Google
The vibes 10/10. I’ve been to a couple of different Ani Ramen locations and the summit location is my new favorite. The specials menu is something you definitely need to take a look at and try (the bao buns and gyoza) but also don’t forget to try their regular appetizers and Ramen. Big ups to the GM, John, for making our experience enjoyable as he recommended several dishes that became our new go-tos. The servers brought out the food quickly and they were very attentive to our needs and made the experience all the more enjoyable. Definitely love the Halloween decorations! Looking forward to coming back. Note: location is BYOB so I recommend the Yuzu lemonade as a mixer!

Google
Tried this branch during a Yelp event and we started with Edamame and Japanese cucumbers which were very good starters - tasty with one crunchy and one soft. Next we got the Chicken Karaage and Shishito peppers which were nicely flavored and had this nice sweet and savory thick sauce to dip in. And then the shrimp bao which was the most enjoyable for me that night. Crunchy batter and soft buns with good sauces. The Shoyu ramen was good too but I actually was expecting something a little creamy. Good nonetheless but may not be the very best. I know I had their miso and chef special before in Montclair and I enjoyed those. Nevertheless, a good spot for Ramen. Wish they had takoyaki though.

Fantastic ramen with perfect broth on the vegan and the spicy miso. Well worth adding bao buns as well.

Google
Clean and simple set up. Greeted upon entry with very upbeat professional staff. Nothing spectacular about taste, I've lived in Korea and Japan so of course my expectations are high but it wasn't bad nor the presentation. Soy chicken glazed buns are beautiful but need some flavor...pickled onion maybe🤷🏽‍♀️, the Ramen was pretty decent...would come again when in the area.

My first time to visit Summit location, but not for my hubby and daughter. The place is spacious, more people to accommodate. Missed pork buns and chicken karaage. That’s what we ordered for a starter. Our main of course Ramen! 🍜 😋 Delizzzz!!! Service is fast and our waitress is very nice. 👍

Google
Food was packaged really well and looked great, the taste unfortunately was disappointing. I had the vegan ramen and it just tasted like really salty water, the noodles and veg tasted really good individually but the soup ruined it. And like most places they did not season the tofu even on the bao buns, it was the most bland fried tofu. You need to season or marinate tofu like you would with meat.

Google
One of the favorites to grab a ramen with chicken broth, this time tried their spicy miso ramen which was not spicy, the chicken in there was lacking flavor and couldn't finish it. But the broth was flavorful. Also, their chicken buns were delicious with crispy chicken and perfectly soft buns it was just perfect.

Summit’s Ani Ramen House is a new age ramen shop that surprises you with every experience. It’s pretty dark in here, with current music giving off a night club vibe. Ironically a great date night option. The staff are great and the food is pretty good. I didn’t really enjoy the ramen though, I think it’s on the overly salty side. The appetizers are definitely where it’s at. The wings are phenomenal and classics like the edamame are perfect. Stop in and give it a try!!

Yelp
I'm such an Ani Ramen fan! I love all their locations in NJ and their flavors are out of this world. We had a delicious brisket boa bun that had a beautiful chipotle sauce and the two flavors were just divine. The brisket literally melted in my mouth. The only thing I'm sad about is the change in noodles. I loved the thicker noodle that they used to serve.

Yelp
Last takeout order was terrible. Reached out on their website requesting a refund, and got no response back. Think I'm done with this place for good.

Frenda Y.

Yelp
The ramen broth is very subpar. There's not much flavor. If you had good ramen, you can tell the difference too. I guess if you were really craving ramen and had no where else to go, then this would be the place. The ramen isn't bad, it's just not good. The vibe and decoration inside is nice though

Yelp
Still my go-to, Ani Ramen in Montclair remains reliably tasty. Beautiful al dente noodles; finger-licking edamame; a rich, thick, spicy miso broth; and just yummy seared chicken were the highlights of my most recent visit. It was busy and packed at 7:30p a rainy, cold Saturday night, but my party of 2 got seated right away at the last table in the house. My spicy miso was excellent: although the noodles had overcooked by a minute, the crisp cabbage and alliums brought texture, and I'm subbing their chicken for pork belly every time now. I was less impressed by the chef's special ramen: the broth was definitely on the thin side, and finished briny, lacking umami. Service was a bit scattered. It took awhile for them to roll around to take our drink order; long enough that we had time to settle on drinks, apps, and entrees beforehand. I paid in cash (their receipt beseeches you not to pay by credit card) and they didn't give me all the coins needed to fully make change. Overall, nothing deters me from coming back the next time I'm in the mood for ramen.

