The service was friendly and the atmosphere was convivial. I ordered the Florentine steak for one rare. It tasted very good but was not as rare as I expected. This could be just a difference in how steak is cooked here. I did enjoy it and it was a nice special night out considering I am travelling alone. The zucchero was also delicious.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here during our stay in Florence! We discovered it one night during a walk home to our airbnb. He ordered the Florentine steak and I ordered one of the spaghetti dishes. He said it was the best steak he has ever had and is still dreaming about it. We loved the ambiance and would definitely go back to try more dishes!

Wonderful dining experience! Watching the chefs prepare our meals! The food was amazing! The eggplant, the dessert! An absolute must!!

The food was great, and the service was really good. I would highly recommend the Florentine steak and the wild boar. They did seat us with a party of six without a reservation, but it's tough to make one without a phone number listed to call (at the time of this review). Also, The flambeau was not on fire when brought to you, if that is what you are expecting, they didn't do that here.

Everything we were looking for in an authentic neighborhood trattoria for lunch. Fantastic fried artichokes in the early November season. Ribollita traditional thick soup. A great pasta cooked in red wine and served with bacon, onions and parma. Delicious panna cotta for dessert. Excellent welcoming service. Sorry we dont have another day in Florence to go back!

Exceptional value on the two person steak dish. The restuarant was recommended by our Westin Hotel and they made an excellent choice. Super tasty meal and huge, without having to go broke. Looking forward to returning there on our next trip to Florence. Highly recomend. It is a very nice restaurant with a lot of classical charm and with a friendly staff too. The best value by far on our three day trip to Florence. I wish we could have said the same thing about the other places we visited.

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch of fried polenta with ragù, spaghetti all’arrabbiata and rigatoni con pomodoro e pancetta and two desserts…great experience (Mario was our server)…great food and great service. On our last night we had a hard decision to return there or go to Casa Toscana off of Santa Croce. I wish we had returned to Casa Toscana. Our dinner experience was awful. I hate posting this as lunch was so good it brought us back for dinner, but tonight, the host was rude, we were not attended to and both our meals were not good at all. We ordered the fried polenta with ragù (very good!) but they served us a bread basket with old, stale bread. The chicken was fatty though the sautéed spinach was good. The grilled sausage with cannellini beans left much to be desired. If you are American, don’t expect to feel welcomed at dinner time. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. If you are there around lunch time, ask for Mario.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! My husband and I came for dinner and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana to start and then split the Florentine steak and roasted potatoes. All of the food was so delicious. The vibe of the restaurant was nice, definitely not 100% upscale but a great place for a special dinner. Definitely make a reservation in advance as they seemed to be busy most days. Would highly recommend this place!
