The Best Airlines in US: 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards | Condé Nast Traveler

"Focused on upscale short‑haul travel since 2001, Tradewind Aviation operates charters and scheduled shuttles to destinations like Nantucket and Newport from Westchester and to St. Barts, Antigua, and Anguilla from San Juan using a mix of propeller planes and Citation jets. I appreciate flying from private air terminals, the stress‑free airport operations that include lounges with pre‑flight beverages and snacks, and readers’ praise for its “super helpful and generous staff.”" - CNT Editors, Hannah Towey

Great little airport. Did a medevac mission out of here. The airport handler and fuelers were so happy and friendly. Felt very welcomed. Can't wait to stay there.

Honestly - and I hope the Anguillan government reads this - this airport is enough to make me never come back to the island again. Three main problems: 1. “exit tax” extortion when you leave. No explanation but just pay 56 dollars for two people. Bad taste in mouth. 2. security. They also extort American Airlines passengers by forcing everyone into paying for plastic bags for their toiletries. Like four seasons / belmond guests are threats to Anguilla security with their La Prairie cremes? Ridiculous and basically 45 minutes of security for no reason. 3. No air conditioning. It’s Anguilla, one should have AC for slightly overweight Americans waiting for their planes. Honestly love the island and the people, but this airport angered me so much given the easy fixes / ability to leave a positive (not a negative) impression on guests I would be ashamed as the government. This is likely why Anguilla has half abandoned homes everywhere and tourism has not recovered.

Just a few minutes ago, I was attempting to enter the airport to drop off some of my traveling companion to were going to visit Saint Kitts. Myself and the driver that I was traveling with were almost physically accosted by a gentleman that says that he works for the airport he had on an orange vest and he wasn’t intoxicated or something. Yelling and screaming, wouldn’t let us proceed into the airport. He said every kind of curse word I am shocked. I have traveled to this country for over 20 years. I’ve never seen anything like this, but this gentleman said that he was the warden of the road there in the airport. Very very strange experience And he threatened to hit me and the driver frightening frightening our companions with all of their bags had to just get out of the car and try to get away from him and we backed out of the Airport.

If you arrive in Anguilla use Omar Davis on WhatsApp! Best Taxi Driver on the island his Vehicle is super nice and he has the best prices of all the shuttles you can get on the island! He is super kind and I’ve used many taxis his service is the best, and his prices are WAY better than anyone else trust me our party used a lot the week we were here.

Basic airport which is a god send. No faffing about. Customs are quick and easy - have your paperwork ready if using commercial flights. Take a drink as there’s nothing to purchase past security.

Security was awful. Made my wife buy a special bag only the airport sold to put small cosmetics. NEVER seen that anywhere else in the world. They never told us before packing. Security people unpleasant.

Nice airport with a beautiful sunset. Tower Controler did a good job dealing with all the pilots waiting to depart. Have not been into the terminal.

The American Airlines desk receptionist lady I dealt with today was horrible, so rude for no reason. Wouldn’t let me get on the flight when it hadn’t even started boarding, she said they decided to leave earlier today than scheduled time. She ended up letting me get on the flight but the rest of the group I was with missed it. Then when I was going through security they said I needed to have my liquids in a ziplock bag so they told me I needed to buy ziplock bags … AFTER I got through security ….. went to buy the ziplock bags for my makeup and skincare that was in my carry on… then they don’t even notice so I just spent money for no reason they basically just look for ways to make money off of you as your leaving. Oh and there’s a $28 departing tax.
