Had a great stay and was what I expected. Clean, comfortable with a friendly and helpful host plus its walking distance to beach and shops. Very well equipped kitchen. Would stay again for sure.

Pillows are THE WORST. Big pillow are to damn big to be comfortable and the small pillows are really flat. The lady was really nice, the place is organized and clean and the kitchen has everything what you need! Great for cooking when you are alone. If another visitors want to cook at the same time it may be chaotic.

Hostess was friendly, welcoming and helpful. If you like basic, this is the place for you. Rooms are private with key locks. Neat and tidy, the room had a double bunk bed with single at top & also had a large roomy ensuite bathroom. Linen is basic and could do with a freshen up. The shared kitchen and lounge are good. Lounge is very low and difficult to get out of if you have mobility problems. A great benefit to this place is no stair climbing - only 2 out front and a ramp at the rear of the property. Close to town.

Well situated. Its a budget place to sleep and leave the next morning. It has just the minimun of what you need.

Comfortable and great location in town, within short walking distance of the beach, cafes and restaurants. Barbara is super friendly and helpful with lots of local recommendations. Gave me a lift to Addis Point to do a scenic hike back into town. Would definitely stay again!

The hostel was very clean and the owner was very welcoming. But there was only one small shower and toilet to share between 10 people (male/female/adults/children), which definitely isn’t enough. Although the kitchen was very clean it wasn’t equipped with enough utensils so unless you have your own, you might struggle to cook an evening meal. No air-con in the mixed dorm so even with the door open it can get quite stuffy at night. Overall quite a disappointing experience compared to other hostels we have stayed in throughout Australia.

A lovely place to stay whilst in Anglesea! The backpackers is very homely, with the use of free wifi, a tv, a fully functional kitchen, free bike hire and a nice outdoor decking. It is in within 10 minute walking distance of the shops and the beach. ||||The ladies who run the hostel are absolutely amazing. They make you feel so welcome and are happy to help out with any questions you have as well as making you feel very comfortable. ||||I stayed here for over a week at the start of the summer and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It is also without doubt the cleanest hostel I have stayed in whilst travelling. ||||I would 100% recommend it for anyone who is passing through and looking for a place to stay.

Yelp
This is a tiny little backpackers tucked away in a residential area, but within walking distance to beach, shops, pub, etc. The set up is like an extension of the owners' house, so offers a homely, quiet atmosphere in communal living area and kitchen. Staff are very relaxed, friendly, hospitable and keen to make you feel welcome and offer info on the region. Dorms are clean, but a little too compact and in need of better ventilation... A fan at the very least to avoid the "bikram yoga" sleeping conditions with 6 bodies crammed in a room. Mattresses are just foam, so not ideal if you're prone to aches and pains. A good crash pad for a night if you're passing through and looking for some mellow cocoon time away from hardcore adventure/party travel.
