It was our first time at this place, and it definitely met all our expectations. From the moment you walk in, the experience makes you feel like you’re in the right place. The customer service is 10/10, food 10/10 (thanks to the owners of Angeloni’s, Ernie, and the amazing staff). The food is delicious, fresh, and we’ll definitely be recommending this place. Coming back soon!

I will start by thanking Mr. Angeloni himself. Wao what an incredible person he is. I was craving this pizza for so long. I am a fan of homemade pizza. But since I live in upstate NY the drive was a little long. Anyways, we took the trip, but before we went I called to see if I could’ve been seated outside so I can take my dog to not leave him home alone for many hours & if it was allowed; whoever picked up the phone advise me it was it was Ok. Well we took the trip , it was a Sunday, 1hr driving , that day were supposed to be just cloudy not really raining. So, while we were seated outside started raining. Mr. Angeloni came out and advised us he had prepare a little table in corner inside the restaurant, so we can put the dog there, so we didn’t need to leave because of the rain & stil enjoy our food. He served us some wine (on the house) & it was not because of that. But it was his hospitality that stole my heart. He didn’t even know we came from so far just because we wanted to try his pizza. He doesn’t know how much his treatment meant for us . We took a long drive and it was completely worth it. The food was exquisite, that pizza Wao! Just how I imagine. Thin, crusty, delicious. I ate a whole pie!! I love lava cake - OMG! & it was Amazing. 🤩 I really recommend this restaurant & next time I’m coming back with the whole fam🙏🏼💖 Blessings & thank you again so much….

Google
Seen the billboard on RT46 , seen socials about this place so , the wife and I had to give it a try. Nice place. Nice thin crust pizza. What a crunch of the crust. I had a regular and a pepperoni. The wife had the Grandma slice. Lots of flavor. Nice and fresh. It's a good spot. Definitely check this place out.

Google
Awesome time here one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Anthony was an amazing server. He was working the whole room of like 20 tables. It was incredible I will be back.

Google
If you’re a fan of ultra-thin, crispy pizza with fresh, high-quality ingredients, this place is a must-visit! The crust is perfectly light and crunchy, with just the right amount of char. The sauce is flavorful without being overpowering, and the toppings taste incredibly fresh. Every bite is packed with deliciousness without feeling too heavy. Whether you’re a classic bar pie lover or enjoy creative toppings, you won’t be disappointed. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and a pizza that keeps you coming back for more! Highly recommend!

Google
Great place, fantastic pizza 8.6 easily!! Get the thinny thin pie. Great homemade mozzarella as well

Google
We drove a little over an hour after seeing the Thinny Thin on instagram for weeks and watering at the mouth for it. While the Thinny Thin lived up to the hype, the other food options really impressed. The garlic knot that they served us with bread at the begging of the meal was off the charts. The homemade mozzarella sticks were absolutely amazing. We filled up on pizza, but I will definitely make the trip back to try an entree because I have a feeling it will be delicious.

Google
Dry and burnt was the theme of today’s visit. 10 years ago, Angeloni’s was the pizzeria to visit; with great pizza, atmosphere, and customer service. Throughout the years, a once great restaurant has declined in all areas. Today’s visit was once again a disappointment.

