Right, as you head up the lift, remember that there are two sides to the pricing of this place.
So many people I know have ran in fear from eating here thinking it will be pricey, food, no, kind of a gastro pub style menu I guess, a two course set menu monday-friday will only set you back £15, which you can't tell me it's bad unless you're a common wetherspoons frequenter.
I'd been told this place was top dollar, but both times I've been, were with work, so I didn't particularly need to worry (hence the lack of photos, sorry guys!) but it was priced fairly average-ly, the non set menu mains in the all day dining, a main priced usually in the bottom of the teens.
Most recently, I had deer carpaccio for starter, which was lovely, and steak frites for main, which was cooked to perfection.
The cocktails here are excellent, the mixologists know their stuff, there can be a wait, but I think it's worth it.
Considering how much ice is crammed into the drinks of many of the nearby places, i'd say it isn't too bad comparably. I found the staff completely pleasant when I was there (maybe I'm an up myself member of the clientele, and they're just 'my people' I don't know), never had an issue.
Good drinks that will set you back a bit, good food that doesn't really, and the main reason for the high stars? The roof terrace that's well worth a look, get past the public blankets, which are lovely, but you don't want to think about who you're sharing with too much, (thanks, OCD friend!) heaters, and excellent views.
Don't forget your wallet, don;t forget your coat.
