Overall great experience! It’s a laid back atmosphere with high quality food. All the dishes were great but the goose breast was (in my opinion) the best dish I’ve had in Jerusalem. For any tourist wondering what to wear, I saw people wearing summer travel clothes while others were wearing date night attire.

I have been to Jerusalem a few times and have my favorites, but I couldn’t get into the 2 restaurants that I wanted so I took the suggestion of the front desk at Mamilla Hotel. He recommended Angelica. Looked at the pictures and was impressed. I gave it 3 stars because of the service not the food. I cleaned my plate. Food is great. Well seasoned and nicely plated. Service kinda sucked. It took awhile to get our drink orders when they took it the wine came out quick but I was one of 2 that orders a Coke Zero. It took forever to get my coke and I had to follow up. Next the waitress was rude to my sister’s boyfriend. He wanted medium rare burger. She insisted medium even medium well. It was really her attitude though. How she answered him. A little disappointed for such a nice restaurant.

My heart (stomach?) is broken. This used to be one of the best places to eat. It's just awful and expensive. The service was ok (no refilling of water) and an unwilingness to open a bottle of merlot to serve a glass. But the food was just terrible. The ceviche was too sweet with some passion fruit coulis that provided some color but did not allow any fish to be flavored. The carpachio wasn't that - but rather made to look to ceviche and was tasteless. The minute steaks were awful - tough and tasteless (the fries were excellent - although less good because the bad meat was slathered over them making them less crispt). There were no vegetables at all on any of the dishes! They were shades of yellow, orange and brown... nothing green... nothing that spoke of the connection of food to nature. The lemon mousse was fine and I enjoyed that... but the chocolate souffle was not cooked! How hard can a chocolate molten cake be to do right? There is a severe lack of vision... gone are the days of beautiful colors and interesting connections between dishes - a fusion of foods that made sense. This was poor quality mess. What a shame.

The private room and the service were good, i think that for the expense and the expectations we were expecting a little more, we enjoyed the private room it was a little hot with the lights that heat, a simple switch to LED would help reduce the heat in the little room, the service remembered a lot of details but the small requests were forgotten, great food and options atmosphere was great! The sound in the private room could have been dealt with to accommodate the room more

Angelica has not just remained consistently outstanding in terms of food and service - it has even improved which I didn’t think was possible as it was already amazing. With its perfect central location and food that will make your mouth water and will leave the most difficult diners with a smile and happy stomach - Angelica remains my favorite fine dining restaurant in Jerusalem and very possibly in the country. Very nice and testy! The food was great, and the service was very good. For the first dish we ordered the Chicken Liver Pate and Roast beef Bruschetta,both were full of great flavors and very good! For the main course we ordered the Grilled Beef Fillet which was well made and had many great and cool add-ons on the plate. Highly recommend.

Food was delicious. And the service was great, our waitress checked in on us many times to make sure all was well (maybe that's because there were only 3 occupied tables in the whole place) My only 2 complaints are that the items on the menu are very vague and unclear. Just one example: when it says bread and dips you assume some sort of fococcia, not a few pieces of sliced bread. And for the dips we got two tiny spoons of dips and the third one was mayonnaise. I'm sorry but that's just lazy. For dessert we got the chocolate soufle with "ice cream". It was passionfruit sorbet, maybe I'm wrong for not asking first but if it's not vanilla ice cream I feel it should be stated in the menu. Besides that my second complaint is that the prices were very expensive for what you're getting - nearly 200 shekels for a small sirloin with 1 single side dish (which happened to be an entire head of cauliflower). 230 shekels for an entrecote with very small sides, it's just too much money. I gave the place 3 stars because like I said, the food and service were indeed very good, but they have plenty of room to improve.