Yelp
ever since we moved back to jerz we've been looking for a great thin crust pizza near our house. i'd heard good things about angeloni's and we finally got a chance to go for lunch on a saturday. the restaurant is very clean inside with nice decor. it's the kind of place you can dress up if you want but its also got casual neighborhood pizzeria vibes. they were super accomodating for our little one. the dining area is nice and we had no issues fitting in the high chair comfortably. i would not recommend bring in a stroller (maybe a small one like the doona) but we had enough room for our large diaper bag and the high chair. at lunchtime they were about half full as people trickled in and out. they give out complimentary bread and garlic knots. the garlic knots were my favorite thing we ate! we ordered a caesar salad, plain pizza, and buffalo chicken pizza. salad was cheesy, fresh, and crunchy - delish. the pizzas came out piping hot. we loved the flavor of the plain pie and our baby was even able to eat some (sans cheese). buffalo chicken was perfection with large chunks of breaded chicken and blue cheese sauce all over. we had a great time and will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Yelp
The Hotsy Totsy Shrimp was awesome! The marinara was very good. The pizza was good bar pie, a little too greasy for me but was good bar pie. Reminds me of Pete and Elda's from down the shore. The marinara makes me want to come back and try the chicken parm and some other pastas. So will come back for a second try.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal pizza. We ordered the famous "thinny thin" half cheese/half pepperoni. The pizza is crispy, flavorful, & fresh. The staff are excellent, super friendly, and interactive. The cheesy garlic bread is a great way to start your meal here. Will definitely be back. Not sure there is better pizza any where else in the state!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my visit to Angeloni's. Had a Thinny Thin while dining there, and ate the entire thing quite easily. Delicious. Then brought a regular Thin Crust to-go, so as to travel better, to some friends at work -- they also raved about it.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. Pizza was great. Staff is friendly. Street parking. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
So a few advertisements on instagram & if you know me. I see I go (or try to go) I saw the thin crust pizza and just had to try. Plus pepperoni of course. Hot and fresh. Service was very fast. Came out a little well done but lucky for me I love it like this. Definitely would go again.

Yelp
Great pizza. Parking not so easy but outstanding pizza: great crust, sauce. Fast service. I went before the lunch rush. Will be back again.

Yelp
My favorite pizza in Jersey. Great stuff. I had Delucia's on Wednesday and this is better...
google avatar

Sheel M.

Yelp
We ordered a veggie pizza and a build your own with our choice of toppings. Both pizzas were really good. Really thin crust and well done! We also ordered a fog salad which was delicious. This place is a BYOB and thankfully there is a store close by so we quickly grabbed some wine to go with our dinner and it was all perfect. The food was great, service was fantastic and the place had a great vibe. Would definitely eat here again!
google avatar

Yelp
In my opinion, this is the best thin crust pizza in NJ! I love the cheese thinny thin pizza. It has so much flavor and just the right amount of crispiness. Since it is thin crust, it is not as filling as regular pizzas. I also tried the zingada pizza which was very unique but it did have some spice to it. I still like the thinny thin better. The parking here is tough but we've always found street parking because we went at times that weren't busy. I think there is a discount if you pay with cash.
google avatar

J W.

Yelp
What is this sorcery? How do you even make a crust that thin? Thinnest crust I ever had. It is a little bendy at the very middle but as thin as it is it just has to be. Once you make it halfway to the edge it starts to get nice and crispy. Very good crunch right at the edge and a superb ring of caramelized cheese around the rim. Good tangy sauce and very good cheese. A whole lot of things to like about this pizza.

Yelp
I completely get why this place is a hit with the locals - it's a personal favorite of mine too! I've visited this spot several times, and it has definitely become my go-to pizza joints. Their "thinny thin crust" is absolutely fantastic, striking the perfect balance between crust and crispy cheese. It's great that you can turn any pizza into a thinny thin crust version, giving you more options. They also offer a wide version of vegetarian dishes and customizable choices. I would highly recommend all pizza lovers to visit this place.

Yelp
This pizza.... was INCREDIBLE!!!! We used the Portnoy "One Bite" app to find a good pizza spot near our travels, and this place surpassed all expectations. The wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly, ensuring my pizza didn't have mushrooms on it (allergy). The restaurant is exactly what you would picture for a classic New Jersey pizza place, with all classic Italian decor and vibe. What we ordered: 1. The Famous Thinny Thin (MUST HAVE) 2. The Zingada (ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE!!!) The famous thinny thin was so yummy and we tried it first and we're raving over it, but then we tried the zingada and WOW did it blow us away! The spices and meat were perfectly chopped and distributed. I wish I lived closer so I could go here all of the time!

