Angle Inn

Overall experience was pretty good! We both got the Italian Beef sandwich and it was very tasty! Big portions, great flavor and fun atmosphere. I can see me and some friends hanging there for a while. The tap beer menu is a good size and tastes fresh. Couple things about the service. Our waitress didn’t know the answer to any of our questions. We had never been here before and had basic questions and also asked for recommendations and she couldn’t help. That caught us off guard. Also would help to not roll your eyes at us when we ask how much a cocktail is, that happened as well. The service was also pretty slow. Would I go back, yes.

Went on a holiday Sunday night. Place was busy. Two servers working hard. We sat out on the patio and had beers and pizza. The bacon cheese fries were great. The pizza was great. Beautiful night, cold beer, good food. Tough to beat.

Fried chicken gizzards done right! Not many places you can get gizzards, and when you do, they’re usually so tough you can’t eat em. Not here! These gizzards are prepped and fried to perfection! I highly recommend the Angle Inn’s fried gizzards. Get em, you’ll be glad you did.

I had the Rachel which isn't often on the menu with the Reuben. It was delicious as were the homemade chips.

I live out in the country,so there are not many places to dine out,I've driven past this place many times going into Cedar Rapids,it was lunch time,so I decided I'm going to stop here today,my wife and I are extremely happy we stopped,the service was great,the food was delicious,I had a French Dip,so good,I can't remember what my wife had,I was enjoying mine too much,I can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a great meal,I highly recommend this place! Oh yeah,the Margaritas 🍹 are great also!

Great food & service!

Typical small town bar - crowded inside when we were there. Two servers were working hard but still friendly and accommodating. We had pizza out on their deck. Beautiful night, pizza was tremendous. We'll be back.

Never had a bad meal here, the food is always exceptional, the portions huge, and the price is very affordable. Try the Pickle Fries!

Let me start out by saying,my wife and I love Bully's Angle Inn,when my sister's told me they were coming to visit,this was the first place that we thought of taking them,we bragged about how great the Raspberry Jalepeno Margaritas are,when we got there we ordered three,one of my sisters didn't want one,until she took a sip of mine,then she wanted one of her own,I waved my arms at the waitress,she looked at me,but didn't acknowledge me,so I wasn't sure if she saw me,so I waved my arms three or four more times,not even a look,I saw she was taking drinks to the table next to us,so I waved my arms again, this time she looked at me and shouted " JUST A MINUTE!" ,when she came to our table I tried to explain to her that I didn't know if she seen me or not,but she didn't care,I don't know her name,but the name on the check was Randi,my brother and his wife are coming to visit me next week,I planned on taking them to Bully's, but I'm not sure now,if and when we do go back,if she is going to be our waitress,I'll leave and go to the Saloon up the street. I am probably one of the most sympathetic people to waitresses,I know they deal with a lot of perks at times,all I wanted was an acknowledgement that she seen me,not to be yelled at,at this time,I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable going back.

This is an above average small town bar in a very convenient spot just off the highway in Walford, Iowa. The ambiance is updated and spacious. The patio looks legit! Pricing is on point. Menu and beer selection is on par. (Huzzah Big Grove and Exile being offered!) My family has ordered the broasted chicken for years. This time, however, the chicken's breading was a bit different then what we are accustomed to. It was still good-- but the potatoes were the star this trip. Hands down. I called ahead on a Saturday afternoon around 2PM in July. I said I had a dozen folks coming and requested 30 pieces of chicken. They said they could do only 15 pieces, the rest was dethawing. It was also recommended we had a reservation and to come an hour later. That ended up working out well but wasn't at all what I expected! The staff was knowledgable and kind, but very slow-- even with it being a Sonly comfortably busy on a weekend afternoon. Overall, the Angle Inn is a gem of a watering hole. Stop in!

Great food!! My only issue is the wait for food .. been there at slow times and it still took quite a while to receive our order. Everyone is very nice though

Great burgers! Hand pattied, tasty bun. Wings are also pretty good. Cramped when busy, but we usually order take out burgers when we go. B roasted chicken is also very good-juicy and baked to perfection. Atmosphere is laid back, and friendly. Great staff, support this local business!

Super good food and service. Best pizza in the area. Tenderloin's are al aye so delish . Fair prices too!

Came here with a big group of 30+ people and they did a great job of serving us for the most part. The waitress did forget to deliver a few drink orders, but that was understandable as people were showing up at different times. I ordered the Italian beef sandwich and it was phenomenal. I also tried a chicken taco that was alright, but nothing too great. This restaurant seems like a great place to come to for a drink with friends as it is very sociable. They have a large outdoor patio that seems perfect for summer nights. Overall, this is a great restaurant to come to if looking for a bite to eat in Walford.

