Angsana Velavaru

We had a wonderful and truly memorable experience at Angsana Velavaru. Our stay was perfectly balanced—we spent two days in an InOcean Villa and two days on land, and every moment was enjoyable. We especially loved the DJ night, Bird Feeding, Sunset Cruise, Karaoke Night, and the continental cuisine. The experiences were thoughtfully curated and added a lot of fun to our stay. The spa experience was excellent as well—very relaxing and rejuvenating. One small suggestion we would like to share is to include more vegetarian options in the meals, which would make the dining experience even better. One point we would like to highlight is regarding the Infinity Pool Villa. We had booked this villa in advance; however, since other guests arrived earlier, it was allotted to them on a first-come-first-serve basis. As a result, we were accommodated in a Beachfront Deluxe Villa instead. We appreciate the resort’s kind gesture of offering a floating breakfast and sunset cruise as compensation, which we truly enjoyed. Still, we feel that confirmed reservations should be honoured, regardless of arrival time. Overall, it was a mind-blowing and wonderful experience. I truly fell in love with the Maldives and would definitely love to visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Angsana Velavaru and cannot recommend it highly enough. The Christmas arrangements were absolutely spectacular and made our holiday truly unforgettable. The resort offers so many amazing activities that you’ll never get bored. We went snorkeling in the local reef and saw turtles, a big stingray and countless colorful fish. The love bird feeding was a lovely experience and we also enjoyed the water aerobics and canoeing. The bar serves delicious cocktails and hosts great events throughout your stay. The food was delicious and there was always fresh fruit and specially made omelets at breakfast, served with a big smile. What made our experience even more special was the incredible staff. Laila in the restaurant was always ready with a warm welcome and knew exactly how we liked our coffee. It’s these personal touches that transform a good resort into an exceptional one. During our time here we made wonderful new friends and created memories we’ll treasure forever. If you’re looking for a paradise with outstanding service and endless activities, this is the place.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

From the minute we left departures in Male airport we were treated to the most exceptional service. The Angsana staff at Male airport both on arrival and departure were amazing. ||The welcome we received from the seaplane to the in-ocean villas made us feel so special. ||The room was better than anything we had dreamed of, so large with the most spectacular of views.||From the moment we entered the Azzurra restaurant, Totti could not have been any more accommodating. His attention to detail, his amazing service and just all around likeable character really made our holiday.||The food was to a very high standard, only surpassed by the service.||There is plenty of entertainment on the main island, however, if you are looking for peace and relaxation then stay in the villa area.||Also, shout out to the Saraj( not sure of spelling, sorry!) the amazing barman. All staff were exceptional, really amazing.||The snorkelling from the villas was so good. Simply head towards the reef and explore as much as you want. The Picasso fish were our favourite! Look out for the black tip reef sharks and the rays. ||The only disappointment was having to leave. Thank you so much for an amazing holiday.

It was an amazing experience at the resort! The room (deluxe in-ocean villa) was absolutely stunning - amazing view, spacious and clean! The weather was (against expectations from apple weather app) very good, except dor one night all other days or our 5 night stay were sunny! We enjoyed the sun, the blue / turquoise water and the beautiful fishes inside every day! The menu of food & beverages was excellent, though we had a bit of concerns for an all inclusive restaurant! They are specialized in seafood and it was delicious! Activity wise, you have multiple possibilities and it won’t get boring! We highly recommend jetski, fishing and snorkeling for those who don’t fear to see exotic fishes! Lastly, the staff and service was truly awesome! You meet positive amd friendly people who don’t shy away to go an extra mile to make you enjoy your stay! At this front, a special shoutout to Shia who was such a lovely and welcoming woman and very professional in her job! ☺️👏🏼

Arriving on this island is magical - the sloping beaches & crystal clear water was the perfect welcome. Staff are very friendly and we enjoyed getting to know some of them every day and chatting. The diving was really lovely, thank you to Ageel for giving my family a fantastic few tours of dive sites with sharks, eagle rays, turtles and thousands of fish. Daily snorkel trips were very special too, lots of fun and lots of healthy coral to see. We did have an issue with the location of our room initially, but the staff were very accommodating and sorted it for us happily and kindly with a fantastic alternative we were very happy with. The pool bar food is very tasty & the buffet nice and varied. The sunsets are stunning, cocktails delicious and the new years gala dinner was fantastic, especially the meat & fish! Our family had a lovely time here and we would come again.

Views at every point on this island was amazing! My villa faced the sunrise, so definitely a treat every morning ... Brownie points: 1) Ahmed & his team at the Dive Centre was fantastic! Friendly, helpful and certainly experienced people that you'll go to sea with. Chatting with them while the sun went down were some of the best parts of our stay! 2) House reefs was great, love their conservatory efforts! Lots of Titan fish - so kept a look out 3) Main chef was very hospitable and remembers our order, small touches like this elevates the experience. Things that can improve 1) Service at the main restaurant - a bit understaffed, so service was quite slow. But Laila was great, very friendly and helpful. 2) Housekeeping - the guy managing our room kept saying that he can only clean now (a specific time). Otherwise he's very busy and can't come back, if we dont allow him to clean now. I thought it was kinda unprofessional to make these mentions. Nothing too serious cause we loved our time there and can't wait to go back!

Staying at the In-Ocean Villa in Angsana Velavaru was like living in the biggest open-air aquarium - absolutely stunning views, great marine life and an absolutely relaxing holiday. The waters were ridiculously pristine and the sunsets out of this world. Special shoutout to Daisy from Azzuro restaurant for being such a wonderful host during our meals and to Azmi from the water sports center for taking us out for turtle reef snorkelling!

From the moment we arrived, we knew our stay would be exceptional. The setting is simply paradise: turquoise water, white sand, beautifully designed villas blending perfectly with nature, and a peaceful atmosphere that invites relaxation. The service is outstanding. We would like to specially thank Nasru, Apa, and Eli, who were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. Their smiles, care, and attention to detail truly made our trip unforgettable. The rest of the team was also amazing, always ready to help and assist us with genuine warmth. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and perfectly maintained. The restaurants offer a wide variety of high-quality food, with options for every taste. The activities (snorkeling, excursions, spa, etc.) are well organized and absolutely magical. This is also an excellent hotel to visit with children. There are plenty of activities, services, and amenities available for them, making it easy for families to relax and enjoy their time. In summary, everything was more than perfect. Angsana Velavaru offers much more than a hotel stay — it’s a true escape to happiness. We will definitely come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