Yelp
First time here. I got it from Tiktok and Dave Portnoy lol. It did not disappoint. Pizza was delicious! We tried a few. Service was great, our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. The place is located on a quiet block and when you enter they have checkered tablecloths that give it an old school charm. Definitely recommend!

Gail L.

Yelp
Very good food. Nice ambiance and service is very efficient. Pizza thing thin is so good. You order your own as you like it for 12" perfect The special fig salad so fresh and flavorful . This is the neighborhood place you love to go to!

Yelp
Yelp asked the Yelp elite, and proud to be part of Sara B's north Jersey community, to post a review for a place we are grateful for. Love Star Tavern but your Thinny Thin rocks it equally. And a five minute drive. Your servers are sweetie pies. And your interior ambience is nice. But we typically take out and feast Thank you for great thin. medium and thicker crust pies. Plus your salads!

Yelp
I'm glad I made the trip out to Angeloni's Restaurant & Pizzeria in Caldwell, NJ. This area is filled with good pizza and Angeloni's fits that bill! Parking is mostly on the street and the inside of the restaurant at the time I visited was buzzing with activity. I grabbed pizza to go so I could miss the weekend crowd. The pizza itself is perfectly thin and has an excellent, crispy base. The sauce is tasty and of very good quality. The standard pie features a thin layer of this delicious sauce topped with a toasty, greasy cheese that you can't get enough of. The square pizza has many of the same features but comes with a fluffier base/crust and more awesome sauce. I'm a fan of Angeloni's and would recommend it to anyone looking for a thin, crispy pizza!
google avatar

Jon F.

Yelp
The famous thinny thin!! It was delicious!! Got two large pies one pepperoni and one plain. I'm not a big fan of "bar style pizza" but this made me want more. The restaurant was clean and the service was great!! 10/10 I'd drive another 45 mins to go back!

Dan H.

Yelp
Pizza is good, but the quality has slipped a bit. Service was ok, not great. The prices have dramatically increased, and it's hard to justify $14 for garlic bread with cheese, or $12 for fries. Prices on the website are not the updated prices

Yelp
When I got the tip of this great location, I pretty much thought I'd be giving this place a 5 star review hands down. No doubt they have gained a lot of attention after Dave Portnoy (https://youtu.be/9ISR_UNvumw) gave them and 8.8 back in November 2019. After reading reviews and such high praise from a fellow pizza affecianado, I was pumped for thier famous "Thiny Thin" pizza and dragged my two kids along with me. While I knew I wanted the Thiny Thin, we also ordered a small plain pie as well along with mozzarella sticks. I have to say that when looking at the online menu, the Thinny Thin pizza was $16.95. When dinning in, the same pizza is $21.95. Not sure why the $5 markup for dinning in, but it seemed rather excessive in my opinion. Overall, the Thinny thin was the family favorite and we should have stuck with the Thinny thin. No doubt the thinny Thin is a great pie, however in my opinion, the pizza was slightly underdone with very little crisp to the crust that I expected after reading other reviews and feedback from a friend. Will definitely give this place a second chance and hope for a better outcome and will modify my review accordingly. The restaurant was a great atmosphere. We sat at a table of four, which seemed a bit cramped. I do realize space is limited and restaurants want to maximize their space, but the seating was a bit cramped for my liking. I will say the place was packed with families with young and old kids as well as couples enjoying a night out. We found street parking with ease. Overall, it was great dinner. However, the pizza we fell short of my expectations that I was so looking forward to. Will give them a second opportunity to see if can change my 4 star to a 5 on star rating. If allowed, I'd probably rate them with a 4.5, but I had to pick either a 4 or 5. While I go out to more and more, i see more restaurants offering a price for paying with cash or paying with credit cars. Cash price was $68.10 and credit card price was $70.82. Just want to add this so other could bring enough cash if opposed to paying credit card fees.