Yelp
Second time I come to this place. Once last year and on Jan 4. Served by Michael C, who was pleasant. Honestly, I find Ani Ramen House expensive. I feel the eggs and mushrooms should be included in the broth's price. For the starter broth depending on which you get, it is either $16.00 or $16.50. Then for an egg, 2 pieces of mushroom and 4pieces of shrimp, it's $2 each. I'm ok paying that for the shrimp, but for the egg and 2 mushrooms I think it's pricey. Those two items should be included. I thought Ramen came included with those. At least at two other places I've eaten at, which I'll review later when I visit them again. I opted for the brothless ramen (Mazemen) and it was just ok. The noodles were kind of tasteless. It needed the broth. My daughter ordered the Shoyu Ramen. She liked hers. So $50 for two bowls of soup. Expensive. I've paid less for more. Even in NYC. And what annoyed me most is that they charge a 3% processing fee for use of credit cards (not debit). This fee, which is becoming common, is annoying. Why not just increase the price to offset the charges? I've been to smaller establishments that are not chains that do not charge the fees. I don't plan to return to this establishment.

Yelp
This was the first time trying ANI Ramen as I had a craving today and a DoorDash deal I had to use. I got the shift special Ramen and it was very flavorful.. I also got a side of the pork buns, which were very delicious. Probably better if I ate there obviously but I expected that overall it was a very solid experience.

Rich T.

Yelp
We were there for a quick bite with friends and it's in the busy downtown of summit. It's a big place and service is fast. The menu is extensive with many of the standard Japanese American offerings. You can get ramen which was decent. We also had some of the bins which were ok as well. If you are in summit and want a good quick bite bliss to the train station this is great.

H W.

Yelp
What's my favorite. Vegan with Chicken. Nice and hot and noodley, service is attentive and quick. Chicken wing appy and that will do it. A ramen for everyone and plenty of add on's. Definitely the ramenplacetobe.

Miladys G.

Yelp
I have tried a lot of ramen in New Jersey and this place definitely hits the spot of with their short rib ramen. It was so good. My only gripe you have to add egg to the ramen which I never heard of not even in Japan. The service was good. BYOB so bring the Sapporo beer to pair with your ramen. The place is a good size and okay to accommodate big parties. Parking is available on the street. Overall a good spot.

Grace S.

Yelp
Great service and family friendly environment. The wings were the selling point for me. The ramen nice and flavorful. I took a star off due to prices. $17 for a bowl of ramen and $12 for 4 wings is honestly steep. I also paid 2 extra bucks for a side of enoki mushrooms. Not sure it's worth it.

Joanne H.

Yelp
The broth was really flavorful but i took a star off because the soup was not super hot when it got to the table, since it was a cold night. Don't forget to order the fried kimchi on the side! It was SO delicious! The waiter/waitress that night were not super attentive as it was not a busy night. I was hoping the service would be a little bit better.

Rose N.

Yelp
I have been misled by all of the rave reviews. This is one of the worst ramen I have ever eaten in my life. Service was abysmal. If they have checked on me, I would have told them that the pork belly was missing from my expensive $17 ramen. For $17 it portions should be larger or food should be tastier. It was not well seasoned. There was no flavor. There was no balance. It was really meh. RIP to my tastebuds. I ordered the chef special and I really wish I would have just starved tonight. Ambiance: children throwing tantrums and parents not parenting.

Sne G.

Yelp
Lives up to its standard, always a safe bet for good Ramen ! I have been to other Ani Ramen locations in NJ and they all are great. The vegan ramen was delicious and they made it spicy on request, the tofu bao buns were crispy fresh and yummy. Highly recommend

M B.

Yelp
Recently we were craving ramen and Ani used to be so good, regardless of their ridic prices. It's not even good ramen any more. Take-out now comes in a hideous plastic bowl (it was a sturdy cardboard before). There were no mushroom in the vegan ramen! It was noodles, broth and some bits of carrot and greens. What a loser bowl of ramen for $19. In addition, I'm a member of their loyalty rewards program. I was entitled to a free bowl of ramen and an order of bao buns. When I placed the order on the app and tried to use both OR either of these rewards (just in case you can't use 2 at a time), it said unable to process. What a useless, POS app. So thanks for nothing Ani. So sad that I used to recommend you to anyone looking for a delicious bowl of ramen and some bao buns. You got too big for yourself. There are other ramen games in town.