This place is great! Service was fantastic, and the food was even better. Bacon Burger exceeded expectations and the fries are wonderful! We will definitely be back.

I miss Connie's Angle Inn! 3 other tables of people in the place, and finally got my 2nd beer after my glass was empty for 40 minutes. The waitress finally put the Cubs game on after we asked for the 4th time. I love the remodel, and the food is great! The only thing missing are waitresses!

Mid afternoon on a Sunday. Dim lite bar, diet coke yuck. Food was good, but reach deep into your wallet because it is not cheap. For being a small town bar you would expect cheaper prices, I guess they want to recapture the cost of the remodel. Staff was slow, and food takes forever to get to you. Not sure if I would frequently pick this over a Texas Roadhouse or Cheddars. About the same price point.

Great place.... if you'd like a bad case of food poisoning. Food under cooked, meat was raw. Horrible customer service not once did any one apologize or offer to fix the issue.

Not the homey atmosphere that Connie provided when she owned owned it, but hey! It's a Bullicek bar and that makes it worth the trip every time!

Came by and it was a fun place to stop by on our way to the Colonies. Thought about it again so they must be doing things right. Keep up the good work!

Bully's is a Great place to grab a drink and dinner. The fresh squeezed vodka lemonade's are very refreshing. All the food we have had here has been very good. The Smitty Sandwich is a personal favorite. It is large enough for 2 to share. The Calzones and Pizza are the best around. It is a very clean place. Definitely worth a drive from Iowa City or Cedar Rapids to check out. Kelly the manager runs a very efficient place, insuring great service.

Nicely done renovation - still charming. Food is excellent. Highly recommend the thin crust pizza.... and the vodka with fresh squeezed lemonade - they've got a generous amount of alcohol in there - so careful!

Good food at a good price. They really did a nice job of remodeling. Been there a couple of times now and it's always good no matter what we get.

Horrible food, never go back again. Beer was good, tenderloin and fries were pure grease. Not cooked properly, the person I was with said it seemed like the oil was not up to temperature. Never will go back, was my first and last time.

Nice change from old place! Went during lunch but for some reason you could not order pizza. There was only a few folks in there and they must be regulars because they were drunk and obnoxious. I was the only one at the bar and service sucked. Ordered food and it was not as described on menu. I would not recommend this place if your a local there is not much too choose from, bar down the street sucks too. I would say take a drive to Fairfax or Cedar Rapids. From what I saw with the the inebriated regulars it wont be long before the police crack down and up the DUI quota! My advice stay away not with the effort.

We've gone here multiple times, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But every time we've gone we get the shittiest server possible. They never check to see if our food is good, they don't ask if we want more drinks...terrible service every time. I actually got up to go to the bar because we needed another drink after being there over 30 minutes, because she didn't bother to come back to the table. They have good food, but terrible service.

We recently moved to the area and patronized Bully's Angle Inn because of the reputation of the owners in the restaurant and bar business. Our first several trips to the restaurant we're great experiences -- good food, atmosphere and service. However, our recent visits have been less than desirable with regard to service, which has been poor to put it mildly. Hope it improves because we like going there.

Had one of the best Pork Tenderloins in the area there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for you, I will be back.

This place was amazingly remodeled and has the absolute best calzones in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area. It may be a bit off the path for many but definitely worth the drive to Walford to try this bar/restaurant.

Stopped in on a late afternoon. Great job on remodel nice atmosphere, the service was less than desirable, I had to ask to be served. Hopefully things will get better

I work in the mental health field so believe me when I say I understand someone having a bad day due to circumstances that I do not understand. However last night my fiance and I joined two friends to dine and enjoy a few drinks at your establishment. Although the food was okay and satisfactory, the service we received from the young waitress left me unimpressed. My fiance and I started on our own and had one waitress, and when our friends joined us a different waitress took over. The beer was not cold as it sat on the bar waiting to be brought to our table for at least 7 minutes. Our 2nd waitress was very unpleasant and had an attitude that we were bothering her. She never took empty things from the table when she came to the table the 2 times she stopped. In addition we were still eating and talking and drinking and she comes over and puts the bill in our friends face. He stated I didnt ask for the bill, she said I can add as you go, he then stated why would you print the bill off when it is clear we are not leaving yet. I didnt hear what she said, but she stormed off to the bar and complained to a woman with short blonde hair. Now I am not familiar with why someone would have this attitude as our table did nothing to warrant that behavior. We paid our bill and left and went to another establishment where we spent close to another 70 dollars just in drinks. If this is the type of service that is appropriate for your staff I can tell you we will never be back to your establishment.

went in for some food the other night, didnt care for the manager on duty that night. kelly needs a better attitude dealing with customers. short and rude with us. good food, but mgr's attitude ruined it for us. we'll pass. meh...
