instead, they seem to focus on offering outstanding traditional baked goods that you'll never get tired of. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are more than fair considering the high quality of the cakes and pastries. It's not difficult to love places like this. I look forward to my next set of treats from this bakery.

Angel Maid is my go-to bakery. Anytime I go to a birthday, I volunteer to bring the cake just so I can get Angel Maid. Their cakes are light, airy, and not too sweet, just like Asian cakes. My go-to is the Guava Chiffon, but I've had all their cakes, and they are all very delicious. One time, I called on a Monday to pre-order a 1/4 sheet cake for pick-up the following Saturday, and they said they didn't have any more pick-up windows for Saturday. If you need to order a cake, do it at least two weeks before pick-up. They do have a few cakes that are first come, first served, so I usually get there around 8 AM and be prepared to stand in line for about an hour (at least on a Saturday). It's so worth it though.

The 'Strawberry Shortcake' cake is AMAZING! The fresh berries are ripe and delicious. The whipped cream frosting is light and not overly sweet. It's perfectly balanced and truly some of the best cake I've ever eaten.

Truly simple and delicious cake, the berries inside were beautifully cut and layered, the cross section was gorgeous. The fruit border was an additional $5, which I thought was completely worth it. I also requested the swirly ribbon and some sprinkles on the side. The cake was beautiful and extremely affordable compared to other cakes in the area.

This bakery has everything you need for your sweet tooth. Cakes, cookies, cream puffs. The parking lot only holds about four cars but there's street parking available. They always do a good job on any cake I have ever ordered.

Great local bakery with cakes and other sweets that cater to lighter taste buds. Parking can be challenging in their two car lot but you may get lucky with street parking. This no frills, order-at-the-counter mom and pop bakery functions with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. The downside is that some staff is really nice and others (owners?) can be downright rude. I recommend you ignore the attitude, suck up your pride and order the strawberry shortcake, chocolate ganache cake, and cream puffs. You won't regret it.

The customer service is excellent, especially on the phone (I believe I worked with Elizabeth on the phone and her recommendation for the passionfruit). I had two parties (Saturday and Sunday). The fact that they are open, both days was also a big for me. I ordered two cakes from this bakery, both reasonably priced. The strawberry and whip cream was a big hit. However, the passionfruit was an enormous hit. My recommendation would be to order 1/4 sheet cake versus 1/2 sheet cake for 50 adult guests (adults). So much left over. The 10 inch round was excellent to feed 20 adults (still leftovers). I would use this bakery again and again. Additionally, leftovers from both cakes freeze very well! They have a very small parking lot however there is additional street parking.

Ordering process was easy and efficient. The pickup method was easy as well. Beautiful and delicious cakes! I ordered a tres leches 1/4 sheet and realized that I had more people coming for the party than expected. So at the bakery I picked up another cake they had in the display case-chocolate mousse. Both cakes were so delicious and we had no leftovers. Highly recommend this wonderful bakery!

Omg the cake here is SO YUMMY! Someone brought an Angel Maid Strawberry cake for a birthday dinner and the slice I had was heavenly. The sponge cake is moist, not too sweet, and perfectly pillowy. The strawberries are fresh and perfectly tart. And the whipped cream brings it all together - I usually eat around the whipped cream but I ate the whole thing! It was just so light, delicate, and refreshing. If only this bakery were closer... I would visit often for cakes. I'll have to come back when I'm around the area to try their other cakes!

Tea cakes are tasty and a nice size. The location sits back so it's a little difficult to find.

Excellent bakery and really nice staff. I love this place. I love walking in, seeing what they have available, ordering custom cakes, and of course, I love to finally eat the stuff. It's all so, so good. Their lemon puffs are out of this world good.

I just wanted to thank Angel Maid Bakery. I got a 1/4 Strawberry Shortcake, I forgot to order and was lucky enough to get one. I told them it was for my daughter's cat's birthday. To my surprise they decorated it so beautifully. I appreciate that very much. They are delicious cakes and the service is amazing. Took the bus to get there, so worth it!!!

I grew up in Koreantown, and this place reminds me a lot of Asian-type pastries (I think it's actually a Japanese bakery?) Every time I get a cake from here, my friends ALWAYS ask where I got the cake because it's so delicious. If you have those friends/parents who want the "delicious and it's not TOO sweet" taste, this is ITTT. I've gotten the guava chiffon and passionfruit chiffon, and both are always hits. They also have a selection of other pastries, which are STUNNING, but the banana rolls in particular are to DIE for. I get one every time I go! The service is really quick - on busy hours, they have a line out the door, but the line goes pretty fast. If you want a cake or a specific dessert, I'd recommend calling ahead of time and placing an order - this place is really popular, and they sell out quick. There are no seats or anywhere to eat here - it's very much a grab and go kind of situation. The parking lot only fits about 5 cars, but there's parking around the street.

I came in on Sat afternoon as when I called on Fri they were no longer taking custom orders so make sure you order way in advanced if you want a custom order. I got the last Guava cake on display so i lucked out. They make cakes daily so everything is first come first served and once they are sold they are out! Cakes on display are 7". Review: Soft Pillowy Chiffon cake layers with, Guava filling frosted with Whipped Cream. 10 outa 10! I will def be return and want to try Passion Fruit. Inside was spotless clean and well organized. You can tell they have their ish together and well ran, Kudos too the owner. Parking: Very tiny parking lot and street parking. Very busy street so be patient in trying to find parking, it was hectic. Ambiance: Service staff was so friendly and I came i right before a big rush of people so order in advance and come earlier, they are busy for a reason. Their cakes are high quality. Payment: Accepts Cards Overal: Coming from a Cake Snob this Cake is better than Kings Hawaiian, ya I said that. Periodt! Check this place out ASAP!

I got the strawberry shortcake for my daughter's birthday, it was a hit with everyone. I highly recommend ordering ahead of time. There was a line out the door when I got there but was able to go in pick up my cake and add the pastries on top of my order. The cake was delicious and the cream wasn't overly sweet. We have lived nearby for 7 years and once we found Angel Maid for our birthday cakes, we didn't bother with anywhere else. We ordered our largest cake this weekend for our little one's birthday and once again 10/10, not just in the presentation but also the taste. Everyone raved about it and asked for seconds.
