Angiol d'Or

A Gem in the Heart of Parma Angiol d’Oro deserves top marks on every level. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel immediately at home. We started with a truly original appetizer: a black cabbage flan served with gorgonzola sauce. It was a fantastic creation – rich, flavorful, and unlike anything we’ve tried before. For the main course, I enjoyed tortelli filled generously with pumpkin, offering a wonderful sweet-salty contrast of pumpkin and Parmigiano, alongside tortelli with spinach and ricotta, equally delicious. My husband was very satisfied with his pasta with shrimp, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Wine and coffe. Cost 79€. The location is central, the prices are very fair, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Everything we tried tasted heavenly. Without doubt, Angiol d’Oro is a place we would return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Parma.

Tasty dinner experiencing the classics in Parma. Torta fritta, parmigiano and prosciutto for appetizers, followed by tortelli ricotta erbette and zucca. The service was very friendly, the restaurant was just off the main piazza, and thus a very charming atmosphere.

We are attracted to this restaurant because it had good recommendations. We arrived right when they opened without a reservation. We were shuffled off to a separate room from where everybody else was being seated. Felt strange from the beginning when we were given American menus. The waiter service was fine and the food was Fine, just felt like the maître D recognized us as Americanos and sent us off by ourselves. Strange experience.

Bellísimo! I loved this restaurant, recommend by a friend from Parma. 📍First off, the location is excellent just off the Piazza del Duomo The restaurant is spacious, bright and has a chic modern decoration, a bit arty too. Two main dining areas, some tables have amazing views directly of the Duomo. Excellent and professional service! Delicious food, I loved the 30-month parmigiano-reggiano with a pear sauce 🍐. As for pasta, I decided to order the bis di tortelli which both of the typical pasta dishes for this region, erbetta + zucca (pumpkin). There are many other delicious dishes and a nice wine list as well. Molto bene!

Excellent regional specialities, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Staff were attentive and spoke excellent English. We had the prosciutto taster and fried bread, a very good asparagus flan in a Parmesan sauce and local pasta. Very tasty. The interior design and ambience was also excellent.

Simply, the high marks are well deserved. We loved this place. The appetizers were terrific. The service top quality. And the entrees awesome no matter what you select. If you can get there when they open you have a chance of outdoor seating, but a reservation is recommended.

Great experience! I reserved a table via WhatsApp with Giorgio and he let me know that they could do Tortelli and Anolini gluten free but that they can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. when we arrived he knew it was me the gluten free :-) and we had an amazing dinner. The location of the restaurant is in the immediate old town and offers beautiful views of the cathedral of Parma and the inside of the restaurant ist beautifully decorated. I had the Tortelli - 4 of pumpkin and 4 of ricotta and spinach and they were to die for. Super delicious and followed up with the duchessa di parma which also was amazing. I felt very safe eating here and they had great knowledge. The normal pasta my partner ordered was also delicious and he also went with the duchessa di parma. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the perfect dinner in Parma!

Not that they need any further custom, but Antonia and Giorgio deserve credit for a restaurant where you feel welcome, and all the staff seem to love working there. Just a great dining experience- couple of tips- lash out and have the Foie Gras if it's on the menu, and book ahead!

What a view of the Baptistry and Duomo. Menu was in English so we did not know what to expect. The service was cordial and friendly very helpful picking out an amazing dinner. I went with the cantelinni which was very light and refreshing. We split the house salad and bottle of Parma wine which was very tasty. Overall all the markings of a tourist trap that delivered a solid meal and we highly recommend

A fabulous restaurant with great staff, food and ambiance. The fresh pasta is incredible and I loved the whole vibe of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this spot when visiting Parma!

Lovely restaurant all around. Beautiful view of the bapistry and duomo piazza. The inside is elegant, yet inviting. Service was outstanding.

Italian design sun room serving delicious tortelloni. Had the sampler of potato along with ricotta. Amberjack appy was particularly delicious. One of our tastiest lunches in northern Italy.

