ANIMAL Tijuana

From the minute I walked in I could tell this was going to be a unique experience. I walked in no reservation but was seated immediately and sat at the sushi bar. Omar was patient and accommodating. Explaining the regional menu and styles. I asked him to order what he recommended. He sent out two sashimi dishes and toro nigiri. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. On par with Michelin graded sushi. From there we pivoted and just ordered all sushi. Omar was there every step of the way. The experience the food the atmosphere. All top notch. I absolutely look forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu and being serviced by Omar.

Great service i would definitely come back! Everyone was great and i felt like i was in Cancun all over again. Big thanks to Christian Odin, Felipe, and Jonathan Vasquez, who made sure we had a great experience! I will definitely return! 😊

Animal Tijuana has a great service, specialty sushi rolls and fresh sashimi. There is a great play room for kids with nice and attentive supervisors, they even offer to do homework with kids, even though our son hasn’t used it yet. They also have variety of steaks to complement sushi. There are English speaking waiters here as well, which makes it easier for us, as we speak little Spanish. Christian takes care of us most often and he’s attentive and provides great help whenever needed. The ambiance is upscale casual, people come dressed up, but there isn’t a strongly enforced dress code. Great time every time!

Really good seafood and carnivores selections. The staff was very prompt and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the experience. However I did notice just a small amount of gas taste in the entree, I assume they took over gas.

Our waiter Odin and Julian were great. First time here, and they had great recommendations on food. Drink were great music was contagious. Overall 5 stars will be coming back soon.

Abraham was our waiter. I have an allergy to gluten and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. It was a great experience, definitely will return.

This restaurant is the definition of a fine dining experience. My waiter Christain was excellent. The food was exciting and amazing. This might be the best dining I have experienced in many years of fine dining in many parts of the US and Mexico.

Animal recently opened up in Tijuana, but it brought all the energy and excellence it's known for in CDMX. You can feel the reputation--service is next-level. There are so many staff around to help that you literally don't want for anything. Water's filled, plates cleared, recommendations offered... it's all handled. The food? Incredible. I ordered the short rib and it was rich, tender, and packed with flavor. They've also got sushi, tacos, and all kinds of creative small plates. Definitely something for everyone! Great drink options too, whether you're into mezcal, wine, or something more playful. And the space itself is stunning. Super modern, but still warm. Fancy, but not too fancy, you know? Would be perfect for date night or just dinner with friends. If you've heard the hype--yep, it lives up to it. Can't wait to go back.

Had a fantastic experience here for my first restaurant in Mexico. Terrific service (Thank you Omar!), delicious food and fun atmosphere. I had so many wonderful dishes, I can't wait to come back! The salmon ceviche is an absolute must try.

Went last week on Thursday for my 35th, wanted to see what the hype was about, alongside my family. The place is nice and the vibes are cool and all but the service is terrible. Our server never brought out my sisters dish, we basically all ate and she just watched us eat our dinner. We had to remind our server twice, he never apologized, he just blamed it on the cook. This made us think he had forgot to put in her order. Also, we were seated right at the entrance where all the traffic of the guests and servers was, made it a little uncomfortable.

I have had the pleasure of dining at Animal Tijuana, twice now. First of all the name of the restaurant caught my attention after the place was recommended to me by a Tijuana resident. Excellent service, everyone from the hostess (there were multiple) to the wait staff and the Captains, The food was really good, with a variety on their menu. The first time was at a table and the second time I dined at the restaurant was at the sushi fusion bar. Both experiences were excellent. Definitely recommend this fine restaurant.

Para ser sincero este es el restaurante más perron al que yo e ido este último año. El mesero y más que nada su asistente nos trataron de una manera que se sentía pariente y urgente. Todos los platos llegaban a buen tiempo y venían con linda explicación. La horchata está suavecita y cremosa, el plato de 5 tacos estaba calientito y los condimentos bien frescos. Su sabor era una representación adecuada de el taco. El Rollo Roca tenía un arrocito calientito con el relleno frío creando una textura única acompañada con un crunch. El rollo Animal fue una sorpresa, pepino en lugar de alga con una cremita de coco bien dulce. El dumpling de costillita con la cama de maíz y tamarindo era agridulce, caliente, y bien bien suavecita la costillita. A mi no me interesa el wagyu steak pero la hamburguesa wagyu con papas truffle fueron algo chingon. Si están en Tijuana se lo recomiendo que lo prueben más que sea una vez. Ya regreso
