Fantastic setting and good facilities with reasonable service levels. Golf course service needs attention. Breakfast staff friendly but needs attention to detail. Serving cappuccino without a saucer is not hospitality service standards. I had an overall good time though

My experience was quite disappointing. The staff was very kind and the space was relaxing however there are major issues to be addressed: 1. The sheets were badly stained and had a previous client’s hair making it seem like they do not replace the sheets after treatments. I had requested to be moved to a different massaging table because of the stains however it also had stains. For cleanliness they receive a 0/5 (See images) 2. The booking process was very frustrating as their phone number found online was not working. Then when attempting to reach them through the hotel reception, they struggled to put me through. They then gave me the WhatsApp number which they couldn’t pick up as “the phone was charging”. 3. The treatment was not good either. The masseuse was rushed and was not consistent on both sides of my body. Imbalanced and disappointing.

I am not one to write reviews, but I feel you need to hear this feedback. I have been coming to Angsana Spa for 8 years so I am used to having a phenomenal experience. I visited your spa today and was appalled at the poor quality of the entire experience from booking to the time I left the spa. Firstly, no one called me back as promised to secure my booking - I had to follow up. Secondly, I was told I could not book a 90 minute massage, only a 60 minute one because they were so busy. So I booked the 60 minute massage knowing the quality is worth it, but what I received was a shortened, inconsistent and sub-par massage. The massage therapist didn't seem well-trained at all with poor technique and only using one hand for parts of the massage - seemingly doing something else, probably scrolling on her phone? Completely off - putting, disrespectful and sloppy. The therapist was also abrupt and unfriendly. For a pricey R850 for a 60 minute massage at a luxury spa - extremely disappointed! I will not be returning.

First and foremost, my massage and facial were lovely, my therapist was fantastic and so friendly. Unfortunately, the spa is very tired, old, quite dirty and needs a revamp. When I was walking to my treatment, there was another therapy room door open, with a therapist lounging scrolling through her phone. Not at all phased by guests walking around. The Vineyard is such a wonderful hotel, and the spa just doesn't match that. The rooms appear to be old hotel rooms from a while back, with beds in the middle, a spa bath and shower with organza type curtains, so the sunlight streams in - not really what you want for a massage. The colours are horribly gawdy, the decor is from the 70's and the worst part, was that it just wasn't clean. The oil burner had someone's old hair in it and the oil had stained the porcelain (that's how long that had been there), the casio clock on the table was covered in dust and everything just seemed a bit dirty. The reception bathrooms were also not clean. For the price you pay, the experience doesn't fully match up. Again, the therapist did a fantastic job, but this place needs to be revamped asap.

I had the most amazing and relaxing experience at the spa. Loved the heated bed for the treatment which added an extra level of pampering. The therapist was so kind and nice and had an amazing touch! Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town!

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a spa of this reputation. Both my friend and I had a poor experience, completely independent of each other, which makes this even more concerning. For a spa of this name and supposed standard, the service was simply not understandable. During my treatment, the therapist repeatedly looked at her phone, seemingly assuming I would not notice. For most of the session, I was “massaged” with only one hand, without any engagement or technique. This was not a massage by any professional standard — it felt careless, lifeless, and disrespectful. This experience fell far below expectations and does not reflect the quality one would expect from a spa of this category. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown.

I arrived today to find out ‘Linda’ did not actually confirm my booking in the system and that I could not have a massage with my mom for her birthday. Please note that I do not live in South Africa and made these arrangements in advance (more than 1 month ago) for this experience. The senior staff member on site was disappointing and make it sound like everything is Linda’s fault. Unfortunately, every single person has access to this mail box and could have followed up on this. Offering a lunch does not mitigate this issue, it’s a lack of respect for your customers, respect for the name of your brand, respect for your reputation. Our family has come multiple times to this establishment, organised vouchers for friends- going forward none of this will occur again.