Andrew M.

Yelp
I've been to Ani Ramen in Montclair and Summit.. both are great. Ramen is flavorful with lots of noodles, and plenty of chicken, shrimp or whatever protein you order. Chicken wing appetizer is a MUST!

Anthony N.

Yelp
Went to ani ramen for a quick date night with my wife, and as per usual the food just decent. As this is my wife's favorite place I constantly am giving it multiple chances. Not anymore the 3% fee made my blood boil. Not only is it insulting to pay 17.00 for a bowl of noodles and broth but now charging me more for what? Where does that 3% goto? Rising cost of inflation? Or just a quick steady money grab. I asked the waitress what the fee was for and she couldn't give me a direct answer... So my final take food is over priced plus they rob ya for 3% of you want to spend 50 bucks on ramen noodles and then pay an additional surcharge fee come here!

Yelp
A tale of inconsistency and lack of accountability. A week or so back my family and I ordered from Ani Ramen House in Summit NJ. On this occasion we were delighted to receive excellent food. So it was not even a question that we would order again soon. However, this evening we ordered from Ani Ramen in Summit NJ and we had quite a disappointing experience. For starters my wife and daughter ordered a vegan ramen bowl and it came without broth. Both my wife and I called the restaurant and were unable to speak with a person, we could only leave a message. I understand mistakes happen, I just wish there was a person available to either provide us with the broth, or refund our purchase. This meal was made somewhat edible by microwaving some vegetable stock we had at home. Next, my meal of shrimp panko rice was lukewarm. The shrimp seemed like pre breaded shrimp from the freezer section at a supermarket, and they only give you four tiny shrimp. The vegetables were supposed to be pickled somewhere, some were not. Just rather disappointing.

Yelp
First time to any Ani Ramen House, and consider me impressed. A food as 'simple' as ramen, elevated to an unexpected level. Went with the Chef's Special ramen. The combination of flavors and the touch of heat, led by the lemongrass, ginger and chili paste created a delicious foundation. The pork belly was fall apart tender. For a novice such as myself who's only experience had been with the college-variety rehydrated ramen-in-a-cup, this was eye-opening. My dining companion opted for the brothless Tan Tan Mazemen. Just the right amount of heat, with a couple of miso-glazed baby back ribs that were fall-off-the-bone tender. Another winner. For apps, we shared a plate of wings. A crispness akin to Korean wings, along with the flavor of the glaze led to a finger-licking deliciousness. To be honest, these wings are quite sticky as a finger food. A nice touch would be a wet-nap or a warm hot towel afterwards. The extra napkins are key here, but a trip to the bathroom to wash my hands was much needed due to the stickiness factor. Along with the wings, we did a bowl of edamame. Even those were elevated with a nice char, sea-salt, and a hint of oil. They may have been edamame, but even this course was elevated above standard. I'm already ready to return, both for ramen and to sample other menu items. Honestly, while the ramen was delicious, the highlight just may have been those wings! Friendly, helpful service. Nice overall vibe with an open kitchen design. Reservations accepted at this location. Large central 'common-tables' for walk-ins and larger parties. No private parking, but spots are readily available a short walk away (or right in front if you're lucky). BYOB

Yelp
The restaurant had a cool design! All the ramen options had a chicken broth base which I found strange since pork is traditional. I ordered the Spicy Miso - the broth had a sour kick and was really salty. I did like that the pork wasn't too fatty and that the noodles had a great chew! The food took a while to come out, especially considering it was just ramen.

Vincent B.

Yelp
So good! Menu is unique and fantastic. Bao Buns are a must-have. All of the ramen dishes are awesome. Delivery is fast. Great for dine-in too. Fun atmosphere.

Madeline L.

Yelp
Best kimchi I've had (as a non-Korean, kimchi novice). Good and quick. Wish they had gluten-free ramen options. Crispy tofu salad is tasty, just wish it had more tofu. Feels a little overpriced. Overall, a place I'll return to.

Sara B.