Yelp
I ordered online and turned down a one way street to find the place. The service was nice and I got the pie real easy. I would say the pizza here is an 8.1, definitely a bar pie style pizza which is not terrible.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Angeloni's Restaurant. It was a Saturday at 11:15am. You can order slices up front but they are so thin and small that it makes more sense to purchase a small pie. The interior is very decorative with arches that resemble Roman aqueducts and the mixologiost is housed in his own villa or rather a room with a villa look. I was aware of their style of pizza beforehand although I prefer deep dish. The small and thin slices are more suited for little people. The Spicy Zingada was amazing especially since it was almost all Spicy Zingada without the dough. I enjoyed my meal while watching the powered down television and listening to Hall & Oats. Pineapple pizza haters would love this place since the bread would never be able to hold that weight.
google avatar

Darren Z.

Yelp
I had heard about this place for quite some time and decided to finally stop in the other day when I had a pizza craving. Since it was my first time I wanted to go with a plain pie to get a feel for how they make a pizza and it did not disappoint, especially if you like a good bar pie. It has all the qualities a good bar pie should have....crispy, cheesy, and nicely charred. Their sauce is good too...not too sweet and not too heavy. Bar pies are not my favorite but this place really makes it hard to not love a bar pie. I'll definitely come back and try some other menu items in the near future.

Yelp
True Score. 3.5 Stars The "Thinny Thin." Their thin crust pizza, known as "thinny thin" is less cheesy and filling than regular pizza. It's taste reminds me of the Pizza i used to eat growing up in Brooklyn. If ordering this Pizza I recommend no toppings, its tasty, thin and doesn't need any. I always order their house salad along with their pie. The garlic knots are tasty and are served with any order. Their ginger calamari is a must try also. No complaints about the service and very affordable as a BYOB. Thanks

Yelp
Some of the best pizza in New Jersey. The famous thinny thin is amazing! So thin and crispy cooked to perfection. The atmosphere inside is cozy and authentic. Great service and great prices. Go here now and try it. Honestly one of the best pizzas I have ever had.

Yelp
Cute place. Very Italianesque. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking in the area. We started with the long hots, sausage and potatoes. This was outstanding. Love the crispiness of the potatoes. Mozzarella sticks were very good also as well as the chicken Pastena soup. Pizza was outstanding. Very crispy, great tangy flavor to the sauce. Simple yet perfect. Have been there 2 times in the last 8 days. Creature of habit ... ordered the same exact food both days.

Yelp
Food was great and the ambiance was top tier. I went with some friends and the service was impeccable. The desserts are to die for. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
The BESTA PIZZA. I eat a slice of that Thinny thin in the car on the way home. It's amazing. Their food is also really good! I love the chicken parm. Weekends are tough to just walk in - but it's so good it's worth the wait!

Yelp
The BEST thinny thin pizza EVER. I live in Fair Lawn and drive to Caldwell to pick up pizza and bring back home to Fair Lawn

Yelp
Oh. My. GODDDDDDD. Well. A former lido, former Ralph's, formers jacks lover is CONVERTED. Had an event in that area finally and went for it. 4 pies in order of magical delicious perfection all thinny thin unless specified 1. SPICY ZINGADA 2. Plain 3. Pepperoni 4. Michael (regular but still thin crust) Even reheated after the 40ish minute drive so good. Sauce coverage, cheese coverage, topping preparation (zingada has so many tasty toppings but still crispy! No one else has managed this!) Now let's talk...appetizers. Because I would drive 40 minutes for their mussels marinara, they didn't include bread which was a super shame because that sauce was so flavorful. The calamari is (again reheated!) was unbelievably tender. No lemon but oh well. Would have liked a receipt because (and truly I was scattered as I had just received an emergency call) the young lady said something about 10% off if you pay cash and I don't know I'd she gave me my total before or after that so I gave her 110 for a 109 order plus 5 singles separately as a tip. Pizza made the emergency sting less so if they got a really good tip, bless them.

Yelp
Great place! Service is outstanding and Jacob is an awesome host! Best Italian cuisine around.