Conveniently located right next to Duomo di Parma. Here is a perfect location for some authentic Italian food while touring the City. One might expect Angiol D'or be extremely touristy because of it's location. I do find the experience delightful. The extension sun room area has a view of the Bapistry. We were offered a table there instead of the actual dining area, which is dim and more traditional decorated. We ordered a few item to share. And of course some wine for me as a meal would not be complete without wine in Italy. We shared 2 pasta, main and dessert and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was top notch and we had a good lunch. Time for Siesta!

We were so fortunate to get a reservation for this little gem by the piazza. We were seated inside, which was beautiful and elegant as well as cool. The service was attentive, professional and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. The wine list was extensive. I high recommend the platter of local meats as well as Parmesan and the pastas as well as wine from the region. We had a fabulous meal. A good sign - there was a HUGE party of locals having dinner, so I would definitely not define this as touristy, even though an English menu is available.

I am going to give them five star despite the obnoxious people from the states we were sitting next to. I completely fell in love with this restaurant, it was one of my favorite places to eat. The food and customer service was spectacular. I was very fortunate to stumble across a wonderful restaurant that had several outstanding gluten-free dishes on the menu. We ranked them as one of the best restaurants in Italy to dine for lunch or dinner. However, I am going to apologize for any rude Americans that happens to find their way in this restaurant. My fellow Americans when dining out, please show some curtesy and respect when traveling abroad. The food and service in here is outstanding, so I think the servers in here deserve some kindness back in return.

Our favorite place to eat in Parma! We ate here a few times 3 years ago and the food was amazing, we were very hopeful when we came back to visit and the food was still amazing! We start with the Torta Fritta (my favorite!) and Prosciutto di Parma, we also tried the Soft Artichoke with a Parmesan and saffron sauce which was delicious and unique! Then the Carbonara Angiol D'or style, so good and super unique! This is one of our favorite dishes. We also tried the Black Angus Steak with three peppers, very good. Then finished it with a Coffee Creme Brûlée! The wine selections were also very good! The staff is always so nice! Very beautiful setting right by the Cathedral Plaza. Indoor seating and outdoor covered seating! You definitely need to make reservations! I would highly recommend eating here !

Quite cold and unfriendly service. Portions very small. Had read such glowing reviews I was a little disappointed. It's in a beautiful part of the city but I don't think I'd return.

While in Italy my wife and I went out to eat for just about every meal and this restaurant in my opinion was the best of them all! I had the ravioli stuffed with herbs and cheese for the first course and it was awesome. For the second it was sliced beef and fingerling potatoes, incredible. For desert was Green apple sorbet which was also great. I highly recommend this place if you would like to have a great meal in Parma.

Lovely dining room and view of the Baptistry. The eggplant parmigiana was outstanding, as was the pumpkin tortellini. The pork in a Lambrusco reduction was a bit too over cooked, but still very nice in the delicious sauce. Overall a very fine meal, good service and delicious Lambrusco!

The best dining I have had so far in Italy (only been here a few days, but still...). My companion and I had eggplant Parmesan, and potato flan to start- both scrumptious and beautifully plated. We then had two different fresh pasta dishes that were equally good. I wish I remembered the name of the wine we drank that was also great. Importantly. When we arrived they had a full house and told us if we would like, we could have a seat (at the only open table), although, it would be a while. But the food came at a more than reasonable time! He service was amazing and attentive. Happy far beyond expectations! Will go again tomorrow to taste more off the menu!

My wife and I have been in Italy for two weeks. We arrived in Parma today and had our best meal so far. Giorgio was a gracious host, and he employs a group of charming waitresses (including his daughter) who made our dining experience a real pleasure. My grilled tuna and my wife's pasta were perfectly prepared. We would go back tomorrow except that they're closed on Mondays. Make a reservation if you're thinking about going on a weekend!
