It is a very beautiful resort, of course. Fantastic Khmer style architecture on a very grand scale. Regardless us being there just after Christmas, the evenings even around the pool were very quiet. I found it to be a lovely restful spot for our family with kids even during the busy season.|The obvious is obvious, and, as in the photos on the website, the premises are amazing and immaculately clean. Staff is very obliging and blooms in smiles whenever they meet you. ||The less obvious things that could use some simple improvements would be the lighting in the bathrooms that is too dark even with all lamps on. At most times, I could barely see where I am putting make up on my face. Romantic dimmed light for a luxurious bathroom is grand, but way too dark for doing anything practical.|The resort is a bit distant to anything in town, namely places to eat and to shop so you'd be reliant on a ride to get anywhere. Walking to restaurants is also possible but not after a tiring day at the Temples, especially for families. So basically we hang around the resort in the pool in the evenings with little to eat as their bar menu pricing for food and drinks is well over the top. I highly recommend stocking up on take aways, drinks and snacks in town before you return to the hotel.|WiFi is very slow, most of the time I resigned to uploading my pictures just using the mobile data as the WiFi was getting me nowhere. |The front desk staff is super nice and polite but not very expertly at the basics of the reception work. Took a surprising almost 10 hours and 3 repeated requests to have an iron and ironing board finally to be delivered to the room. Tours start so early, so obviously I wanted to have clothes ironed the evening prior instead of the rush of the morning. We also had an issue where the reception insisted upon arrival that our kids pay extra for breakfast, even though the booking.com confirmation for all of us clearly and plainly stated - "breakfast included". Not to be "paid extra, discussed or negotiated for certain members of the party on the arrival". Reception didn't give any clear explanation, was uncertain yet held a defensive position in the case, and dismissed us to contact booking.com. Booking.com later reimbursed that surcharge for us, the adding of which was, of course, a mistake in the first place. ||Other than that, the resort is amazing and whatever little time we had there after visiting the temples of Angkor for a number of days, it was wonderful and a great spot to chill out after a busy, hot day. The gym is very nice too and we used regularly. Rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is something we were talking in superlatives about for a long time after we went home! We didn't get to enjoy it on the last morning because we left very early, but had impeccably packed breakfast boxes for us at the reception. |A perfect place for couples and families with children. Your young, exhausted kids after the looong hot days spent at the temples will be delighted to come back in the evening to swim in the huge beautiful pools :)) Moods and energy restored 😇