Yelp
As always, Ani Ramen delivers with the goods. I've been to their spot in JC several times, but this was my first time visiting Summit. JC has a drink menu, but in Summit they are BYOB. There is a brand new brewery next door if you want to pick up any beer to enjoy with your ramen. As expected this location is way quieter than JC. At 7 PM on a weekday it was pretty empty. Tables are properly social distanced with glass protectors in between and they also have outdoor greenhouse style seating. It feels crazy to visit and not order ramen, but ordering a variety of small plates is also an incredible meal. The bao are just outstanding. I went with pork belly, but let it be known that I also wanted shrimp and chicken. Forget small plates... I could literally make an entire meal out of their soft and pillowy bao. I also tried marinated cucumbers in a tasty sesame sauce, sweet and crunchy chicken wings and a shrimp rice bowl. These definitely feel like small plates -- the wings only come with four and the bowl only comes with four small shrimp. But all in this exactly the right amount of food for two. Their ramen is so filling that if you are ordering a bowl you probably don't need much else to satisfy. But man, those bao. Visiting Ani and not ordering bao would just be wrong. We washed everything down with a tasty and refreshing Yuzu lemonade. Service was speedy and friendly, and we were in and out in around 45 minutes!

Gabe P.

Yelp
Probably my favorite spot for ramen in the surrounding area. They definitely do their ramen the right way for those wanting a legit bowl of noodles. They have all the kinds of broth and additions you could want. Broths include shoyo, miso and a vegetarian broth. The additions include the egg, extra charshu pork, and noodles. What really surprised me was their wings though! I would honestly come there for those wings alone. The food comes fast and the price is very fair for the food you get. I will for sure be a regular here!

Shannon M.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk past but the Pao Buns give you Pao flavor! I had the Chef's Special Ramen and added egg and shrimp to it and it was delightful. It was a great experience that popped my ramen cherry. I defined would come back again! The only downside is that it is BYOB, on the website it does say otherwise. There is a liquor store a few doors down!

Ian J.

Yelp
Decent ramen, but very small portions. It is just noodle soup after all, and for minimum of $16/bowl you'd expect a little more going on. Maybe it's just because of the Summit location? There's hardly anything in these bowls. Service is friendly and fast. The place is super dark inside which was kind of strange, but that's what they're going for. Felt like a fancified pub in Ireland with newspaper and comic books plastering the walls, except instead of drinking Guinness you're slurping a handful of noodles and bone broth. Now the actual dishes were tasty, I can't deny that, but again it is just ramen in the end. I could've made a pack of Shin Black at home with a little onion or an egg thrown into it and had an equal experience for fraction of the cost. It's not something so complex that you're better off enjoying it made by professionals, in fact it's quite the opposite so maybe that's my bigger criticism. Ultimately, I suppose if you're looking for ramen and don't want to make it, this place will do it for you.

Nicholas M.

Yelp
Came here with some co-workers and were surprised at how spacious the place was. Parking was fine because there is a parking lot right behind the building that lets you park for an hour free. The interior is big and spacious with lots of seating. This place can seats many people and is very aesthically pleasing to the eye. The server was nice and gave us water when we needed it and food came out pretty quick. Food: I personally got the spicy miso Ramen and the noodles were aldente. Broth was slightly spicy with the oils they added to the miso.Loved the braised Pork, it was tender and there was a decent amount. However I did wish I had more noodles. Not big enough portions for the price it is. My co-workers and I did notice that the broth was not hot but more on the warmer side and my friend added an egg to his order and found that it was cold. If the place added more portions to their meal and gave us hotter soup, I think this would be a 5/5 stars. However due to complaints on the soup and egg, I would mark it down to a 3.5/5. Hopefully they will improve the next time I come.

Joyce C.

Yelp
I was reluctant to write this review because this franchise literally has a cult following and I have friends that love this spot. I want to preface this by stating that I'm pretty picky when it comes to ramen so it may seem like I'm nitpicking on minor details but they're dealbreakers for me. Let's start with what I liked. I've been here a handful of times now and I can attest that the service here is top notch. My waiters have always been bubbly, helpful and attentive. If it's your first time, they will be more than willing to give you a brief rundown of the menu along with a few recommendations. I always get the pork belly buns whenever I'm here. They're soooo good. I crave it from time to time and it's the only reason I keep coming back. I would say that the ramen here is a hit or a miss. It's a solid 3/5. I only really order the spicy miso ramen but I feel like it tastes a little different each time I'm here. Today the broth was kind of bland. For me, the broth is an integral part of ramen so it was really disappointing. I normally order my ramen with an extra egg so I was shocked to find out that each bowl of ramen doesn't already come with half an egg...that's a huge no-no! Today was the only time I've had a bowl of ramen sans an egg and I wouldn't recommend it. The portion is not big at all but I couldn't even finish my bowl because I didn't really like it. I hate to have to compare this spot to other ramen shops in NYC but if it weren't for the location I wouldn't be so generous with the rating. Ani Ramen is still your best bet for ramen in North Jersey outside of the JC/Hoboken area but don't expect to be blown away...

