Angsana Velavaru

Had the most wonderful stay here for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything exceeded expectations, from the stunning location and the excellent accommodation to the variety of things to do and the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The snorkelling was magical and we managed to see a sea turtle amongst the coral reef. The sunset cruise was so special, with dancing and jumping dolphins around the boat. We used the all inclusive 'Dine' package which was brilliant. Some of our favourite times were sipping fantastic cocktails served with smiles by Littu and Sudeesh while we watched the sunset. The personalised service was amazing. We were looked after in our villa by Azee, who quickly learned what soft drinks we liked in the minibar and made sure we had them every day. Everything was spotlessly clean and maintained beautifully. The food was absolutely excellent at both Kaani restaurant and Kuredi bar. We always had a wonderful table for two on the very edge of the verandah, right next to the beach and Indian Ocean. We cannot thank Afzal, Yazid, Ajija and Niushad enough for their exceptional service. From the moment we arrived at the international airport on Malé and were met by a friendly and professional Angsana representative who handled everything from our luggage to our seaplane check in, it was clear we were in for an amazing time. The only way we could bear to come home was to promise ourselves that we would go back. Angsana Velavaru is a truly special place whose natural beauty is jaw-dropping and only matched by the incredible dedication, friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

Banyan Tree Group never disappoints!||Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a pool villa without any fuss, they did not even mention it so we were suprised when we arrived at our room with a big private pool.||Lots of activites to do|Great spa|Great food|Great reef|Great beach||And best of all, the best staff! Thank you Angsana Velavaru for a very memorable stay. ||Special thanks to Sumith, Rona, Maria, Mushla, Ajija, Laila, Areej, and Anna for taking your time to fulfill our needs, especially to our young ones. The islands and the resort is amazing! The staff is so kind. They went out of their way to make our honeymoon special. Ajija is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Hathim made us a beautiful floral arrangement for our special dinner! And the massage at the Spa was incredible! Worth the long flight!

We have got once-in-a-lifetime experience here. Superb resort. The staff were very helpful and hospitable. We were impressed with a staff at the restaurant on the in-ocean villa area. He was very thoughtful and offered us the best service. We chatted with him almost every day when having meals there and knew more about the life there. I don't have a clear picture of him but a blur one. Hope that the resort team can deliver this message to him that we were happy to meet him 🙂 And V-deck dinner - you must try this for once! It was incredible. Surprisingly, we had this special dinner on a full moon 🌕 everything was perfect.

Amazing trip I honestly enjoyed the service. They took good care of us throughout the trip. Especially want to thank Safia for guiding and showing us around the resort and accompanying us with excellent service.

The experience was terrific. Both beach and ocean villas were really outstanding. Especially the ocean pool villa was impeccable, though the property is a bit old but still offers mesmerizing views and the best of facilities. The food was also unexpectedly quite good and had sufficient Indian options. Even their snorkelling and scuba experience was also excellent. Overall, the experience was just fantastic. Just one issue was there that service could have been slightly better.

This was a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was amazing. Also I would like to nominate a few staff I encountered during my stay. Laila looked after us well for every breakfast. I was really impressed by Ageel from dive centre with his professional skills, humour and his commitment towards his work. Well done of all the staff for their hard work.

Apart from the hiccup at arrival, the rest of the stay was great. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Food was great especially at Azzurro restaurant. The in water villa was superb. We did enjoy our stay greatly. Will definitely return in the future.
