I just returned from Ani Dominican Republic, and I could not wait to write this review. Where do I begin? | Our arrival at the airport in Santo Domingo, we were greeted and taken through customs like we were very important. After we made our way through customs, we were brought to the VIP lounge where we were greeted by our Guest Services manager Leo. Leo informed us that our bus was ready to bring us to paradise whenever we were ready to board. Every question we had Leo had an answer. Everything we asked for, Leo got it done. If Leo is the first impression of what this trip was going to be, then we knew it was going to be Spectacular, Amazing, wonderful. Any word you can assert here for a great trip. | It is a little bit of a journey. 3 hours to be exact, but that was ok because we had an entire week of paradise ahead of us, oh and some beers and wine for the ladies. When we arrived at Ani, we were greeted with open arms and welcomed by the staff. our host Jazmine took us around the property and showed us where everything was located. She explained every room to us and showed us how everything worked. The best part was the automatic shades that you could put up and down right from your bed with the remote. | The daytime servers, Victor, Eduard, and Faustino were so attentive and accommodating, that by the end of the trip they knew exactly how you liked your coffee, and how you eat your eggs. They did an amazing job at taking care of every little detail, anything you asked for, they got it for you. | The activities were a blast. Soccer set up for the kids, cliff jumping for all, pickleball and tennis, whiffleball, anything we wanted to do Edison and Ronnie to care of it. Those 2 guys really know how to keep everyone engaged and ready for the next adventure. Ronnie took us on a hike one morning, and although it wasn't the easiest, it was a good way to start the day. Edison took others on a bike ride to the town of Rio San Juan, and from what I heard, it was a little challenging, but nothing too bad. Edison and Ronnie almost felt like part of the family, because they were there playing all the sports and pool, shuffleboard, darts, whatever activity we were doing, they were there with us. Apparently, Edison is a well-known cliff diver in the Dominican Republic, something we didn't find out until halfway through our stay #@edisonalcequiez. | The evening time servers Miguel, Jose Luis and Bienvenido, they were all that and a bag of chips, those guys really set the night off right. They were busy making drinks, serving dinner, and then making sure everyone was good for the night cap. I can't thank these guys enough. They made sure you were never empty handed, and knew exactly what you were drinking, and somehow knew when you were ready for another. That mamajuana they got going over there is a tasty little shot to set you right. | The rooms were gigantic and amazing, the beds were the best I have ever slept on. The housekeeping was impeccable. Laundry service provided daily for anything you needed cleaned. The little nighttime surprise gifts when you returned to your room after dinner. The turndown service, both sheets, and shades. How amazing!!!| I could go on for days about the experience we had at Ani. Francisco, as the new guy coming in, made sure everything was up to perfection. If something was amiss, he made sure it was taken care of and fixed. His attention to the details and even the small ones made you feel like you were truly welcomed, and it felt like he wanted you to be there staying at Ani. As his first family staying there, he could have said I am sorry I am new here, but his passion for what he does, and what seems like his love for life and the commitment to his job, he did not do that. Francisco made sure we felt at home. The entire staff at Ani were so welcoming from the faces in the front, to the people behind the scenes that you saw in passing. Everyone there made you feel like you have been friends for years. Thank You to everyone. It truly was a "Trip of a Lifetime." It is the little things that make this place so great.