Jenny L.

Yelp
Food: The ramen was indeed in the better end of the spectrum of ramens you can get around the area. The broth they had a lot of flavor and I really enjoyed my ramen. I thought the extra noodles that you can order was of a different noodle variety (I personally liked what the extra noodles were vs what originally came with the ramen). The pork bun appetizers were delicious and that was executed very well. Cost: The ramen in my opinion was on the more expensive end. I was expecting a more 'robust' ramen bowel for the price. Environment: The place had a nice open feel. I like how it almost felt like you were in a lunch room with the family shared seating style. I thought the way they decorated the walls were genius and I think it was a very creative approach. Service: The appetizer was brought out quickly but it seemed like the ramen orders took a very long time. I understand it busy, there must've been tons of ramen orders coming through but this place is suppose to specialize in ramen and the menu is really mostly ramen dishes and so I thought they would be able to output more of the orders than they did. Uniqueness: Finding a good ramen restaurant is very difficult. I have gone to several places but they all seemed to have their little flaws. I thought that broth wise, this place was pretty good but there are still little things that I personally found it to be deal breakers for me. However, in a if I was craving ramen but didn't want to travel far, I wouldn't mind coming here for a bit to eat!

Florence C.

Yelp
Ani is ok. Their tapas-style menu works well for family-style dining and their ramen's pretty good. I ordered a bunch of little plates of edamame (which they customized to not spicy for my 3-year-old), fried tofu, wings, and fried gyoza filled with pork and chives. All were pretty good to good, except the skin on the wings were a little soggy and the "spicy" ones weren't spicy. Their Spicy Miso Ramen of chicken broth, miso tare, chashu pork, kakuni (braised pork belly), spinach, bean sprouts, and chili oil was also good but lacked depth of flavor and wasn't spicy at all. But the Chef's Ramen Signature Dish of short rib ramen and braised beef was a real winner for my hubs, especially because of a super beefy broth. They offer a lot of toppings/add-ins like mushrooms, meats, and spices so you can have your ramen Ani way you want. ;) NOTES/TIPS: **Plenty of parking in paid lot across the street (Deforest & Woodland St. lot), some street parking **Family-friendly, excellent, fast, and friendly service **Connected to Luigi's Ice Cream in the front and across the street from 16 Handles.

Purpose T.

Yelp
I would give 5 stars, but this location charges a convenience fee for using a card - which it would be nice to say so on the menu or beforehand. The maplewood location doesn't do this (not when I was there recently). I didn't like that, at all. Other than that, the food was exquisite and the service was a little lackluster but overall okay. I had the shrimp bao buns and for the first time, the don buri bowl w/chicken. Everything was delicious!!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Very trendy and clean atmosphere. Seating available inside and outside. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Food was super fresh and came out in a timely manner. We shared the cucumber, bao buns (shrimp), wings and edamame. I also ordered the special kimchi ramen while my friend got the chefs special. Noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was nice. Added the soft boiled egg to both bowls of ramen, super delish! Will note that they would not do our separate orders. Only split the bill down the middle, which Works for some parties and I imagine not for others. If you can't find street parking there's a paid parking area a block or two down the street. Lots of other stores (they do all close by 6-7PM) to check out while you're there!

Shubham S.

Yelp
I'm a huge ramen advocate and I literally wanted to come in here to tell anyone who is a real ramen eater to not try ani ramen.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
The pork buns and ramen are off the chain! The service was also very polite. The atmosphere was cool, it had newspaper all over the walls!

Angelica J.

