First and foremost, my massage and facial were lovely, my therapist was fantastic and so friendly.
Unfortunately, the spa is very tired, old, quite dirty and needs a revamp. When I was walking to my treatment, there was another therapy room door open, with a therapist lounging scrolling through her phone. Not at all phased by guests walking around.
The Vineyard is such a wonderful hotel, and the spa just doesn't match that. The rooms appear to be old hotel rooms from a while back, with beds in the middle, a spa bath and shower with organza type curtains, so the sunlight streams in - not really what you want for a massage.
The colours are horribly gawdy, the decor is from the 70's and the worst part, was that it just wasn't clean. The oil burner had someone's old hair in it and the oil had stained the porcelain (that's how long that had been there), the casio clock on the table was covered in dust and everything just seemed a bit dirty. The reception bathrooms were also not clean.
For the price you pay, the experience doesn't fully match up. Again, the therapist did a fantastic job, but this place needs to be revamped asap.