Yelp
Get the thingy thin .. It's a fairly good pizza Also the calamari were also good. We had dinner with family, so had split 3 calamari, 4 pies and no left overs ...

Yelp
If you like crispy thin crust pizza then this place is for you! My husband and I love this place and come often. The service and food are consistently delicious. I love that they bring fresh bread and garlic knots to your table once you sit down. The garlic knots are garlic heaven! Also, I love that they give a 10% discount for paying in cash!

Yelp
We went there to celebrate my son and his classmates' second place win during an indoor percussion competition. We were so excited and the waitress said there was a last minute cancellation so we got a table for 6 and placed in a round table by the window. Yes they so packed but the service was questionable. We waited for more than 40 minutes for a forgotten chicken Marsala after our 2 pizza pies. We got a grandma pizza that looked like a regular plain pie and a thinny thin that was fine. We automatically got charged 20 percent gratuity for mediocre service and that was for 6 people and paid 168 for salad, 2 pizzas, Marsala and iced tea and calamari. At least the calamari was delicious. My husband later called and may have left a large blue phone charger air compressor(Halo brand) right outside of the restaurant by the pizza man statue and the person who answered the phone said to call later at 4 pm. My husband and son loved Angeloni's but may think twice before eating here again. Take out is a much better option in the future.

Yelp
I had some errands to run in the Caldwell area, so I made it a point to pick up a "Thinny Thin" pie from Angeloni's Pizzeria. I'm a big fan of Dave Portnoy's pizza reviews from Barstool Sports, and he had given this place an 8.8 for their "thinny thin" pizza. I called the order in, showed up 20 minutes later, and it was ready for pick up. Fortunately, they take credit cards. The pizza really was thin. The large is probably only good for 2 people who are hungry. I could easily eat the large pie alone. The cheese didnt stand out too much against the tomato sauce, which i found very herby. I liked the pizza overall, my main issue is that it's not a filling pizza for the price. 8.3 outta 10 for me.

Yelp
Angelonis is just a wonderful family owned business who treated myself and my friends as if we were family. If you are coming here then a must have is their thinny thin pizza. Super crispy and super flavorful. I probably could've eaten this by myself lol. My friends and I started w a antipasto which was brimming w all the usual suspects but were a excellent addition to their complimentary garlic knots and fresh bread. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic but we also had some delicious fried calamari and shrimp Angelonis (shrimp w Marsala sauce) both which I would recommend. Another item i unfortunately didn't get a pic of but I highly suggest is their normal thin pizza w crumbled sausage and onions. I plead w you to not order w sliced sausage, it just doesn't taste as good . Another great dish w a little bit of heat and a nice vinegary bite is the rigatoni zingada. Lastly for dessert I highly recommend their chocolate pudding pie (almost reminds me of a ice chest pie)
google avatar

Yelp
So good. I might order a thinny thin soon! I've always wanted to eat in since the place looks pretty amazing inside.

Yelp
There is no hype it's actually the best tasting pizza I have ever had. After following pizzajoints on FB I started going to places in the area. I have been to kinchleys and wykoff, Ralph's in Nutley, Turano's in Livingston, star Tavern in oranges. It has been an amazing experience trying all these wonderful pizzas but I have to say my favorite so far is Angelonis their thinythin is delicious the dough is basically firm but chewy and the cheese and sauce are amazing. Loved it!

Yelp
I saw this place was voted #1 pizza in New Jersey, needless to say I had to try & was extremely disappointed. Pizza is mediocre at best. The chicken parm was okay, definitely had better.

Anthony G.

Yelp
Terrible meal delivery took over an hour and a half. everything arrived cold, calamari was cold and soggy as well as it's sauce. The pizza was cold, burnt and dried out as if it was made yesterday. A totally disappointing experience

Marie C.