Yelp
Ani Ramen is my favorite place for ramen! I usually go to the one located in Montclair, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try out the one in Summit. This location is definitely a lot bigger than the one in Montclair which I like because the wait time can get pretty long in Montclair. I love the artwork on the wall, definitely gives off really nice vibes to the restaurant as a whole. I ordered a spicy miso ramen and pork belly bao buns. The broth for my ramen is absolutely fire. The broth was very flavorful and they were very generous with the amount of pork they put in. The pork belly buns are so delicious. I believe the spicy miso mayo that they used for the buns really did give a kick to the taste. I wish they added a bit more lettuce, but the buns were still very good. I did find the ramen to be a bit pricey especially if you want to include add-ons to the ramen. I personally do not eat a lot and I found myself not very full after finishing the ramen. For a $14 ramen, I feel like they can definitely give a bit more noodles and broth. The buns are $9 and they only give two. The buns were very good, but I still find $9 a bit too pricey-- they should probably give at least 3 or 4 buns for it to be worth $9. Overall, this place can definitely get very loud, but I still love the vibes it gives. This ramen is still my favorite, but the prices can be a bit too much for me. I will definitely come back, but probably not as often as I would like.

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Went there on my lunch today, I work in town so I only have an hour, Service was fast. I probably could've been there maybe 20 minutes but I eat slow and I was on my phone so I was there most of my lunch. Honestly, not a huge fan of Ramen so I went there more to try the side dishes. I got the shrimp bao buns and the chicken wings which they give you 2 different flavors: seven spice dry rub and sake soy glaze. Shrimp bao buns: really good, wish the shrimp was bigger. I usually go to Inspiration Roll for those and they are much larger. But the flavors were still really good. $9 seemed like much was a bit more gourmet. Very good! Chicken wings: So delishes! I honestly wish there were more. I honestly was surprised by the small portion or I should say what I consider a small portion. I got 5 pieces and my only biggest disappointment was I got 2 of the seven spice dry rub, which I never had before and absolutely loved! And I got 3 of the sake soy glaze... If I had gotten and even amount, like 3 and 3 THEN I would say the $9 was worth it. It was all good but I was actually sad when I finished the second seven spice flavored chicken, I wanted more. Still very good! Service: Excellent, although maybe I was checked on a little too much? Haha maybe because you are guys are new so I get it. Also, Julia is very sweet! Hit a girl up ;-) lol Overall, very yummy, I will be coming back again on lunch to try some other stuff!

Michelle L.

Yelp
Our family absolutely love Ani Ramen. We always get the chef special, Bao buns and wings! Great service, clean, always happy services and guests inside. We go to both Summit & Jersey Cory Location regularly.

Tom L.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Ani ramen....I've been going since they first opened in Montclair, and driven over the state to support their various ventures over their years (going to the omakase at their jersey city location, going to their annual ramen eating contest). I was excited to see that they had at home ramen kits and the closest location that had it was summit. So I placed an order, drove over 30 minutes away, and showed up only to be told that they don't make them anymore (I received an email confirmation as well). Their initial response was "sorry, we'll refund you in the coming days". Eventually they agreed to make it and the guys at the front were apologetic and put it together rather quickly so they get a star for that, but the manager wouldn't even come out and apologize or explain the situation. I hope the kits are good but this was by far the worst experience I've had with Ani (actually the only bad experience)

Melina S.

Yelp
January 18, 2020 - One of the only restaurants open during this storm and it was perfect for this weather! As always, the Pork Buns were on point. The Pork was juicy and full of flavor, while the Bun was the perfect texture. The Wings fell apart in your mouth (in a good way) and I just wanted them to keep on coming. The service is always great, however, I do wish that there were to go boxes.

Dominique R.

Yelp
I was looking for a ramen place in New Jersey for some time now. I finally was able to try this place for take out and have to say it was delicious. I loved how everything was packaged nicely for takeout so nothing would spill or get soggy. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and edamame. I added eggs and tofu to my ramen. Portions were huge with plenty of noddles and broth. The broth flavor was delicious and great for a cold day. Definitely will be coming back.

Song K.

Yelp
I came here while visiting my little brother. He got the shoyu ramen and I opted for the spicy miso ramen. Mine tasted something I could've gotten from the store to be honest lol. His had a must more authentic taste and I would highly recommend trying that one if youre able to stop by. They start you off with complimentary cucumbers which I thought were interesting, sort of like a sweet and sour pickle. My favorite were the pork and shrimp bao - YUMM. I would come back and throw back a couple of those.

Yelp
Great food and great service from our waitress. Questionable front of house actions. While having dinner with a party of 8. Two to three feet away from me and my family (table sat 10/community style)wait staff, bus boys, hostess were bringing out racks of washed silverware, glassware, plates . I reached out no response to what I guess is common practice for this restaurant.