Yelp
The thin crust pizza is excellent. The service on Saturday night was horrible. We were ignored for at least 20 minutes. Then repeatedly ignored. The music was so loud so that everyone in the restaurant was shouting over it in order to be heard. I asked the staff to please lower it and I think they made it louder.
google avatar

Sean F.

Yelp
Outstanding Food and Service, can't Recommend this place enough! Definitely great food and prices you will be Extremely Happy and Thankful you found this place!!
google avatar

Nelly L.

Yelp
What a disappointment. We ordered a pie, salad and boneless chicken savoy with cavetelli. Portion of chicken was laughable. Looks like they took a small checking breast and cut into 6 chunks. Barely enough for one person. Chicken and pasta was $15. I would have been better off going to Popeyes. I called to express my disappointment and was told that's the size of chicken since I didn't have bones. Honestly I will not order from here again. This is the 2nd time I am disappointed in their portions and response to a dissatisfied customer.
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Great place all around! The star is truly their "Thinny Thin" pie as many reviews will state. You can order it with toppings or plain, either way its phenomenal. The difference between this thin pie and other standard bar pies is the burnt cheese crust. It tastes best served fresh out of the oven, so I would try to eat it when it's hot. Another entrée we really enjoy is the Chicken Angeloni which is very similar to Chicken Scarpariello but with a balsamic-style glaze. If you like your food spicy, order this dish with the hot peppers. Even the medium seems to be too hot for me, but very delicious. It can be busy almost every night of the week, so either order ahead or be prepared to wait. It is not that big inside the restaurant.

David M.

Yelp
Pizza is one of the best in the area. Food is good solid option for traditional Italian.

Rachel C.

Yelp
Wow! I don't know why anyone would eat any other pizza in a state where Angeloni's exists. Their pie is so great, it is a revelation. It is hard for me to even grasp how their pies are so much better than anything I've ever tasted. Their garlic knots completely changed my appreciation of garlic knots that are normally huge and doughy, and not really my cup of tea. These are crunchy and soft and full of perfect garlic flecks. I cannot say enough good things about this pizza! And the family who run it are just the sweetest and kindest people.

Yelp
I discovered Angeloni's in the midst of the pandemic as I was browsing pizza restaurants that I have yet to try. Needless to say, they proclaim they're famous for thin-crust pizza, and it's true: the thin crust pizza is to die for. My boyfriend and I have ordered pizza twice so far for pickup, and we've tried the mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, garlic bread, famous thinny thin pizza, Zingada pizza, and Michael's pizza (don't ask how we ate that much). The calamari and mozzarella sticks were nothing impressive, but nice if you need those extra sides for your Italian dinner. The Zingada pizza indeed has a spicy kick to it (not super spicy, just a zest) which was really yummy, and you could really taste the crisp crust and cheese on the thinny thin cheese pizza. One thing that really surprised us was the portion of garlic bread we got for the $5.50 price. Since it was a side, we expected maybe 1 loaf or so of garlic bread, and was pleasantly surprised to open a separate pizza box FULL of garlic bread. Well worth the money. We couldn't finish it all, so we wrapped them up and put them in the fridge/freezer and toasted them at our heart's pleasure. The only reason why I took one star off is because the two times we've ordered pick up at a certain time, they were always late and we were made to wait another 10-15 minutes. Usually, this was because they forgot a part of our order, or they made the wrong pizza (the first time, they gave us the wrong size and let us keep that one but we had to wait longer for the right order). Maybe we were just unlucky those two times, but I would definitely go back and support regardless because of how good the pizza is.

Yelp
WOW! The Thinny Thin large pie! Who knew thin pizza could be so delicious. I usually do not like extremely thin bar pies (think Pete and Elda's), but now I realize it's because those thin bar pies I've had in the past were not flavored like Angeloni's! This pie was delicious! Super pretty restaurant, and extremely friendly staff. I highly recommend trying this pie. The next time I am somewhat in this area I will try their regular bar pie. The restaurant accepts credit cars. Side street parking available (had meters). I saw signs for additional parking behind the restaurant but I didn't explore.