Yelp
Chicken Bao bun, the sauces are flavorful but the chicken is too thick and not juicy. Tofu Bao Bin tastes really good. All the Ramens we got are pretty good. If you like spicy go for the Chefs special Ramen and don't forget to mention Spicy . It tastes soooo good :)

Yelp
Delicious! They have options for all food allergies and are next to Mochinut for dessert. Good, fast service. Parallel parking only, which is usually not hard to find on weekdays.

Yelp
Incredible food, wheelchair accessible, and such a fun vibe! We had a lovely, patient server who walked us through the whole menu. I loved the spicy miso ramen and bao buns, they were just perfect. The decor is awesome, you could dress up for a date night or roll up in a tshirt, anything goes. It's BYOB, but you can find great sake at the nearby wine store.

Yelp
What should I say? Worst ramen I ever had in my life, cannot be called ramen, I'd call it better version of instant noodles. Also it cost more than average ramen in New York City, don't know why!

Yelp
Big fan of this location. There's a huge parking lot in the back. It's easy to get a table also unlike their Jersey City and Montclair locations. I have only come at night a few times so may be it's tougher then. The bao buns are always on point. I docked a star because the ramen normally is great. One time, I ordered with my friend and we both didn't feel great after. But not sure if it was the wine or the ramen. Also, a waiter stopped me from ordering more noodles because he was worried for me. Dude, let a girl live. (Yes, felt a little bit judged.) But otherwise a decent spot to go to! I cannot wait for the other Ani Ramen locations to open!

Yelp
Let me start this by saying I'm arguably Ani Ramen's biggest fan. I've gone to a number of their locations but Summit is the best and most convenient. Their food and service are TOP notch I highly recommend the spicy miso ramen, but only after starting with the pork buns (okay let's be real, ANY of the buns are delicious) and the special wings. Their food is fresh and unlike any other ramen place. In the RARE chance that something was messed up, they go above and beyond to make it right. I travel 40 minutes to eat at Ani Ramen and have no regrets. Can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
The food is good but if you do takeout factor in at least a 30 minute wait after your pick up time. They haven't figured out how to manage the flow of the dine in and takeout business.

Yelp
I need the first line of this review to be how surprised I am that this restaurant is in Summit lol I need y'all to understand how incredibly and pleasantly surprised I was that a ramen shop that plays hip hop music that I'm sure 90% of the demographic there doesn't even know exists in this part of NJ. I absolutely loved it based off the vibes alone. I swore I was in the Bay area, Philly or NY. Yes, it was a little loud but honestly, as a millennial that lives for spaces like these, it was perfect. If loud music isn't your thing (or hip-hop) it might not be the place for you.... UNTIL you eat the food because then you'll come back regardless lol The restaurant was a pretty big size and had a little of a wait when we first got there. But the servers did a pretty good job of turning over tables and getting people seated as quickly as possible. Once we ordered the food, the service was a little slow but considering that they were packed, it wasn't horrible. I ordered the special Korean fried wings, edamame, shrimp bun, Ani ramen, and spicy miso ramen. The menu was a little pricer than most ramen spots but I guess for the area it was average. The wings were amazing. I'm sad they're not a permanent part of the menu because the sauce was delicious and the wings were perfectly fried. The edamame wasn't served like the typical steamed and salted dish. It was pan seared and had a smoked flavor, making it unique. The shrimp bun was delicious. The sweetness from the bun really paired nicely with the crispy/salty shrimp and pickled veggies. I could eat these and the wings alone as a meal and be satisfied honestly. Now for the ramen...I absolutely loved the spicy miso ramen. The spice was not over bearing and I did add a good amount of chili oil to kick it up but I liked that. Sometimes spicy ramen can get carried away, I felt like this was a happy medium and it was NOT too salty. AMEN. I did wish there were more toppings inside of it though other than the spinach and bean sprouts. I really love bamboo shoots it mushrooms in my ramen. The egg also was not marinated as long as I would've loved. It tasted like a plain boiled egg. The Ani ramen was yummy too, surprisingly a little bland which was a first for me. I have sensitivity to salt so I don't like when things are unnecessarily salty, but this actually needed some. When the chilli oil was added it did make a difference though. I loved the noodles used for this bowl. Other than those little hiccups, I would be willing to try it again or a different ramen dish. All in all, is this the best ramen I've had? No. But the appetizers were delicious and the atmosphere was everything I needed. So I will definitely be back here!
